TAKE ALL OF YOUR LEATHER ITEMS HERE! There was a fire in my building, which caused significant smoke damage to all of my belongings. I had worked with Leather Spa previously and knew the lengths this family owned business went to in making each item they service perfect. Given I needed approximately 20 handbags, 60 pairs of shoes and boots, and 40 leather coats, skirts and other clothing restored, the Leather Spa was the only place I trusted.I worked most closely with Josephine and Fabian, who took great care to sit with me and catalog each item that needed to be restored. Although Josephine came in on her day off for me, the process was not rushed. Once the process was completed, they kept me updated on the status of the work.Just looking at how the items were packaged as they were being delivered gave me confidence that I would not be disappointed once I started unpacking. To say the work done was impeccable is an understatement. Every single item was beautifully restored and far exceeded my expectations. There are not enough good things for me to say about the Leather Spa. They made a very stressful time a lot easier by the care they took in working with me right down to following up to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I’m a convert for life! My unfortunate no good very bad day happened last year when my Louboutin became lodged in my buildings escalators step treads. The skinny heel had gotten stuck in between the tread and though I managed to get my actual foot out, the heel got stuck, the escalator had eaten it, and while Im screaming at the desk people to STOP the escalator, my shoe gets further and further wedged into the top landing platform. Im wondering if this should be a review for the amazingly crafted Louboutins! The heel never broke off, just bent (to where Id look like the wicked witch of the west wearing it)... Its made of steel!As stressful and sad as that day was, it had been the suggestion of many of my red heeled bottom friends that I only go to Leather Spa...and though the first time was at the Grand Central location, and I cannot say that the customer service is amazing, when I received the shoes a couple weeks later in the mail, they looked flawless. Like seriously. SERIOUSLY whoa! I was looking at a brand new pair of shoes. I wish I could take my car into them. Or have the cobbler as a roommate...I think they are less concerned with the quality of staff minding the register and taking orders. Not super friendly, sort of robotic. They do, however, have a convenient website displaying a detailed menu of services to choose from and then receive a written quote of the services. Ive now had 3 pairs of Louboutins, and a Chanel bag revived. I will upload pics when I get home. Best. Ever.

When the owner lady makes mistake, she blame it on the customer saying that the instructions were not clear..🤦‍♀️ And what are you going to say about poor quality finishes..? Not clear instructions as well…?Never going back because of the owner lady who blames others for their poor work.

I brought my leather backpack to the Leather Spa about a month and a half ago. It needed a repair on the outside due to some weather being spilled on it by mistake. When I brought the backpack in I was promised it would be “almost like new”. Confident I’d get it repaired I was happy to pay the full amount has requested. Before leaving the store I was told to expect an email letting me know when the item was going to be ready (2 to 3 weeks after). My wife called 4 weeks after and I was informed it was finally ready and no email was ever received, I figured it wasn’t that big of a deal. I went to the store excited to pick up my backpack and it looked exactly like it did before I brought it in and I was told that it was the best they could do. Left extremely disappointed, I was really hoping for a better experience.

I sent my favorite Christian Louboutin shoes to Leather Spa. I work in Porsche sales and walk a lot in these shoes. I thought they were beyond repair, but Leather Spa brought them back to brand new condition. This is the only place I will ever send my shoes for the rest of my life. Well done Leather Spa. So rude and so overpriced!! The prices are not consistent, and they charge you based on your appearance and the item that you are bringing in to get the most money. They used to be the go to place for repairs, but their are not as good as they were in the past, yet their prices keep going up. Don’t get fleeced... there are a lot of really good leather repair businesses in New York doing better work, with better service, reasonable prices, and a lot nicer people!!

Leather Spa is the best shoemaker around, I come from New Jersey to bring my shoes there. They have fantastic customer service and they are always honest and up front. Josephine and Fabian are amazing and always willing to help and find a solution to fix any problem you may have with your shoe repair. Had a great experience going to the Leather Spa for the first time at this midtown store. Vincent helped me out at the counter one evening after work with some summer loafers. I had an issue with the heel sole having fallen off, and also needed to get some new insoles. He was helpful in guiding me to the summer insoles that let me wear my shoes without socks, and gave me the hookup with gluing back on my heel at no cost while I waited with some complimentary candies in store. I appreciate the team going the extra mile to make me happy.

Josephine and the staff at Leather Spa are phenomenal. I came in on a Saturday evening (right before close) and she took care of me immediately. The item that I brought in is a one-of-a-kind luggage piece (which I made the mistake of taking to another store local to Philadelphia causing the need for correction), Josephine assured that there would be significant attention to detail placed on the bag and introduced me to the owner as well. Their team rushed the job for me as I am leaving town next week. I look forward to updating with their work!

