Got my haircut from Kevin from the East Village location. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable, nice, and asked so many great questions to help me get the haircut I wanted. Bald fade was probably the best Ive received since moving to NYC. Its a little more pricey compared to other barbers in the area, but I can tell you now that its worth EVERY penny. I will definitely be coming back.

My husband chose this barbershop for he knew that all the barbers are experts in doing the haircut. The straight razor shave is the facial for manly men. The experience is definitely awesome. Theres nothing like a hot towel on your face or the manly fragrance of shaving cream to sap the stress right out of your body. Best barbershop ever!

I tried quite a few barbers in the city before settling on Best Barber -- their professionalism and attention to detail set them apart from many of the other shops. The price point is on the higher side but in my opinion, well worth the difference. Strongly reccomend.

I have been going to Best Barber on Avenue B for almost 2 years after bouncing around barbers and stylists in Manhattan for quite a while. For the 2 years I have been going to Best Barber, Ive consistently gone to Ryan every 4 weeks and every single cut was clean, sharp, and on point. Ryan makes the visit chill, fun, and relaxing. Additionally, he really worked with my ideas to bring my cut to life.Im leaving the city (for now) to move abroad and one of the biggest bummers about it is that I know I wont be able to find another Ryan/ Best Barber.

Ryan is one the most phenomenal hairdressers ever! I always get the best cuts from him, and based on my recommendations my boyfriend is now a regular too. He is extremely precise, has a clear idea of what looks good on your face, consistently does an overall very elevated haircut and gets creative with your hair if you’re comfortable with it. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Best Barber in Hell’s Kitchen for many years now and always got a good haircut in a congenial, stylish, but unpretentious atmosphere. Boswell is a welcoming host, always.But now I have discovered Ryan at the Avenue B location and, honestly, he’s given me the best haircut that I have EVER had. He gave me the exact haircut I asked for, but particularly designed for my difficult hair. And it grew in better than any haircut I’ve experienced; it was handsome and flattering at every stage, between haircuts. I just got my second perfect haircut with him and will be back for many more! And he’s a funny sweetheart. Go see Ryan!

I jumped around from a couple different barber shops when I first moved to New York before eventually settling down at BB in Hells Kitchen. Greg is an absolute legend at that location, however, the new East Village location is more convenient. Boswell has been my go-to in EV, and like Greg, he is very consistent with his cuts and takes pride in his work. These guys arent about getting as many people through the door as possible, theyre more focused on sending people out the door with more confidence. For the reasons listed above, you have to be willing to pay a premium for your haircut (its worth every dollar).

I love this place. Used to go regularly to the Hells Kitchen location, and loved that too. But this location is even more convenient. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, and the cuts from Boswell are perfect. What more can you ask?

I have never been treated with such professionalism at a barber shop. Not only did the owner greet me with a smile immediately when I walked in, he took my jacket and then offered me a drink! (or tea, coffee, etc. if you prefer) Ryan is a talented and attentive barber. He really takes his time to make sure You are happy. As someone who is VERY particular about his hair, I can assure you that will be in great hands. I will continue to see Ryan. I received loads of compliments following both my haircuts with him: This place is a hidden gem and has great style with a talented, non-pretentious staff. I got my hair cut by Boswell and left thinking it looked really sharp. Then I went to my usual hangouts and EVERYBODY (ladies too 😉) gave me compliments and asked where I just got my hair cut. He cuts your fade so sharp you cant help but look like a rockstar. Anyways, he was super cool and Ill definitely see them next month.

I may have found the BEST barber in the city! Coincidentally, the barber shop also happens to be called Best Barber. From the moment you walk into their clean, modern and inviting space by their friendly front of the house staff, and get offered a beverage, to their attentive and professional barbers who listen and follow through, to their sage hot towels and best (Malin+Goetz) products they use... to again more sage hot towels on your head and face. After close to 10 hair/beard trims I got from RYAN, I fall asleep in his chair now on a regular basis. Mainly, because I feel super comfortable knowing that my head is in the right hands plus the energy of the shop is really relaxing.Its as rewarding as having the best dentist you trust.

I love the style of Cortes that is especially that of elisa. It has a lot of technique and is delicate since my skin is super delicate and she super handle it. I recommend it 100% look for elisa !!
