My friend recommended me to come here after I complimented on how nice her haircut looked. Came here today as a walk in for a trim and reshaping of my Bob haircut. I was nervous but my hair stylist, Bony, did a great job in cutting my hair. He listened to what I wanted and overall, it came out great! It was the fastest haircut I’ve had but it looks good! If I went somewhere else, I’d probably pay $50-$70 for a trim. You can’t beat this price and the quality! I think I waited 45 min as a walk in on a Sunday. They spray water on your hair to make it semi wet for the cut so no full wash. Make sure to bring cash for tip (they take card for the cut). Bringing a picture of the haircut you want helps.

Got my haircut here today from Akko. Was passing by and saw QB Tokyo House. For 25 bucks got a much needed nice haircut during pandemic. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to get a good cut without the bells and whistles of wash and dry.

I come here for my haircut because I have typical Asian texture hair. Its quick, easy, and really good value. They dont do the full wash and blow out but quick dry cut. I get a simple cut (usually 5-8 inches off) with layers and a face frame. For $25 with tip, its really great and beats going to China town for a similar price range but has the quality of higher end salons. Just be sure to put your name down and pay attention to the waiting time. Sometimes when busy, there can be a bit of a wait.

The best haircut I’ve ever gotten. Hands down. Not to mention considerably less expensive than any other hair salon in Manhattan despite being considerably higher quality.Highly recommend- especially if you’re like me and you’ve long struggled to find a barbershop that actually gives you a haircut you love.

Amazing amazing amazing!!! I’m shocked and very satisfied with my new haircut. Trust me, their service worth your every single penny. Getting a speedy haircut by professional barbers for only $25 in NYC under 20min is a boom! Definitely check this place out you won’t be disappointed!! Btw: they cannot add the tips to your credit card so better bring some cash.

Absolutely amazing! I was hesitant to go here because I thought it was maybe more for men but decided I just needed to get some of this pandemic hair cut and WOW they definitely know how to cut womens hair! I got bangs and usually when I get bangs it looks funny for a few days but the guy who cut my hair did PERFECT! And im usually pretty picky about getting my hair cut! Bangs, layers and a couple inches off for only $25 and super quick! I dont think ill ever go anywhere else again!

Day 1. Terrible. I went with my wife and son. I had the usual reliable good and clean haircut. Meanwhile my son and wife were serviced both by another older stylist who made a job so bad that is even difficult to describe: uneven length, holes, forgotten parts not even touched. No kidding, you cant do worse even if you cut them yourself with a nail clipper. Embarrassing.Day 2. Went back to ask if it was possible to get a fix. The two stylists from Monday very professionally took care of the mistakes and turned the very poor jobs from the day before into Hollywood-level haircuts. They did not ask any money for their work, although they really went above and beyond. We will definitely go back.

I have been going to QB House at Columbus Circle since it opened and have always been happy with the quality and value of their haircuts. Today my experiencet was exceptional. It had been nearly a year since my hair was cut, since I was due for a haircut at the start of the pandemic. My hair was so long that I wanted to donate it to a charity for children with hair loss. Hiro took extra time to explain the process to me and to be sure that I would be happy with the result. He was fun to work with, kind and respectful, and very skilled at his work. It was a great way to start the week and I am very happy with my new haircut! Highly recommend.

I have been wanting to get rid of split ends of my hair for few months but wasnt willing to pay $50 for a simple haircut. I was going to wait until I want to dye my hair so I can do the them together. However, today I saw a sign that QB house opened up!! For people who might not know QB (=quick barber) House is very popular in Japan/asia and is know for cheap and fast haircuts. I was curious if it still kept its concept and is still cheap in New York.I am really glad I went. You cannot get this quality haircut for this price anywhere else in NY. Here, cheap doesnt mean they do whatever with your hair. My barber asked me specifically what I want and made sure he had a quality result. He also checked with me several times if the length and style were okay. Honestly, I think its service and result are better than anywhere else I have been to in NY. For people who are curious about pricing, I got an inch trim at the bottom of my hair WITH layering AND a bang for $23+tip.I dont usually write a long review but this place deserves one, because its that good. I am definitely going back and bringing my boyfriend next time!!! :D

It was just a bad experience. I used to come here pre-covid and it was all fine and swell, I came here today for a simple haircut, but the stylist was not professional nor welcoming. When shaving the sides, they used excessive force with the trimmer and it hurt my ears. When trimming the top, they didnt have a good aesthetic sense to make the general style tidy. Will not come again.