Does not disappoint ❣️. On all my vintage bag finds, they do amazing job cleaning and restoring inside out. Even re-do a whole inside with new material of my choice but original (1970 Gucci) zippers, pockets, and label. And restored my worn Chanel so I can continue enjoying them!!! I dropped off a white leather purse that was filthy inside and out, but when I picked it up it looked brand new! literally spotless and all of the wrinkles were gone, they even cleaned the whole interior. Sent two pair of new Christian Louboutin men’s dress shoes to have the sole guard and English heel applied. Very easy to get the quote and pay. They have outstanding customer service and the quality of the products are great. They completed both pairs of shoes in a very timely manner and the shoes were very well packaged for return shipping. Leather Spa is awesome. Hard to believe there is a shop in midtown with hard working staff doing a great job in a nice setting and great prices. I was shocked that they do a shine for $4 when just about every service provider of any kind in midtown price gouges us for the privilege of visiting them just because of their location. Absolutely the best shoe repair service I have ever seen. They completely renovated my pair of Chanel espadrilles and they look brand new! All my friends were asking if I got a new pair :) great job! Today I received my pair of Christian Louboutin which I destroyed almost completely due a ugly weather on NYE I was about to throw them out to garbage but thanks to Leather Spa team I have brand new shoes that they look better than ever !!! I was there about 4 days ago to pick up my Gucci mules. They were supposed to clean the velvet on the shoe and took it upon themselves to clean the satin on the inside of the shoe. When i got it back, they acted as if nothing happened, my satin was completely frayed and destroyed. The manager or whom ever she is looked at me like i was some kind of moron and basically laughed in my face. They took 15 dollars off my 50 dollar service as if that was going to help me out when my shoe is valued at 1250 dollars. I’m am beyond outraged at this. Don’t go here if you expect good customer service. They’ll just laugh in your face if you have an issue. I sell shoes for a living and design them as well. Don’t tell me i don’t know what the process is to clean a shoe. I want a refund for these shoes i can no longer wear.

Don’t go here! Spent a ridiculous amount of money for an off the foot spit shine. Came back an hour and a half later to find out the spit shine was as dull as can be. Could not wait for them to correct the problem as I was heading back out of the city. What a shame! I often bring a bag of shoes into the city to get spiced up and this was the first time I tried this place as the name seemed appealing. I positively will not go back!

Substandard service and work. The most horrible customer service, especially by the manager, Josefina Ferreira. Took my Gucci purse in and got it back ruined. They attempted to fix it after she arrogantly told me that it was “Impossible” that they would not. She completely ignored my complaint and said that there was nothing else that could be done. Funny that there was a positive review about Josefina an hour after I left. It is THE WORST service I have ever received. She acted like she did not care and did nothing to make this customer happy. She refused to give me a refund or a discount for ruining the purse. Very disappointed. How do these people stay in business? Shoppers BEWARE!!!! @leatherspa spare me the arrogant response that you always reply to your unhappy customers.

This was, and has always been the best to have things cleaned or repaired. Unlike other stores, if they feel that the work will not come out satisfactory, they wont do the work. Yes its hectic in there, and always was, from when they began on the other side of 55th st. But their work is excellent. Just have some patience.

I received excellent customer service and workmanship on my Louis Vuitton handbag!

I dropped off my cream handbag and gloves to have them cleaned. Ive taken the bag to the shoe repair and had it cleaned previously and it came out beautifully for $35. I thought taking it to the Leather Spa would be better given they specialize in it and Ive heard so much. My bag is much darker, not as soft and they only cleaned the outside of the bag. I paid $140 and it looks and feels worse than when I dropped it off. Not happy at all. As for my gloves, they did a great job of removing the ink from the gloves, however the ink stain is still visible on the inside of the glove. I paid $80. For each item I was told, when I picked it up that the inside was not included in the price. Not happy with the Leather Spa at all. Seems high prices just for the name and what the could do for your item. Funny my contact at Prada sent me to the store. Cant wait to tell her how disappointed I was and to warn her when sending her clients there again. Probably not the best place to take a very light leather item unless you are okay with the color change.

Very good service. Expensive but worth it. Even though my wife and I no longer live in NYC, we use them (via mail order) for all our shoe repair needs. They managed to restore some shoes that I thought were hopeless.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR SHOES HERE!!! Honestly judging from all the reviews here Leather Spa definitely lives up to its reputation of poor customer service and substandard workmanship. I brought a pair Alexander Wang boots to be resoled and in one month Ive had to go back 3 times because because the sole has kept coming undone. The last time I was there the guy at drop-off was rude and insisted that they needed a week to literally glue the sole back on! Fortunately, I had enough sense to demand that they be fixed the same day since after all its theyre fault that theyre falling apart in the first place. What really got me is that when I went to pick them up the guy THREATENED me that they wont be fixing them next time. First off, I am the CUSTOMER and I paid them to a job and it is certainly not my fault that it was done so poorly that Ive had to go back so many times. I felt really uncomfortable by his comment so all I really said was that I certainly do not wish to keep coming back as it is a huge inconvenience for me! I dont expect to be threatened at an establishment where I am paying money in exchange for a service. They need to reevaluate the way they speak to their customers as well as the work that they do because judging from my recent experience they are more concerned with INTIMIDATING and STEALING from their customers than running an honest business.

