This was the second time I’ve leased a Subaru and the first time working with the guys at Subaru of Missoula. I will say, they were extremely transparent throughout the negotiation process, responsive to all of my questions, very thorough, and genuinely friendly! All the right ingredients to make a trustworthy dealer. Nathan made himself available as we worked out all the minor details— even on his day off via text! I am very grateful for his efforts. JD did the walk around— he was so friendly and welcoming, he made me feel like I was part of the family. He hopped right in the car and helped me learn all the features. He fixed a few settings for me and offered some solid advice. Zach is a no BS kinda guy— I was in and out of his finance office with paperwork in-hand, all questions answered, in only 15 minutes. I highly recommend the sales team here. Whomever is doing the hiring has a real knack for what Subaru customers are looking for. Well done guys!

Recently stopped in at this dealership in order to check out Outbacks. Worked with Justin Ludeman (one of the Sales Advisors), who is one of the best Ive worked with -- straight-forward, knowledgeable, likable, real. It was a real pleasure working with him (and why I decided to write this review). We left that day with the car we wanted, and an experience that was significantly better than past experiences (at other dealerships).

17 days.At the time of my writing this it has been 17 days since I initially brought my car in for minor repairs. I paid $300 for issue diagnostics and $2,600 for repairs. When I picked my car up it had a check engine light and could not properly regulate rpm. It was stalling and less drivable than when I dropped it off. I brought it back in, and ever since I have been struggling to get real answers and service for my car.When I brought my car initially I figured Id pay more for better service and more rapid repairs; when you take your car to a dealership you expect a premium service. Now Im out just shy of $3,000 and just shy of three weeks.Its Friday and it looks like Ill hit three weeks by the time I get it back, if I ever get it back.Edit.After $3k and three weeks they finally tell me that the entire engine needs to be replaced. To clarify, they charged me for diagnostics and repair THEN told me what the actual issue was. They offered no refund.Do not give these crooks your money.

Today my wife and I were blessed by God with our new car from Subaru of Missoula. It is a Toyota Rav4. The Salesperson, Alex Mckenzie, did a phenomenal job of helping us! He answered all of our questions about the car, helped us to get the financing we needed, and best of all he was not pushy-Thank You Alex. He was super friendly, professional, and genuine. I really recommend working with him if you are going to buy from Subaru of Missoula. He even made sure the car had a full tank of gas.Also, the new building is really nice!The car is running great!

I don’t own a Subaru but my mother does. She had left her car while she flew out for a trip and I went to move it after sitting for a week and the battery was dead. She was due back that Saturday and unfortunately their service department is closed on the weekends. My mother lives in Troy, MT being very remote I really wanted to get it replaced before she drove home. I called the dealership and the salesman said that the service department was closed but he would talk to his GM and see if he could at least get in to sell me one. I got a call back from Mike the GM a few minutes later and gave him the gist of my urgency to get the battery installed and he said to bring it in and he would have a guy come in to get the battery. As much as I hate to have someone come in to work on their day off he said it was no big deal. I showed up and was prepared to change out the battery but his service guy was actually the guy coming in and they took the car back and changed it out. Honestly, probably the best service I’ve ever received from any dealership and it wasn’t even my car. My hadn’t even bought the car there or done any service there but Mike was very helpful and so casual about helping that I was very impressed. Thank you to Wayne as well for coming in to service the car. Hands down, true MT people and service.

Dont Waste Your Time!Scheduled an appointment with Nathan (sales associate) to check out a used vehicle we had been talking to him about for our daughter who just started college. Drove two hours and when we arrived were greeted by another associate who told us, Unfortunately, Nathan is busy right now. Turns out he was selling the car we had made appointment to see. He didnt even have the professionalism to call or text to save us the trip or come out to speak with us. Suppose he secured the sale of this vehicle by telling others he had another interested party. Happy Labor Day weekend, Nathan! Hope nobody wastes 4 hours of your time on this beautiful weekend! After reading other reviews, you probably saved us from a terrible experience anyway!

I brought my Sons Subaru in and just from listening to it Dan knew what was wrong and instead of charging us an arm and a leg to get it replaced he suggested a better option for us. They made $0 and got us to a place that fixed the issue quickly and on the cheap. That doesnt happen at most places. Take your Subaru here they treat you right.

Had a wheel stud broken off at another provider. Was passing through late on a Friday and asked if there was any chance they could get me in to replace the stud. Half hour later I was back on the road. Rarely see dealerships go out of their way to provide great timely service. Thanks Jack!

Absolute worst repair experience I have ever had. Service techs were rude. I had a flat and had Subaru Roadside tow me to these clowns.I left car overnight. Told to come back in the morning. Waited about 2 and 1/2 hours only to be told their tire diagnostic machine was not working. Come back the next day and maybe it would be working.I am 500 miles from home. Called AAA to tow me to Les Schwab tires instead. Rude counter help + plus incompetent service.Expected better from Subaru. This was a fail all the way around.

