We have lived here for 9 months so far. We love it here. The property is so pretty. The staff is friendly and helpful. We love our apartment and all the amenities. We feel safe here. The community is very quiet and in close proximity to everything. Our favorite part of our apartment is the fireplace in winter and the patio during the summer.
I LOVE Polo Park! The management is hands in and works tirelessly to see that grounds as well as the amenities are in excellent condition and up to date. I have never had any problem, no matter how small, that was not attended to quickly.
The property is just beautiful and well-maintained. Everyone in the office is so nice and takes care of you!
Its the best place Ive ever lived. The staff in the front office are sweethearts and theyre always looking out for the residents and and sending us notifications about important information through the neighborhood page. Also, huge shoutout to the maintenance workers. They respond to the service requests quickly every time, and even if Im not home when they come in theyre always nice to my little dog. Its very sweet. The neighbors are all really respectful and its a peaceful place to live. The gym and pool area are nice and its always clean. This complex may be a little more expensive than others in the area but its absolutely worth it and youre getting what you pay for plus so much more. I would definitely consider Polo Park if youre looking to move to the area!Family-friendly, clean, pretty, reliable, and peaceful.... Whats better?
Best decision we have ever made to move here. The staff are all friendly and answer all of my questions. The maintenance staff are on time. The apartments are very nice. The water pressure and heating is amazing. I love the smart home package and everything this apartment has to offer. Also huge bonus : PEACE AND QUIET!!So happy I could cry lol.
The people in the office treat you like there still trying to rent to you
Rick in the leasing office was 5 stars to work with. I had gone back and forth on moving and he was ready and helpful every time. He personally called me on a holiday weekend and was always quick to respond. He made everything as smooth and easy as possible all with an awesome attitude.
I recently moved to Nashville, TN for a new job. I had to find an apartment and the staff at Polo Park far exceeded my expectations. I initially chatted with an online representative Corina who helped me out. Upon chatting with her, I went to the office and Rick H. was a 1st class help. He was very thorough, detail oriented and provided top notch customer service. He explained the process thoroughly and I love my new apartment. It is a small space enough for me and it is safe and quiet. The apartment complex is safe and they have great workout facilities and a pool. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for an apartment in the greater Nashville area. A+ to Rick and team!
I’m just here to ask for my 1st month deposit. I moved out 6 months ago....On the other hand, Rick is phenomenal!Still waiting on my check though....I’ll be waiting...
The location is great, their pet policy is better than so many other apartments in the Nashville area. Rick is an outstanding leasing agent and is so patient and understanding. Happy to have renewed my lease here!
I can’t recommend Polo Park enough! Tiffany in the leasing office has been there for me since day one, she’s such a blessing! The whole team there is wonderful and the location and price is unbeatable.
Lived there for a few years. VERY expensive charging like they were located down town Nashville.. & 1350/one bedroom. $50-$100 increase every year. Constant break ins and robberies. During the tornado and COVID-19, very little help or empathy. If you move out, they charge you 2 months rent even though your not living there, then nickel and dime you to death to keep deposit. Really horrible experience! Love the staff though and Rick!
We recently just moved out ( we have three kids and needed more space) but truly we loved it experience. We worked mostly with Rick in the office who was always kind and helpful. The maintenance guys were also so sweet and helpful. We mostly worked with Jimmy and then usually saw Jeff daily who was so kind to me kids and I. I loved the team. And I loved that we didnt have a bunch of hoops to jump through and things were straight forward and in the open. Wonderful trail to walk and my kids spent our first spring catching turtles everyday! So thankful we found it when we did!
