Tina was back at it again! I love this place! I get the best service, nail art, and lots of laughs!I’m super impressed because I booked my appointment at the end of the day and Tina always gives me the best pedicure with fun new nail art every time but it meant we were running past close when we got to my nails. But she finished my nails (despite everyone leaving and heading to dinner) and they are gorgeous! I’ve been getting compliments all week and my toes are perfectly in theme for the 4th of July party I’m headed to this weekend!All I have to say is there is a reason I drive 40 minutes to see Tina at Luminous!

I am a very satisfied customer!!! This was my first time at this salon and I had a great experience. Peter and his wife Cat are a GREAT team. So friendly and professional. Peter did my pedicure and his wife did my manicure. They both look amazing. I liked the atmosphere of this place. Walking distance from where I live. When you go, make sure to request Peter and Cat.

I had an amazing experience here! This is the second time I’ve gone to this location and it has proved to be worth the 40+ minute drive. Tina was super friendly and gave me the exact manicure I wanted. She always made sure to check in with me throughout the process which is sounds small but was very reassuring.She also gave me the best pedicure that I’ve had in a while! I got the green tea deluxe which is completely worth the expense. She gave me a beautiful ombré sparkle on my big toe because she noticed how much I loved it on my finger nails.Will definitely be returning here! 100/10 recommend!

Just moved to the area and was looking for a new place to go to.. found this one had pretty good reviews, so I tried it out! It was super busy, but the guy who took care of me spent his time and I love my nails! Great place, just probably don’t go around 4-5

I went in for a dip removal on nails, gel polish to nails and pedicure. So initially visit started with drill being used on my nails and acetone wrap applied and plastic gloves put on both hands. Pedicure was nice. However, gloves were left on my hands for a pedicure that went on for 1 1/2 hours. My skin was starting to feel super irritated. When the person doing my nails came to get me from pedicure for my gel nails the first thing she said was “oh my goodness they shouldn’t have left this on so long….but was the pedicure nice”?!?! Yes, the pedicure was nice. But I now have the skin peeling off the top portion of my fingers. Not to mention I paid $150 for a decent pedicure and literally my skin peeling off the top of majority of my fingers. Will not go back. Ever.

The tech I had, as you can see, did not smooth the edges of my nails, nicked me multiple times, and the polish job was very lumpy even after asking him twice to smooth it out and he continued as if he didnt know what I meant. No thank you Luminous.

I had an acrylic set of nails done by Lamchop. And just WOW! I’ve been getting my nails done for 15 years and he’s the best I’ve ever been to. My nails are shaped to perfection. He’s the best in the business. Going to him always now.

I am extremely disappointed with luminous nail bar. I have been a customer for the past 6 months and have never had a bad experience until today. The lady doing my nails rushed through the service because her friend walked through the door to get a manicure. My pedicure was very sloppy. There is nail polish all over my nail beds and the nail color appears to be very clumpy. I also asked for my gel nail polish to be removed. She left the acetone sitting on my nails for 30 + minutes while she was doing her friend’s daughters nails. When she eventually took the old gel polish off, she did not buff my fingernail beds, leaving my nail beds completely scuffed up. I am very disappointed I paid for this service. I will not be returning.

