Avoid at all cost. Utterly Hopeless...devoid of any technical abilities or customer service. Had a tire shipped to them from Tire Rack. Showed them the delivery documentation...it itook three staff members to eventually find it (delivered the previous day). Then they said that I had no appointment. I proceeded to show them the mail from them confirming the appointment. They then had the car on the ramp, wheel off, only to find that they didnt have the equipment to mount the tire on the wheel as their machine was too old (my wheel/tire was nothing special), and so suggested I call another Firestone dealer - they clearly werent going to inconvenience themselves and call their sister branch...ended up going to the dealer...
Sat in the lobby for an hour and a half WITH an appointment scheduled. Just needed simple routine maintenance and my vehicle never moved. Had to ask for my keys back to go somewhere else. Place is extremely slow
Very professional, I had an appointment with them to fix a slow leak in one of my tires. When I arrived 20 minutes late they just got on with the job. No attempt to have me make another appointment. Excellent job!
Took vehicle in for maintenance HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE. service manager very friendly and professional. The mechanic was very friendly and competent. Will use them again.
Was referred to the New Braunfels Firestone by a former employee whose former manager (Ashley) now works there. My experience at this Firestone was great! They worked me in and got me out in a reasonable amount of time. The technician was very informative and worked to fix a problem that could of kept us from leaving for our vacation as scheduled. Will definitely be back!
I have always been treated with professional and courteous attention. I have purchased tires and have used Firestone for my oil changes. I have always been happy with the service!
Ashley has been superrrr helpful! 10/10 customer service. Also this location gets you in and out fast!
Good service... was disappointed with the fact we had to wait because the wrong part was ordered... but when it was time to pay... they were very fair with a discount because of their error... Thanks the air-conditioning works great.. 😊💗
I was very pleased that only the required work was done and in a timely manner.
Dated but excellent and professional service on a rainy day
No one knew I was planning to leave this review... Today 9.12.2020, I stopped in to have my tire pressure checked and as usual, they immediately started checking my tires... As a single woman, I appreciate the service that this location (Walnut) extends... It reminds me of the times when it was the thing to do (check youur oil, clean your windshields and pump your gas)... Neighborly... To all of the team at the Walnut Firestone, Thank you for always doing a great job... Btw, my brakes work great!
I called in & they were able to look at my car right away. Tim Grey is an exceptional guy and an even better manager; he was very pleasant, and everyone did a great job. I’m sad he has moved locations but otherwise I’d definitely recommend!!
I had a nail in my new tire from Firestone so I went to Firestone in San Marcos to fix my tire. They were overbooked and sent me to the New Braunfels location who took me right in and fixed my tire quickly..Thank You Very Much!
They charged us $600 and our truck was not working or running 🤬
Excellent location, quick service, and a good price for a vehicle inspection.
Amazing staff, competent and friendly!
So we had to take my husband’s 2013 Dodge Dart in the shop twice for AC repair. We originally took it to Firestone because we were told his AC just needed to be recharged. This was on October 15. Then my husband made an appointment to take it back on October 21st because he was still having issues with his AC and we were told by Firestone that the condenser was actually leaking. So I reached out to our warranty company and was told since it wasn’t damaged, that the warranty wouldn’t cover it. So we called Firestone back to get the condenser repaired, but had to wait because they said the part wasn’t in at the time. So my husband made an appointment on October 26 and after the repair was done, we found out from the receipt that the condenser was actually damaged and replaced and Firestone was waiting on the part to come in so they could replace it. So I reached back out to my warranty company for reimbursement since the condenser was actually damaged and needed to be replaced only to find out that we are only getting a partial reimbursement due to not filing a claim originally. If we would have been told up front that they were replacing the part we would have filed a claim. Just frustrated with the experience and wish this all could have been avoided.
Had an annoying squeak in the front left quadrant; previously visited another Firestone store, and reported same, but was not addressed. These guys looked for the source, and confirmed everything was tight and in good working order. Lubricated bushings, and voila! Squeak is gone. I truly appreciated their professionalism and thorough follow-through. Will definitely be back!!
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSWHERE! ONCE THEY FINALLY ANSWER THE PHONE THEY ARE NOOOO HELP!
You cant answer yalls phones for 2 days straight and this not acceptable especially calling to make a appt
I purchased 2 tires and alignment and the staff was great the service was great and fast and efficient.
Very quick service.
