Got a flat tire on my way to Bozeman from Spokane and they got my vehicle taken care of with two people in less than 20 minutes, paid and out the door.Unfortunately my tire was not salvageable, but they got me a nicer used replacement that was similar performance and wear to my existing (newer ) tires for a great deal.Terrific service, speed, and price!Thank you!

Im from Butte, MT working in Missoula for 2 nights (graveyard shift) I need my vehicle by end of day. Josh got my truck looked at immediately as I explained I hadnt had any sleep yet. He replaced a bolt in right front shock and test drive for other problems. Told me right then what was wrong and to gets fullfront end evaluation when I got home but if I kept my speechd down I would make it home fine. And AT NO CHARGE except for the bolt replacement which was $10. I tipped him $10 for his excellent help and advice. My peace of mind driving home was worth even more.

Car wouldnt start, so I replaced the battery myself. Still wouldnt start. Called in and had my car towed in as I thought it was an alternator problem. They took it in and diagnosed the problem before tinkering with it, and realized it was a starter problem instead of an alternator problem. Didnt charge me a dime, just gave me references for some other local shops and wished me the best.Even if it was an alternator problem, they gave me one of the best quotes for labor and parts, and I would have happily let them do the work.A man named Josh was the one who helped me out so much, so thank you if youre reading this!Professional business, great customer support.

Joe was awesome! We have a small RV and finding places to work on it can be a pain! Joe was quick with answers, had tires in stock, and was friendly as well. One of the best organizations I have ever had the pleasure to do business with .. they have now gone fully above and beyond 3 separate times for me .. to the point where I genuinely feel like I must have some secret uncle I dont know about that owns the company .. on top of having the best tires, prices, aaand personnel in town (which I called every single tire place in town checking prices and quality before choosing to go with Whalen in the first place) .. but on top of all that, I went in to get a leak fixed at their location in Coeur dAlene when I was on a trip .. turned out I had a cracked rim .. they spent 30 min working on making a tool to lower my spare since I apparently lost the original .. brought the rim to a completely different company to get repaired for me (they did a great job and were very affordable too), and then picked it up once it was done the next week, and sent it out to this location to get it reinstalled .. all for $0.00 dollars on their part .. I have come to trust Whalen Tire without question, and will be purchasing any and every tire that touches my vehicles from here .. also, they will be installing all of my brakes from here on too, because they did an above and beyond job on those as well .. would leave 7 stars out of 5 if google would let me!

I went to tirerama, they said noone would repair my tire because of where the nail was, and said itd take a week to replace. I got a second opinion from Wayland and they were able to repair it! It only took about 45 minutes too! Ive driven to Chicago on it and it is still standing strong! I highly recomend these guys. They have great customer service too and were very hospitable. They did not pressure me into a descision. Highly recomend!! Dont go to tirerama. 😁

Had a flat on the interstate. Called places in Missoula and got a quick no! Called Whalen Tire and they were very friendly and checked if they had my size and even checked if they had it used! Took the car and and had great customer service very friendly! They even came outside and checked my car! Within 45 minutes I was back on the road! Absolutley recommend Whalen Tire!

They had the RV tires we needed in stock and put them on quickly. They dont have a lift large enough for our class A but still managed to replace the two front tires and move the back tires in less than 2 hours. Would definitely return.

The service you get from Joe at Whalen Tire is impeccable! I came in 15 minutes before they even opened with a tire that was literally hissing and rapidly losing tire pressure due to a newly discovered tear. I barely made it to the shop! Joe saw me and one other patron in the lot, opened up right away, and got the problem taken care of in under an hour. Ill definitely be back!

A few weeks ago I was driving down Broadway when my tire started losing pressure. I pulled into Whalen just a it went completely flat. Within minutes they had my car in the shop, even tho they were busy. Sadly, my tire was ruined. I was hoping to make it until spring before buying new tires and had planned to put on my snow tires within the next week. Instead of charging me for one (or 4) new tires that would be in storage for the next 4 - 5 months, they lent me a used tire for a couple of days until I could bring in my winter tires.THAT is customer service above and beyond my expectations. They turned my rotten luck of a flat tire into a positive experience. I’ve told every one of my friends…especially women…how well Whalen took care of me. I will never go to anyone else!

We stayed in Missoula overnight and woke up to a flat in on our trailer. I called Whalen Tire and they were happy to repair it. Once there the service we received from Chase in the shop was beyond expectations. He repaired the tire and had us back on the road in no time. Thanks again!

The first visit went good except the mechanic tightened the bolt on the oil pan so tight that it broke inside and ended up costing me $200 to fix. Then he tightened the cap on the engine so tight that I had to use a 🔨 to loosen it. Then once I confronted them polightly, they got rude.

I have been going trough Whalen Tire for almost 5 years now- I was recommended to them by MRL. I have to say the customer service there has been very horrible lately. The front desk guy treated me so horrible there last week. I walked in and he looked up and saw me and walked out the side door to have a cigarette. Really? Im not more important than a cigarette?!? Ive spent a lot of money there in the last year- Definitely will be re thinking where I do business from now on...

I rarely, if ever, comment on or “rate” businesss or products. However Whalen Tire has more than earned my hearty recommendation. My wife and I pull a 5th wheel and do a lot of traveling. We found ourselves in Missoula this August and in need of an oil change for our diesel pickup truck. Whalens promptly scheduled an appointment and seemed very pleasant and knowledgeable. Unfortunately we discovered some issues relating to their work on the truck a few days later after we got to South Dakota. We had another shop take care of those issues and incurred a fairly significant bill. I figured we were probably just out this money but decided to contact Whalens. I was not optimistic. I dealt with a gentleman named George Richter. I am embarrassed to say I am not sure if he is the owner or manager, but I do know this; he is an extremely reasonable gentleman and also conducts business with a rare level of integrity. Maybe we are all too skeptical of receiving good customer service in this day and age but I was amazed at the pride Whalens takes in its work and the outstanding integrity and service given by Mr. Richter on their behalf. We will not hesitate to use their services again when we are nearby.

I was traveling through Missoula and noticed my left front tire on my RV was wearing heavily on the outside shoulder. The guys at Whalen Tire were more than helpful and did a great job on a front end alignment and oil change. A lot of places I called did not do work on RVs or large trucks. When I picked my RV up I asked for their opinion on replacing the front tires since one was very worn even though I only had 10,000 miles on them. They didnt pressure me at all but simply cautioned me to keep a close on eye them. When I decided to replace them anyway they got them changed in 20 minutes and had me on my way. They were very competent and straightforward which was important for me as I am not from this area. I would utilize them for all my vehicles if I lived in the Missoula area.

The best tire repair shop in town

I dont understand the negativity about this place, and let me tell you why. On our way to Eastern Idaho, about 100 miles west of Missoula, we blew our tire. After prompt response from AAA, we had our spare on and we headed to Missoula for repairs. This place could not have had better customer service, the facility was clean and tidy and within 20 minutes, we were back on the road. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Missoula area, or those driving through, for all of your tire needs.

They were very honest and helpful. I recommend this place.

Brought car in for tire swap but one was a spare on the car cuz that tire had been removed by someone else. Still charged me for 4 tire disposals! All for new tires were over inflated by 10-12 pounds! Way over torqued lug nuts.

This place is a joke. When you set a appointment for a time you dont make them wait over 2 hours till they have to leave for another appointment and tell them they will get you right in. Then charge a full price no cut when 7 hours later you finally get it done. Do your damn job. Poor place crap.