I recently bought a vehicle from Subaru of Missoula. I worked with Thomas Bond. He was extremely helpful. I had a specific idea of what kind of car I was looking for. I sent that to him and he got back to me asking if I wanted to test drive a car that wasnt out on the lot yet. I test drove it and signed the paperwork later that day. He made sure the car was next in line for the inspection and detailing and he called me several times to update me on the status. I also worked with several other people in the finance and sales department and they were all great. I had a very positive and painless experience. Based on mt experience I would definitely recommend Thomas Bond and the rest of the team at Subaru of Missoula.

I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with their service! I went for a quarterly oil change and check for my car. I scheduled for a drop off because I am a single mother who has to run errands on a day off. However, when I came to the service center, I was told by the guy in the counter that there is no definite time when my car will be done because I scheduled it for drop off. He told me that I have until 6pm for my car to be done. I had no choice but to agree. I was told that someone will drive me to where I needed to be while my car is fixed. I waited for their driver for AN HOUR!!! Imagine waiting for a driver for 1 hour!! A total waste of time! I could have done a lot of errands. My 1 hour wait time could have been utilize waiting for an oil change in another service center!!!

Extremely unprofessional! Upon my girlfriends arrival for a scheduled oil change she was made to wait for over 2 hours. After leaving a review she attempted to pick up her vehical but not before an extremely uncomfortable, accusatory, and unprofessional conversation regarding the review, which might I add had just been put up by her. The gentleman clearly read her profile, weird right, asked why she gave the review and when she gave justifiable reasons for the bad review he proceeded to say that his family would be effected if she did not remove the review. What? Focus on the job and not reading the google reviews on the clock and harassing patrons regarding said reviews, and I can almost guaranty there will be less negative reviews like this. It would have been 1 star but I gave 2 stars in consideration of the fact that there is a major issue with businesses not being able to get descent employees. I am an employer and I can empathize. Subaru and businesses everywhere are forced to deal with these types of employees, for now.

After having such a good experience a couple of years ago, we went back for a second car and were once again very happy with Suburu of Missoula. Our salesman Nate was very kind, personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. Adam in finance was also very pleasant. Dishonest, greedy, and terrible service in the sale/finance departments. My lease agreement clearly states the residual value of my vehicle and thus my end-of-lease buyout value. When I went in to talk with finance (out of convenience), I was given a buyout quote that was far and above my contracted price as if it were something to be negotiated, with additional doc and acquisition fees, and an artificially inflated residual. Really Subaru!? I walked away shaking my head as they refused to see this was a problem. I dealt with my lender directly and was able to purchase the vehicle for the agreed upon price. Save your hard earned money and valued time and go to any other Subaru dealership in the surrounding area.

Ive been a resident in Missoula for 26 years and have bought several cars through other dealerships here in town. I have to say I loved my experience at Subaru of Missoula! I’ve been telling all my friends to go see Tom, the cute Irish salesmen! He’s fun and LOVED his accent! I could listen to him all day. Shaun got me a way better rate than I expected and gave me a fare price for my trade-in. I loved my experience there, I will definitely be going back when it’s time to trade-in. Very disappointed with my recent visit to the service department. Multiple people were in the waiting area not wearing masks, and the Subaru staff was not asking them to comply with the county mandate to wear masks. On top of that, the staff of the parts and service departments were also not masked when speaking to me. I was disgusted by all of this. I thought Subaru was a progressive company (and I get multiple emails each week from Subaru claiming to care about people and the planet). Apparently this doesn’t translate to following CDC recommendations and local government mandates during a global pandemic. Really disappointing.

Took my 2012 subaru impreza for a diagnostic check for a check engine light. I had replaced my break lights 2 days prior and had my wife look to see if they worked, when they told me both my break lights were out i was suspicious. Went and paid for the diagnostic and took my car home. Looked at my breaklights and flipped them around, amd they worked perfect. May have been tampering, maybe not. Either way, if it was, thats a skeevy way to try and squeeze $50 out of someone who may not know much about cars.

Awesome service. I received four free oil changes when I bought my new outback in Salt Lake. I moved to Seeley Lake a couple of months ago and they were willing to fulfill the last two free oil changes I received when I bought the car. They changed my oil for free and were able to swap out my snow tires to my summer tires. They had me in and out in an hour and a half with an appointment. I will definitely be back to them for service on all my cars. A shout out to Kyle in service, great job man. Thanks for taking great care of me and my car.