Brought my sons truck here for a battery warranty swap out. While there, decided to have them give me an estimate to fix his AC as it worked sometimes but mostly not. Got the call from James to explain a whole new system was needed to the tune of $1100. For my kids first truck, I declined. When I picked it up I stopped by another shop to get it looked at. They found a broken wire. So, a $30 wiring harness from auto zone fixed the problem and we did it at home.Extremely disappointed that they thought I would just pay $1100 without question. Very shady thing to do. Beware.
Outstanding customer service! Their attention to detail and checking wheels & brakes found some loose lugnuts that couldve caused a wheel to come off when driving. One of the back calipers had lost a bolt & they inspected and fixed it! Price of labor and new battery was very reasonable. It always helps to deal with a manager and team who have a great sense of humor.
Their service is getting better. They have new mechanics I guess. What I love about this place and Firestone in general is the honesty about whats needed for your car. And the $9.95 safety inspection is awesome. You know what is needed and can set up a maintenance schedule to get the work done. I shop here as well as my 3 daughters and my dad.As ladies, most mechanics see you coming and break whats not broken to get more money out of you. Firestone is transparent and DOES NOT DO THAT! They treat ladies with respect and explain things in ways we can understand. Thanks guys 😍😊
I was a walk-in. My vehicle needed an Oil Changewas immediately placed in the queue. I was out of there within one hour. Superior Service.
I had a 3PM appt for a vehicle inspection for travel, not the state inspection. We didnt leave until after 5PM. Why make appointments when you cant get people in and out timely.
They are great before they charge you after you pay its tail light warranty because when you try to get service on warranty they avoid the customer to the point they say the manager was fired then we go back the same manager is there
Not typically a negative reviewer, but this service was pathetic today. I scheduled an appointment last week and spoke with the manager about the service request. It was approved & quoted. Today, on time for appt, it was as though I was a mystery and a burden. The sales guy/ tech clearly had better things to be doing than servicing my appointment & certainly had a put out, poor attitude. When i mentioned i discussed the request through the manager, the response was well hes not here today.I will take my business elsewhere.
I scheduled an appointment to get my wheels aligned and received an email saying that they got my appointment when I showed up they had no clue about the appointment and no one wanted to do my alignment there, and the email said if any changes or if it could not be done I would get a call or email I got neither. when I asked the guy why he said they have a bad system. I will definitely not go back
Excellent customer service!
I always have a good experience when I bring my vehicle here for maintenance and repairs. Thank you for always fitting me in and doing a great job. Well done!
3 and a 1/2 hours to get tires
Staff was courteous. Restroom was dirty. Service wasnt done correctly the first time.
Despite having several people there ahead of me, I wasnt there for too long. Polite, good customer service, and in and out in under an hour even with a screw in my tire. 10/10 for sure!
The service I received at this location was exceptional. John (employee) provided professional attention to my service needs, concerns, and value of my time. All work was successfully completed as promised and on the first visit.I strongly recommend this retail automotive service center.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! Should have read the reviews first, would not have gone there. Went in to get my engine light turned off. They said they would run a complete diagnostics which would take around two hours. Five minutes later they come in and the mechanic, Jeremy (who was genuinely a good guy), said before he runs a diagnostic he checks the gas nozzle area and sure enough there was a little plastic ring that had dislodged and he took it out. No work whatsoever on their part. Nevertheless, they charged me $108 for the diagnostic test. If they wanted repeat business he should have just said forget about the cost, or charged me $20, or something that would make me want to come back. Instead, I get charged $108 for virtually nothing. I didnt even get a full diagnostics test done and still got charged $108. And now the light is still coming on! Miserable way to treat a retired military person on a fixed income.
I was very happy with the service and care provided to me during my visit to Firestone. I have never been to Firestone before, and this was only to have my vehicle inspection. Watching the way they take care of the customers in the lobby with their tires made me feel like Ive been having my tires done at the wrong place. They werent pushy, they werent rude, they were very sincere in taking care of all the customers waiting as well for their vehicles. I will definitely go to Firestone the next time I need something with my vehicle!
Dont take your vehicle here for a safety inspection. They will knit pick every little detail. Failed me for my parking brake not working. Its an automatic transmission, I never use the parking brake. Failed me for red bulbs in my third brake light. All my other brakes lights have red lenses. Failed me for brake fluid in reservoir being too low but my brakes work just fine. Just ridiculous.
