(reviewing self-service) I was there around 7-9 on a weeknight. Everything works, and they do clean the machines - I saw someone clearing out all the lint traps in the dryers and wiping down the washers. Dont expect to get comfy, as there are no chairs, and the only folding table is for the staff, who will always be using it. I used a cart to fold, although I imagine thats not possible when its really busy.

If I could give 0 stars, I would.I’ve experienced what it seems like a lot of others have when it comes to being told you can’t put you’re clothes in the laundry, even though they will be open for another two hours… the washing machine only takes 27 minutes.The woman was extremely rude both nights they did this to me, even when I left work early to get there and then they said they’re closing early. So the times are inaccurate as well.Spend the extra five minutes to walk to any other laundromat.

I have been coming to New York Wash for about a month now and I love it..

I love that they wont tell you how they get the whitest whites on the island, the crew is friendly and pleasant, and though unspoken, a generous tip will get you same day service. I do 90% of my own laundry in my building, so drop-off is a splurge worth every penny.

If I had another alternative, I would definitely not patronize this establishment. I like the old neighborhood laundromat nostalgia, however the new staff is underwhelming. I was there on 1/22/21 in the evening at 6pm until 8pm. The young gentleman working there is not courteous or hospitable putting it nicely. The woman that was there working was. She is the reason for the 3 stars. I dont like leaving reviews when I have had a bad experience, unfortunately thats my laundry option and his mannerisms are underwhelming. Thank you to the female attendant and the female patron that helped the elderly woman out . Thats customer service.

I came 7 pm on Sunday and the Lady who work there did not allowed me to use washer because it’s too late and she has to clean the floor. But I could finish my laundry before 8 pm

COCKROACH -- I went to this place for the first time last week, ordered a wash and fold. My laundry came back with a cockroach in it. I went back told them what happened and they refused to pay for it to be sent back out and they refused to reimburse me. After I insisted that they do something they yelled me out of the store. Really unacceptable. Terrible, disgusting place.

I wash my clothes in their machines. I place is clean and I’ve seen them wipe down machines. I have never had an issues using the machines. They have a coin machine if you bring dollar bills to convert. The pricing is fair for the machines and there are 3 different machine sizes. The people who work here are very friendly. The space is tight, so some customers can be rude at times but the staff is pleasant.

There is no room to fold here but the staff were polite

I would give them negative stars if I could. My washer in my building double charged my card leaving me without enough money to dry my clothes. So I carried my wet clothes 6 blocks to dry them here and the woman wouldn’t let me use a dryer because I didn’t wash my clothes there. She turned away business because she wants you to spend more or nothing. Very VERY rude about it too. I offered to pay her double and she still said no. Don’t give your money to someone who cares so little about her customers.

Hated to see the more local place to me close, but was happy with this place and Ill be back. TV was tuned to a good station. A little cramped but the machines were up to date and it was clean. Attendant on duty. I guess they do drop off but I did my laundry myself.

They are very friendly, at to me. You can get your clothes back the next day if not the same day. Obviously youd have to drop them off in the morning. Other customers in the laundromat are cool and friendly. Like anyplace you drop your laundry you gotta check your socks. Not a big problem but I have lost socks there. Probably wouldve given them 4 stars if not for that. I dont buy cheap socks.

They changed their minimum charge for drop off laundry to $11, which is the LEAST CONVENIENT AMOUNT EVER. I now never have exact change. Time to find another laundry place.

Terrible! Small washing machines, the dryers barley dry your clothes. And if you walk out for a minute one of the many rude customers will take your damp clothes out before you get to add more time. Good luck finding another open one, you’ll be waiting 15 minutes to put you partly dry clothes back into another dryer.The place is so small everyone it bumping one another to get by. It felt like I was in laundry mat war!

Its so small but if you go at the right time its a nice laundromat and nice prices for washing. $3 small machine $6 big machine.

Using them for 3 years. Not one issue. Fast turn around time. Clothes are always fresh, clean, smell good, and they never lose or wreck anything!

I love this place. The staff is very friendly and provides laundry in a quick turnaround time. They will deliver, but timing seems to be off with my work schedule. This is a pretty great place for the UWS and I highly recommend adding them to your weekend errands list.

They say theyre open until 11 but not really. I was refused service after breaking my bag carrying clothes over there since it was after 9. Its a shame there arent any customer friendly laundromats in this neighborhood. Basically they could care less about customers.

