Love this place! Jordan really took care of me! He chopped away 3 months worth of pandemic-hair and left me with a nice clean do that still looks fantastic 3 weeks later. I was dubious when he told me my hair would look like this every morning, but he was right -- dude knows what hes doing! Ive had my hair cut by about 5 different barbers at this and the W. 23rd St location, and I always walk away feeling and looking great.

Vinny was great! Service was friendly and efficient. Overall I’m very happy with first my haircut in over a year due to the pandemic. Vinny was able to turn a lion’s mane into something stylish.

Luckily after moving back to NYC after 19 years away, I found Wallace at Made Men barbershop! He is a skilled professional and amazing at his craft. I scheduled a 40-minute hair cut: I got a shampoo, hair cut, head massage, hair treatment, and received such great attention to detail! Adam is the so talented! Steve was amazing!!! I came in for my first haircut in 2.5 years, and asked for a big chop, which is not an easy task. Steve handled my thick curls with ease, and was meticulous in ensuring my hair was cut evenly and to the style I desired. I think now I will have to get my hair cut more frequently, because Steve did such a fantastic job.

I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. Worst haircut I have ever received in my life. I gave the barber clear directions on how to cut my hair and he didnt follow them, not even bothering to ask me for clarification. When it was finished and I asked for him to cut a bit more off, he acted offended that I had said anything. Extremely rude and disrespectful. Ive never touched a pair of clippers and I could have done a better job. Avoid this place like the plague, or better yet, have your blind grandmother cut your hair. Youd be better off.

Was fastest cut I’ve ever received in nyc and I’ve been here 12 years Came for walk in and asked did they take card they said yes at end of cut they said cut was 35 plus 2.50 card fee and I can’t tip cash so I need to use atm which is a dollar and bank would then charge me 2 dollars on top of that so I said hey can I just tip using card they said no $10 tip minimum so I said OK can I tipped $10 and you give me five after them saying no for a few minutes He finally said OK yeah In between all that somehow my card was charged $50 and they gave me five dollars cash back this place was not a great experience I would definitely try to pick somewhere else!!

Quality of their haircut used to be decent for the price, however they recently upped their prices to $35 for a plain quick haircut without shampoo, so it’s no longer worthwhile. Plenty of other better options in the city

Modern Barbershop with elements of old school flair. Very easy to make an appointment but also can walk in. I always get Adam as my barber, but they all seem nice. Super chill vibe and comfortable chairs. The eucalyptus oil hot towel at the end is a nice touch. Also ladies dont be shy, Adam is a stylist, he cuts and colors ladies hair too.

I have been getting my haircut here for over 4 years now. Always incredibly professional and friendly. Given my busy schedule, its perfect because they accept walk-ins in a timely fashion. By chance I have had Steve cut my hair the last few times, and his attention to detail and professionalism is top-notch. Steve is an artists with both scissors and clippers. I keep my hair long on top pushed back and a short fade on the sides. I had a friend who cut my hair for the past 5 years but he moved, so I took the chance after reading reviews on Steve. I am not disappointed at all. The cut was fantastic and stylish with no issues at all. Steve is my new go to barber.

I have never written a review for a barber before, but the haircut I received today from Steve was perhaps the most horrible haircut I’ve ever received. Not only did he manage to do exactly what I asked him not to, and even after showing him pictures of how I’ve always had it before, he gave me perhaps the most careless haircut you could ever ask for. With hair unevenly trimmed on the sides, he managed to royally mess up my head right before I have to go to a wedding. Probably never ever going back to mademan again.

I live nearby and have gotten into the habit of seeing Steve for the past year-ish. He does a great job cutting my hair; it consistently looks clean and refreshing. And the warm towel treatment is the best part! The location itself is convenient, clean, and nicely designed. The online booking / payment system works well.

I went for the first time since it’s close to my office as a walk in. Steve cut my hair and he did a great job. Best haircut I’ve gotten in a while...and was quick/highly efficient. They gave me a better beard trim then any other place Ive been to. They use the straight razor to shape it up. They gave me more than one free whiskey and a free beard trim. They also gave me a gift bag and free appetizers for the fathers day event.