The guys that helped us today was the most amazing worker there he was such a huge help to me and my husband today I can not thank him enough for what he did today I highly recommend coming here if you have any tire needs
My car is leaking oil after an oil change.
The people are polite & competent but make sure you go over every inch of the estimate they give you. I was quoted $476 for services & when I picked up my car they wanted to charge me over $700. After discussion & a call to the store Mgr. got the bill dropped to $580 ( still over the estimate ).
Overpriced and lazy. I had brought my fiancé vehicle in for an oil change and paid the price and left. The check engine light came on the next day so I asked them to take a look thinking it might be something small that happened during the oil change. The code they said read as a dealer only code and that I should take it there to have them look at it and make sure it is safe. I take it to the dealership and have to pay for a diagnostic that was unnecessary because it was caused by a clogged air filter that Firestone checked as green or ok in their visual inspection on the oil change. I am now out more money for having taken this vehicle to Firestone and when I called back to tell them of this I did not get an apology nor an offer to make this right no I got told that it was not possible that the air filter to cause a check engine light and that they did check the filter even though they had not. I will not be going back and I am urging everyone to never go here as these people do not do the job they were hired for and will take no responsibility for when they make a mistake.
This place is terrible don’t take your car here this place is a joke “scammers”
I received great service here. I needed an alignment and come to find out I needed tires. Unfortunately my old tires were under warranty at the other tire store. I am glad I got the lifetime alignment though because I enjoy the pride and professionalism of the staff at this location.
I am absolutely livid. I paid $70 for them to change my oil and check my tires. I told them my sensor was going off. They took it upon themselves to charge me an extra $20 for a sensor reset or some such thing. How about asking the customer if they want to pay the extra for the reset??? I would have been happy to just know my tires are all at the right pressure. I’ve been a customer for over 5 years. They just lost my and my family’s business. $50 for an oil change? Absolutely ridiculous. I think they are taking advantage of people who aren’t mechanically inclined.Edited to add: after calling customer service I was offered a refund for the diagnostic fee but needed to get it in person. When asked by the manager Tim Gray why I was getting a refund for work that had been already done I asked him if it was his policy to perform work that costs money without letting the customer know or at least informing them of the cost up front. He said no. But now his mechanics will not get paid for work they already did. Not professional at all. I fear for the people that just trust their word and they sneak in extra costs here and there. Buyer beware, there are much more professional places in new Braunfels for car work.
Absolutely love this place. The guys are nice and good at explaining what needs to be done and why. The only downside is they are a little pricey but you get what you pay for so I’m willing to shell out the extra dough. The coupons online are very helpful. I’ll probably be purchasing a firestone gift card to use for future car expenses. 10/10 would recommend.
Great customer service !!
Expensive! Wanted $1,000 to replace brake pads and rotors, and wouldnt hand over the keys until a $20 inspection was paid. However, customer service was pleasant. I wont be back.
Great Job .Thank you.
The people working here are friendly but other than that, I wouldn’t have given even one star. I had an 11am appointment. Needed an alignment and tire balance. Came back around 3:15pm. They hadn’t touched my vehicle still! 4 hours later. I took the keys and left, it’s pathetic. What is the point of an appointment? I’ll never take my vehicle back to them again. I’ll find somewhere in San Antonio that will actually do what I’m paying you to do in a timely manner.
I made an appointment and they made me wait an hour. After an hour they told me they were not going to be able to service my vehicle and that I need to come back another day.
Made an appointment to have my ac checked and serviced. Showed up at the appointment time to be told they would not be able to do it that day. I received no notice that they wouldn’t be able to work on my car at my scheduled time. If I had I would have tried to find another place. Instead I lost a whole day and everywhere else is full.
Should have read prior reviews before going. Needed an alignment which the store manager said would be no problem, received a call a half hour later saying they couldnt do it but found other issues they were trying to sell me on. Not only did they prove to be no help but also cost me money as my drivers side mirror was cracked upon returning of vehicle and when questioned of course no one knew anything. Save yourself the time and hassle...
