This is one of the best places ive ever been to! My hair was an overgrown and under kept mess, I gave them a call and told them I needed an apointment as soon as possible because I had to show a house to some clients of mine ( im a realestate agent on longisland). I stoped by and got my hair cut by sammy a very kind and energetic young gentleman... when I say the barbers here are good I really mean it, they are all truly masters in their craft and I walked out feeling like a new man. They have gained a customer for the years to come 10/10 go there and ask for sammy hes young and passionate about what he does.

Excellent barber shop tucked in on the upper east side. Have been going here for years and always a great cut. Beautiful modern setting and Ray (one of the owners) is a true professional and gentleman. Also use and stock Aveda products. Check out the excellent local artwork too while there. Quality Barbers is a great place. Hands down one of the best experiences Ive had getting my hair cut. Its a cozy place that has a very high class feel but with a beautiful heart. My appointment was with Rudy who was top notch. Very professional haircut with great attention to detail. The best part of the cut was the hair washing afterward. No itchy feeling or hair stuck in my shirt when I left. A brilliant touch. This just became my new regular place!

Ray at Quality Barbers has been cutting my hair monthly for over a year. Ray is very detail oriented and very much cares about the quality of his work. I get a great haircut every time. I used to go to $20 haircut places before, but would not go back as long as Quality Barbers is an option.

Daniel saved not my life (literally) - but at least my head. After my long year hearcutter/dresser retired, i tried another one in the near - but the result was more an accident. Even with many others before i had near to no luck, because i have a whirl and standard work seems not to work well there. Weeks later i looked for professionals, and tried quality barbers first time to try a repair and i was impressed by the professional result. As the shop was new for me, i selected „choose available“ and got Daniel assigned.Daniel taked enough time and after the cut they washed my hair + dried it to cut it to the end and styled it - so the result works not only until next hair wash/shower. no hidden costs. absolute recommendation! will come back.

I’ve been coming to QB for more than 5 years (mostly to Ray) and the experience has always been fantastic. I have thick wavey/curly hair that becomes a real mess in NYC humidity, but Ray cuts it so well that its super manageable so I don’t have to spent 20min every morning fighting with it. I’ve gone to other barbers since (moved away for a little while) and no matter the price point it just isnt the same. If you want a great cut, at a professional place (no long waits, clean, respectful) this is the place for you.

I have been getting my haircuts from Ray for more than three years now. I have really thick and stubborn hair and I dont think any barber has been able to tame it as well as this guy has! Professional barber, satisfied customer, and a haircut that gets the girlfriends approval. Thats the ultimate quality check right there.

I can appreciate when a place is owned and managed properly. Management at Quality Barbers takes customer service very seriously and it shows. I had one small issue and they immediately addressed the issue and made sure that it was corrected. I would recommend them for someone looking for that higher end UES haircut.

He did not listen to what I wanted and seemed flustered. Not something you want in a barber. I was very unhappy with the haircut, but at the end of the day it is just hair and it will grow out. My third cut with Ray is coming up this week, and I must say, each time I am extremely satisfied with his work and the quality. I used to think I could get away with a cheaper cut, but it left my hair misshapen. Ray pointed out the changes he was making during our first meeting, and now Ive never been happier and I always look forward to walking out looking fresh.

Super haircuts, Masha is great. Shes very skilled and has a great eye for what looks good. I was lucky to get her as a walk-in and scheduled all my future appointments with her until I moved out of the city.

I’ve been coming here for 6 years now, ever since Quality Barbers opened up. I have had nothing short of an amazing experience every time. Ray is a master at his craft and good people too. Even moving 3 separate times all around New York and being over an hour away, I still make the trip to Qualtiy Barbers. Any negative reviews you read about pricing being too high because their barber shop closed across the street isn’t really a review on Quality Barbers itself and more so frustration about how much they want to spend on their haircut. The prices are clear, if one does not want to spend more than 12 dollars on a haircut, simply don’t. Though don’t take your frustration out on a family business that has kept me and hundreds of other customers completely satisfied and happy over many years. I can not recommend enough Quality Barbers for your next haircut. 5 of 5 stars and my biggest thanks to Ray and his brother Renat for operating a great business and keep me and the many customers completely satisfied. Ive lived on the UES for almost my whole life and have been going here for a couple of years now.One of the best haircuts I have had in the city and everyone there is great. Its extremely easy to make an appointment - you either use their website or call up. Most importantly, it is really refreshing, especially in NYC, to walk into a place and for them to remember your name. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know.

For $30 (+tip), these barbers really take care of you. Expect about an hours worth of treatment, including a wash and shampoo. They are very approachable, not overly friendly, and open to questions. Ive become a regular customer!

Put simply, the best barber Ive experienced in New York. I dont have difficult hair, but the problem Ive traditionally had with barbers is a lack of consistency - requesting the same haircut month-on-month from the same barber has yielded different (sometimes horrific) results. But Renats consultation and meticulous attention to detail has never left me disappointed, quality products and a great space to boot - be sure to check out Renats own art throughout.

On more than one occasion I have called for an appointment and bluntly been told to use the website and not been able to book. Whats the point of forcing your clients to a website you know is poorly designed and not updated with current staff and accurate availability? You have a nice place but its unfortunate that youve lost touch with the importance of client relationship and have made your booking experience unnecessarily complicated and completely de-personalized.EDIT For response: In fact I dont like phone tag, I like to call once or login once and make a booking once. Do you understand what phone tag is? I guess not.You may be very clever but your webpage is not and in fact you said so yourself upon my last visit... making improvements I believe you said?! Your website is at least a day behind staffing, so I will try to find barber X and make an online appointment to find they are not on the website, but in fact they are in the shop and available. This happened more than once and this is why I prefer to call. Is that so bad?Your response to my post just illustrates the point that you are very defensive and unwilling to listen to your customers!! Youre trying to spin my constructive criticism into some type of celebrity endorsement from Anthony Bourdain and a definition on quality... give me a break! Your barbers stand out front of the shop smoking cigarettes... is that how they show their total focus on quality?
