I HAD SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION, RECEIVED AN PHONE CALL FROM OFFICE STAFF SAYING I COULD COME IN SO I WENT & WHEN I GET THERE, THERES 3 STAFF: 1) TALKING TO ANOTHER TENANT IN OFFICE 2) PRETENDING TO BE BUSY 3) STAFF OUTSIDE TALKING ON HER CELLPHONE.. & YET I WAS TOLD TO COME BACK DUE TO “low staff”, I RETURN ON THE NEXT DAY AT MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME JUST TO FIND THE BLINDS CLOSED & THAT THE OFFICE WAS CLOSED. I FIND THIS SO DISTURBING KNOWING THE FACT I LEFT WORK TO MAKE IT TO AN APPOINTMENT BUT COULDNT BE SEEN! OH NOT TO MENTION I CALLED THE OFFICE & LEFT A VOICEMAIL AS I SAT OUTSIDE IN MY CAR, HIGHLY UPSET!! NOBODY HAS YET TO RETURN MY CALL TO FOLLOW UP OR ANYTHING! IT SHOWS NOBODY CARES!! JUST SAD!! POOR COMMUNICATION & CLEARY POOR STAFF!!!

Honestly make this a transition apartment for you. sign a 1 year lease and deal with it to get back on your feet. dont stay here. im living here and miserable. there are bugs everywhere and i never had them and my neighbor has mold so bad they have been sick on and off for months. the office manaer amy does not care and the engineers here dont do anything in your apartment. i fixed most of my own stuff. i moved in during covid and they basically sold me a lemon. im thankful to have a roof over my heaed but the living conditions are bad. this is basicly the projects.

Poor service, Unprofessional management.Called office several times for kitchen light and toilet Continue running water. Not fixed. They keep changing light bulb in the kitchen after 24 hours the light mom goes dark I keep telling them that they need the whole kitchen fixture but they don’t believe me. The maintenance technician was rude. When he was going out of the apartment I told him thank you he didn’t even speak to me

This place is dangerous. I would not suggest or recommend anyone living here. I was robbed at gunpoint friday night in front of building 7. And the place looks like an overall dump. Stay away.

I used to live in these Apartments in 1997. They have really changed! They arent any longer aesthetically nice. Plus, they have bug issues, inside the units.

Very clean and spacious apartments. They are pet friendly and they have a pool. I don’t know much about the pricing because I was only a guest over there. From what I seen though they are some great apartments.

I love my apartment, and the staff is nice, however I have a major issue: I have an obsession with swimming all summer. The last apartments I was in prior to this, one year they opened the pool in April and the next year in mid-June, claiming the pool needed repairs. I was so upset that I moved to Whispering Oaks instead of renewing my lease. When I went to look over the apartments I told them rather strongly why I was moving and why it was so very important to me. I was told they open the pool Memorial Day. Now, May 23rd, they tell me the pools, BOTH pools, need major repair and they wont be opening them this summer at all. I do not get it, the pools should have been checked and repaired over the winter and early spring but no they waited until the middle of May. I also do not understand how it could take three months to fix at least one of the pools when you can install a new pool in a week or two.I got a very dismissive answer like it wasnt a big deal but to me it is. Im a bit older, 66, and overweight but in a pool I can really exercise. I swim 3 hours a day, no lie, and feel great with no pressure on my joints. For me, its a health issue. My bathing suits have been out and ready for 5 weeks. Plus the amenities here are not so great. Im used to having a business office for the tenants, which we do not have, and an exercise room (especially since I wont get to swim), which we do not have, and a mail box for every building instead of the long hike to one box. I am okay with the inspections but really have never had to go through such a thing before and I cant help thinking: what are we children?

The staff appeared nice but tried to put me in to an apt. That was not what I needed in or to accommodate my physical disabilities needs, tried to lock me into a one year lease and wouldnt put me on a waiting list for one that would be more accessible . They required the 250dollar deposit up front on an apt that wasnt even available yet before my application was approved, stating that if I dont like or want it I wouldnt get my deposit back, well that really meant that they could approve my application and then show me any dump hole they choose. Then when I say no they could just keep my money, or if I were to say yes they could simply rent for now but evict me any time after I actually move in. They apt places like this do this to people like me that are on government assistance Basically they screw you over

I adore this complex. Ive never been treated as much like a real human being by any landlord Ive ever had in 32 yrs of being in my own as the Whispering Oaks has. Maintenance is awesome. Takes a minute yes but theres 500 apts here so patience is a virtue! Anyone who says anything bad or Derogatory against this complex or its staff....are liars! And not the Pretty Little kind. Ball face liars.! all done.