Upon my FIRST visit in June, those who paid my nails were very nice. I called ahead to inquire about their wait-time & prices to ensure their website was accurate. I spoke with Lambchop & he was so kind & made a appointment for me within 5mins. I arrived at 2:45p, checked in and washed my hands. From what I could see, the salon was clean & had signs posted recommending safety practices. I waited about 15-20mins, which was understandable since it was Memorial Day weekend and the salon was a little understaffed. Ms. Mary did my gel pedicure($55) & Ms.Tina did dip powder on my natural nails($60), I also added tips on their receipts. They seemed very professional & efficient. This was my first nail salon visit in almost 16months so I was a bit nervous but I love my nails & will definitely return soon!!!My second visit was to get a get pedicure, done by Peter, I had to almost beg him to show me more of their gel colors, and settled for a swatch that looked like what I wanted but the once I got home I could see that it was not at all what I wanted, the lighting/swatches are very deceptive. So I went back the very next day to try again, thankfully they only charged me for color change($25 & I also Venmo’d him a separate tip). Unfortunately, Peter filed—without soaking—the gel off my toes & was so rough that my toenails were weak & less than a week & a half later the toenails that I’ve maintained health/length for the last year & a half while not going into a nail salon were breaking into short stubs one by one.My third visit was fine, I WANTED gel as I feel it would be healthier for my nails to grow strong but Lambchop insisted dip powder is better & healthier, idk how true this is considering thy use the unsanitary way of community dipping everyone’s fingers in the same jars of color instead of sprinkling the powder or using a separate jar & disposing of the left over/contaminated powder. But I only asked for a color change, by this time, I realized they don’t do the massage or hot wax on your hands like I’m used to when getting a “manicure” back home at Vo’s. I showed a pic for a design on 2 fingers per hand. Lambchop said he could do the design with a gel color & a skinny paint brush. They turned out nice & I almost wished I’d gotten more fingers done. He told me $75 & I Venmo’d him a tip.Unfortunately, I probably won’t be returning after my fourth visit yesterday. I went in for a new color & I didn’t have to wait too long but I did see a roach run under the counter while I waited, so Idk about the overall cleanliness... I asked for gel but AGAIN Lambchop insisted the dip powder would be better, I honestly get the feeling they push dip to charge more... I had a pic with a new “design” which we went back & forth about because he could not get the dip base color right. The owner’s wife and another guy kept talking to him & coming to look at my nails. The guy was very interested but I could tell the lady had an attitude that Lambchop was doing a design for me & sucked her teeth & spoke in their language to him when she walked by, not once did she say anything to me. I could make out “gel,” “dip” & “design” so I knew she was fussing about my nails to him. Classy looking lady, but nasty attitude. He told me $80 & that’s when I KNEW they had told him to charge more. Granted there’s a small design on all fingers, I’d hardly say it’s worth $80, He did dip on my natural nails, painted the design & a gel top coat (of-which I did not ask for) he could have as easily dried the paint & then done a clear dip top coat, plus there was resin & gel left under most of my nails making them look messy.Not sure why the prices fluctuated so much because “the math is just not mathing,” but they absolutely need to be more transparent especially for the quality of service & get some pest control ASAP.Pics attached of the designs that I asked for vs. what I got, respectively—minus my first trip as it was just a trial run to test their service & minus my pedicure as I’m at too embarrassed of these broken stubs :(

I have had two techs there, Lam and Lee and they are both fantastic!! It is a little on the pricey side- but absolutely amazing quality! They really take their time and spend time connecting with their guests rather than just speeding through to get a buck. Would absolutely recommend anyone in the Nashville area to come here!

Why are the male nail techs always terrible? I went in as a new customer for a gel manicure with simple nail art and a pedicure. Peter was like a 19 year old virgin: rough, rushed me and didn’t listen. The place was empty. He cut me with the cuticle scissors and then denied it! He also reeked of cigarette smoke. I told him not to bother with the nail art, I doubt he had the patience not to screw it up. Then he had the nerve to act offended I tipped less than 20%. Go somewhere else. The color selection was also lacking.

I went here yesterday with my sister. The atmosphere and prices were nice, but while Lambchop did a great job on my sister’s nails, I was less lucky with my nail technician. He was very rough during the whole process of doing my dip nails. While I probably could have spoke up for myself, I don’t think it’s normal to leave with all bleeding cuticles. I didn’t think it was that bad until the next day when the bleeding spots started scarring ):My advice would be to make an appointment with a specific technician, and make sure that’s who you get when you check in!

My Best friend and I went here after luminous was highly recommended to us by sorority sisters. We called and made an appointment. We were seen 30minutes after our appointment start time. We started with pedicures and our toes look great! However our dip nails where so bad we had to pay another salon 2 days later to fix them. My friend nails where cracked hours after getting them done and mine had groves and brush strokes in them from poor application. We are unsure if they where to busy to do the job right or they just didn’t have the right training and experience. Not only did they look bad but our nails are damaged from this experience.

Tina was amazing! as I have severe arthritis. I was visiting Nashville, and had recently had my nails done at another shop in Alabama. In less than 6 days they were lifting, and very badly shaped. They looked like press on nails.Tina reshaped, and refilled my nails. She was patient, as I have severe arthritis. My nails look amazing. She definitely has an eye for details. I wish I lived here!! The salon is beautiful, clean and they take time with each client. I will definitely recommend you!!

