Well I have to say I am very sad to leave this review as a local guide. Karla Plata is amazing at her job. I loved my time as a blonde I never in my life thought I would ever be brave and trust someone with my hair like I did her. The reason why I leave this 1 star is because as amazing as her work is her customer service is very unprofessional. I made an appointment with her weeks in advance like she asked. On the day of the appointment she texts and apologizes asking if I can come in later because she is running late with a client. I let her know that I was needing to leave by a certain time due to personal reasons. I didnt think to bring them up since they had nothing to do with my hair appointment. To be safe I ask if we can reschedule because I had gone to her 4 previous times and I know she can take a bit longer because after she still would have to prepare my color and clean and all that good stuff which is understandable. She says due to me wanting to reschedule she would let this time slide but next time she would have to charge me a rescheduling fee. I then corrected her and said it was due to her being late and she said that that is how she ran her business and if I didnt like that I could go elsewhere. She also mentioned she didnt know what was going on with me so I shared a bit to see if that would help her understand and that went even more south again pushing me elsewhere due to timeliness. She had mentioned she was all about her customers and delivered quality customer service. The whole time I was wondering where mine was at because every time either it was morning or afternoon appointment she would be running late it was to make a coffee run in the mornings, waking up late, or running late with a customer. I even offered to pay more money just so she could make it on time since i was going through a personal matter. I think she misunderstood thinking I was asking for VIP service or something because she said no matter what income she charged the same. NOOO! I was offering to pay extra in hopes she could agree to make it on time. I understand being self employed but maybe better customer service especially while representing a hair salon that is not yours is still very important. She also mentioned the owner of Hasbrouck House had made her fix someones hair due to a similar reason before this incident with me so I am guessing its not her first time treating customers in this matter. I have now gone to a handful of salons and everyone is scared to touch my hair because every time they test it it is very slimy and fragile. If anyone knows of anyone who can work on my hair like she could please share. This girl can definitely correct the incorrect and make any hair color a reality. Customer service and timeliness are definitely recommended to be worked on. I had asked one final time to make things work and she never replied back. I know her work is flawless but that shouldn’t be an excuse to be treated like this or make me feel like it was all my fault.

I had a facial and waxing done with Natalie. She did an amazing job! After my treatment, my face felt smooth and clean. I never thought I would be one to enjoy having a facial, but after having one with Natalie, I’m hooked. It was so relaxing! She also gave my some beauty tips. I would highly recommend her!

Angela gave my 80 year old mom a perm. She was very considerate and professional.And such a lovely room!

I was visiting my hometown and needed my nails done for a class reunion. Stephanie Homer was the only one I could get on short notice and did an amazing job. My finger nails are usually chipping within a few days but not with Stephanie. My nail polish lasted over 2 weeks and looked perfect. My toes still look good after a month! She showed me some helpful tips for issues with my feet as well. I am definitely going back to her every chance I get, when visiting Nampa. Thank you for a fabulous job Stephanie!!!Hugs 💗

Went in for a coloring that I had been growing my hair out for for 6 months for. Price was agreed upon...I dropped 200 for this coloring. A cobalt blue root to a silver, from already lightened hair and natural blonde. Everything was fine until color time, she did the blue at the same time as the silver... causing the blue to bleed down and basically turn teal and green. She tried to correct it, and even apologized promising to correct it. The blue wasnt down all the way to the root so it looks like a months worth of growth on top of the green and yellow patches threw out the supposed silver. Made an appointment for her to tone it out and fix the blue, which she texts saying she is behind and asks if I can come in an hour after my scheduled time. I go in, not even five minutes and she decides she would rather do it next week when she has more time...after being an hour late for the set appointment time...ok. Today (over 2 weeks at this point from the original coloring), not even an hour before my rescheduled scheduled time I get a text...she has to cancel it. So not only is she wasting my time, my 200 dollars, but my hair looks horrible. I dropped 500 dollars that day surprising my daughter and friend to a salon day. Will never go back...

I’ve been going to Jamie for about a year after leaving my previous barber and not knowing where to turn, she is amazing!! She was able to fit me in right away and always works with your schedule and knows what she’s doing with barbering, I drive all the way from Boise just to go to her and haven’t found a barber as good as she is with my hair.

I finally found a great stylist close to my home. I left a message and Ash called me right back. She was able to get me in quickly. Usually Im pretty quiet when I have my hair or nails done, but I felt like I was visiting with an old friend. She even gave me a tour of the house. The best part is I left with one of the best haircuts Ive ever had. She also did a great job correcting my color that was messed up by another salon. Thank you Ash! I will be back.

Jecka is the best stylist Ive ever been to. She cares about the quality of her work, the products she uses and, especially, about her guests. She has always made my hair look better than I could have imagined and teaches me how to care for and style it at home. She is professional and fun and I cant recommend her highly enough!

Ive heard great things about this place, so I wanted to try it out . I have called 3 or 4 different times and days trying to make a hair appointment (cut and color). I have left multiple voicemails asking to make an appointment, and no call backs. Definitely Disappointed. Guess Ill be taking my hair appointment elsewhere.

I am very disappointed and frustrated with the experience I had. Marilyn placed eye lash extensions on me which was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. It was my first time and everything was going smoothly until she said to open my eyes. At this point I realized she had glued me eyes shut! No lie, they were glued shut. After witch she pulled them apart we had to reapply more lashes just to have them fall out again not even 20 hours later! I returned the next day scared and frustrated at which she said she would fix them for free. Out of fear I declined and asked her to remove what was left. Due to the experience I was hoping for some compensation back. I paid a lot of money for something that only gave me 20 hours. Plus now a fear to ever have them done again to be told there was nothing she could do. We trust these ladies to help guides us to feeling and looking beautiful. I understand there is no guarantee but I also know That for someone like her who have been doing lashes for years, would be compassionate and understanding to someone that she just glued her eyes shut.