I moved in with my boyfriend who was already living at this complex. After my experience, I would not have chosen to live here.My biggest issue was with management. From car break ins (which happens everywhere in Nashville) to pool restrictions, my issue was not with the normal day to day events that can occur in any apartment complex; my issue was with how management handled and addressed those situations. I found them (especially one employee in particular) to never take accountability and always found a way to turn things back around on the tenants. Nothing was ever the complexs fault. I did not feel supported when talking directly to management and never felt safe in my apartment.Brown recluse spiders were a huge issue, having to constantly set out traps...and I am pretty sure there was black mold in the bathroom.Would definitely not recommend. I wish management would learn how to effectively address their tenants without blame and learn to take accountability for certain things...or at least have the decency to practice empathy and treat tenants like humans, not just a financial gain.Update: Thank you Jody for your response. My disappointment in management is why I did not report the mold, because my previous experiences with management showed nothing good would come from my concerns. It was something that should had been noted before my boyfriend even moved in, as it was very apparent. A thorough check of the apartment before allowing new tenants would have addressed this. And I addressed crime can happen anywhere. I am not oblivious to this. I am more upset, again, at managements responses to the criminal activity in the complex.I hope your management team is able to implement some new policies due to all previous tenants feedback, not just mine.
Smells like sewage... so bad in some areas you need to wear a mask to breathe...
I’ve lived here for two months now with my partner and we absolutely love this place. It was the first rental we looked at. We saw plenty of other places in every corner of Nashville and nothing compared to the charm and character of this place. We have a 2 bed 2 bath along the one of the lakes and the view from our living area and master bedroom is honestly very pretty! It was one of my aspects of this apartment community that made us sign the lease My last living room window view was a Baptist church and a daycare so this is a huge step up for me, lol too. It’s really a special touch. The staff are stellar. We hit a couple of snags in the application process (thanks coronavirus) and Rick and Tiffany were amazing through the entire process dealing with my million phone calls and questions. They are very professional and seem to really take pride in what they do. They’re also very helpful and friendly once you’ve moved in when you have questions or issues. The SmartRent application and networked devices make life a lot easier and convenient.Maintenance is super prompt. I’m used to having to wait a month or more for repairs in past apartments so it’s honestly a treat to have things handled so quickly. They’ve even come to power wash the patio and remove dripped paint that got on the floor from before I moved in for me which is trivial so I respect that. The community seems to be full of really nice people. We haven’t really tried to meet anyone yet because of covid-19 but our neighbors are really friendly. My next door neighbor is a musician and says he plays all the time but I haven’t heard one peep except faintly outside walking in my front door, but when I shut the door it’s silence. The only noise we hear comes from upstairs when their dog gets excited and starts jumping around but how could you be mad at that? Puppas need to have fun to! It’s hardly noticeable and hardly a problem and I’ve never heard a single bark. You can expect peace and quiet at Polo Park.Yes, there are spiders, but if you look at reviews of any comparable complex with similar surroundings, you’ll find that Tennessee has a brown recluse problem, not particularly Polo Park or any other property. I saw a few comments about having to pay for pest control... dude... it’s a $1.50, come on. I saw someone complain that they leave sticky pads on the floor and don’t come to collect them... you’re telling me you can’t bend over and pick it up and throw it in the trash? Someone has to make a special trip to do it for you? Not likely. Most of them are tiny creepy harmless ones but I did see a recluse and promptly murdered it. Don’t blame the complex, blame nature. You can hear the airplanes up ahead occasionally but that’s to be expected and not obtrusive. It’s honestly rare to hear it inside, and I think it’s kinda cool honestly when you can see them so close sometimes on Lebanon Pike or on the greenway, but again, it’s not obtrusive.I’ve also seen posts about additional charges on rent. Well, you have to pay for parking. Pretty typical I’d say. You have to pay for trash and waste management has to empty the compactor eventually so they’ve gotta get paid somehow. Pretty standard I’d say. I’m not sure why people have a problem with that? I’ve always paid for trash. Pest control workers need paid too. Nothings free. Your rent covers... well, your apartment... and two swimming pools, and a tennis court, and a hot tub, and a sauna, and a clubhouse, and a business center, and two gyms, and a racquetball court, and a tanning bed, and the maintenance of your apartment and aforementioned amenities and the upkeep of the landscaping (which is superb btw)... so I’d say that’s a pretty good deal.Access to the greenway is super awesome. One of the first things we did was get bikes. And they just put in a new fire pit area. They also have a secure package locker pavilion if you’re not going to be home to receive a package. All in all, I highly recommend Polo Park or any UDR property.
