Best barber shop in the area by far. No need to explore other places, this is it. Alex and the crew all give great cuts so you don’t have to worry about who’s there any given day. Also, during these times of covid they are very sanitary and follow every procedure to make you feel safe and comfortable.

Great cut, great place, great price. Ive been to a lot of spots for a haircut and most of the time walk away wishing it was slightly better. But not this place, I am completely satisfied and plan to return again every time Im in town.

Love this place. I have searched high and low for a barber that gives a good fade cut. Many places don’t take the time to actually give a good fade. Men’s lounge always hooks me up, and I make sure to hook them up with good tips. My only complaint are the music videos of practically naked women playing on the TV. everything else is spot on though!

Best beard trim and shave I’ve ever gotten, hands down. Alex not only listened intently to what I wanted, he gave me his own feedback and suggestions. He also gives a killer fade. Shop was recently renovated and is spotless. 10/10

I really wanted to like this place and be a regular but Im not sure if Ill ever support this business again. I got a haircut from a guy who was probably very inexperienced and looked about 20. When I tried to tell him how I wanted my hair to be proportioned, he interrupted me before I could finish my sentence by saying Im not done yet but all he was doing was buzzing my sides with a razor when I was trying to describe how I wanted to top to my cut. On top of this, the barber next to him kept looking at me and pointing at the line telling the guy that was cutting my hair to hurry up. Mind you, I was the most recent one to have sat down in the line of chairs being occupied. All the others seats were taken up by American guys and they had sat there for a good half hour. I wonder why I waited there for 20 minutes and my haircut was done in 10 minutes and it was the worst haircut I have ever gotten. The back of my head was one inch longer than the front but he combed and blowdried it so I could only see how terrible it was when I went home and took a shower. This place will treat you based on your looks. I dont know why I tipped.

Great place! Great people! Great price! Talented and skilled at their craft. Found out about Men’s Lounge when we first moved to the UES a few years back. We ended up moving more midtown, and I still have to go to the Men’s Lounge. David is the man and although he’d probably prefer reservations made (I’m terrible at timing) he finds a way to fit me in - much appreciated. Never did me wrong with a cut and also has great product. Highly recommend.

I never wrote reviews. But I just wanted to share that this place is the real deal. Alex has been shaving for 30 years and it shows. Treat your self to a haircut and shave and you will be in heaven !

This place is hands down one of the best barber shops in NYC. I had my first haircut here with A.T. about a year ago. Then I met David. I walked in one day, AT had a long wait (Which is not rare) and Davids seat had just become available and he had no one waiting (which is an extreme rare event). I sat with David and he went and gave me one of the best cuts ever. I walked out from there feeling great about how my hair looked. This is now my go to place, I recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality barber shop in the upper east side.

Wow. What a great experience. I live in Chicago and got recommended this place by a friend because I was in desperate need of a haircut. The guys at this barbershop were extremely welcoming and gave me an amazing experience. I got a great fade cut and he even trimmed my eyebrows back for me. If youre ever looking for a relaxing, easy haircut experience then come here to Mens Lounge.

I had long hair forever. Now I am a devotee of the short haircut and trimmed beard. This place is great. Always feel better and look like a member of great standing in society when I leave - even in my flip flops. Thanks gents!

David and A.T. are real pros. A.T. has been cutting my hair for years and he nails it each time. Bring my kids here, too, and he does a fantastic job on them, as well, with completely different hair and styles. Hell also clean up my beard as part of the process (full shaves available, also). The only downside is that it gets crowded during prime hours (after work/weekends) because theyre so popular.

Mens Lounge combines nice folks, a great vibe and a sound cut for a terrific value. A haircut is $25 before tip and $1 credit card fee, and includes a straight-razor shave. I was able to walk in right away at 1p on a Monday.

Barber was very thorough and gave advice on how my hair should be cut. Highest quality cut I have gotten in a long time, thank you. I will be coming back. I forget the barbers name, but he was relatively young and had long hair.

My hair is a good two inches shorter than requested. My instructions were ignored, so its another several months of growing it back.Leave it long in the back, covering the collar translated to make sure theres an inch clearance so theres no possibility t that hair will ever touch a shirt collar.

Great haircut with a classic barbershop vibe. Unbelievable value for the quality offered. I have curly hair that can be difficult for people to cut, but two barbers at this place have both done a fine job.

Tried this place out for the first time. Guy cut me pretty badly on one side behind me ear. I could see the blood at the end when he was showing me with a second mirror. Could also see a patch that he made on the other side. Looked like a patch of hair was missing. I told the guy and he tried to tell me that my hair is just like that when I can clearly see the other side is not the same. I thought Id cut my losses and leave. Icing on the cake was the man at the counter asking for a tip. I had to explain to him why I wasnt leaving a tip. I go past this place every other day and dont see the guy who cut my hair there anymore. I think he must have been the new guy. But I dont think I will give this place anther try. I had to wait for hair to grow more than normal before visiting my regular guy who is downtown.

It is the best spot in all upper Manhattan I travel all the way from Boston and wouldnt have it any other way best professional shop in town.
