Great place to spend your time. A warm and inviting atmosphere and everyone treats you like family. The gym is clean and well-maintained. The type of training and workouts offered here are great for your mind, body and spirit. It didnt take long for me to start feeling more powerful, more sharp and more focused.
I started training BJJ at One Hit MMA, and I couldn’t be happier. The owner of the Academy and coach, Aldo, is a true professional and makes you feel welcome. My BBJ professor, Gustavo, is a true expert and a great teacher. Both are great men and gifted teachers. I couldn’t be more satisfied with my choice to go to this Academy. I would recommend anyone wishing to study MMA or BJJ attend One Hit MMA.
I’ve been going to One Hit MMA for the past four years now. I’ve been paying for one on one training with the owner Aldo. Aldo is a black belt in a couple martial arts, and has taught Many great local and national fighters. It has been an absolute pleasure starting my day off with him and this form of training. If you struggle with depression and or find yourself in a funk, take my advice and come to One Hit MMA, learn how to throw a proper punch and kick, and unleash your stress by punching and kicking bags and mit work with the master. It’s one thing to learn from a fighter, but most fighters understand how to brawl, but lack the understanding of what it means to be a ‘Coach’. A coach is someone that sees you for more then money, they see your potential and inspire you daily to towards this potential.
Awesome group of people. I go weekly
Im stationed at Hill AFB. Ive been attending OneHitMMA for about a year now. Ive trained martial arts all over the globe so I feel like I can say, this gym has something special. The price is great for being able to train BJJ, kickboxing and MMA, and the owner is a master striker and coach. He brings a level of character to the gym that foster a good attitude. Everyone wants to help one another, and there are plenty of different skill levels to train with. There are people that have fought in professional organizations, local organizations, BJJ wizards that are only concerned with self defense or just the casual MMA fan that wants to get in shape. Additionally, I saw someone posted a 1 star review claiming he is not professional or doesnt speak English. THATS NOT TRUE. Cheers if your reading this and hope to see you around the gym.
When I training that he nice sweet amazing the gym is great it looks small but when you walk in side its big!🏋
My kids train here and love it.
Great place to train! Aldo is an awesome coach!
Love this place. I train here whenever I come to town. Aldo is an excellent coach and the people that train here are great to work with.
One of the best gyms ive been to. It has talented coachs and great people to train with. I would recommend this gym to anyone just starting out or training for a fight.
I’ve been training at One Hit for the past six years. It’s been the best work out ever. Aldo makes training fun and entertaining.
I have been training with Aldo at one hit mma for years. My kids have also trained here. He is top notch. Very knowledgable. I love this gym. I would highly recommend it to anybody.
This place is great! We come 6 Days a week. Its not just a gym to us. Its a family. My husband, son and I all three train here, and receive the best training we have ever had! Learned so much, and continue to grow daily. Everyone is welcome, and everyone is always helping each other and striving for the best in everyone! We are truly a team and family!!
The best kickboxing and MMA gym in Utah, Aldo and a great trainer. I recommend everyone to train at this academy.
Great facility, strong staff and team, lots of support. In my opinion aldo is the best striking coach in the state. Affordable compared to other gyms as well.
Great gym with great coaches and community.
The name it self explains One Hit MMA . Aldo Oreggia is a artist.
Ive known Aldo since 2006 and I have trained at many gyms in this state and Gyms in 4-5 others. Ive trained with the armys boxing team Germany where I was stationed, other gyms off base in Germany too. Trained on a NATO base in Afghanistan including qiality fighters and coaches from the US, Great Britain, and other European countries stationed there (awesome experience). So Ive been around the block. Ive seen good and mostly bad mma gyms in my opinion bc the environment and overall vibe there was a turn off.Aldo is the best kickboxing instructor in the state. Not only on paper, his resume (2 time world champion, kickboxing. Purple belt in jits). He has the gift of coaching. (Just cause someoneis an expert in something it doesnt mean theyre a good coach). Most people could agree with that. His natural ability to know how far to push someone (everyone has different limits) for improvement purposes and to increase conditioning, that ability is uncommon. He has another unique ability like Ive never seen; He will work with someone by helping them do their best with their style and freedom of trying different things a traditional coach wouldnt or theyd be closed off by the idea or possibly offended. Most other coaches have strict form expect you not to not deviate from( so copying the coaches style). Thats been my experience anyway. He instead helps people develop an authentic stylistic style whats called unconventional.Weve all seen those awkward-moving (unconventional) fighters and yet they compete on the highest level in the world. He teaches the fundamentals flawlessly and assists in corrections to help, and insists on proper form/movement to protect yourself, yet he works with your style or what u do naturally too. but at the same time he helps eliminate the bad habits to make you better. Hes tactfully blunt and honest when one asks his opinion on progress and ways for improving. I like that. Its what u pay for. If u dont want to get better or in better shape buy a cardio kickboxing VHS and do that instead. LolHes trained and developed UFC fighters that started with a wrestling background is all and now theyre UFC or Belletor caliber fighters. Hes train professional boxers, as many people whose won prestigeous jits tournaments as well. Well-rounded gym.His other coaches are excellent too. Aldo is an excellent kids coach. Very good with kids of all ages 5+. My six year old daughter adores ballet and loves tumbling even enjoyed kickboxing classes. Shes since moved on to different interests but at the time she enjoyed it.The environment is what makes OneHitt awesome. Its not the typical fight club gym people imagine when they think of a typical MMA gym. At least this one isnt. (Ive been to plenty that fit that stereotype).Theres competitors who fight/compete and theres moms/dads that go for losing weight with no interest in competing. Young Moms go to get in shape and build confidence. Its a diverse group of all ages and goals for WHY they go.They offered a 1 week trial pass (at least they used to) so one can see if its a good fit. Worth a try
