Planning on canceling my black card membership. I came with my 13 year old sister as my guest, with our masks. Usually when my white mother brings her for her workouts, they say its fine and nothing is scanned or checked, but When I come in, The age limit is 14 and Im was demanded to show guardian documentation to enter. The manor that Alexandra?just felt real cold, and I felt discriminated, but whatever, Im used to this. I want nothing to do with the chain after this, and my family is thinking the same.

The staff knows me by name. I’ve connected with many of them. The members all take care of each other. We’re like a family in there. The place is spotless at all times. AND they know my daughter by name and make her feel so welcome there too. She’d rather go workout, than go shopping.

Great fitness gym and very friendly and helpful staff. Eric is the general manager, always greeting people and keeping the operation neat and clean. Can get crowded, attracts a younger crowd. Lots of exercise equipment, good showers with hot water everytime I am there. 5 stars, definitely recommend.

One of the only gyms that stated the Social Fitnessing policy but never enforced it. In these times it goes without saying that there should be a reasonable distance between patrons. If you want to work out on top of each other by all means this is the location for you...just get tested regularly. In addition, i had a rather unprofessional encounter with Eric on several instances. I will be following up with a formal complaint.

Porsche at the front desk was super helpful and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions and went out of way to walk me through a few things. She has amazing customer service skills. Thank you Porsche!

They got everything you need here to get a good workout in. Can be busy at times around 5pm. Front staff is friendly

Everyone was professional and the ability to socially distance was easy. Some machines were blocked for that but I still did not have to wait to workout. Plenty of cleaning stations too. The only reason I gave a 4 is because Manassas currently does not have a trainer

I noticed that my review from yesterday is not showing! I wrote a very long review about the bad experience I had with Eric at the Manassas Planet Fitness and got a response from someone, giving an email address I could write to. I cant find my review or the response, so now Im not able to write to them about the experience!

The whole staff at my local PF are incredible!!! They take the time to be personable and really show that they care for each one of their members. The management team has remained constant since we first began coming to this location almost four years ago which proves their business model is one that places value in its employees by maintaining a solid and committed staff. I must say that our current global pandemic situation brings pause to our leaving the household, but we are confident in PFs cleaning measures and added security in upholding CDC recommendations in keeping us safe and ensuring we can remain healthy in our workout regimens. Thank you to Jenifer and Eric and their dedicated staff! Each of you are so very important in helping your members maintain a sense of normality in their lives during a very dismal time.

Staff and front desk is nice. But lunk alarm went off very loudly and I barley dropped the weights. For all the talk of not being intimidating, the lunk alarm is the most intimidating thing I have seen at a gym.Reply to the owner:If the alarm goes off very loud over small sound of dropping the weight (was not loud enough for anyone to notice), then it actually creates an intimidating and suppressed environment. And the alarm is VERY LOUD. It alarms and intimidates everyone at the gym. No one was distracted, until that alarm went off. Then EVERYONE was distracted. If you screaming at someone to NOT BE INTIMIDATING you are the one that has become very intimidating.

Im new to going to the gym and this is the perfect place to get started. The staff are all friendly and willing to give you tours, and theyre being very diligent about sanitation right now so all the equipment is very clean. All of the equipment is spaced out so you can social distance easily- and its open 24 hours if youd like to avoid the after-work crowds. I upgraded to a Black Card membership and the red light therapy and massage is worth the extra 10. You can also tan there and go to any gym if you upgrade. Ive had a great experience so far!

That was my first time I went to that place and it was amazing because of Joanna at the main counter she helped me to sign up and also she showed me around The facility amazing experience highly recommended especially some massage chair and massage bed.

I feel bad reviewing this place at this present time, but this was my only visit here and they happened to be in the midst of a renovation. Pretty sure the place will be nice when theyre finished, but right now its a mess!The mens and womens rooms have been swapped. Thats right guys, no urinals for you. The toilets stunk to high heavens. There was only one functioning sink in the bathroom.Again, I dont want to trash the place, but as of 26 September 2018, Im giving a do not recommend. Will make a point of checking back sometime later and updating this review.

The mornings seem to be the perfect time to go. They are keeping on top of cleaning and sanitizing. Have a decent amount of machines to use. Due to covid a lot of them are shut down for social distancing purposes though. They have cleaning posts all over the gym.

