Very bad experience. Went for a $30 haircut today. The barber was in a hurry. His attention might have been in the other customers waiting in queue and phone calls being received. He was so casual and has never shown focus on my haircut. I was left with poor hair style...😡

The place is good but my barber was in rush. He gave me probably 10 minutes to cut my hair and the adjacent barber was still cutting hair of the customer before I was even started. He was in some rush, maybe to cut the hair of other people waiting but I just felt it was unprofessional. He took off the veil and asked me how is it. I wanted him to cut my hair more on the top because it was still fringy but he had already taken off the veil and I just let it be.

Just moved into the area and was looking for a new barber. Couldn’t get more convenient than Gotham. Not too busy when I went in on a Monday afternoon and was out fairly quick. Tim (I think his name was, as it was on the mirror) was quick but didn’t make me feel rushed as some barbers have. Definitely will be back.

I was so frustrated that I just have to agree with the haircut so I can get out of there.

Just received my first ever hot towel shave. I was unsure where to go but after seeing great reviews online I decided to give Gotham City a shot. I walked in and the first chair to free up, after less then a 5min wait, was Isaac’s and boy was I lucky. I was a little nervous going in but his confidence quickly put me at ease. I was so happy with the shave and trimming of my goatee, that after, I also asked for a haircut which did not disappointed. All in all a great experience and I will definitely be back again!

I’ve been going here since my husband found this spot, and found Jay. First of all, I love a spot where folks are kind and competent at what they do. Jay is hand down a true professional. In addition to him paying attention to details, he has a kind spirit that is evident from the moment you meet him. The hot towel shaves are not to be missed. And while Jay is my number one go to, Hugo is a solid barber as well. He has cut my hair a couple times too. Definitely go check this place out.

My husband got a poor haircut and came back with razor burn all over his neck. I gave him a better haircut myself. Wait was also very long.

Always a great experience at Gotham. Kenny is wizard, he never disappoints. Turnaround is lighting fast, and with two locations right around the corner from each other you’ve got a great selection of Barbers to find your guy.Just remember to bring some cash for tips. If you’re stranded and need a cut, they have an ATM in the building.

The barber gave me what I asked for with precision. I got a haircut for $30. I didnt ask for it but the guy shaved my neck and finished it off with a hot towel. All well worth the price. I do wish theyd put prices on their website but it was well worth what I did pay.

2 locations 456 & 336. I use to do their at the 336 it was cheap and people were nice. I was able to pay and til by card. Haircut for 25$ for a great service... But few days ago, price went up and tips were cash only! The manager was not smiling at all, this was a terrible experience.

I used to come here before the pandemic caus ei worked a block away, I went in here today to see if I can get a cut from the guy I used to go to here, the two men who were there said he moved, so I stood there waiting to see who would offered a cut to me, and neither men did, one was flicking channels on the TV and the other just got back on his phone both men paid no attention to what I came in there for. Very disappointing.

Just stepped off the train at Penn Station and needed a haircut. Found this place on 57th. No appointment needed, just walk-in. Great staff. I totally recommend the hot towel shave. If youre in a hurry, the electric shaver will have to do. But if you have time, get the hot towel shave

This is a great barber shop near Columbus circle. Specifically, go in and ask for Kenny! The man knows what he’s doing and he’ll make sure you walk out happy with your fresh haircut. I’ve been coming here for a little less than a year and couldn’t recommend a better place in the area.

I was Gotham city barber shop! Had this super cool guy from Uzbekistan by the name of Louis cut my hair. I enjoyed from his service! I had good haircut!if you want to break necks with a skin fade go see Louis! He is best! I recommend his service everyone!

When I first moved to the city, I tried four or five to salons to find the right place. I paid well over $50 for a haircut at these high priced salons in hopes of getting a great haircut. I was never happy with any of them, I didnt feel like the stylists were skillful at all. The guys at Gotham City Barbers are good at what they do, they are all craftsmen. I have been to three different barbers there, and all three were awesome. Yes, they all have their different styles, but all know how to cut hair.

This place is easily the best barber shop on the west side. Some of the best fades in the game. They take their time and make sure your happy. Most affordable prices by far as well. Give them a shot youll enjoy it.

This is my go to barbershop for the Midtown West, Lincoln Center, Hells Kitchen, Columbus Circle area where I live. There are usually short waits and I have one of the same 2-3 guys each time. They have 8 or so chairs to get through a lot if people quickly. Also really love this spot because they have a loyalty punch card for free haircuts!

Stopped by here to get a haircut and was very pleased. I was greeted by friendly and experienced barbers. Yuri took care of me and gave me one of the best haircuts and shaves I ever got. He took his time and was very skilled at his craft. Ill be sure to come back. The prices are fair for such great service.

Extremely high turnover of staff. The only pro of Gotham is that it is inexpensive. If you aren’t directly instructing them on how to cut your hair, they will completely change your hairstyle. I tried to be patient, giving them several opportunities but there is just no consistency or continuity. I am never going back.

Trendy HK barber shop. Often busy but lots of barbers so the line moves quickly. Ive had four different guys cut my hair and always leave happy. Reasonable prices as well and they give you a loyalty card so your tenth cut is free.

Used to be a cool local place but that has changed.I have been going there from the very begining when it was just 3 barbers.Today I went in for a haircut and one of the regular guys that cuts my hair (Eddie) didnt have a customer and tries to send me to a different barber.I told him I prefer you do it reason being the barber he told me to go didnt do a good job on my sons hair. So he made a face and began to act busy sweeping and massaging another guy as if he didnt feel like doing it.So I left because clearly they no longer want my service.

If I could give less than one star I would. The wait and the haircut were honestly not bad at all. The shave on the other hand was abysmal. Ive been getting shaved at barber shops for years. Not once in any of those years have I gotten razor burn from a barber, one bump at the most. Its now 4 days later and the entirety of my neck still looks terrible from the razor burn. The shave was extremely aggressive and to be frank, unprofessional.

I cant tell if this is a usual thing once it was my first and last time there, but caution is recommended. Staff was very courteous and friendly. I came in 20 mins before closing time on a Sunday and the place was already busy. The team was Rey accommodating and stayed past closing time and didn’t make me feel rushed.

I am not originally from the city . I came here to visit and sight see the big apple. I was staying in the holiday inn on 57 and 10 ave. on the same block of my hotel I saw a barber shop, although Im not comfortable trying a different barber besides who I usually go back home, I decided to give it a shot . I went inside Gotham city barber shop and I really had the best New York City haircut experience. The professionalism from the barber was great !! I got a great haircut and the atmosphere of the shop was amazing . I recommended this barber shop to everyone and i I come back to New York, I will make sure to stop by here again!