Without a question the finest shoe repairs in the country.Sourcing materials not found elsewhere and, I look for excellent repair places. Often when I buy new shoes, Weston – the heavy soled Golf style is a favorite; I bring them immediately to Leather Spa to have new soles and heals: Their material is better than the Weston out of the box. The Aldan’s out of the box doesn’t need to be replaced -- the Leather Spa repair is better than Aldan’s repair.I first found them when another repair place made my shoes slap as I walked. David explained what the other shop couldn’t – the replacement heal was too high – Leather Spa repaired the shoe… it’s now perfect.Who can love a line of polish – there’s is not that smell petro-chemical leather shrinking junk the shine stands around the city use with allegiances.Leather Spa has great quality, great service, and great ideas.Their repairs, material and workmanship, just hold up longer.

Went in to have a pair of shoes fixed. They wrapped them in plastic as if fixed. I paid and took home. Put them on and clearly wasn’t fixed. Went in to tell them there had been a mistake. they accused me of bringing in a different pair despite the designer and model specifically written in system. I told them to view video and get back to me. They never did despite my repeated calling. I finally got in touch with manager weeks later who offered to refund the money for the shoes they never fixed! What about the time and humiliation of being told in front of an entire store that I tried to steal when they were at fault! Please go elsewhere these people are terrible human beings. Not worth it. They only got their ‘reputation’ because since the 90’s they were conveniently located next to Manolo Blanik who didn’t do adjustments or resoling and pointed people here.

Charge a premium for above average service. Sloppy execution and pricing is based on whoever is helping you that day. Paid a difference of almost $50 for the same repair on the same shoe but different half. Just picked up shoes that were resoled with the glue spilling over on the side (shinier shade of black) on both sides of shoes. And then brought in a pair of shoes that i just picked up last week that broke when walking out of my apt. Their solution was to recharge me and blame me for it. After about ten years of dealing with the leather spa, today was the final straw for me. Terrible and thankless customer service and no accountability whatsoever.

Dropped off my big luggage bag a month ago for a handle change - guy at the front desk said it would take 2 weeks to replace it. Month passed by - I was told its not ready yet. Had to go on vacation without my usual bag which is extremely inconvenient.

I just dropped a previously owned Fendi bag off for the handles of the bag to be reinforced,cleaning and the piping re-colored. The bill came to a whopping $392 which is more than what I paid for the bag. I cancelled everything but the reinforcement the total $192. I have used them in the past or various items but I find them to be extremely pricey, its ridiculous. I thought it should less than $100. I also, had to pay in advance which I dont necessarily agree with, as a cusotmer you should NOT have to pay in advance of services reindered! Im familiar with their work I did. Im pretty aggravated to say the least.

Absolutely appalling service at the Midtown Leather Spa. I took in my Prada sandals to have the velcro replaced on the strap amongst other things. I was over charged for all services, and the velcro straps were to cost $152 to replace (8 cms on each shoe), I called another Leather Spa and they quoted me $40. Very unprofessional and rude service. They dont deserve a star, but I couldnt post this without.

Ripoff place. Tried to charge me $50 for something I had done at their other location for $15. Guy was rude and uncooperative when I told him I had gotten this done before for $15. The other location was able to do it in 15 mins and this huyvsaid it would take 2-3 days. Avoid this location. The one in FiDi is much better in service and reults.

This Facility needs to be more direct and honest with their clients. Everytime i drop something off i always ask for Rush because i live in jersey and dont have time to come and go all the time. This is the 3rd time around i ask for a rush option and they CONFIRM that it will be rushed. Once coming in to pick up i always get the surprice that my things are either not ready or a RUSH option was not applied. I am completely dissapointed at the fact that they are NEVER CLEAR, specially when i specify. I hope they open one of these in jersey or they improve their service because im considering not coming back.

Great job when I added soles to the bottom of a pair of shoes that were worn out but when I asked to clean some suede boots they wanted to charge me $55. Thats a bit expensive

Awful customer service. They ruined a brand new pair of Christian Loubs when putting sole protectors on. The sole protectors have been peeling off and reglued 5 times in just six months. On my last visit, I told them twice that I needed the shoes by a certain date. The representative then lied when I went to pick up the shoes claiming I never made the request. According to these people, the customer is always wrong. They are rude, dismissive and confrontational. They dont accept responsibility when they are in the wrong.

I dont know where to begin hmmm should i start with the fact that they lost my $700 louboutins or with the fact they kept lying to me about where they were. First it was we threw the in the garbage you took too long, to theyre in our warehouse, to we don ate them to a church. BE AWARE! I brought a white handbag in to be refurbished. I was fine with spending $120. They did a terrible job the handle flakes white paint (like they used white out) all over my clothes. I brought it back to have it fixed and the same thing happended again. I took it back for a final time to ask for my money back and the manager started screaming at me in front of everyone like a complete lunatic. I am 7 months preganant and I was trying to leave and he started yanking on the handle of the bag trying to take it from me. It was an unbelievable and scarey situation.

I brought my Louboutins Daffodile in and they repainted and put the sole on them for better grip and also the red was coming off. They told me it would take about 3 weeks but it was faster than that. My Daffodiles look awesome and then I brought my Biancas in for just the sole. I went in and went out, satisfied with the service and the outcome of the job. I will def go there for all my Louboutins. :)