Rick was so thorough and helpful! He made my leasing process very easy and went above and beyond to make sure my apartment was ready for my move in. The property is beautiful and clean, I recommend Polo Park for anyone looking for an sufficient home in a great location without paying an arm and a leg!
I love Polo Park so much! I have lived here for several months now and have never felt safer in an apartment. My apartment was in excellent condition upon moving in. It is so much brighter, cleaner and nicer than my previous apartment which was in Hermitage. I am so much happier here! My leasing consultant was Samantha and she is top notch! But Ive also found that ALL the staff at Polo Park is amazing! I look forward to coming home from work every day!
Just moved into the complex and I love it so far rick was amazing in answering all of my questions and helping this move be easy the apartment complex is super quiet which I love the only downfall I have been able to see is people not picking up after there dogs
Tiffany - you are the best! Thanks so much for all that you do!
I’m sick of these apartments and I’m ready to move. Sick of the bugs, sick of the lack of care for the tenants. The app is garbage. I have to pay a $30 fee due to it’s fault. Would never recommend this place to ANYBODY.
Not happy with Polo Park apartment as we had a fire next door and they got their insurance money to fix the damage and said they was gonna replace the carpet and never did, than when I moved out, they charge me for.the damage carpet,as they hire someone to steam.my carpet and it was wet, at 13 degree, outside which it took 4 days to dry.Yes it make stains all over .All this from the fire, wasnt my fault, the first place. So they are getting paid twice from their insurance company and making me, pay for, it too!
We stayed at Polo Park apartments for the past 6 months. The location is great as it is close to Target, Kohls & Dollar store. The apartment was clean and spacious. All amenities — dish washer, washer dryer, stove tops looked brand new. The community was very clean and well maintained. Not noisy, a peaceful place, which is something me & my husband prefer. Neighbors were good and we had no problem at all. Maintenance requests were attended quickly. The maintenance staff was very professional. We initially had some issues regarding pests but the maintenance crew handled pest control within no time so then there was nothing to worry after that being done. The pools, jacuzzi, gym, computer room is well equipped. The leasing office staff was extremely helpful whenever we needed them. Toby & Samantha were the best. Community events were real fun — all thanks to Toby & Samantha. In short, Polo Park is an awesome place to live in. We would highly recommend Polo Park apartments to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay in Nashville!
Polo Park is an amazing Complex. Ive lived here for almost two years now, and I am so grateful. The staff in the clubhouse are always very helpful with anything I need. The maintenance crew are very professional, and have always fixed any issue Ive had within that same day. The complex is always kept very clean, and the clubhouse has literally everything I could ask for (2 pools, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, nice gym, computer lab, and a sauna). This is a great place to live!
It’s a lovely and convenient place. It has a walking distance Target, a nice pool and access to the green way. So far so super good.
We have just moved in and are really excited about this complex. The exterior of the buildings are charming and well-kept. They really care about the gardens & take care of the lawns. Amenities are great and the office and common areas are high quality.Tobey and the management have been quick to address all of our needs very quickly.Good location... its close to grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, churches, and a YMCA. (EVERYTHING YOU NEED.)Close proximity to the greenway overlooking the river and I love biking.Im rating it 4 stars and not 5 stars because pests can be an issue due to the wooded location and older age of the complex. Its been renovated and they have answered our requests quickly as I said. Proximity to airport is worth mentioning, but the sound is greatly reduced inside the apartments because of good sound proofing.
The office staff, Rickey and Paige are awesome and very involved in this community. Always friendly and very helpful!
