Ricky, Damon, Leo, and Tyler took car of me. I love how friendly and professional they were. They made sure to walk me through everything that they were doing and asked if I wanted to change out anything. Damon checked my cabin filter and I’m glad that he did because it was a mess! The staff at Take 5 is always amazing. They provide water if needed. Also. We had a brand new car with 706 miles on it. Wanted to get an oil change. They made sure that is what we wanted. I love the atmosphere every time I go I know I will get top notch customer service.

There was a bit of a wait but I didnt mind. The Manger was nice and the service was fast. I also really appreciated that if something could wait till next oil change theyd let me know instead of trying to upsell me when it wasnt necessary. Would recommend and will be back.

Dont know how these people put 5 stars, this will be the last time I use this shop. Always have a look on their face like your bothering them. 10 minute oil change is a false statement, never get out of there in less than 20 or 30 minutes. Been in the lube business for many years in management, with these attitudes I would fire everyone and look for people who like their job. From the looks of it, that has happened here, always new faces, been coming here over 3 years, will not be back, will start using your competition.

The staff here are amazing. I came in 15 minutes before closing needing an oil change and my front tire was very flat. They noticed it had a hole in it and one of the amazing staff members offered to put a plug in it that he had in his truck. After he messed with the tire for half an hour, he realized it couldn’t be plugged because there were 2 holes and then put my spare on for me, free of charge. Even though they close at 7, they stayed open for almost an hour just to make sure I got home safe. I 100% recommend coming here, the staff is extremely kind and very professional.

It took over an hour and a half to move up 2 cars and get in the stall. No apologies or explanation. Slowest location Ive been to.

There were 2 cars ahead of me and I waited 2 hours for an inspection. Wasnt told why it was taking so long or offered water. Just stuck with the car behind me and had to wait. When we finally asked what was taking so long they said the car in front needed a n oil filter that they had to order and thats why it took so long. No apologies or offer to make it better. Will NOT go back for any reason and wouldnt recommend it either.

This place is a monumental waste of time. Ive had my oil changed here before and even then it was slow, but at least they got the job done. Today I arrived to find a two-car line ahead of me; I figured that they promise 10 minute oil changes so 2 cars is only a 20 minute wait, no problem. While I was waiting, somebody came out to see what car Im in, I told him what oil I wanted, and he pulled me up to a lane. A full hour later (which means that you should actually expect 30 minutes per car), I get to the front of the line where the tech tries to up upsell me on a synthetic oil filter which is absolutely not a thing, at least not for my car. He then tells me that they actually dont have ANY oil filters for my car, despite that somebody came to check my car out a full hour earlier and didnt mention anything of the sort. Now Im out an hour of my life and I still dont have my oil changed, thanks for nothing Take 5.

Utterly disgusted. There was a rep who came to me and told me that they have to refused service because they didn’t want to work on my car. they said by the time they got to me they would be closed and said to COME BACK ANOTHER DAY!!! I’ve literally showed up at 5:30 before and never had this issue so it’s obvious my business is not important considering I go there every time to get my oil changed done. I will never come back here again. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Disgusting unprofessionals and should be held accountable with the kind of treatment for they give to consistent customers.

Good service, I take my service truck here everytime

When i drove up there were 3 vehicles in front of me, i thought great this is going to take forever .I WAS SO IMPRESSED, I left 25mins later! I always wait at least and hour if not more at other places especially Walmart. These guys were so knowledgeable, fast and efficient! The guys were so friendly, communicated well and were timely. THANKS Guys!

The guys here are super quick and get the job done every time! The manager Jack will always be attentive and take care of whatever your needs are with your vehicle no matter what it needs. Been using Take 5 for years so it will always be a first choice!

Update this year 2021. Five times I went for a safety inspection and they never had time for the person there to do it I went down at 7:25 and got it done in 20 minutes.#######%%%%%%%%%%%%%%Last year 2020I went there for my safety inspection. My big fear is covid due to my health. They kept me safe and comfortable about the whole process. Then he asked about an oil change. Oh my I was way past due. They did all I mean all the filters I didnt even know about and the oil quickly and with my safety in mind. God Bless them.

Great experience! Just had the state inspection done here. The only negative was that they were super busy so I was there for about 40 minutes but they did bring me a bottle of water.

The longest I’ve waited at a Take 5, definitely should’ve just gone to the dealership, waited 45mins. Understaffed and the workers didn’t seem to be worried that every bay had a vehicle waiting to be serviced with a line behind most. Just a bad day at this location and they also ran out of water

Sat at bay door for 15 min. Several workers walked past without a greeting or explanation of wait time. Seemed to be under staffed as they had two vehicles in the bay but were only addressing one vehicle at a time. This has been a reoccurring theme at my visits to this location. There is an obvious need for improved efficiency as theres also very often several workers standing around and/or multiple people performing a single person task - an example of this was today I witnessed 4 people standing at the driver door of a vehicle as one person pitched the need for an air filter. Seems its time for me to find a more customer centered oil change company.

Mikey is fabulous. The entire crew is so so kind! They do safety checks and will top it off and check your tire pressure for free! We always come here and they always have coupons online. Highly highly recommend this amazing shop! They are extremely fast and any reviews that say they aren’t must’ve come on an off day!

I just moved in new Braunfels needed my inspection done this place was the closest to me pull in sat there for 15 minutes never got greeted other cars pulled in they get greeted guy never told me anything and as I’m pulling out I never even got acknowledged and I’m like holding my hands up like hey what about me and I was totally blown off I will never ever take my car here for inspection or I will change you can bet on that. Am inspection takes 5 minutes. Ridiculous.