This is my second time here for brake squealing. The first time I was here, it took them 7 hours to pull my truck into the bay. (Thank god I wasn’t waiting at the shop). They said they sprayed something to eliminate with moisture. This only lasted half a day before doing it again. So now I’m here again this time I decided to wait on my truck. They told me the technician will be working on my truck at 8am. (Not) my truck is still sitting outside the shop. This was a mistake having Firestone work on my truck. Should of gone somewhere else. Spent about $350 for new rotors for the back and new brake so I can spend my life waiting for my truck for them to get it right
I scheduled an oil change on Firestones website. Got received email which stated your appointment is set. I showed up the following day and my appointment was changed without contacting me. The manager did not offer to reschedule and an apology was never mentioned. Im an Hispanic man and I observed that I was getting treated different the white man who came in with no appointment and was taken care of right away . I was basically pushed away
You wont believe this review please read! I was literally assaulted by the mechanic Steve at this Firestone location. Went in to ask what the f*** they did to my truck after taking it in for front brakes and rotors and to have the tires balanced and rotated. When picking it up the inside of the truck and other things were all messed up. I was told the work was done but they could not balance and rotate the tires because they were too old? I told them that the tires were 15 months old but whatever. I left and live 1 block away from this place. I had never had any trouble or flats on these tires until mysteriously when I got home that day I had one?I went in the next day and asked to have a meeting with Tim, the store salesman, and the mechanic that worked on my truck. Tim went to get Steve and we met in their office, big mistake on my part because I had no witness. Steve was in front of me about 3 to 4 feet away and Tim was to my left. Before I could get out my whole question on what he did to my truck, Steve was up in my face literally 2 inches or less from my nose screaming at the top of his lungs at me! I put my left hand up from reflex and touched his shoulder, only because he was SO close to my face and said hold on buddy and he hauled off and hit me full force in the middle of my chest and knocked me back 3 feet. Knocking the breath out me, I told them hold on I have asthma and I needed to catch my breath before going on any further. I asked what the heck was that about and why he hit me? Steve said, well you touched me and I replied well dude you HIT me and he just said again you touched me and again I replied but you HIT me!? I was so stunned by all this I just wanted to get out of there, so I said I was sorry if I upset him, not that I was the one who needed to apologize, but I wanted out. I went home and told my wife and she was like he assaulted you! We called the police and filed a police report on him, Steve. The officer went down to get Tim and Steves version and oh guess what, I pushed Steve, according to Tim and Steve. Now let me ask you this... How did I know if there was possibly a camera in that office, I didnt, so why would I lie about this and get the police involved? I sure wish there would have been a camera because it is their word against mine and guess who corporate believed?! Certainly not the customer! From what I have heard this Steve guy threatened a lady a few months before this, wish I knew her name... Bottom line do not go in this store and ever ask Steve Bowlby what he might have done to your car! This is the gospel truth!
I had an emergency battery replacement. They did a great job. Less than 30 mins.
11am appointment. I requested it done by 3pm to which he replied “shouldn’t be a problem at all”.Had to call 3 times before someone answered the phone at 3pm. Finally he gets in the line and tells me that “it’s in the bay, our tech had to drive someone somewhere so when he gets back he will need to drain the oil and add the new oil - then rotate the tires” - so basically NOTHING was done for my oil change and tire rotation when I dropped it off 4 hours ago. Why make an appointment, then make promises they cant keep. I was trying to save time to do both at the same location, which backfired. Next time I’ll go to Discount Tire and the Quik Lube.
Very good i told them i wanted to stay around 100 a tire so i could do all 4 .he searched the computer and found me a set of 4 at 92.00 a tire. The guys where fast and even checked my oil and fluids. I would recommend this place.
I had a 2oclock appointment. To change a tire!! It is 4oclock still no car. I work for a living. I asked if my car was ready it took 20 minutes for the man to tell me 10 minutes. About 30 minutes ago.We bought all four tires here, my back driver tire has gone low since we bought them. $80 and half a day later maybe it will hold air!!Well shoot now they didnt charge me for the tire thank you I guess thats called good business..
