DO NOT GO TO MIKE. Before he even started he gave me a pick and told me to comb my own hair. I Asked for a drop fade and showed him a picture and he shaved most of my hair off and rushed the hair cut this was probably the worst and fastest hair cut Ive ever gotten. I was wearing my mask while he was cutting my hair and he cut one of the ear straps on my mask. Also when I asked him how much the hair cut was he said 30 dollars even though it says 25 online.

I was visiting New York from Baltimore with a friend and was unable to get my haircut the day prior to arriving. My barber was unavailable so I Thought I was just rough it out at first but then after seeing some pictures that I have take and I definitely wanted a haircut.I stopped in and Twin cut me and it took all of 30 minutes. Love the haircut and will definitely be back again next time I’m in the city.

Dont get the barber with the dreads. Had an attitude the whole time while manhandling my neck and cheese grating my face. Awful experience. That on top of ruining my mustache and not providing the haircut described. Never again. Does this look like a flat top with wide sideburns? Lines aren’t even even. Have a photoshoot in a week and I’m devastated.

Cool Barbershop near the heart of Times Square, and conveniently located across the street from Port Authority. Get a nice haircut and shave and commute to your destination. Barber Joey gave me a fresh taper & beard trim. Took his time & his attention to detail was on point. My now go to barbershop before, I go upstate NY.

I have lived in this area for about 8 years and must have past these guys 1000 times (literally). While I definitely stood out a bit and wasnt sure what I was in for, everyone made me feel right at home. I have longer hair and was bit concerned it being a Barber Shop and all but this guy knew his way with the sheers... Great cut at a reasonable price!

The worse experience with a barber who was not attentive and didnt listen to a word I said. He never gave me back my change after I gave him $40 for a $30 haircut- I wanted to give a $5 tip which would equal $35. Instead of giving me a $5 dollar change, he gave me back nothing. He got distracted with another barber interrupting our conversation. He thought he could trick me. He probably does this behavior to many customers who probably dont come back because of his immature stealing behavior.

Visiting NYC and staying down the street from here. Needed a quick fresh cut and went on in. Got a barber within seconds, forgot his name but Ninja was on his mirror. Way better of a fade than my usual barber back in Toronto. Welcoming vibe in here and seems like a no bs barber shop.

Although he was nice, was my most disappointing haircut. I showed the barber a picture of how I wanted the back to be cut so I could have it curled since barbers are SUPPOSED TO BE good at fading. He butchered my hair so all I can do is brush it down flat... Its hair, itll grow back.

First time @ Diamond Cuts. Im an older soul brother in my 60s living downtown with shops that only have Caucasian barbers. Thats a major problem for me. Did a Google search for Black American barbershop & found Diamond Cuts. Once there, I asked who is the most experienced licensed barber & who is the owner, but could not get a response. A brother in my age range approached me & showed me some of his work of different styles of cuts proving he has the talent to give a person any hair cut that they desire. His name is Chicago & he shaped my hair just as I explained I wanted. He has the skills to satisfy anyone, because I have always been a picky person. I locked him in my phone as my permanent barber. If you check him, you will lock him in as well.

Needed a cut for an event and didnt have time to head back home. Mike just gave me one of the best cuts in my life. Of course I was skeptical of a barber in time square but this place is legit. Awful experience. I went in for a quick buzz cut with my friends and even though I was second in line I was the last one finished. The barber ended up cutting my head when doing my hairline and when I asked for a refund or discount he became quite hostile. Not a place I could honestly recommend to anyone. I guess the wait was short for a reason.

The worse experience ever. Dont ever get a cut by Mel. Its like hes a beginner or a non licensed rookie. Not only did he take forever, but he was rude and had bad body odor. He cut my hair... but he also cut skin in several different spots. Not a comforting environment at all. I do NOT recommend this place.Aug.21.2016

Horrible. Got my haircut with Chicago and he does not listen to what you have to say. He cuts your hair how he wants it. Specifically told him keep it long and he basically buzzed cut the whole thing saying it flows, but it doesnt. The man didnt use scissors once. And then he used his buzzer to shave my face, not sure what prompted him to do so, but it left my entire face irritated. Id rather never cut my hair than go back to him. Suggestion, if you are to get your haircut with him, have him face you to the mirror the entire time so you can see exactly what hes doing. I guess this negative experience is partly my fault because he was trying to grab customers off 8th ave and I really needed a haircut. Fade wasnt terrible, just cut my hair exactly how I didnt want it.

The barbers don’t have a license and buzzed all my hair off so it was the same length all over my head. very unprofessional, messy, other “barbers” screaming profanities in the next chair over. at one point the “barber” next to me sprayed alcohol in the fellow’s eye in the next chair over. the “barbers” are out on eighth ave trying to force clients to come in and now i understand why. it was nasty in there. please DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
