I was waiting outside in my car for my friend to arrive at the salon so that we could get our nails done together. The male at the salon came outside to ask if I was coming in and I let him know that I was waiting for a friend first and that she would be there in less than 10 min, and we would be doing just simple gel manicures. He came out 5 min later, this time came to my car and opened my car door (even though I had the window open to speak to him) saying that I didnt need to wait for my friend and that I should come in now to start on nails. I shouldve bailed at this point but my friend said to give it a chance since we were on a time crunch. The two ladies that did our gel manicures both messed up and cut us up pretty bad. I thought it was just me and the lady I got but my friends fingers were also cut multiple times. They also didnt have a lot of the gel colors that we picked out. On the third try she finally had one I wanted and the 2nd try for my friend. My friends nail tech actually ended up switching the nail color on her though because she said it was too light for her skin tone. My friend said it was fine and thats what she wanted but the nail tech got up and picked a different bottle and just did her nails in the new color instead.I definitely would not recommend this place. Ive never had a nail tech come out and open my door to try to get me inside. That was completely inappropriate for him to do. The nail techs rushed the whole time (which is why I think they ended up cutting us so easily and drawing blood). They werent very nice either and were pushing us to get full sets instead of just gel manicures, they asked us both 3 separate times.

Awful. Pedicure was hurried. They did not take time to clean the nail beds and cuticles or the sloppy polishing job. Gel nail polish all over our skin. Asked for designs and the response was good luck and she slopped a design on that looks like a kindergartener did it.

I decided to give this place another try after not coming for a while. I showed up and asked for a full set with gel polish. Andy said it would be a 10 minutes but if I wanted to get a pedicure I would be seen right away. So I figured, why not? They sat me in the pedicure chair and had me put my feet in (luke warm water) and I sat there for 35 minutes. It probably would have been longer if I hadnt called out to him to ask how much longer it would be. He left the lady whos nails he was working on and another woman took over. He rushed through my pedicure, cutting my big toe twice. Worst pedicure I have ever gotten. If I am going to pay $60 I expect to get the service I paid for. During my pedicure the lady doing my nails came over with her portable drill and started my manicure. As she was sizing the acryllics for my nails, she was putting them in the cup holder of the pedicure chair. I had told them before this that I wouldnt have time to get my nails done since I had to wait so long for the pedicure. She glued the nails on and went to attend to other walk in customers. I felt as if that was done on purpose so I would have to stay for her to finish them. FINALLY got called to her chair to get them finished and that too was rushed. The nails are lumpy, uneven and my gel polish (less than 24 hours later) is already peeling off. Oh! and she went and grabbed a nail dryer from the pedicure station. She used the same metal plate that goes on the bottom that someone already had their feet on! I would NOT recommend this place. It has really gone down hill.

We have always used this nail salon and so were pretty sad with the experience we received today. Both my husband and I were very unhappy with the service as it felt like poor quality pedicures and manicure. When I called the store to talk to them about it the gentleman said if we came back they would do a better job. But then I received a call from the owner that I missed, tried to call her back and then shortly after received the following text from her(see picture attached). Two people walked out while we were there and I dont think we will ever go back now. My toes were not easy as I am extremely ticklish but I have never had a pedicure look this bad and my husband one foot was filed down and the other was not. For the manicure I still had a lot of skin on the side of the nails that I had to ask her multiple times if she would clip off. Would not recommend this nail salon to anyone.

Very painful experience the older woman made me bleed and she was very rough, the nails were so crooked on the sides and front. I asked for my cuticles to get pushed back and she refused because she said the file took them away. When she filed the acrylic nail down she didn’t have me wash the powder off she just kept going so you can see the dust particles in the nail. The white lines on the nail were so crooked and she got white polish on the sides of my fingers. ☹️ very disappointed Looks very different from the picture i wanted.

I’m not usually one to complain but my nails were done with poor quality. My nails were done so quick and did not care if I actually liked them or not. Just wanted me in and out. This is what I wanted compared to what I got. I even asked if this was a service she was capable of doing and she said yes otherwise I would of been fine doing something else. Some of the lines aren’t even finished all the way and the nail polish is washed away in some places. I will not be coming here again.

I had to come to this salon as another salong (Serenity Nails) in North Mankato messed up my nails so badly (see pictures of what I wanted, what they did and after Kim fixed my nails). I was so impressed with how she reshaped and was actually able to get the look I wanted for my nails. I will definitely be going back to this salon to get my nails done again!

