I was in Manhattan on business and needed a haircut. I used Google Maps to find Cohen Barber Shop. I called for an appt and was fit right in. Izik cut my hair to perfection. He listened to my requests and cut my hair exactly how I like it. He is firm and skilled in his profession. We had great conversations too. Ask for Izik.
Ive been here lately to inquire for a haircut. The barber was very creative, knowledgeable, and respectful of clients. I enjoyed the environment so much. It smells good, clean and comfortable to visit. Besides, it was my fourth visit to this place because I loved the outcome of their haircut. Until the next time! Again, thank you very much!
In and out quickly. Isaac recognized my previous barber didn’t do a great job and helped make my hair right. Looks really good. I’ll be back again!
The barbers from this Barbershop are super kind and accommodating, I had a beard and hair trim scheduled, and I was running nearly an hour late. He still got me in and provided me with a great hair cut and a great shave. Very professional, patient, and experienced. I am looking forward to my next appointment!
Izik was my barber, I’ve lived in NYC my whole life and this was by far the best haircut ever. This kid gave me me the best fade I ever had in my life . Listen there are a lot of barbers around NYC but this is by far the best barbershop I’ve been too. I will commute from the Bronx anytime to for this type of service 5 stars isn’t even enough . Thank you izik . Angelo
Amazing attitude, with great service. Sergey (the main guy) gave me the best haircut in a long time, and it took under 30 minutes. No BS, straight to the business, plus shave, plus hot towel, plus a free drink (that was a good perk), and all of it for a very decent price! I would definitely go back, and recommend you to try this at least once! You wont regret. No appointment needed, and the wait is not long, compare to other places.
Fantastic cut barber never fails to impress me would definitely recommend !
Sergei is one of the best barbers in NYC.
Outstanding haircut and service. Probably one of the best haircuts I have had in my life. I was able to get in and out quick. The razor shave on the neck was a great way to finish off a great cut. I also loved how the barber asked several times what I wanted, confirmed it, and even explained how it would look before he started.
This place is quality. They have the expertise to give you the cut you want, and they take the time to make sure it looks as good as possible. Detailed work, awesome staff, fun atmosphere. Ill be returning soon.$25 shadow fade. Noah was my barber.
Came to NY and decided to get an experience at a real barbershop. This place is awesome! The spot was a bit busy, but I was offered a free beer upon arrival. Very friendly atmosphere, they have Frank Sinatra songs and the place is extremely clean. I loved the haircut they did for me, got so many compliments from my friends and family. Strongly recommend this spot!
Professional and well maintained business, I experience Great service and resived Awesome hair cut .
What can I say: fantastic hair cut and shave. One of the best services I’ve had in a barber shop. There was light hearted humour. I googled a few places in town and this one seemed the best option; I chose well. Thank you
Best haircuts in NYC
I read the reviews online and thought I might get a decent cut before work but the haircut was terrible. I showed the older guy with gray hair a picture of a blended skin fade and I told him not to make the fade too high. This was probably one of the worst haircuts I’ve gotten cause the fade was sloppy and my hair is sticking out towards the sides where he was supposed to blend it. He even shushed me while I was trying to tell him something about how I wanted it. Not sure how the other barbers are but I definitely won’t be coming back to find out.
Wow you guys are absolutely awful. As someone who travels quite a lot, I’ve had haircuts from many incredible barbers and of course some pretty bad barbers along the way.You guys I’ve got to say, take it to another level in how poor you do your haircuts. The level of dedication you have in giving such bad haircuts is incredible. Simple fade haircuts, I’ve never come across such a lazy barber before who cannot even be bothered to do a fade and will cut straight up into the crown. When that happens, you know that’s not good, that’s beyond awful.I mean come on, your supposed to be professionals. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that by cutting into the crown, the chunk of hair your going to leave missing from the customer. What’s even more stunning is your ability to hide bad haircuts I’ve got to give it to you there. Some stunning work with the hair product to cover your unprofessional cuts and sheer laziness. It not only leaves the customer thinking they’ve got an alright haircut only to return home and see what you’ve done. You guys are simply no match for the competition in how bad you do your haircuts. This was all from simply watching you in how you guys do your cuts on fellow customers. Reluctantly, I thought I’d take the chair with another one of your esteemed barbers to see how mine would go. Low and behold, it’s a similar story. Not as bad as the customers I witnessed you single handedly demolish their hair and that was only down to me telling the barber constantly to stop going so high up with the cut on the side. He clearly did not have a clue how to perform a blend either and so was looking to do the same and go high up to the crown with the cut. Following that, the amount of length you take off from the top, despite saying a little is far from it, especially the back part of the hair you take so much off it’s too late to have even said anything. I don’t expect to have to constantly teach a barber how to cut hair during my own hair cut.I was far from impressed with the way you guys handled your cuts and as much as you have a laugh with the customers, you don’t pay enough attention to the haircut. I would advise focusing on the haircut for those unable to multitask. I also suggest all your barbers take courses in learning how to blend and fades. Your going to lose more and more customers when you start with a square shaped sized haircut and finish with peanut shaped sized haircut at the back. It’s not good I don’t know what more advice I can give you guys. By not knowing how to perform such simple cuts, your barbers are resorting to laziness and it’s resulting in your customers including myself, finishing their haircut with a poor blend, chunks of hair completely razored away and even the shape of back changing.Your in a wonderful location with so much footfall. Don’t be lazy, don’t be unprofessional and take some courses so you can learn how to master techniques in levelling up in what you do.