I understand their main goal is “efficiency,” but to start cleanup before asking the customer whether they’re satisfied with the cut is UNACCEPTABLE. Neither did my hairdresser offered to show the back before I asked. They are trained, no doubt, but far below the experience I had in Tokyo’s.$20 in cash or card. Then at the cashier there’s sign saying “please tip in CASH”.If you want a bargained price with detailed service, go to Chinatown. Lots of places offer $10-15 haircut.

I have been checking this place out as I walk by since it opened. I decided to give it a try because I am sick of spending close to a hundred dollars for a mens cut. I have very straight thin hair that is on the difficult side to cut. I went at about 10 a.m. and got taken without any wait . After a quick consult, I had a great cut in about 15 minutes. Great experience. For 20 cut and 5 tip its worth the shot.

QB House Tokyo was recommended to me by a friend when I was looking for somewhere affordable to get my hair cut by someone who knows how to cut and style Asian hair. You definitely cant beat $20 for a cut (no wash/shampoo) but I worried about the quality Id get. Much to my pleasure, my stylist did a great job and I (and all my friends) love the hair cut that I got!The only snag was the fact that I needed to make sure at least 8 inches was cut because I was donating my hair, and they apparently did not have a ruler or tape measure anywhere in the shop. My stylist ended up needing to estimate and overestimate to be on the safe side. It ended up being closer to 12 inches, I think, but my hair was so long that I didnt find it to be that big a deal. The shop looks super clean, and the stylists are very friendly and listen to what you are looking for with your cut. I was a bit worried when there were only men in there having their hair cut when I walked in, but they had pictures up suggesting they cut womens hair, too. Also, shortly after I sat down to wait, another woman came in to get her hair cut as well. (She also seemed happy with her cut.)They have a cool system to indicate how busy they are and how long you should expect to wait, using stop light colors. I dont remember the exact numbers, but green means you shouldnt need to wait for much at all, yellow means itll be a short wait, and red means you might have to wait a bit.Ill definitely come back here (or one of their other locations) if I need my hair cut again.

Quick, clean, professional, convenient and super affordable. The staff are highly trained and skilled and happy to listen to your needs. Usually they are Japanese as in Japan they are highly trained professionals (many years and every day of training). No washing or colouring. Kids ok (need to sit patiently), same price. Buggy and I assume wheelchair Accessible door (store is underground, use the lift/elevator down one floor, same as the subway). The cut is $20, and usually people leave over $10-15 or more for tip. Because to get the same hair cut, you would be paying much much more. People who care about their hair and the money in their pockets know! Very clean and organized store. Due to the style of the store, the cut is usually 15min so dont expect or ask for anything too long.

Its stated at the door and Google Maps that shop closed at 8pm. I walked in at 7:30pm. A guy cutting hair said they were closed. I asked what the cutoff time was (so I could try next time) but got no response. Another female staff member walked towards me to tell me the shop was closed. I asked her what the cutoff time was, but she didnt seem to understand and just kept telling me that the shop was closed. Finally a waiting customer told me the cutoff time was 6:30pm (?!). Well I guess I dont mean to have my haircut there.UPDATE: Finally got a haircut here and I was not impressed. The wait was long (almost an hour) and the stylist could not replicate a simple haircut from a photo. $20 may seem like a steal for a haircut, but consider that you could pay a little extra in those Chinatown places for a not-too-bad haircut, its just not worth it.

If you want have a good haircut with more details, don’t go there. They just cut hair very fast and speed is their business. If you want a very shot hair style, probably will be Ok.I just had a haircut like after dog mouth biting. They don’t have water wash service so that you won’t be able to know that until after take shower. You will be realize your left and right side are not the same length. They are doing some things that are looks very Japanese style and professional. But if you want to get a good cut. I recommend you to go somewhere else.

Normally, Id say the cut was ok. And for a $20 in manhattan, its awesome. But I probably wouldnt come back because I was actually kind of dissatisfied with the cut and all the hair splinters left on me and my clothes afterwards. Not that I dont expect hair splinters, but I thought the vacuum would do more than it did. My hair dresser was also in a rush it seemed, as we miscommunicated regarding the length and I wanted an even shorter cut than she originally gave me. So understandably, she wasnt as detail oriented the second time and missed a 2inch patch of hair on my side.I think this chain is awesome and worth a visit, but you should be prepared for the risk of miscommunication, even if you had a picture to show exactly what you mean.

QB house was decent for a quick cut with no frills. You need to know what to expect though. There is no shampoo or hair wash. Instead, you hair is cut and afterwards, you get brushed off as well as vacuumed. I would say that this is great when you already have the sure you want and just need maintenance. There are a few minor adjustments to the cut Ill be sure to call out next time but all in all, Im convinced to give it another go.Its possible you can go in for a complete change up but it doesnt seem as catered towards that. Someone else will have to review a complete change in look.