Pools never open like most other pools. Its almost July and neither is open. Same story last year. When it is open they make you come to office to get pool pass, which is all fine until you work during all office hours. Always towing residents car. Nearly impossible to get another parking pass. Security is nice though and makes themself availableif needed and maintenance team responds usually pretty quick.

Its clean outside on the property they have some washer and dryer hookup in the apartments there on a bus stop plus they take section 8 and i think the people that works there in the office are nice and kind and they attend to your needs

Went in 2 weeks ago to try to put an application in, get handed a date for 2 weeks later. Ok fine theyre busy. Get there to do the application, 10 minutes in, get denied before they even put in the application in, $200 too much for myself and my daughter, wanted to put someone else on the application but nope, walk back in to them talking bad about me and to be told take a seat after calling me a liar. Thieves still charged me an application fee and not even filling an application. As soon as they swiped my card I was told I was denied. Be very wary of this scam artist.

I’m just curious about how can you lock a child out who’s 15 years of age with a babysitter because he doesn’t have a key and he is on the lease. My niece was visiting my sister and forgot the key in the apartment so the front office had the door locked and wouldn’t let them in. The front office was very disrespectful, unprofessional, and used a lot of distasteful verb-age about evicting them. I wouldn’t let a dog stay there.....

Management staff is very scummy! Surprised they still have jobs. How they scam people should be illegal, but they have their leasing paper work worded in a very vague way. The ONLY pros to this place is that its a convenient location, affordable and my electric usually was around $30 each month, but you most definitely get what you pay for and even less. The apartment staff seemed really nice when I visited the office my first and second time when signing my lease. After living there for several months, I noticed a pattern with people constantly moving out. My friends cars have been towed because they were not in guest parking... (there is NO marked parking by the way and it is not mentioned at the time of signing the lease nor is it written in the lease. They do a monthly inspection and do not make it known. I worked third shift while living here and mentioned it several times (not trying to inconvenient anyones business hour duties, but rather to help me work around them). They barged in to my studio apartment only knocking once before entering around 10 am. I told them that I was sleeping and they saidoh, it will only take a minute. I would think, It would think it be a reasonable request for them to come back later in the day. After moving out these people have tried charging me anything they could possibly make an extra dollar on. I always leave my apartments spotless when moving out, but please whatever you do, DO NOT leave a pizza box in your refrigerator or you will be charged $50 for a cleaning fee. And DO NOT move out on the weekend after the office closes, because you will be chargeda prorated rent fee for when the office is not open. Which brings me to my next point, they close on random days without letting tenants know.If you have a maintenance issue, physically walk to the office other wise the central office will not put your work order in. I was without a working oven for almost a month and never even got as little as an apology.

When I couldnt get through on the phone, I went into the office to check availability. The woman who I spoke with was extremely rude. I walked out and will not return. If theyre that rude when theyre trying to get new money, I expect horrendous service one I sign a lease.

Nice people and good staff, clean and well maintained, although the amenities are few and what is offered could be updated. Not very much storage area either.

When we moved and the place looks nice and clean after being there one week the carpet had spots all over, was told by someone who cleans carpets that the carpet must have never been replaced just cleaned and when that happens it will look clean for a few days and all the spots will then reappear. not only this one day after taking a shower i had not been out 2 mins just long enough to walk into my room and the ceiln over the shower fell in. we had to call them several times because of the infestation of bugs.so when we got ready to move out after living there a year we were on Section 8 you cant owe a property and be able to move .so when informed the manager that we werent going renew our lease or move to another one of their properties, they approved us to move said we did not owe anything everything was normal wear, and a month later tac on a $501 bill to our credit for the carpet. these people are scumbags scam artist and just an overall crooked company never rent from them. I truely believe that this bill came from us not wanting to rent from them any more.

I would not recommend my worst enemy to live here. The apartments are the size of boxes but prices of houses. Also, the staff is very non salant about your issues. My ceiling caved in from the bathroom and STILL is not fixed. The handicapped units wayyy in the back, over thousands of.speed bumps in a one way in one way out.