I have lived here a year and just resigned for another year. Its a great place to live and the staff is awesome and friendly. The few issues I have had have been handled quickly and effectively. I dont typically write reviews but when I saw the negative feedback on Google I had to correct it. This is an awesome place to live.
I took away one star for three main reasons: The apartments are a bit small for the prices, I had a brown recluse problem (though that is not entirely their fault, given Tennessee summers), and I didnt like that when they repaved the parking lot, it was incredibly inconvenient. I think they could have done a better job of scheduling it out and making sure no one was super inconvenienced. HOWEVER, the apartments are very nice on the inside, some of the nicest in Nashville I believe, my neighbors were always great, and I love that there is an entrance to the Greenway. Overall great living experience! Also, the office staff is very friendly and always willing to help.
The team here at Polo Park is literally the best. They are always quick to help answer questions or resolve issues. They are super trustworthy and personable.
Hey all I recently moved out of the nightmare that is polo park! I always thought my electric bill was too high and my ac was always working overtime bc of door drafts and cheap insulation and I was right! In my new apartment which has wood floors and 150 extra sq ft my ac bill went from always being over 100$ and during the winter sometimes 200$+ I now have normal bills. First month 95, then 90, now 77! I dont my ac or heat always pumping and trust me Im home all day using all kinds of electricity. Just goes to show what quality building is like. Thanks new landlords for not going cheap on the building! And also nice to not come home to a moldy doorway
Management and staff are amazing, amenities are very good and of quality.
Seriously, move in at your own risk! I lived here for 3 years and honestly loved it at first and then my 3 year was awful!!!!! Youd think that since I had been such a loyal resident they would have been more understanding. Year 3 I switched to a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment since I had gotten a roommate. They RUSHED us into an unclean apartment because my move in date was postponed due to snow and then charged me for the stains in the carpet that were there when I moved in! Also not to mention how bad it smelled from the previous residents, there were holes in the wall behind every door that I paid someone to come patch for fear they would charge me for that too (which they probably would have), and I had to live with cockroaches crawling up and down the walls and inside the dishwasher for 7 months because of how dirty the previous residents were. At 12 weeks pregnant (8 months into my lease) I got insanely sick due to there being mold in the vents and had to sleep with every window open and the AC off just so I could breath. This went on for about a week because they were short on maintenance staff and said my issue wasnt a priority and I had to wait my turn.. 2 nights I physically had to sleep outside on my patio because it was making me so sick. I will say the location and convenience of these apartments is amazing though (this is the only reason they received 2 stars instead of only 1). Theyll treat you decently until you decide to leave then theyll basically try to rob you once you move out.
Polo Park attaches up-charges to the monthly rent with no explanation. When inquires are made as to the up-charges, the entire office goes dark and will no response. Very Shady Practices.Prospective Renters BEWARE of all the excessive monthly charges they hit your with.On move-in I provided them a list of items that needed repaired, one was black mold on the patio and an broken down spout drain. After living there for 3 months, none had been repaired.
Wonderful staff, Beautiful apartments, great amenities.
I recently downsized from a 6,000 square foot house and moved into a one bedroom home here at Polo Park. The funny thing is I thought Id miss the large space but it turns out I not only dont miss it Im very happy in my cozy place. No worries with maintenance the few problems I had have been fixed the same day as I submitted a work ticket on line. And I new zero neighbors in my last place but have met and enjoyed social gatherings with several of my Polo Park neighbors. And I love the Hermitage and Donelson areas there is literally everything I need within five minute from Polo Park . Down town Nashville is just 6 miles east of us. The Music City Express train ride is just down the road and takes me to Broadway for only $2. NO PARKING fees. (:Im Lovin Life in Polo Park,Jack
I lived there for 3 years, no insulation in walls, old single pane windows, old HVAC units so you pay an average of $300/month in electric bill in winter. Make sure you call NES to verify cost before you sign a lease. They also charge you all kinds of outrageous fees like replacing light bulbs, paying for replacement of carpets that show normal signs of wear when you move out.It is definitely a nice location and convenient location.
