My regular barber was closed so I walked in here without an appointment and they took me right away. Really friendly guys, great conversation but I hate to say that the end product for the haircut was disappointing. My barber took quite a bit of time and we went back and forth but it still did not turn out as I was hoping. I had asked for a tapered fade with a hard part, the fade itself looked jagged and uneven and the hard part was created on a new line than normal. My wife asked me what went wrong as soon as I got back from my haircut -- never a great sign. Ill probably stick to my normal spot but it was worth a shot.

Walked in without an appointment and was helped immediately. I buzzed all my hair off for the first time a couple months ago and needed to clean it up since it was growing in crazy. Eddie was super nice and took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted even though I didn’t know clipper lengths or anything. Very satisfied, will definitely be back!

Been searching for a great barber in my area for over a year. I came across Bedford Barber and was a little hesitant, based of its cool factor. I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised at the great cut. I have been going there ever since.

Decent haircut, a lil xpensive for my delicate british wallet but hey that’s nyc baby. The lady Cathy was friendly and I had the pleasure of watching a soap opera on her phone while she chopped. No pics from the chopping floor but it’s right next to the IFC Center which was nice!

Went to Francisco a few times. Asked for a very simple skin fade. He creates a very stark distinction between the top and bottom of the fade; very little blending, very stark gradient. Next time I go, I specifically asked him to make sure that he blended it more smoothly so there was no line, but yet again there was a clear boundary between the top and bottom of my sides. Then he charged me $40, whereas before he charged me $35. Maybe it was because he spent longer than before, or because rent had increased, but it was definitely not a $40 haircut. I won’t be coming back, even though it’s convenient for me.

Im a Dominican who is relatively new to this area. For months, I struggled to find a barber who knew how to work with my wavy hair. It was just last week that I discovered Bedford Boys, which is operated by Dominicans who knew what I required AND with the added bonus of being reasonably priced (given how unaffordable the neighborhood is). They even threw in a complimentary shave for good measure! Will definitely be going back! Thank you so much!

But maybe he cant give your friend, who has a different head and different hair, the perfect cut he wants. Its subjective, which is why most barbershop reviews are a mix of mostly hes the hair Messiah and a few hes a butcher comments.A master barber can give anyone who walks through the door the cut they want 98% of the time, or tell them why its not doable with their hair. Francisco is a master barber.Its like $5-$7 more than what I pay for a cut uptown, but I dont have to sweat bullets worrying if the barber is going to go rogue and give me a high and tight or some weird hairline shapeup that Im going to hate for weeks, or wind up shaving off and spending 2 months growing back out. Not a tough decision.Go get your hair cut here.

Francisco took his time. His attention to detail was superb. He did the little things other barbers ignore: beard line, nose, and eyebrows. The neck line was perfect: a nice fade and natural. I came in off the street but will return. Francisco is one of the best!

I stumbled upon Bedford Boys Barber Shop on my way home from work. I stopped in and got a great haircut from Francisco. Basic no thrills barber shop. Happy to have a reliable haircut place in the neighborhood. I used to get my haircut at Fellow Barber and Neighborhood Cut and Shave, but this was the best cut Ive had in a while. Definitely making this my new spot.

Found this place near my work and super happy I did. Eddie was very friendly and really took his time with me. I have thick italian hair and I only do skin fades, Eddie did and awesome job one of the best haircuts I have got in the city and the cost was excellent compared to other places. Called in to book an appointment with cathy but when I got there at the confirmed time they gave me Francisco instead since she was busy. I asked for a tapered fade with nothing too short since I was trying to grow out my sides and I just needed them cleaned up, but I ended up getting a really close fade and losing a months worth of progress.