Friendly and very helpful! Was in a tight spot out of town with a broken down car, they got us fixed up
First off, I just purchased my used vehicle (2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition) and have a full lifetime tire warranty with Toyota but chose to take it to Firestone because they came highly recommended by some fellow 4Runner owners I know, they said I was better off trusting my wheels and tires to Firestone, so I did.I called and made my appointment yesterday. I stated what I needed done (tire rotation, balance, and possible alignment). I specifically asked how long it would take because I have a very busy schedule. I run my own business and time is extremely valuable. She told me that what I wanted done would take no longer than an hour and to come at 8:30 so they could knock it out first thing. So we set my appointment for 8:30 sharp.I showed up at exactly 8:30. There were some men standing around talking but no one at the desk. I waited 5-7 minutes to be greeted. The guy at the front desk took down my information and confirmed what we were having done. He handed me a carbon copy of the break down and total, took my keys, and hung my packet on the wall in the shop. He never once asked me which car in the parking lot was mine or to show him which one it was. I assumed he knew.I sat in the waiting area for 30 minutes before noticing they hadn’t even touched my car. I got up and noticed there were two open bays yet my car was still in the same parking spot I pulled into when I got there. The guy I originally spoke to was just standing at the desk carrying on a personal conversation with another guy. I looked at the clock and realized according to the original hour quote they gave me that I should be driving out of there in half an hour. I got up and walked to the desk and asked him if everything was okay, reminded him that they quoted me an hour but hadn’t moved my car yet. He said they were going to have to move it to another bay and that it would more than likely be and hour and a half before they were done. I asked him “An hour and half from the time I got here or an hour and a half from the time you pull into the bay?”. He gave me a shocked look and said “From the time we pull it into the bay”. I reminded him that I had an appointment and I that was unacceptable. He made it clear that they had forgotten about me and ignored my appointment. I asked for my keys and promptly left.I made an appointment with discount tire 10 minutes later. I own and run my own business, I understand that there are sometimes unexpected events that are out of our control. I take great pride in offering my paying clients great customer service and don’t have any patience for businesses who are incapable of offering the same. This location made it clear how they work, and they showed me before they even touched my car. I consider myself lucky that I got out of there before they did.I hope they can take this as an opportunity to change and start offering the quality service that I’m sure Firestone would expect out of them.
I took an older model truck in to have a radiator replaced. They added work without consulting me. An oil change supposedly and new wipers. Did not let me know they all of a sudden found an oil leak that wasnt there before. Paid them almost $1,000 to do the radiator and oil change and wipers. Took the truck home. Parked it. Got out of my truck and oil was pouring out from under the engine area. Took it back to them. They looked at it and changed the oil again supposedly (oil is black, never changed by them even though i was charged twice for it.) Replaced a gasket and charged me $537. I went to pick the truck up again. Paid for it. Then went home and straight back. New fluid leaking from under...now its a freeze plug (btw I was charged a few in the beginning for them to do a pressure test) the man says hes done working on my truck and wont touch it again. Says he and his guys didnt cause anything. He has one of his mechanics check it out again. Now my truck is parked. Cant drive it. Cant do anything with it because oil and now gas are pouring out from underneath. Worst mechanics ever! Something should be done about this. Yet Im having to fork over the $1,500 they have charged me and my truck is in worse shape than before.
They told me that my car will be fixed in an hour. Then they lost the part to my car or just didnt order it. Ok fine I went home thay said it will be ready by noon the next day. Nope, the people where not respectful or helpful. A week later they get the part finally and when I got there they snatched the keys from my hands and huffed off. Once I got my keys back and paid they had a tone with me when i asked the price that they didnt tell me first. They also apparently keep your card on file. Watch your card for unknow charges fokes.
Always friendly
DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE.This place is a huge rip-off. Took my car in for an oil change. $1,500 later, the car still drives them same. They kept coming up with unnecessary repairs and my wife bought into it. Mark, the store mgr. is a huge jerk. Rude as can be. No customer service. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE.
Completely rude staff! I came at 5:30 they close at 7. My tire was flat in a rental and this was the only place they use for rentals. They turned me away stating they were to busy. I have never used Firestone before I always use Discount tire and this is why. I got home and my tire was completely flat. I came back in with the same car the next day to new staff and was still greeted with rude staff. Customer service is seriously lacking and l will never be a paying customer here.
I had a nail in a tire on my new F150 truck. The dealer could not get to it for 2.5 hours. I called Mark and he got me right in. The nail was removed and the hole repaired within minutes. Always great service!
We made an appointment at 11am waited 5hrs and our car was still waiting outside. We only needed an oil change and a flat repair. We took our car back. I will not give money to a business that does not care about their customers time. We go to Firestone because my brother in law works for them in SA. I will only go to his store from now on. They wasted our time!