Just moved to Polo Park from FL. Amazing apartment complex, high quality amenities. Direct access to Stones River Greenway trail which is so awesome! Prices are good and the front office is flat out genuinely caring and helpful (shout out to Samantha! lol) If youre looking for a place in Nashville check this place out!
Love this place. It is close to Marshalls, Kohls, Dollar Tree, Target. The staff is kind and friendly. So happy to cal this place home
We lived in Polo Park from Feb. 2016-Feb. 2017 and have nothing but great things to say about our experience. Before moving to Nashville, we lived in LA and Vegas and have lived several different apartment complexes. Polo Park was always neat and clean, we never had a problem with bugs or theft. The management team was always very friendly, professional, and fair. We rarely could hear our neighbors and always felt very comfortable in our downstairs one bedroom. The work out and pool facilities are great and there is access to the Stones River Walk which made it feel like it was part of the facility. When we moved to Nashville we were hesitant to pick any apartment because we had heard several horror stories from friends. Im glad we picked Polo Park, I feel like our time here was nothing but blessings.
I lived here in 2009 oct through March 2010. Pretty decent place and the facilities are decent. Only things are smaller rooms.
I have lived at Polo Park for a year now, and have had no issues - other than parking sucks. All service calls have been handled within 24 hours, and the staff has always been great with any questions/concerns I had. Yes, there have been break-ins, but coming from someone who has lived in the Hermitage/Donelson area the majority of my life - that is something to be expected in this area. This complex has had the least amount of crime compared to the others I have lived in, in this area. This is not a gated community, folks. Dont walk around alone in the middle of the night.....travel in numbers. And dont leave valuables in your car. Common sense. Also, yes there is a weird smell - its from the river. Its always been like that, from here to Clarksville - it smells. Management has no control. AND, I have seen complaints about the airplanes........THE AIRPORT IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. Hello?I am giving 4 stars only because of parking. I think every apartment should have at least 1 assigned spot, so you know you have at least one spot when you get home, especially at night.
PLEASE BE SURE TO GET ALL REQUIREMENTS/STIPULATIONS IN WRITING BEFORE APPLYING WITH THIS COMPLEX/COMPANY. ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE APPLYING FOR THEIR FIRST APARTMENT OR PLACE / RESIDENCE. SHAME ON THOSE WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!Let me just start off by saying the staff is super amazing and Tonya and Rich are very very helpful! They deserve 5 stars. The one star is for the ridiculous UDR company that will nickel and dime you. I would give them zero stars if that was an option. There’s a fee for almost everything from a pest fee charged monthly that YOU HAVE TO PAY, to a trash fee. Not a valet trash pickup, a fee just so you can throw your trash away there. Lmao seriously? Not to mention the car break-ins and the property has no security cameras covering the parking lot. Oh, and the apartment break-ins. One day the thieves hit FOUR apartments in one day. Please please please think elsewhere before renting to this place. We had, and I’m serious when I say over 17 work orders while living there. Although it’s no fault of the staff, the company UDR will charge insane amount of rent, but then replace your items with the same cheap one that broke. We had roaches for insane amount of time and tried literally everything (but the pest service which we paid for) because we didn’t want anybody in our house while we were gone so it just didn’t work for us.The hot tub was constantly broken or shut down for who knows what and the music in the gym and pool kept being serviced constantly. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. Believe the bad reviews.Again, the staff was amazing. The apartment company UDR is worthless. I stand by my review.