I went in for a polish change but I wish I wouldnt have. It was my first visit so I wasnt aware of the cost for such service. $18 for a standard (sub-par) polish change is crazy. Its been 10 days & its about time for another polish change. Oh, and the guy that did my polish change was about to start on another customer w/o changing his gloves. I politely told the lady to ask him to change them when he overheard the word gloves & went to take them off. (I spoke up because I would want someone to tell me as well.)

This place is by far the most clean and caring nail salon in Nashville, and trust me I’ve been to A LOT. The owners go above and beyond for their customers & always do an amazing job! Their color selection is great! Jenny and Lam Chop are THE BEST. Don’t let the negative comments discourage you, try this place out for yourself first! They have so many regulars & nails last forever!!

I usually never write poor reviews but Ive never had worse service. I waited an hour (even though I had an appointment). My station had the dirty towel with dead skin from the previous person. My session was so rushed. The lady didnt ask me how I wanted my nails done at all. I asked her not to clip them and only file. She looked at me and proceeded to clip them. I also got a different color than what I asked for. All around probably the worst mani Ive ever had. Will not be going back.

Overall service is always good. They just never seem to have enough people working. Dont go if youre in a rush but otherwise a very good nail salon with quality service and fair prices. Dont bother booking online ahead of time it doesnt seem to make a difference.

I made an appointment, but that didn’t seem to matter. The staff was extremely busy. The women doing my nails was also working on two other clients at the same time, so I didn’t feel like I was getting good service. I also didn’t get exactly what I wanted because the lady doing my nails didn’t even ask how I wanted them done.Also, my nail tech was criticizing the tech working next to her the entire time. It was annoying to listen to.

Excellent mani/pedi and foot massage.Customer service was on point, facility is really beautiful, and honestly I had an all around amazing experience. I hate that I am just in town visiting; this would be my new go-to nail salon without a doubt.

Excellent service! Best pedicure I’ve ever had. My technician, Amy took her time and was thorough! I didn’t feel like she was rushing to get to the next client which was awesome. A basic pedicure is a little on the high side at $35 a pop, but the level of service left nothing to desire. I will definitely be back!

SNS Nails are prefect. Pedicure felt amazing but polish wasnt great. Overall, happy to find this place after a year in this area. They really care about their customers.

They took advantage of my fiancé. She came home crying after getter her nails done here.She has been trying to learn how to do nails so she has been doing her own but today she wanted to treat herself. They told her that her nails looked terrible and made her pay an extra $10 to take them off because they weren’t professionally done.Then before they finished her nails they made her tip them or they wouldn’t finish her nails.She came home crying. This is disrespectful and a terrible establishment. And I will be talking to the owner for an apology and a refund.

The first few times I went to this salon over the past year I got a gel manicure and was very pleased with the service. I feel like the quality has decreased and price has increased since - I got a pedicure and gel manicure during one appointment. The lights when out and my pedicure was finished using the nail techs phone light. There was also a puppy in the salon who bit and walked away with my shoe several times and lost one of my socks while I got my manicure. I was still charged full price!! Completely unprofessional. The last time I got a gel manicure it peeled completely off within 5 days. Very unimpressed and super bummed because I thought I found my new go-to salon in the area. I could always easily get a walk-in appointment, but you take your chances on the quality of your service depending on your nail tech.

Thank you to Tina and Uncle Lee for helping me with fixing up my nails today. They did a FANTASTIC job with me and were extremely attentive and willing to do what was necessary to make my experience positive. Even though I don’t like the management or the customer service she provided, I would see Tina or Lee again and if they were to ever leave Luminous I follow both of them.

They did a fantastic job on me and my moms feet. Our feet were bad looking when we arrived. They didnt pass judgment on how our feet look they just got to work on them and they look fantastic when they got done.We were happy and satisfied. I gave them a $10.00 tip.

They accommodated our group os 6 same day. The hot towels were great and the massage chairs were lovely. The mani/pedis were great and had a nice color selection. The decor was pretty and I loved the bar feel. Peter was especially great! It made for a nice relaxing oasis on our vacation.

I got dipped nails today’s and I honestly love them! The color is cute and it was way easier than getting acrylics. The girl that did my nails did cut my pinky finger real good, but she was really nice about it when it and apologized for it. I would definitely go again!

Ive had several pedicures here and the last 2 times were really disappointing. I had the same gentleman both times and I felt like an inconvenience both times. I came with a friend the second time and he started and finished in 10 minutes flat. My friend was with someone else and finished a solid 15-20 minutes after me. He asked if I wanted my nails done too and I declined. I feel like he was upset about that so barely took any time at all. I doubt Ill be back.