Says 10 minute so I gave them benefit of doubt. Saw two cars already in line ahead of me leave so I wondered. I sat there for 30 minutes and no one moved and there was still a car in front of me so I left also and went to penzoil just up the road. In and out in 10 minutes as advertised.

Took a long time because they were undermanned, but that did not affect their professionalism. Also gives the best military discount ever!

I never leave reviews but they impressed me. We have used take 5 for a while and it has always been a food oil change place but this past time was different. Mickey was very good as my tech(as usual) but seeing Mike the manager engaging in the quality of work was amazing. Doing a safety check and coming over to each car and physically checking the work was amazing to me. You rarely see management getting involved and working along side of staff very often. I really was impressed at the quality and attention they gave me. Thank you take 5!! 5 stars

They can use a better order system. People would show up after someone else was there waiting and get oil changed first.

I am not one to leave complaints but this was rediculous. I was told to park and wait to get a car inspection. There were seberal in front if me and i was ok with that. But after the last one left i waited 15 minutes with no one approaching me. Finally i asked if i was going to get help. I was told sorry we are short handed and that i might as well go somewhere else. I get the short handed thing but to just be ignored. Pretty sad.

Jack took care of my girlfriend’s car when it overheated and we were having coolant issues. He made sure to check everything and spent a solid 20 minutes trying to figure out the issue. Ultimately turned out to be a fan/electrical problem but I’m confident he did everything within in power to help us out. I would 100% recommend this shop, they will take care of you!

Usually I come here all the time to get my oil changed but not anymore. I had heard the workers say to reverse so I did. However he had asked to turn off my engine which I just didn’t hear. Then one of the workers rudely asked me, a customer, what happened while giving me attitude. I explained I couldn’t hear him. Then a minute later I over hear a co worker saying “watch out lady watch out” mocking me while others laughed with him. Very disappointed in the way they treated me as a customer.

I’ve used them several times for oil changes, & I like their fast, friendly service & ability to just stay in your car while they do the work. This time, though, just got a state inspection, for which I had to park & go inside. But again, service was fast & staff was friendly as always.

I’ve always received very good service once I finally get into a bay and staff are able to actually work on the vehicles I bring in. But for the life of me I don’t know why they call it Take 5, because I’ve never gotten service anywhere near that time. It’s more like 20+ minutes; no joke. On my latest visit, staff fixed issues with their computer records not showing my acct or any past visits. I am grateful for the Military discount they offer, and I will be a future customer.

They were really fast and kind. The guys at the drive up were super sweet. If it was reasonable i would definitely make it my all the time stop, but they really cost too much. $70 for an oil change is just too much.

This place is Great! They have worker’s that attend to specific areas of your car while the technician below is in the bay removing your oil. Everyone is in sync, friendly, and fast. Jacob was my initial contact when I drove in and explained the process while I waited in my car. Very knowledgeable. Definitely going back.

Received a nice cold bottle of water upon my arrival. Got to stay in car and I feel they did a good job on my oil change. Both men that spoke to me were very polite and friendly. I will definitely use Take 5 again. I live in San Marcos and will probably try the location closest to my home next time.

I was recommended Take 5 Oil Change and was not disappointed. The fact that I’m putting up a review, says something cause normally I don’t. My attendant suggested that I use Castrol GTX due to my mileage which is 94,389. He then stated that he would take care of checking all other fluids, any leaks, filters and with no time wasted he also checked my air pressure to my tires. I have to admit I’ve gone to certain places that have given me the distraught of satisfaction, but not Take 5 Oil Change. Great facility, offered a bottle of water as I wait patiently. This in my eyes has been a wonderful experience and I will be returning. A Thank you goes To all the employees doing the hard work/job that y’all do, to keep everything and everyone satisfied.

My experience with take 5 was great! The attendant I met when I arrived was so kind, polite and professional. I used the quick lane so I was able to stay in my car while the oil change and vehicle inspection were completed. Everyone that I encountered was polite, professional and helpful. I also loved the coupon so I will be back.

This was the first time my vehicle’s oil change was not done by a dealer. The guy knew the type of oil needed for my car and told me what to expect. He also didn’t try to sell me on service and parts I didn’t need. I appreciated the personal attention to my whole visit.

This place is awesome!!, I went in this past Sunday because I needed a vehicle inspection for my car registration. As soon as I pull up, I tell them I need a vehicle inspection, the Take 5 service technician tells me no problem they can do that.The Technician gives me a bottle water (which is beyond awesome for customer service!!, never had a technician at any auto service repair center before coming to Take 5 give me bottle water) and tells me to wait.The service technicians who helped me were Jack, John and Lawrence... they were all awesome with their customer service. They had me in and out within 20 minutes. If you need your car serviced, looked at or need a vehicle inspection come to these guys they will take care of you. John, Jack and Lawrence thank you guys for your outstanding customer service!!, you guys have now made me a regular customer!!.

Too slow but friendly service

They where nice and respectful. Checked all areas when oil change was done and showed me what was bad so I can see it with my own eyes and I didnt have to ask. They had a promotion going on and they still worked with my military discount to find out which would give me the better deal! They were helpful questions and would go back to this location always! Keep up the good work with people we are missing that in todays society.

Love this place!!!!! Great service, friendly and not pushy like some places. They even offered a discount for replacing both my filters and I didn’t feel pressured at all. Will definitely be a return customer!

These people are great! Always courteous! Theyre never dismissive of what their customers ask of them or questions they might have. The oil changes are very quick and efficient (not always the case at some places). Theyre an inspection station, so you might want to call ahead and see if they have availability or if theyre too busy at that time of the day.

Great service, they went out of there way to check fluids. I went only for windshield.