If youre trying to buy a new Subaru make the extra Drive Billings or Helena bought a brand new 2021 Subaru Outback onyx was the worst car buying experience in my whole entire life didnt even get offered a cup of coffee or a drink of water I was treated like a subhuman and they had a attitude of well weve got it do you want it or not also our brand new car already had a hundred and forty miles on it apparently they dont understand that you can put a car on a flatbed when transferring from another dealership there were food crumbs in the cup holders and grease stains on the upholstery and the whole experience left us thinking wow I sure wish Lithia sold Subarus

Poor experience with the service department. I scheduled my service for 1pm this afternoon for my 50,000 mile service and oil change. The technician I spoke with said they could be flexible with my schedule because I had to drive an hour and a half to get there from out of town and had to take off from work to make this appointment work. I arrived today a few minutes after 1 and was told that they had scheduled me for 12 despite telling me I could come in at 1 and there was no way they could take care of my car today.Thanks for nothing, now Im out half a days work, three hours of driving and gas, and Im looking at having to repeat the process to take care of my vehicle.I will not be back and do not recommended the service department here unless youre retired or unemployed and can work with their ridiculous schedule.

Called in kind of last minute today to see if there were any openings, I was told there was one and that they could get me in around 4, after I let them know my crosstrek needed the recall service as well they were able to squeeze me in by 3 and got my oil changed and the recall serviced in just two hours. Super inconvenient that they are now closed on Saturday’s. I work Monday through Friday until 6 and so now I’m completely unable to get any work done here without taking work off. I ended up getting an oil change on a trip to Bozeman since their Subaru dealership is open on Saturday’s. Closing Saturday’s takes away a HUGE group of your loyal customers. Great service, but I’m unable to use it.

Just bought a Forester Sport from Subaru of Missoula, the whole experience was easy and painless. Bud Gee was our salesman and he was great. Knew the Subarus inside and out, was helpful, informative and friendly. He took us on a test drive, explained all the vehicles options, and had us drive the Forester. Dan in service thoroughly explained what was needed, found an inexpensive rental (we live 45 miles away) and kept us informed every step of the repair. Car wasnt turning over, and on a Friday an hour before closing, these amazing reps and techs thought they were only replacing a battery. Rather than telling me to come back another time, they ended up working past quitting time to fix a more complicated issue. I got my mother to the airport at the crack of dawn the next morning all thanks to Subarus excellent service!

If 5 stars is for a place that delivers everything theyd promised, Id have to give 6 stars to Kendall Subaru for delivering even more.The Kendall website describes the Kendall Way as being more than selling and servicing vehicles. Its about doing the right thing. Well, Kendall proved this to be true. Wed helped our aging parents through the process of buying a Certified used vehicle, only to find that this particular one seemed to be a lemon from the start, with an elusive stalling problem. Kendall assured us that for them to sell a certified vehicle that was a lemon, -this was unheard-of. They went the extra mile many times over to make the situation right, even offering to exchange the vehicle. Our parents were delighted with the exchange, and we are pleased to know that they have Kendall standing so solidly behind them. Kendall does the right thing.Update Jan 2014: Just discovered leaking head gaskets, but wed encouraged our parents to buy the optional warranty. Kendall stood behind the warranty (no attempts to weasel out), and even put them in a sweet loaner while the car was in the shop. Most thankful for Kendall all over again. :-)

We had decided to purchase our first Subaru after extensive research and test drove the Ascent at an Oregon and Spokane dealership. After calling numerous Subaru dealerships in several states for pricing, I was set to fly to Colorado to purchase our vehicle. We had to order the Ascent and Charlie kept us updated on the progress and answered any questions we had along the way. He went out of his way to deliver the vehicle to us on our schedule which meant he came in on his day off while the dealership was closed. We traveled from Kalispell to Missoula. He thoroughly explained all the details and never rushed us or pressured us in any way. The whole experience was very satisfying and it could not have been easier to make this big purchase. I would highly recommend Charlie and Subaru of Missoula to everyone.

Wow....what great customer service. I went in to buy a 9.00 part and those folks made me feel a king. They know how to treat customers and treat them well. One of the techs greeted me as I was walking by the bay doors and escorted me to the parts counter. If they made me feel this good about buying a 9.00 part, I cant imagine how good they would make me feel about buying a car.

Bruce is amazing. This was hands down the easiest car purchase either myself or my husband has ever had. I searched high and low for this particular car for several weeks and by sheer luck, one had been traded in over the weekend and Bruce was able to put me in it in less than 45 minutes.Also, wow on the service and safety! The minor things wrong with my new car (its used so that happens) are all being dealt with before I even get to bring her home. Really honest, fair, reasonable, and friendly dealership. Especially Bruce!

I have Purchased from several different dealerships in Washington and here in Missoula and this was by far my best experience. My salesman Jaimie was top notch. I picked the cheapest car on the lot, Yet treated me like I was buying a brand new one. From the first email to when he handed me the keys, he gave 110%. He was very patient, wasn’t pushy and showed great integrity. He Answered all of my calls and emails in a timely manner and gave me helpful answers. He also was very adaptable to my crazy work schedule and drove to Hamilton on my delivery route to help me close the deal. He was also creative in finding the right loan for me.
