Price gouging at its worst!

Definitely avoid these guys if possible.

These guy wouldnt let me get my thgs out of my truck that was in pounded unless I had a title and I was able to get one due to covid so they were legally able to keep my truck and everythg in it...my girlfriend ran out of gas they wanted 90 to bring her sum .

Wanted 160 an hour with a two hour minimum to unlock a vehicle that took 5 minutes for another service to do definitely call around for prices

I didnt go in I was Waiting for the policeTo get a car moved so could turn my semi down 8 th St

The dispatcher and tow truck driver were both very professional and friendly when my car broke down this morning. My situation was handled quickly and I appreciate your help!

They weren’t gonna let me get my car out because I was using five dollar bills & one dollar bills the total was 512. When I put the money down for him to count he didn’t like the fact that there was so many bills so he denied the money and wanted other bills!! Dude must not have knew how to count. absolutely dumb.

I called last night to arrange for a car to be towed an hour away. I spoke to a very nice man named Andrew who told me to call back this morning at 7:30 when I needed the car towed. He told me they don’t schedule times but there should be no problem and he would let the night person know I would be calling. I began calling at 7:15 and my last attempt was at 7:45. I would get a recording that said all agents were busy and nobody ever answered. Needless to say I called another company who is on their way.

Good people to deal with

RUN. The worst customer service. I waited for over 45 minutes for a roadside tire repair. I called one hour after I was told they could be at my location in 45 minutes. I was told that they did not have a truck who could assist. The truck that they were utilizing was in Detroit! No phone call to alert me. No apology. Call Jims Towing in Monroe. Very helpful, professional team.

I was driving through Monroe a couple months ago in August with a van full of kids and had a tire blow out on the highway. The truck found us quickly safely fit us all in it and the tow truck and took us to repair shop. The driver was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He was so selfless he graciously refused the tip I was trying to give him. All around great guy working for a company that I received great service from!

I have them on speed dial for any issue I run into on the road. They are knowledgeable and friendly, with good tow rates. A lot of these bad reviews are because the person was towed for being parked illegally. I cant even count how many times Ive used them without issues.

Great group of drivers doing heavy tows, especially a guy they call shorty

A COMPLETE AND TOTAL RIPOFF! These scumbags put on a nice guy act and then try to charge ridiculous rates. STEER CLEAR at any cost.To tow me 11 miles from an industrial yard to the local TA they wanted to charge $350 an hour, minimum 3 hours and that they wanted to send 2 trucks for the truck and trailer. Total $2100 to tow 11 miles is absolutely ridiculous.Call literally anyone else these are not God’s men and I strongly believe they are destined for evil.One star is too high of a rating in my humble opinion!

Wife had a flat on the highway. Star was sent by our insurance company. While jacking up our vehicle they damaged a piece of trim and now refuse to pay for it. Id look elsewhere for quality service.

This message is on behalf of his son. My father asked for this company to disconnect his reefer and tow his tractor inside the TA repair shop at Monroe MI yesterday at 4:00 AM. The break-down occurred 30 feet from the entrance of the BAY shop.tie rod broke, which damaged the front steer tires. My father called several towing companies, DUFFY, JIM TOWING, and this STAR company. Jim’s towing asked for $150 to do the Job .. STAR company wanted to rip my father off for $1000. Unbelievable ridiculous rate. No body want to be ripped off like that .. bad company . You do not need their service. DO NOT MAKE A MISTAKE AND CALL THIS STAR TOWING THEY WILL RIPP YOU OFF.

I was a passenger in a car that slid off the road in icy conditions. Star Towings truck was there in a matter of minutes and had us back on our way. Not only did the driver make sure we were in the safest possible spot before he started working, but he didnt hesitate when it came to hooking up our car in a rather dangerous situation. They are true pros.

Recently a family members truck was put in impound. Staff put the valuables ( my purse, and car battery charger) in front of the cameras at the office which I was grateful for since I was not present when the incident took place and the truck was towed. However upon retrieving my items, BOTH of my coach wallets and $80 was missing. Upon returning to pay and get the truck out of impound we inquired about these items. Staff was friendly, but it is odd to me that within a few hours time frame all of this came up missing. Frustrated and have lost every insurance card including my childs, credit cards, license, work IDs and certifications. Mistakes happen but just a heads up.

This company is nothing but a bunch of thieves. They tow cars illegally and rape the owners for towing charges, then try to illegally threaten/bully people into paying their ungodly high costs. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they will GOUGE you without conscience. They are currently under investigation. Complaints are being filed for unlawful practices.

Fast service and very polite Drivers

My car was towed last June by Star Towing after a car accident. I went the next day to pick it up, and the owner happened to be in the office, (as they have more than one location). He was so kind to me, and sympathetic to my individual situation, that he worked with me with dignity and respect.Last week, my car was impounded at Duffy Towing. The difference in attitude and customer service was like night and day. Although the employees were wonderful and treated me with respect, the owner was RUDE, unsympathetic and made me BEG to pay with a credit card, even though I had proper ID and there were stickers on the front and back door stating they accepted Visa, Mastercard, ect.When I called a few days later to question why it was so expensive after getting quotes from other Tow companies, the employee on the phone not only lied to me about the pricing, he called the owner of Star Towing a crook! That is absolutely ironic considering his pricing verses Duffy.The owner of Duffy is a mean crook. Ive used Duffy before for roadside service several times. I will refuse their service if my roadside assistance company ever tries to send Duffy to me for help. Id rather leave my car on the side of the road than give that jerk another dime of my hard earned money. Also, while Star Towing has an option for feedback, Duffy does not. Please be aware of using this towing company for any services. This company towed a semi truck and did severe damage to underbody of truck and denied the damage that occurred. Pictures were taken as evidence and company still refused to admit the damage occurred.Reef Trucking Enterprises Ltd.

We have used this company for many different things. tonight my husband was leaving work at 2 am when his car broke down. I called Star and the man on the phone said that they wouldnt be able to help us because his location where he was STRANDED was like a mile or two further than the general area the like to cover very disappointed with the lack of compassion from this small town business. I even told him i had a 3 and 5 year old sleeping and had to be up for work at 6...

These people financially RAPE you if your car is towed. Flat RAPE of 470$ for a one day. DO NOT park where your car has the potential to get towed. Bullshit ass company
