Premium barbershop is the best barber Ive found in NYC. Really solid cuts at a great price. Arthur clearly cares a lot about his clients and the quality of his work. The experience is always friendly, professional, affordable and top quality. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

As a black guy in midtown it can be hard to find a good spot to get a cut, but this place does a really solid job. The only problem is that I’ve had to wait longer just to get a cut because not all of them are willing to cut a black guy’s hair. At least, unlike other of their locations, there are a couple barbers who are willing. I’ve been a regular for a few months now. Everyone is very friendly and offers great service.

I had an incredible experience at Premium Barbershop. This is definitely my barbershop of choice from now on. The staff was friendly, the ambiance was impressive, and my hairstylist, Yuriy, was extremely attentive and precise. Highly recommend.

Alex and the regular barbers are great and consistently give a good cut. Originally found this place as it was nearby, but now live in battery park and trek back uptown as they are worth it. As of July 2017, haircut was $22 and worth every penny. They have straight razor shave and shampoo services also.It can be busy after work and weekends, but usually less than 15 min wait, they work fast even with a line. Stop by in AM and you will likely walk right in. Im writing this at 10:30 AM on a Sat and only one other person is in the shop with me. Alex, his #4 and his straight razor are a monthly ritual.

I’m new to the city and I have been finding barbershops after my self-quarantine. When I saw this place online and found out that it was affordable, I decided to go there. When I arrived there, the place and the people didn’t disappoint me at all. First of all, it was clean. Secondly, the lady who cut my hair was really nice and made sure I was satisfied with the length of my hair. I would definitely come back to this place!

New in the area and someone in my apartment building recommended this barbershop. I treated my husband to a haircut from here and the results were amazing! Nothing but positive feedback from his experience and I have high expectations, which they certainly met. The barbershop itself looks great as a cherry on top.

When I think of a great barber, I think of someone I can trust. The type where I can fall asleep in the chair (hypothetically) and wake up looking like a new man ready to go to a gala. This is my experience every time I go to Premium Barbershop. Arther is nothing short of a master at his craft and overdelivers every time I go. I get in the chair and he know what I want (I get the same thing every time). Two things I value in every product/service I buy is quality and consistency. The cut was okay. The barber I got was very aggressive. Would tug my hair very hard, burn my hair and scalp with the scorching hot hair blower. And then left my hair littered with lose hair everywhere. I had to go to the bathroom after the cut to get off all the excess hair the barber unnecessarily left behind. Very lousy and bad hair cut experience.

I have gone here twice for a haircut now. My initial visit was extremely positive and friendly and I was offered all the free amenities: hot towel and neck shave. The second visit was not so much. My haircut was quicker the second time, but it was evident that my barber did not care all that much except to get me out of the chair.I will still continue to visit here, but I hope that the staff will be a bit friendlier.

Excellent barbershop. I normally go to salons that charge twice as much if not more. ($50-60 for a men’s cut). Came in 20mins before closing, and Yury did a great job even as they were closing up shop. $25 +tip for scissor cut. A+. Will return again!

Favorite barbershop in the city!

After moving to the city I was a bit uneasy to find a new barbershop, however I found everything I wanted and more at Premium Haircuts at 622 3rd Avenue! The quality of service they provide is second to none as well the staff treats you like you have been coming there for years. Definitely would recommend. 5 out of 5 for sure!

I have been there every time I need a haircut since I moved to New York. It was just a few minutes away from work. Ali is my favorite barber (He is the guy that is stationed at the last spot at the end of the shop). Dont fooled by his quiteness and young. He is quite talented barber. Although he has only been a barber for about a year, he is quite good. He is very detailed and takes time to cut your hair to your perfection. No rush unlike others in the same shop. My ears are very ticklish with the vibration of the tool (dont know what it called). He works around them and eventually makes them less sensitive to the sound. I come to him all the time even if I have to wait every time.

I always leave here feeling confident and refreshed. Style is very important to me when it comes to mens hair. There is no other barbershop I would recommend. Staff is professional and show great customer service. Place is super clean and they cut any type of hair from layer cuts to skin fades. The cuts are always on point!!

They definitely deserve the name Premium as they give you premium haircut quality. The staffs were very friendly as well and they are pretty efficient with what they do.

100% recommend for an great haircut, that is not overpriced at all ($25), with skilled barbers. Artur is the owner, very nice, and does a great job everytime I request him. Also, after your 9th haircut, you get a 10th free. I don’t need to write anything more, go and give them and try and you won’t be dissatisfied!

The quality of the haircut really depends on who cuts your hair. Ive been here three times now (with three different barbers). The first was good. The second was fine. The third was bad (the hair line was very uneven and the cut throughout was also quite choppy; that is, the length of hair would be half an inch too short in some places so it just looked very uneven). Each time was quick, but dont expect to get a decent haircut each time you come.

Great - simple no frills barber shop. Small place - with around 7 chairs. They pay attention to your requests - straight razor for your neck with warm lather - hot towel to finish. Also shampoo and other services I havent used. $20 for a high quality cut... bargain nowadays.Tip - Dont go right before work or during the lunch hours - very busy times.

If youre a man in the midtown area, the guys here will do the job of getting your hair style cleaned up and back in shape for a few weeks. Theyve always asked specifics of what I want. Avoid the lunch hour rush, and they will usual be able to seat you right away.

This place saved my ASS BIG TIME!!! Got a horrible haircut from another spot nearby and came here to try to get it fixed. Susanna worked wonders with the chopped job that I was given and completely revitalized my hair to exactly what I wanted it to be. They sat to never half ass a job, so make sure you just come here to get it done right the first time!

They have a guy who sets down coupons next to people sitting down in public spaces. Never gets picked up so essentially its littering. Find a barber shop that doesnt add unwanted trash to this city.

It’s a hit or miss. When you arrive they’ll tell you to go with whoever is available. The barber that sits near the bathroom promised me a “serious cut” and ended up slicing my face. If you go to this place ask for Manuel, he’s the best barber out of all of them.

I have been going to PBS and Arthur from day 1 that he opened this place. At the time that stylish haircut is threatened by one cut fit all chain barbershops, Arthur and his team still consider haircut an art. The price of haircut for what he does is extremely reasonable. The fact that his barbershop is always packed, to the degree that annoys me as i have wait for about an hour or so, despite not being in front of people eyes speaks volume about his service. He supervises his other barbers very closely, so if you didnt have good experience with any of his friends, I think he deserves to know the detail and as far as i know him, he will act swiftly.