I should have known i was in for an experiense when i go into the establishment and overhear a customer who was promised her car that day but the parts never were ordered. So now to my experience...Had a 9 am appointment for an alignment. I drop my car off at 845am. When I made the appointment I was told there would be a 3 he time frame. Meaning it could be done before 12 but will definitely be done by 12. I even verified when I dropped the car off to store manager mark. At 1155 I hadnt received a call on my car so I call. I get mark and he has no clue to the status but said he was going to find out and would call right back.........another hour later I call and Mark went to lunch and apparently my car had been ready for sometime. I was beyond mad. I will never be back to this place again!
Very helpful and friendly staff. Fair market prices. I was in a hurry and they were great to do follow up next day.
Great service with recommendations to maintain your vehicle. Thank you to the staff for the time to install my tires.
Very professional and knowledgeable. Be prepared for a wait as theyre very busy.
Dont waste your time. Rude staff and parking is awful. I pulled up to a bay door to ask about getting an inspection, before I could even say anything some tech yelled dont park there! and walked off. Couldnt find any parking and there was a wrecker blocking the driveway. So I left, wont be going back obviously. Id rather go further from my house and get decent customer service.
100% Honest and professional. I took my 2012 Camaro in for new brakes, but after they checked the pads, rotors and rotated my tires I was handed a bill for $9.99! Thats right, less than $10. They said my brakes were ok and had been worn down only about half way (actually gave me the measurements). They rotated my tires as a safety precaution and said I should look into new tires fairly soon. No fake numbers. No extra charges. Hometown small business good neighbor feel from a national chain. Didnt think that happened anymore. Would recommend Mark Gray (Owner) and the crew at Firestone Complete Auto Care to everyone, even my father-in-law. =)
Very efficient and professional. They took my appointment and kept it and the work on the fleet car I drive. And they filled up all the fluids.
Great job with late model car, 2006 Vibe. Good people with good service over many years Ive taken vehicles to them.
Freshly remodeled front area. Really nice people and easy to do business with. Just wish their alignment machine was not perpetually broken.
They ultimately had a great price on tires with a sale going on. But there completely worthless getting you in in a timely manner. Order tires on a Thursday, made a apt at 8am. They didnt bother to get to me until hours later. Ill go to a different firestone
Awesome customer service as usual! Great job!
After calling last week to make an appointment for an oil change, we left our Hyundai Veloster at the New Braunfels store Monday morning by 9 am. My husband and I returned at noon (as he was told about an hour and a half) and stood in line for 20 minutes to be told it was not completed yet. I asked the technician Mark if he could call when completed, and he assured that they would.By 7 pm, we had not received a call. We returned to Firestone to pick up the car, so that neither of us would have to go without a car the next day. The car was locked inside. (Appropriate but problematic!)My husband returned this am to pick up the car, assuming it would be done first. Firestone had not yet started the car service so my husband waited over an hour.Firestone compensated by not charging for the oil change, but in the mean time we were without a car for approximately 27 hours and made four trips to the store. We had scheduled an oil change for our other car for today, so Firestone lost our business for today and the future.
I called ahead of time to make sure they could do the work and was assured that they could. When I called two days later to check the status of my truck, it might as well been a child that answered the phone. He started off by lying to me stating that they called me about my truck..then when I assured him he did not call me he said Oh, yes, no one answered. Whatever what about the truck..then crying in a little girls voice he said, We cant do it!. We cant do it because your truck leaked power steering fluid on our parking lot!! What? Are you kidding me..After the child calmed down I asked him if they couldnt do the job or not..he thrn tells me he can write up an estimate...Thats why my truck was there..geez! I picked the truck up 4 days later..they gave me my keys and said not one word to me..it had been parked off to the side and never touched.Complete Auto Service my back end.Grown men daycare.USELESS!!!!
Firestone in general has gone downhill from what it was years ago. Both the one in New Braunfels and the one on Pat Booker are not impressive. I will never return to the one in New Braunfels. Terrible service. When my husband left his work truck there, they left it out unprotected. That was after they assured him the work would be done by the end of the day. When he called to check on it it was obvious they were not being truthful with him about where they were in regards to servicing the truck. Extremely unimpressed.
Lost paperwork for servicing my truck and then lied to me and said it was getting fine right away. Sat in the lobby for 40mins while my truck was in the same spot I parked it at the day before. Not to mention if my truck was right where I left it that means it was not secured over night in a busy street. Needless to say I will not be going back.
