I asked very specifically for him to not cut an area, showed him the exact picture of what I wanted from a previous cut and he somehow did the exact opposite and it was the first thing he cut. Not okay.

Awesome neighborhood barbershop! For years I was going to a more high end, fancy salon and stumbled upon this barbershop in my neighborhood. You rarely have to wait and when you do they have a relaxing area where you can hang out and have some bottled water. The staff is super friendly, inviting, and accommodating! They cut your hair the way you want it done and do as good of a job as any salon but at half the price! I go to Tina and she is the best! At the end of every haircut you get this amazing 2-3 minute shoulder massage thats included which caps off the haircut perfectly. A true throwback barbershop with low costs and great service!

I am from out of state and was looking for a barber shop. Found Eriks Barber shop and Im glad I did. Highly recommended. Great barbers that pay attention to detail.

The only reason this place gets any decent ratings is because of the low cost cut. Of course this seems great. That is until you see the end result of a cheap haircut. Got what I paid for, a lousy job. The guy might as well have cut my hair with a kitchen knife. I gave multiple attempts at trying to explain what I wanted but apparently he knew what I wanted better than I did! Anytime I told him what I wanted he cut me off and proceeded to cut my hair how he felt. Rude, rushed and ruined. This is my 2nd and last time going to this hell hole! No one in that spot can cut! And taking a second look at the other 3 reviews, they seem fake. That or the people must be blind...

Apparently if you wait your turn some of the barbers will still skip you if someone they know comes in. Good thing there are tons of other places around who respect people’s time.

Go to Spanish guy Nelson. Great stylist and hair cutter. I have been going to him since last year,no complaints. Does men and women haircuts.

I went here because I just moved to the area and was looking for a barber. Upon sitting down I told the woman not to touch the top, so what did she do? She took off nearly the whole top. Though her English isnt good enough she understood perfectly, what kind of barber ignores the customers request? $15 and now I have to wait 6 weeks for it to grow back.

Still go there. Unisex, cuts guys and gals hair. Just haircutting not a stylist. Great cuts.

Been going to this place for 15 years, ever since I moved to Hells Kitchen. Its an old-fashioned, no-frills mens barber shop. Dont expect any fancy extras. But the guys really know how to cut hair and shape beards, and theyll do it exactly as you ask them to. For the money, there are no better mens haircutters in NYC.

They shaved a huge bald spot on the side of my head!!!! Worst haircut I have ever had.

I gave this place 3 chances since its close and had $12 haircuts. The first was mediocre but I figured what do you want for 12 bucks in Manhattan? The second was too short, but the guy was new and was trying really hard, so I cut him a break. The third was horrible and I regret it very much. It was an older guy who looked like he knew what he was doing, but my current cut can only be classified as a hair abortion. He hardly listened when I was talking to him, then rushed through in about 7 minutes, everything is uneven, and he didnt shave my neck. AWFUL. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR APPEARANCE. Ive been to at least 4 barbers in Manhattan with no luck. Does anyone know of a decent place for less than $25?????