Sonia is amazing!!! Im a few months new to NYC and after finding a good barber, my plans changed last minute and he was longer available. I took the risk and came here where I randomly ended up with Sonia. The risk paid off because not only is she super nice and down to earth, but she did an amazing job on my hair! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER! I told her how I usually style it, the problem cuts I had in the past with people not listening, and my potential worries for this cut. We had great conversation, and a short while later I left we with a great cut and new place to get my hair done! As for the shop in general, clean environment, and booked with what looked like happy guests. The check in area is all the way at the back and threw me off a bit. I was a little confused because I had made an appointment to make sure Id be able to see someone and when I arrived, it didnt really seem to matter because the girl at the desk, while polite, seemed a little confused and didnt even look at the computer. Steve is my personal barber, he’s amazing. The overall staff are friendly and straight to the point. They do an amazing job with their technique and cleanliness and are just as strict about punctuality as you may be as well which for me is a plus. They listen and their results show well.

I always go to Adam who is classically trained, and reliably provides quality service and superior results. The team is great and the services are impeccable. The only barbershop I know since I moved to NYC. Amazing service, cant ask for more. I got haircuts from different barbers and they all know what they are doing. Wish I found this place years ago. I usually go to a local barber near the office but find them a bit dirty and rough around the edges. Went to Made Man for the first time today and found it to be a relaxing environment with true pros who are a step above the neighborhood barber. Walked out with a much better cut than the typical barber clipper cut. Perfect for guys who want a great haircut in professional and grown up environment at a very fair price ($31). Actually didn’t want to get out of the chair.

Went in for a cleanup - charged $20 for 5 minutes of service. Did a fine job, but it’s way too expensive for what it is.I’m sure they give great haircuts, but won’t be coming back because of this experience.

Alx gives the sickest cuts, been seeing her for years at various shops in NYC. Now Im at Made Man and couldnt be happier! Ive had all kinds of different styles and shes manifested them all from short cuts to my current near shoulder length. Shell give you a style that works at the office and while getting wild. Thats almost 10 years worth!

Moved to NYC a couple of months ago and haven’t found a new barber yet. Walked in 35 minutes before closing (I called ahead to see if that would be okay) and they got me set right up as soon as I walked in with a great barber, his name was Mark. He asked what I wanted done with it and I told him what I generally get done every couple of months and that I’m not that dedicated to taking care of my hair. I told him I’d be willing to do it more frequently if I had a hairstyle that I really liked and wanted to keep so I asked him to do what he would do if he had my hair and head shape and everything. He knew what to do straight off the bat and gave me one of the best cuts I’ve had in years, along with a bunch of good tips on how to take care of my kind of hair. Mark is my guy for good now. Funny, good guy to talk to, knows his stuff about hair, and has big dreams in tech. Man was a pleasure to speak with. Go and ask for Mark!

Excellent barbershop. All of the barbers Ive had have been very professional in understanding and delivering what I want. Samir has transitioned into being my go to and he has not disappointed once in the handful of haircuts I have had with him. He pays very close attention to detail while also being quick so Ive never had a reason to go anywhere else. 5/5!

Adam is my favorite barber. From the first day I walked in, I met Sam who introduced me to Adam. I had very long hair, was committed to cutting it and wasn’t sure what to do. I walked in on a Sunday and was immediately seated and Steve gave me the best haircut experience Ive had in the city. He asked what I liked and went to work and gave me his opinion and suggested I try something different. He clearly has a good eye and hands as this may have been the best cut Ive had in a long time. Had a wonderful experience getting a blowout with Adam at Made Man on 23rd/Madison. I brought my boys in for a haircut and was surprised to see that there was another room in the back where women can get their hair cut. Adam did an amazing job, charged a reasonable price and I will most definitely be back. I highly recommend it!

Adam is the MAN. I had to try a number of different spots in the city when I moved here in January 2018 since its so difficult finding people who can adequately cut curly hair with scissors and also do razor fades, especially near my office downtown. I found out about Made Man and Adam online and gave him a try — havent looked back since. He pays attention to every detail and always leaves me looking sharp. Got a last-minute cut done before my recent trip to Moscow and I think its the best one Ive ever had! The staff and other barbers are all friendly and provide great service, and the prices are reasonable for NYC. Highly recommend this barbershop and Adam to any other guys out there with curly hair.

I have been to tons of barber shops around Manhattan and Brooklyn but Made Man is the best. Over the last few years I have had seen several of the barbers at the Madison/23rd Street location and have had a great experience with all of them but Richie is the man! I have gotten endless compliments on my haircut, ranging from people around the office (who I dont know) commenting in the hallways to strangers in the street. Go see Richie!