If I have the chance to give a -10 I would! walked inside the place and tried to used the bathroom before they give me any information about how to become a member and they didnt let me used unless i signed the form or fill the paperwork very ridiculous costumer service I really was in a need of a Gym but definitely will not pick this one not even for free and even more offensive it was the manager Eric very very poor management!

Covid era operation hours are more or less behind us, so lets get back to the 24/7 operations already especially for weekends.

The atmosphere the equipment and the friendly staff. My only issue now is the limited hours on Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday, I work in retail so I work until 8pm every night and 5pm on Sundays so I cannot come on Friday, Saturday or Sundays as before I could come after work and do a workout 5-6 days a week. I hope the hours go back to 24/7 very soon

Very poor customer service I cancel myMembership 5 month due to meMoving to another state . I stillGot charger the 5 month continuously . Until The first of this month they charged me39.99 annual feel called them again finally they cancel I ask for a refund on the 39.99 ONLY and the manager refuse too refund me . Very rude and unprofessional did not care at all .I wouldn’t recommend this place at all .

A decent gym for the price.Facilities are cleaned regularly by staff. They are trying to maintain social distancing by blocking some machines. Gym goers are also provided spray bottles so they can wipe down the machines before/after use.

The gym is always clean, the staff is very friendly and always helpful. The price is right and love that they dont cater to the body builder types with equipment and attitude. And I love all of my black card privileges! Being able to bring a workout partner with, the tanning, massage chairs and my very favorite, the body enhancement! If I get leg cramps or charlie horses, 10 minutes in the body enhancer and they are gone!

They are nice until you decide to cancel membership.I recently went to the gym to cancel my membership, and the guy on the front desk said he cancelled my membership. After few days, I noticed my card was charged with annual fee. I contacted the gym over the phone and they said they never cancelled it. I explained everything when I came to the gym but they didn’t listen and refused to issue my refund and hung up on me. I tried reaching out multiple times and no response since then.I will never recommend this club to anyone.

I just started going back to the gym a week ago. I wasn’t sure where to go between either Retro Fitness or Planet Fitness but end up at Planet Fitness because everyone there especially the employees are so nice every time. They also had new improve machines, bathroom had been renovated & clean also. Keep up the great work guys!! Word of month does go a long way!!!

This is a great huge gym that has done the most I’ve seen of any planet fitness to protect against covid! It feels so safe to workout bc everyone gets a bottle to spray machines and you never see people not cleaning them. Thankful for this!

It’s been more than a year that I’m with planet fitness and following are the reasons to like it;1. value for money - you’ll never get such equipment in this price. I have been to anytime fitness and LA fitness, they have same machines but very high prices.2. With ‘Black card’ you can bring guest and go to any branch and use massage chairs etc - is a n awesome perk. (I recommend that massage chairs should be allowed to use by black card member guest but then member usage may be restricted) 3. Spacious building, never felt crowded and cleanliness.

Facility is clean.... However the staff should put some rules regarding how much time one could use equipment. Especially the racks at the front were their are people who use it over an hour and don’t care if others want to use it... waste of a 20 dollar membership and it is discouragingAlso to note these racks have plenty of space in-between them so why aren’t they open to use?

Staffs are very nice. But most of the people dont wear mask. They should mandate that

Planet FittnessManassas is very clean, they provide sanitizers for each member who come in .the machine cleaned Pre and post use by the sanitizer .the exercise machines has at least a 20 feet between them .I feel save going there

I’ve been to every planet fitness in the Nova area and honestly this is the best one I’ve worked out at. The staff is amazing and always on top of their game. You should definitely try the classes. Jessi (the trainer)is superb at what she does and really gets your butt in gear. Would go out of my way get in here any day.

One of the worker there was so rude because I start the 30 minutes workout in the wrong way I don’t get which is the diferente where you started special when is just me and another girl far away from me, when I tell him will move in the next minute he was so mad and almost stop me that make my whole day ruined.This same guy last week one of the paper dispenser was out of paper I let him know because for long time was like that he just go and start to talk with his coworkers and never put more paper until one of the new worker finds out and put more, yesterday he claim is a polity of the club in he is doing the for 7 years maybe is because he felt like that owner.