I brought my truck into them to get the breaks and rotors replaced on my new to me truck I had just bought a day before. I left it with them and waited to here on initially how bad they were. The mechanic came and got me and showed me that there were no bolts holding down the brake caliper on the drivers side front. They had to order a new master kit get the bolts needed, no problem, I appreciate they can order it so quickly. I came back the next afternoon and they were almost done with it, he just needed to test drive it but the rain was pouring hard and flooding the area roads. He did get a test drive in but I imagine it would be hard to hear sounds if anything is wrong when half the wheel and brake is under water. I got my truck back and within a day the front driver side wheel is making an awful noise. So I drove it over to the shop and they were very busy so I patiently waited my turn to let him no what was wrong but I had the feeling he knew from the smell. He told me to leave the truck and comeback tomorrow so the original mechanic could look at it. He looked at it and the bolts were not in the caliper like before. So now I was charged and paid for new pads and a rotor resurface to a brand new rotor. Since then the brakes have been working as they should, I am happy with the overall outcome but feel maybe I was a little excessively charged, but then again maybe I wasnt.I would not come back here for any further services.
I brought my truck in for a couple of tires. They told me that the Left Outsr Tie Rod End was bad and needed to be replaced. He funny part is that the entire front end is brand new....well less than three months old. When I point that out Mark kinda hugfs and waves for me to go outside and show me. Sure enough a tie rod is loose. However, there is a difference between worn out “bad” and just loose. They could have tightened the nut if they wanted. Instead they are letting me leave with a loose nut on a tie rod end. One of their mechanics was pretty friendly. This is Firestone...kinda like the McDonalds of the tire world. I never have high expectations with them. I take very good care of my truck and I have been an ASE certified master mechanic for over a decade. I will try a different location.
I was a loyal customer for years until a recent incident. My Titan was up for an oil change and tire rotation. I set up my appointment no problem as I have done in the past. I kindly asked if it could be ready before I pick up my children from school at 2pm (pick up line wait starts then). I called to confirm it was ready, spoke with a guy named Daniel, and had my brother drive me there from our office. When I arrived, I immediately noticed, my wallet was missing. My son had ordered food the night before and did not put it back in my bag. Typical teenage mistake and he has received a spankin jk. It was now close to 2pm and I had not even checked/needed my wallet before then. I figured Ok, Ive been a customer, I can simply pay maybe when I get home, Im sure they wont mind. The bill was about $110 no big deal. They know me. I immediately walked in and asked the guy at the counter Are you Daniel? he replied No. So the other guy putting on his jacket, his name is Daniel. He confusingly says, I dont know why she was asking for me. So I go on to tell them quickly I dont have payment can I pay as soon as I get home? They replied no. Then David, the guy at counter says he has my card on file and Im like YES! Charge it! and hes like Oh never mind, we dont save card info. Ok bummer thanks for the second of hope there. I ask if I can just pay as soon as I get home and Daniel begins to state its customers policy. So you are going to prevent me picking up my children from school for a small payment Daniel? Ive been here numerous times, never an issue, Im human, I need to pick up my children from school, Im in a $35k I had serviced here, and you wont let me take my vehicle and pay you within an hour. I will no longer be taking my vehicle back. I understand customer policy but what about customer care? I would have left any information, driver license, our company card, to ensure I would pay. We too own a small business here in NB so I have a reputation I would not jeopardize over a small bill. Ive done this in great trust of my REPEAT clients as well and I probably have more to lose since Im not just a manager. 😎 You have lost a customer Firestone.
Good experience picking up parts I needed today Anton helped me get what I needed quick in and out!
Just had my air recharged. But they where quick about even on a saturday.
Great service, had coverage on the tires, work with our insurer and we were on the road again
Once again Firestone, managed by Tim, has come through! Excellent service, great customer care and quickly done.Thank you Firestone!!
Had a 9am appointment for tires. Got here at 8:55, was told they ordered them this morning and they had not arrived. They would call when they got in. 1. Who the heck has tires ordered the morning of an appointment. 2. I had an appointment a phone call would have been nice before I drove half an hour to get here. I left they called around 1030 said we got someone to get the tires they will be here at 1130, get here at 1145 tires have not come in yet should be here in half an hour. What good was the appointment if you arent going to honor it. I will never do business with them again . Worst firestone shop ever and they didnt even offer a discount for my time and trouble. I wasted a full day had to cancel business appointments and lost money. Thanks firestone for your lack of planning and your lack of customer service and lack of professionalism.