Hey friends you got check out my new nail guy Andy!So I planned on going to get my pedi done at the usual but I made a pit stop at Home Depot and as I was driving by I noticed this little nail salon on the way, Top Nails. What the heck, lets try somewhere different 🤷‍♀️I have to say, WHAT A GREAT FIND!!! This will be my new nail place!! Curious to why, get in there and ask for Andy! You wont be disappointed 😁

I am new to the area and needed a pedicure. I used the reviews to choose this salon. I had a fabulous experience. As I was receiving a great pedicure, I decided to get a manicure. What I liked best about both services was she was very thorough and paid very close attention to my nails. I will return!

Would never go to this salon again.!!! we had appointments for 10 people for a wedding .they kept taking walking during our appointment time. Made the bride wait for 2 hours while they took to other walk in between her appointment. 4 of the bridesmaids nails gel polish chipped off with in 24 hours. We live 1 1/2 hours from salon . Called and will not do anything for us. Horrible service. Stay away for this salon .

We have tried this nail salon twice and both times it was horrible. We waited for over two hours the first time to get our nails done and we had made appointments in advance. Our pedicure water was cold and by the time they finally got to us they were very rushed. The acrylics looked thick and lop sided. The second time we went there we waited for an hour after our appt time before we finally just walked out. They either need to book with better time management or plan ahead. Honestly I will never go back. Poor service and poor quality. Our first visit was about a year ago but we tried the salon again a couple of months ago and it was still just as bad.

I called Saturday towards the end of their day and they waited for my daughter and I to arrive and stayed past their closing time to finish a pedicure and manicure. This meant so much to us as we only had hours together while she was visiting from Colorado. Very friendly and professional.

Great experience! My feet feet great and the nail polish they put on is immuculate. I did have to wait quite a while as I came in a Saturday during peak time but I enjoyed the experience immensely!

My experience at Top Nail was 9/10... customer service was 9/10. The nail tech was very detailed in her work. The place is clean and has a vast array of nail polish. They are quick to respond to calls and are always willing to squeeze you into an appointment. No long wait times but I expect that to change. They are great and respectful.

I will never go here again. Im getting married in a few days so I set up an appointment earlier this week. I was motioned to a chair, waited half an hour with my feet in cold water, nobody helped me. I ended up walking out. They were completely overbooked and nobody was going to be helping me any time soon.

I use to love going here, but lately they have been absolutely horrible! if its not a hour wait when you actually have an appointment its nails breaking or paint peeling off within a day or two of getting them done. I broke a nail putting on a my shoe and the paint was peeling off half of my nails 2 days after getting them done. I got charged to change colors when I didnt want to put the same color that was peeling off back on. Very disappointed in their business and what its turned into.

I’ve been in the Mankato area for three years now and have STRUGGLED to find a nail salon that lives up to the standard of my previous regular salon, which is three hours away in my home town. I’ve bounced around to nearly every salon in the area, but Top Nails is amazing! The techs take their time to make sure your nails are exactly how you want them and they do great work overall. I will definitely be back!!

I made an appointment and still waited an hour to get my nails done because they kept taking walk-ins. I got gel acrylic and they were breaking off within a week. Absolutely horrible experience for the money I paid!

Very great service and sweet workers. Got a French pedicure done and it was perfect!

Kim does not do well with shaping nails each nail was a different sharp and none of them were the shape I asked for. I told her they were not the shape I asked for she told me it was. Then the next time I tried Lauren she also was not able to do the shape I asked and she charged me $30 extra with no explanation of why.

The workers are very nice and friendly the service was great highly recommend coming here.

My daughters nails came out decent. Just gel for her since shes 4. Tried for a Easter design. We both got out ties matching which wasnt the color we requested (pink) we got purple!! We worked with that. When it came time to do a full on my nails it took a turn for the worst. Left with glue and acrylic all over my nails after requesting it to be taken off. Left paying $95 and very unhappy. Was told my nails were free?! Not sure what that meant. Would not recommend!!

I’ve been in the Mankato area for 5 years and Kim has by far been one the best nail techs I’ve had!! She takes her time and makes sure my nails are flawless. I highly recommend her!!!

A friend and I had an appointment at 2:15, was seated right away and it started out a very good experience. After putting acrylics on three fingers, the guy got up and he wasnt seen again for about 30 minutes at least, without explanation. When he came back out, he was not helping anyone else and was just standing for another 10 minutes. The lady who took over was very nice and did a very good job.

Mary and Andy are AMAZING!! The spa pedicure felt great and they took their time! Would 100% recommend them!

My sister, niece and I had made a appointment and waited over a hour to be helped. My sisters nails were messed up! They filed her nail down to nothing!! it was almost raw!! She even said that it hurt and they made fun of her! She asked for red color she got orange, when she said somthing again they didnt hear her out. She had nails that were put on crooked. My nieces nails fell off the next day. Mine werent done to the base of the nail I left looking like I needed a fill. I give it a 2 star and not just one because there prices werent bad and the lady My niece and I had was very nice. But other than that. Terrible!!