Great guys who know how to cut hair well and without a fuss. Old-school feel with hot towels and straight razors. Was in town on business and needed a cut- they did a better job than my regular barber!
The guy who gave me the cut was amazing. Best haircut I’ve had in my life and that’s no exaggeration! He paid very careful attention to every detail and by the time I left I felt like a million bucks.
The barbers here do the job like theyre painting the Mona Lisa. Even when its an in between haircuts tune-up.Cohen Barbershop in general is very clean, classy and comfortable. Everyone is extremely nice. You cant go wrong with the Royal shave and mens full haircut. I have to stop in every time Im in Times Square to get the full treatment.
Izik is the best barber I’ve ever had. I promise you all will be happy with the way he cuts hair!!! Very professional and comfortable atmosphere!!
Had a great experience getting a haircut from Sergio. Highly recommend this place for a high quality haircut for a good price.
Izik is the best barber if you want a very good haircut, this is the guy he’ll hook you up.
Amazing barbershop: they just did a renovation there and now it is super modern. Very friendly and experienced barbers. + Free drinks are available for their customers! Love this place! :)
The best haircut the best place in the City Izik is the man
Good service, the staff is awesome I recommend this place a 100%
Terrible haircut!! If you’re looking for a low quality and highly expensive haircut, you’ve found the place! On price: For a back and sides the charge is $30.00!! (No trim off the top) And yet the day before the price quoted was $20.00?! They saw we we’re tourists and suddenly increased the prices, really unethical and unprofessional behaviour. On quality: The barbers don’t use scissors to blend/fade your sides which makes the finish look absolutely terrible combined with the fact they take the sides far to high up.Overall rating 0/10!
I was on holiday in NYC and in desperate need of a cut, I randomly walked into this one and it was the best cut I have ever had in my life. The older Russian man, hes got awesome skills. I wish I didnt live in Australia as I want him to always cut my hair
Came for an undercut & design and LOVED this place a lot! Grear service, awesome atmosphere, and I am getting so many compliments from my friends!!! Definetely recommend and will be back 100%.
One of the best barbershops in New York. Ask for Isaac!
Barber Izik is great barber and funny. He is doing amazing job!! Fully recomending this barber shop!!! 😊
DOPEST BARBERSHOP IN NEW YORK! Sergio & Itzik are so awesome: professional, outgoing, quick... Dope music, lots of magazines & Netflix to kill your time while waiting, oh and don’t forget about free drinks (soda, beer, vodka). Highly recommend! 🙌😎💪
Consistent and clean. Fast and efficient. Great cuts, professionals and welcoming. Waiting is a thing I dont do often. Accepts cards and always open to new things. A goto shop, dont judge from the outside.
7 years and always high quality for low price.
What a great experience coming in from Australia and receiving such professional and friendly service. And BTW, my daughter (also a barber) approved and applauded the attention to detail.Thank you Sergio.
Best barber in NYC! Professional, quick, reasonable prices, cool barbers!
Isaac is New York finest fader!! Great haircut, hidden gem!!
Went here regularly until I felt the last time no effort was out into my haircut (didnt even get the neck shave). Went to another barber in 9th avenue which was cheaper and received much friendlier service
I came for the much better barber shop next door at 136 West 46th. They were closed. I settled for this place and regret it. Too expensive for a simple trim. Never going back.
Funniest bugger youll ever meet.... Been everywhere, seen everything.... Best haircut experience ever.... 😁
Great place and great haircuts! Very precise, hot towels, and free beer!

Amazing haircut and hot towel shave
Some barber is bad in the shop
Great cuts
Great service
AVOID THIS PLACE! I thought I found a cheap place but I got what I paid for. Haircut was sloppy and uneven. Never going back.
Best
Very friendly environment, Frank is a very talented barber that knows what he is doing . They treat everyone that enters their shop with great respect and above all very professional.
The cut is good BUT really the service leaves something to be desired.Having seen that they were tourists, they billed us for the most expensive services without notifying us or even asking for our agreement before. You end up paying an average cut for the highest price. In short, they saw tourists and they saw easy money.I have known much more gifted barbers who did not ask for half their price or who at least warned people about billing for their service instead of putting the client on the record.Suddenly very disappointed. If you are tourists or passing through, find out before you get cut.
Nice hairdresser next to Times Square. Owned by an American Jew who employs Israeli books. Fair price, good professionalism.
Very good place.Great attitudeItzik is not in you in the worldToday I realized what it is to get a haircut really
