Emmanuel and the Barbarossa team are undoubtedly the best in the Upper East Side. Sitting with a very nice second-story view of Lexington, they are THE professionals and know exactly what you are looking for style-wise regardless of your age. Im a young customer in his twenties of three+ years and would recommend to anyone new to the area. Choosing a new barber can be a tough decision especially when you are unfamiliar to the area. These guys will make that the easiest decision of your day.

A great haircut on the Upper East Side. I have followed Emmanuel around for the last 20 years and never fail to get a great haircut and quality service. It is appropriately priced and an enjoyable experience all around. You cant go wrong here.

Fantastic experience. I have very thick blond hair that many barbers have trouble dealing with. David approached it masterfully and I walked out with the best cut I’ve had in years, if not ever. Quick, efficient, accurate, elegant and never rushed. Will be returning and recommending to friends. Real masterful scissor work! So many younger barbers are used to only tight buzzed styles and as soon as a real head of hair comes in, they are lost at sea. Shampoo wash complimentary, espresso offered, and free shoe shine included too! Everyone is super friendly, funny and inviting. Highly recommended!

This is an excellent barbershop. These guys are all really talented barbers. The shop has an excellent balance between the classic and the modern, and there is great service—they’ll even give you free coffee while you get your haircut. Above all they seem really proud of the shop, and that speaks volumes. Every guy on the UES should get his haircut here.

Barbarossa is a wonderful upper east side barbershop with a great balance of new modern quality and classic style. Its an absolute fixtures for UES professionals of all ages, but is very friendly as well. Barbarossas barbers are extremely friendly and have many years of experience in their craft. They really bring a personal touch to their business. I highly recommend it. Appointments prior are encouraged (but not explicitly required).

Ive been going to see David for haircuts for almost five years now, and its always been a pleasure. He is a fantastic barber, always does precisely what I ask for, and can often squeeze me in for a last-minute appointment. The new barbershop is located just a few blocks up the street from the old one, and is a beautiful bright, modern space, and I am already looking forward to going back.