The ladies at the Hasbrouck House are wonderful. They are all very talented and skilled in their trained fields. They care about each of their clients personally. When I get my hair and nails done, they take extra care to listen to what I want so that I will leave happy! They help me feel good about myself and feel beautiful.

This place is a house where independent businesses rent out a room in the house to have a business. Creative concept. My mom and I couldnt get in anywhere to get a manicure. No one took walk-ins.

The Salon and Spa has been open under new management since 2011. It was a Salon previously before that. Before that it was a restaurant and before that the Yellow House of Jesus which helped people for addiction recovery. We used to have events at the Hasbrouck House but the Salon and Spa became so popular we just made the majority of the building for the health and beauty business. I was able to get a last minute haircut appointment here when no other salon I tried could fit me in or even answer the phone. Rebecca gave me a great cut and answered all my questions with detailed explanations and gave product suggestions at different price points; even though she doesnt actually sell products in house at this time. Pricing was good, especially considering this was one of those rare cuts where I woke up the next morning, styled it myself, and still loved it! Would highly recommend her.

I have had my hair cut and styled there for years! I have also had my make-up done for highschool dances and had my nails done. I have never been dissatisfied with the service and walking in feels like walking into the house of a family friend.

I’d hate to rate so low because Yanely always did such a PHENOMENAL job on my hair but the Hasbrouck house itself was awful. I don’t have the funds to take my child to daycare on my days off and hardly even have funds to get my hair done. I was excited when I finally was able to get my hair touched up and we had a lady come upstairs and yell at us because my daughter was walking around (as kids do) around us watching the process. Not getting into things or anything just walking. This massage lady told me to carry her and not let her walk around?? Does she not know how impossible that is to force An almost 2 year old to be held? I couldn’t even enjoy my experience after that. I still haven’t and will not be back since they were so rude. If you have kiddos you have to take with you to appts like this I wouldn’t recommend coming here. Overall negative environment although my hair lady was amazing.

I went in to go get my hair dyed. I wanted the tips done blonde and when I called in the lady quoted me 60 dollars she did my hair and was telling me the whole time about how blond I was and when I looked at it after there was basically no change and on top of that she charged me an extra 10 dollars for putting toner in that she never put in she just used purple shampoo so after I paid 87 dollars my hair had no change and I left unhappy.

My friend and I went in last weekend for pedicures. Our experience was nothing like we expected. We thought that we were getting gel pedis but turns out we got regular plain old polish. The nail polish chipped off 2 days after. Kind of bummed our experience here wasnt super rad. No more salon services for me at the Hasbrouck House.

Did so bad on my nails, made me pay $10 extra for 2 jewels, took 2 and half hours, then on top of all that they fell off after 5 days. Spent $50 when I called ahead of time and was told it would be $40 at the max. Would not recommend at all.

Like any other salon, its full of drama... But if you stay out of that this is the best building in Nampa!! Every level of it :)

I have been painstakingly searching for a stylist that can do more than chew my hair off and leave me looking as if I have mange, so one day I was in need of a trim started calling around and decided to give the gal who answered the phone at H.H. a try. Ive been to countless places, upscale to take your chances places. Paid anywhere from 12.00 to 50.00+tip for a haircut. FINALLY! after 3 years, a precision hair cutter. I will never return for any services in the future. I originally went in because my sister recommended going so I trusted her. I wanted a blonde, longer A-line cut. I have gone from brown to blonde many times in my life and was not prepared for this process to take 6 hours. I was often left with my head inside the wash bowl, which was killing my shoulders and neck while the stylist went outside for long periods of time. I was charged for products put in my hair and did not know until I received the final bill. While she was cutting my hair she ended up ripping out a cartilage earring because she was combing so fast. She apologized and kept going and nearly took out the second cartilage earring because she would not slow down. After everything was done I looked at my hair and almost started crying. The cut was horrible. She knew I didn’t like it. She started commenting on my weight and how I looked so good after having 3 kids. Totally inappropriate for the situation. Then she charged me $175 for the color and cut. Never in my entire life have I ever been charged that much for color and cut.

This is a beautiful victorian home. I highly recommend when you call to make an appointment you let them know this will be your first time coming in. It can be a little confusing. Besides that I love how every room has its own station. Hair, nails, lashes ect. I come here to get my hair done by Jodi Montes. She is amazing! She gives me exactly what I want every time I come in.

Cant even rate this place, however have to give it a star at least so I can post it. Horrible experience,...paid for a Groupon deal here for my wife as a Christmas present and got absolutely nothing. Called in Dec for an appointment, was told soonest they could do it was February which seemed silly...not like Im trying to book an appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon...Anyhow we booked the appt. then the place canceled on us...we made multiple attempts to reshedule but with no success and then the Groupon expired....Groupon took care of me somewhat with a credit, however this place took me for $30 and Im getting $22 in return...could be worse I guess.

I came here to get my hair done. I showed the girl pictures of the color I wanted my hair (ash blonde). My hair color started out light blonde, so I thought hmmm easy thing just dye it a shade or two darker...by the time my hair was done it was copper. I was charged $95 for a BOTCHED job and the girl had the nerve to say...if you want to come back tomorrow I can try to fix it for another $20!!! Are you kidding me??

Not really impressed, I called to find out prices since their not listed on their site, no one answered or called me back, so I decided to go in, once I got there there was nobody available to talk to in the front, I had to walk around awkwardly to find someone upstairs and even then they were not even friendly. Not the kind of atmosphere I was hoping for.