I have been here in the past and really enjoyed it but today was a different experience. I stood by the front desk without even being addressed for almost 15 minutes and still felt completely ignored when I was sat.. I’ve gotten just a polish change and gel polish at a few places in town and it is usually around $40, at most- it was $52 before tip with a normal polish change on toes and a gel polish change (no mani or pedi) on my nails.. just seems very pricey.

I went in to have my dip set (done elsewhere) soaked off and a new dip applied. The person that done my previous set applied too much powder which caused me to have to sit for over a hour to soak them off. Ral Le did an amazing job on my new set. She was patient didn’t complain was very professional. This was my first visit but won’t be my last.

They are over priced for their services. Approx $10 more than what I usually pay. The nail tech did a great job cleaning up my cuticles and took her time, but application of the gel polish was a bit sloppy (especially near cuticles) and rushed. I didnt get the typical hand massage either.I was impressed with the selection of colors, and everyone was friendly.

This is my go to nail salon for pedicures. Always great service. Bright and clean.

Great service but three days later the gel polish on my fingers started peeling in three places. Not very well done and can’t recommend.

Very clean and workers were friendly. We got there early and they let us sit even though they werent open yet. The reason I didnt rate higher is my toes were painted terribly. I could have done a much better job if I had done them myself.

I gave them 2 chances. And they both were terrible. The owner confused an olived toned woman as being Hispanic and started speaking Spanish to her. She said she never spoke Spanish a day in her life in the most serious tone because she was offended. Extremely unprofessional

I was extremely disappointed I wasn’t told the price until they ran my card for $150. The guy said something about $90 prior.I was a first time customer which should mean lots of communication. My nails look bleh, they’re peeling off. The nail polish they use is super cheap- you gotta invest in your own product!!They also had me there for almost 3 hours. They also weren’t going to do a manicure on my nails just switch polish when I made an appointment for a manicure.

So much better than the last two places I went to in Nashville. The environment is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The chair I sat in for the pedicure was really nice. My polish looks great. Getting my nails done in gel was super fast. That polish looks awesome. I’m glad I checked the reviews. I traveled a little bit farther and got the best service ever for me. Considering I just started doing stuff like this. The ratings and reviews are what took me there, thanks y’all. It was definitely worth my time and money.

Not at all happy with this place. We booked a reservation for 3 people 1 month before and still didn’t get our nails started at the same time. We were in there from 5-7:50 on a calm Friday night. I was charged $145 for a mani pedi which is absolutely ridiculous in the first place and my nails were absolutely messy. One lady tried to write her own tip on a reciept and my friend said oh no. Absolutely no happy. DO NOT GO HERE

My sisters and me went to get mani pedi and had a great experience. There was lots of staff, we had an appointment and got in immediately. They had an amazing color selection and I was happy with the service. My tech was danny and he was very friendly and my nails turned out so great. I had a mani/pedi today. We visited this nail salon with a full wedding party. I have bruises on my shins from the massage with my pedicure. I thought the issue was just my mail tech but every girl in the party said the massage was painful!! All the nails on my left hand are crooked, my natural nail with dip but they filed them crooked!!

I will not go back here. I was charged $70 for the worst dip Ive ever received. I told the tech 3 times I wanted a matte nail and she still put on a top coat shine. They are extremely crooked as well. Way overpriced!!!

I love that I was able to get a same day appointment at the time of my choosing! I needed five week old hard gel cleaned off of my nails. They talked me through the best options for my nails post-removal, and we decided on dip. I was impressed by how thin it was and how beautifully they shaped my nails. This is my second visit here, and I think I’ve found my go-to.

Scheduled an appointment for 12pm for pedicures and manicures and they had us sitting in a pedicure chair waiting for an hour. Had us sitting with our feet soaking to the point that they shriveled. No sense of urgency to ensure we were seen at our appointment time.

Absolutely had the best time! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating to our large party! Thank you for making everyone and especially the bride to be feel like queens for the day! I will definitely be visiting again!

I requested a white, gel, acrylic full set. Literally after 3 days the nail color started turning brown... When I went back to get this fixed they then tried to charge me for color change! I wouldnt even have needed a color change if the color was put on right the first time. Also the man who did my nails was RUSHING. Terrible service. I wont be back. Nor do I recommend.