True its small however youre able to maneuver which prompts dialogue and some days ya just wanna vent..... The staff is really helpful. NYW, is a decent establishment👍✌😊

AVOID I dropped off my stuff for wash and fold. when I collected it was missing half my clothes! I had to go back and go through another persons laundry myself! They did not even offer a partial refund or anything to make it right. hey even went as far as to say that it was not their fault because their employee did it.

This place sucks. I left to use restroom because they don’t have public restrooms for there customers. Come back 15 min later clothes wet and employee tells me because dryer was open. Wish I petition for zero stars. Let me preface this by saying that I only write yelp reviews when something really heinous happens to me!Im a die hard, born and raised upper west sider, and as such will go to places that suck, that are barely functional, where the staff is mean, and the product isnt even great simply because its familiar and thats just where you go (harrys shoes anyone?). That being said Ive been dropping clothes off at this laundromat since I was 8 or 9. My mom used it and now I use it, relatively infrequently on my part but in the past its been great for bedding and towels. I decided to drop my clothing off this time. 20 pounds of laundry, two weeks worth. Im a small person and thats an awful lot of clothing. Almost everything thats in heavy rotation. I returned this afternoon a mere 24 hours after dropping it, picked up my laundry and went home. Well none of the clothing was mine!I run back looking for answers, hoping any of the hundreds of dollars in clothing is still there. Well its all dispersed in different peoples bags. Some of it is under my name, some no name at all, some under a woman named Olgas (hope you got your stuff girl, doubt it though, if youre reading this lets start a support group!). The woman working there did her best, but was relatively unhelpful considering im just a panicked girl hoping her clothing gets returned. I did not receive a refund, so basically I paid $20 to lose 2 shirts and finish off the last of my valium. Please, please PLEASE do yourself a favor and listen to the reviews of this place. There are 8000 laundromats in the neighborhood, I would literally rather come to your house and do it for you then have anyone suffer through this again. Considering all they have to do is 1. make clothing clean, and 2. Not lose the clothes you trust them with, I guarantee someone is more capable of the task and deserving of your money. To add insult to injury on my way out a patron of this establishment told me to take it easy little mama which was really quite shocking. Small, unorganized and no place to sit. Their machines are outdated and because of that I had an unpleasant encounter with the lady who manages there. My clothes didnt dry because the door on the dryer must have opened on its own and my minutes had counted down. I brought this up to the lady and told her I couldnt wait any no longer since all my clothes had already been washed and dried. She told me Im sorry but I cant just reimburse you like that. After I spent over $40 there she couldnt reimburse me $1.. I kindly walked away and told her no problem, Im just never coming back here again.

I went there to dry something and I guess because I’ve been going there since it opened I didn’t read the sign about wash and dry only. The lady’s was rude even though she’s sen me before when I asked to see the manager she told me to go away. Use the laundry in the 80’s she’s the worst.

I put my clothes in the dryer and I came back from the store to find my clothes sitting in the cart very wet. A lady named Veronica told me she had to remove it. She is very unprofessional and rude.

THIEF: is the description for the woman who works in this laundry. The most disgusting experience I have ever had. I will explain what happened:Today 01/30/2019, my partner and I, who are on vacation in New York, decided to come to this laundry, a lady who spoke Spanish attends us, like us, we wash our clothes well, and we get ready to use the dryer. To say that while we were sitting waiting this woman was sweeping the floor in front of our dryer and we were sitting in the chairs in the entrance, and I noticed that she suddenly looked at us in a strange way and when she saw that I was looking at her she turned very strange, naive of me at that moment, I told my partner, the woman is looking at us, she is sure she has finished drying the clothes (later I would realize that she was looking at us for another reason). To sum up, when we finished the dryer we saw that there was € 50 inside, and we quickly realized that we had our money inside one of the jackets, what happened? € 200 fell to the ground when we transferred the clothes from the washing machine to the dryer ... we tell the woman, and she tells us that there is nothing without concern, and that there is a sign that says they are not done Responsible for the personal items in the clothes, to which we answered that if we drop money inside her premises and she realizes it, it would be normal for her to return it to us, we are clients in her business ... anyway, He refused and you could see in his face that he knew what we were talking about, he did absolutely nothing, not even looking or helping us, nothing! Just tell us that there was nothing with an impressive fake face, of course he was sweeping, he saw the money, and thats why when he looked at us strangely ... he saw us very worried, because it was the money that we had left for the rest of the trip and preferred to keep them. Thank you very much madam, I hope God pays you as you deserve! And for those who have to go to a laundry in Manhattan, surely there are honest laundries, think seriously before stepping on NY WASH LAUNDRY, THIEVES !!!