Fast & effective service! Thank you!
Really good service. I had something in my tire and it needed to be replaced. Since I had road hazard they prorated the cost of the tire from $180 to $68, installed it and rotated the tires. My only concern is when I bought the original tires, the road hazard was $7 each. They charged me $24 for road hazard for only one tire. When I questioned the manager he said I was charged the employee cost on the original tires but $24 is the usual price.
I drop off my car yesterday at 5:30pm for flat repair under hazard protection that I bought with the tires a year ago. Inuse green foam to inflate my tire to drive to Firestone. They told me no repair possible after use the foam. We agreed to order the new tire and pay the difference (50%). They told me the car will be ready by 8am. I stopped by to pick up my car this morning at 8am but they did not know anything about ir. Tjey did not order the tire yesterday. Now I have to take ride to work and take an Uber back to Firestone this afternoon IF they have my car ready. What happen to customer care?
Very helpful got what I needed and installed. Recommended
First I wasnt going to put a complaint on Google. but I sent this complaint to Firestone on Saturday and on Monday I was told that I would get a call from there manager within 24hours but I still have received anything I have the biggest complaint about Firestone. It was 10p on a Saturday Aug 12 and I still didnt have my tires fixed. I came at 5:30p because one of my tires was flat. This is 5 hours at a tires shop. Unfortunately, it was not repairable so the rep stated it needed to be replaced. So I get the sales pitch to buy four tires and was convince on a set of four tires to purchase that will fit my car. I knew that they needed to be changed soon. I wasnt from New Braunfels I was in on vacation and needed to get back the next day before returning to work. The rep told me that I can get them changed at any firestone if I didnt like the tires before 30k miles, but I had to by four tires to get this deal. The manager left at 630. What was left the sales person and the tech person. I dont the store procedure here but here is what the sales rep said to me. I am going to have put the tires myself because the tech guy has worked on cars all day and he is not going to work on your car because he wants to leave at 7p. I worked as a tech as well before and I will be working on your car but it will have til wait to 7p because I need to return cars back to customers and assist customers as they come in. So, now it is 8p and I am just getting my car finished. There was some problems with losing my cap for my rim and other little small things. That now at 830 I am driving off and realize that my tires are rubbing against my car so they didnt fit. I return to the shop and luckily, I was able to catch the sales guy before he left. I told the rep that the tires were rubbing and something needs to be done. Now the only real option is to put my old tires back on and since he turned off the computer he cant turn it back on or he didnt want to. So was being told by the sales and manager who the sales called by cell phone that I have to wait till Monday to get my money back. I asked how do I know I will get my money back I have to drive to back home that is a 4 hour drive. I was told I simply have to trust them. I dont see how this is good for me; however, they returned it Monday. I just dont understand why no one has called me but I guess Firestone sees that I got my money but the 5 hours I spent on my vacation away from my family doesnt matter.
If I could leave no stars I would. I called on a Friday morning early to find if I dropped off my car by 10am would they be able to get a oil change and tire balance in before the end of the day. The person I spoke to said yes. At 530 I became concerned since I never heard from them. I called was told it wouldnt be ready until the next day sometime. Horrible communication on Firestone part, even more so horrible attitude about lying to a customer. Fyi PLACE ALL REVIEWS ON YELP. COORPRATE will contact you.Firestone customer complaint hotline and chat goes no where fast.
A, they left some bolts loose on my and it broke one of my camber adjusters. I brought it back to them immediately and they blamed it on my ball joints and didnt tell me about the broken adjuster. They told me it was a 5 hour job. I replaced them in my driveway in less than 2 hours. While I was making the repair is when I found out the bolts were loose.B, came in early for alignment was quoted 1 hour wait. 1 hour 30 min later they said it would be another hour.C, as an x mechanic I understand that a lifetime alignment lowers their daily ticket average and the bosses dont like that. All auto shops make a practice of overbilling for labor.D, As a handicap person I was offended when I was told I couldnt park in the handicap space even though I have proper tags and placard.E, I originally did business with firestone in San Antonio. This place is incoviently located, dirty bathrooms, poor parking.UPDATE!! I noticed today there was no test drive performed after the alignment was complete. The drive home was worse than when I brought it in. Upon my own inspection at home I noticed the camber was so far out of whack it had to be done either on purpose or their just plain incompetent.USE AT YOUR OWN PERIL!!