We scheduled a reservation for 4:45 for 3 girls. They didn’t start any of our mani/pedi’s until almost 6:00. The owner continually grabbed my hand and yanked itaround while doing my nails. Customer service is horrible.

If I could give zero stars I would have. Went to get a manicure with a gel polish. The man wanted to use the electric grinder. I told him I dont like the electric grinder used. He kept saying its faster. Its faster. I dont care if it faster. I am the consumer. He did attempt to do it manually but did an awful job. I left after the manicure was over. ( No new polish, not even clear. When I got to the parking lot I could still see residue on my nails

Went in for dip manicure and tips and it came off within 10 days of getting it done. I spent $70. Came back to get it fixed and they charged me.

The prices are a bit high but the experience was amazing.

Best nail salon I’ve been to in a long time! The entire staff was superb every step of the way (even making the appointment). The technicians were the most detail oriented I have ever had and made sure everything was immaculate. Zero complaints. Will only be coming here from now on!

HORRIBLE SERVICE. HORRIBLE ATTITUDE FROM OWNERS. NOT WORTH ONE PENNY!!!!I came in asking for shellac and the lady threw dip on (charging me 30 more dollars), the next day they cracked and I called to come and get them fixed. I was told to come at 4:30 pm and waited over an hour to get them fixed. I then asked if we could just take them off and get a refund and they said no they want money. Aka this establishment doesn’t care about the customers at ALL and look at you like a walking dollar bill. 1000000/10 do not reccomend. Save your money!!!

The nail tech that did my nails did a wonderful job!the owners wife came over asking me what color I wanted on my nails. She chose a lilac and I said I would like the lilac if I get my nails done in lilac. I was so busy trying to pick out my nail colors I did not notice that the nail tech have painted my toes lilac which did not match the color of my nails. I wanted my nails to match from top to bottom. When I called back to discuss it with them because I didnt notice it until I had gotten home they wanted to charge me $17 repainting my toes even after I explained that I was just in there a couple of days ago and I heard another customer in the store complaining about the same thing. So watch your toes!

I’ve been to this nail salon a few times now and the last two times have been extremely unprofessional. The first negative experience I had, I had booked an appt for a standard acrylic set. Once I got to the salon, they swapped out my nail tech 3 separate times because each person they sat me with had no idea what I was talking about when they asked me what I was getting done. Finally a fourth nail tech came over and asked me again what I was wanting and she finally sat down with me and did my full set. My second experience happened today, I made an appt to come into the salon at 10 AM. I got to the salon, checked in, and was sat down. I waited for a few minutes then one of the nail techs asked if I had an appt and what I was there to get. He then said no one was going to be available for me until 2 hours later at 12 PM because “they all went to a party last night and didn’t show up for work today.” Ultimately, this salon is extremely unprofessional, untimely, careless, and irresponsible.

There was no wait when I got there, so I signed in and was immediately seated in a pedicure chair. They have a great polish selection, and I was able to quickly pick out both the color for my feet and the dip powder for my hands. I could tell the guy that did my feet was new, but he did a good job. He was very careful and neat and toes look great. My manicure and dip were done by Lamb Chop (I think that was his name). And this is, hands-down, the best dip application Ive ever had! I dont usually like it that much because of how thick it looks. But my nails still look and feel very natural. I love it! I live an hour away, but Ill definitely be back!

They were absolutely amazing!!!! We had a Bachelorette party and our original plans canceled on us and they accommodated our party with no issues!!! I definitely will come back here every time we are in nashville!!! Plus my nails look amazing!!!!

STAY AWAY! My sister bought a nail certificate for me for $50.00 last December 2018. It expires in one year. I was told I was not allowed to use my certificate because the person at their salon who wrote me my certificate committed an error on one of the numbers in the date. How is that the customers fault? This business is scamming customers for their money!!!! They are basically stealing $50.00 from our pockets for an error they committed. Can I report this business to BBB? Any advice will be appreciated!

I feel that this place is excellent. very nice nail technicians. great service! They did great with my nails. I didn’t have to tell him to fix anything, very great. Prices may be a little higher than normal but you’ll live it.

Best manicure and pedicure ever! Its hard to find a good nail salon in Nashville, and after two years of trying, I gave Luminous a try. There was no wait, the place is nice and clean, and the service was top-notch. My technician, Hannah, was super sweet and thorough. Couldnt have asked for a more relaxing afternoon!