Went in with myself and my 4 kids. They were too busy for us even with an appointment. My nails look like complete garbage after mot even a week. Nails are also separating from the acrylic nails. I dont want a fungus. Wont be going back even after spending 3 hours and 230 bucks there. All 4 of my daughters got manis and pedis, their nails have many imperfections. Not what I expected for the money.

I’ve come to this place a total of 3 times. first time, i made an appointment and they didn’t get me in for 45 minutes. the guy just kept telling me “2 more minutes.” second time, i was just going in for a new gel paint job, hany did amazing, was very friendly, and reshaped all of my nails without me even asking at no cost. i went today for the third time, sat there for about 25 minutes before they got me in, as i made an appointment for this as well. then they started on someone’s nails that walked in about 15 minutes after i did. they then got to me after i said something, i mentioned several times the issues i had with my nails and she’d just file a tiny bit and ask if it was “better?” my nails are very bulky and not smooth. she also seemed quite in a hurry. not super impressed and not worth $45!

Got a set of acrylics before I left my hometown to come to our sons wedding in Minnesota. They did not look very good, so came here and they fixed them and my nails looked wonderful for the wedding!

I went in for a scheduled appointment with my sister and cousin. We sat for two hours waiting to get our nails done after our pedicures. I ended up leaving without my nails done because the tech told me that she didn’t have time. I was asked to come back the next day but I told her that I had no time because i had to go out of town. There was a nail tech available and she skipped right over me to do someone’s nails who came in two and a half hours after me. I was so livid and will probably not return.

We had appointments and was there for hrs thought about leaving. Did have the color they offered to start with. I thought it was really cool they could make and color to of my my toenails that has been removed. But only 3 days and one has already came off GURRR

I loved this place. It was my first time here and was treated amazing. They were very friendly and very clean. In this times us uncertainty I was glad to be able to get my feet done and not have to worry about my health. They were seeking with social distancing rules and masks and took extra steps to make sure everything was clean and sanitized. I really recommend this place. Their deluxe package for pedicures was amazing and affordable and my nail professional (Mary) really knew what she was doing. I am definitely coming back.

Came here with a friend about a year ago and it was only my second time getting acrylics. ALWAYS love how they look when they are done. I have really sensitive skin/nails and they are always very gentle. My favorite place in Mankato!

We love to come to Top Nails for pedicures and manicures. They do a great job! The chairs are comfy, my nails last 3 weeks & the foot/leg massage is amazing.

We walked in for 3 pedicures, they only have 2 nail techs in on Mondays & Tuesdays so they kind of did us in shifts which was fine- they did a great job, weall chose the spa pedicure. Took about an hour and a half.

I had an appointment and wasn’t even started until an hour and half after my appointment. I asked for my nails to be shortened and he wouldn’t shorten them. Then when I asked for the shape he said “I got this.” Then when I picked the color I wanted they put another color on and said “well this complements you better.”I have been to this shop multiple time, however it shouldn’t take 2 hours and 15 mins to get nails done.

August 31 2020 Update:I went in for a manicure after not being at the salon since January. A younger man I hadnt seen before did my manicure and he managed to tear up my cuticles on 7 of my fingers. The three worst ones just throb today. I dont know if he was rushing or inexperienced. Ive always had great pedicures, but had to update my review based on my manicure experience yesterday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I saw the grand opening sign and decided to stop in. Andy did my Deluxe pedicure and it was out of this world! The exfoliating leg massage was the best I ever had and his attention to detail was amazing. We had a hard time understanding each other a bit, but he was so apt to please. I was the only person in the shop for most of my pedicure, so I imagine I got a little extra attention because they were slow. But still, the massage portion was three times longer than any other I have had. Hands down my new place to come! The shop was hopping when I left so I hope this new business thrives!

This was my first time at this salon and it was amazing! Mary spent at least 45 minutes on my pedicure and the environment was spa like. They were very professional and were ready for our appointments right when we walked in the door. Definitely coming back in the future!

Very good quality nails, got just what I asked for. Also very nice service :)Also everyone there was just super friendly all around,When I got my nails done they did super well on the coffin shape I wanted, I find a lot of the time nail salons leave them super boxy and not the shape I wanted. Super sweet to me and my mother, also they let me sit in the massage chair which was an added bonus ☺️

Had an appointment sat and waited over 20 min he did a rush job because so many people were waiting scraped the skin on one toe and cut my nails so short he pulled the partially clipped nail down into the skin wont go back there again so many people waiting for a long time to get in I could have done a better job at home very disappointed!

I usually go on weeknights when its less busy. Its quiet and they do a fantastic job. They took the extra time to work out an issue with my toenail. Very clean and friendly. My new favorite place to get a pedicure. (I dont get manicures but I have heard nothing but good things for getting your nails done too.)