5 stars if it wasnt for the $15 per month per car for residents
I have been a resident at Polo Park for going on 4 years now - started in a 2 bedroom, went to a 1 bedroom, and now am back to a 2 bedroom. I am by nature pretty low maintenance, but I cannot come up with any solid complaints about this place. As a runner I enjoy the proximity of the Greenway and utilize it 1 to 3 days a week, and as a fitness enthusiast I can attest to the proximity of the local YMCA (you can run there if you want via the Greenway - about 4 miles around trip). They also have an onsite gym, but I prefer the Y. The location is also about 20 minutes out from downtown (on a good day without traffic) - and right across the street there is a large plaza with a Target, GameStop, liquor store, and Kohls, among others. There is plenty of parking (at least in the areas of the complex I have lived in), and Ive not been bothered once by a neighbor. Everyone kind of keeps to themselves, which I like. The service has also been great, both from the maintenance team and from the leasing desk. This is the only complex Ive lived in since I moved to the area, and to be honest they make it hard to ever want to leave.Great job UDR and Polo team! Keep up the good work.
DONT LIVE HERE CARS MANY CARS HAVE BEEN BROKEN INTO, THEY TELL YOU TO CALL POLICE NO SURVEILLANCE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN JACKED YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING AND PEST CONTROL FOR WHEN THERE ARE STILL BUGS,
I usually dont comment on any posts online but I feel compelled to do so after reading some of the posts regarding Polo Park Apartments on Jackson Downs Blvd in Donelson/Hermitage.I apparently live in a different community than some of you do. I cannot believe some of the comments I have seen on this website! I have lived in apartments in earlier years and after down-sizing from being a homeowner for many years. I have never had issues with the facility and certainly not the staff in the seven years that I have lived here since United Dominion purchased this property. I lived here for two years prior to their ownership and there were certainly issues THEN. I left the property to move to another apartment community which was gated. That was a bad experience also. When I heard that Polo Park had changed ownership and that United Dominion had purchased the property, I decided to check Polo Park again to see if things had changed. I really love the location being so close to the airport, I-40, and Briley Parkway. Shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants are all nearby and convenient. I found lots more in the way of amenities and services. But the most impressive thing I found was the management and staff. From day one, any issue that I have had have ALWAYS been resolved within 24 hours and usually the same day that I requested service online. This community has recently undergone a complete upgrade of services and amenities after only six years of it all being completely re-newed and upgraded, Entire clubhouse, all workout equipment, pool surfaces, walkways, and the resort-style furnishings on the sun deck and pool areas. You will NOT find any location that is better cared for. Yes, the racquet ball court was closed for a while but it is hard to upgrade while people are playing on it. Yes, the indoor hot tub was closed for a short period, but then again it is difficult to re-tile and seal a hot tub while people are in it. On very rare occasions the pool may be closed. Being a former owner of an in-ground, I know how difficult it is to maintain the water quality and keep it healthy and safe. Pools have to be SHOCKED with high-power chemicals at least once a week to keep it safe.NEVER leave anything in your car of any value and set your security alarm. There is only so much anyone can do to keep this community safe so be very aware of your surrounding especially if you are out at mid-night or four a.m. I leave for work at 4 to 4:30 each morning and always look around and have my keys ready. Some of the recent police presence was due to the death of my neighbor and I subsuquently heard that we had had another death in the community- both were natural causes. The staff has advised me that they have requested more patrols, also. Get real, folks, crime is happening everywhere regardless of the location. When I lived in a gated community, crime was worse that it is here by far.Rent complaints really surprise me. Have you shopped around? Do you know how much rental property is in demand?? Yes, I would like to pay less but this is not going to happen, I find Polo Park rental in line or less than many that I have priced recently since my lease renewal is coming up. I have never had an electric bill higher than $70 in a single month ( and I run the a/c on 69 degrees in the summer). I use bleach to clean the bath once and month and rinse and have no mildew issues. Just saying...Sorry for the long post, but I really like living here. How many places do you go that they know your name and treat you as well as the staff does here? Very few, I think. Frankly, if some of you are so unhappy, please dont renew your lease and move somewhere else. Then you will realize how much better it is here than many other places.
The air and heating costs double what I paid anywhere else in the city. The bathroom also developed black mold.
I live there....and I Love it!!
Great cozy comfortable
This place is a joke.
Very nice