Great staff and pretty clean facility. The new upgrades are great. Synergy 360 rocks. And the two new hydro massage lounges are awesome. With the new expanded area, there is lots of room for the dumbbells section. Love how the 30 minute area is in it’s own area and the 60/30 seconds timer really helps. Five stars if they get one of those stretching cages, a heavy bag for the synergy 360, and heavier dumbbells. So, for now only four stars.

Super Friendly staff, Super clean and positive atmosphere. I have never felt more comfortable working out in a judgement free zone. I love it and recommend this gym!!

Love this place! The price is right, the staff is amazing, especially Andrew and I enjoy the freedom of going anytime. Working out on the vast amount of equipments, or taking a class with one of the instructors! Im already seeing results.🤗

Its the people. The people have welcomed me from day 1.Im by no means the greatest athlete so going to a judgement free zone means a lot to me.Having met much of the staff, they have always been caring and supportive. Its not just me, the other members I have spoken to feel the same way.Lately, its Dre and Cat when I come in to work out and theyre always ready with a greeting and a smile.The gym is well maintained too. Tony is excellent at keeping the place running smoothly. Hes also friendly and professional. I always enjoy seeing him when hes there and it adds a lift to my workout.I am also impressed at how clean the gym is kept with the new COVID strategy. The staff is embracing it and so are the members.I really love this Planet Fitness location. I feel at home here. Its the people who make the difference.

I came to this gym for a free trial that I called in previously to confirm and the manager contradicted the manager that I spoke, started this whole thing, wanted to call the other manager to fight about what was said, I got frustrated and asked again if I could have the free trial and he refused, this is a $30 gym and this guy is creating all this animosity like someone needs to workout for free, ridiculous worst customer service of my life. NEVER GOING BACK

I’ve been coming here for a very long time. The renovation was nice and much needed. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. My only complaints are; first, they pick the most annoying times to unplug and clean an entire row of treadmills at a time... however, they don’t get straight to it, so the machines stay inclined at maximum height and remain unplugged for a long time while members try to use them and are visibly annoyed. It would make more sense to clean them overnight rather than early morning or peak hours, very frustrating. Second, they have a “phone calls in the lobby only policy”.. that’s great! BUT— several members will sit on a machine and use their phones—tying up the already scarce machines rather than just staying at home in bed on their phones. We already have to wait a long time to rotate the machines since most of them only have ONE or TWO vs the many members who wait to use them. Maybe the employees can make rounds and ask the phone users to step to the lobby. Most people come to work out on limited time and then go to work/school so it’s a waste of time to lose your motivation as you become annoyed waiting on machines while people are just texting on them. Other than that, it’s a nice and quiet place to work out, hit the massage chairs, and go!

So, they want you to wear mask as you walk into the building but as soon as you walked in you can take it off. Literally, they make you wear mask for two steps. I tried to argue that this is dumb but they disagree.

Inexpensive. Clean. Blatant fit-shamers and hypocrites. You get what you pay for.I actually did talk to the staff about the fit-shaming (invented derogatory word directed at body-builders rather than behaviors; cartoons in the locker room that mock fit people). They said it was corporate policy. And no scales? So you cant track progress? Im all for an inclusive environment. Most people I know who are into fitness are more than receptive to others getting active. But pretending to be non-judgmental when you are clearly judgmental is silly.

I like the response that PF has to all the concerns of the Coronavirus. I felt very comfortable and confident in their efforts to ramp up the sanitization procedures. My only complaint is the people who I observed that either werent wearing masks or werent wiping down equipment after they used it. Although I acknowledge the fact that it will be difficult to enforce the use of masks, I think its inconsiderate of people who dont care about the precautions taken to prevent transmission of the virus. I will say that I was very pleased with my post Coronavirus experience at PF today and I am excited to return tomorrow. Thank you PF for taking the COVID pandemic seriously and showing members like me that you care about our concerns of health and safety.

Awesome place to workout. The environment is nice, the equipment they use are friendly and not confusing. The gym I go to seem to have just the right amount of everything. I especially love the fact that its a 24 hour gym. Im a 2:30/3:00am workout person so this really work for me.I only have 2 problems with this gym and That is1. They use the Smith machine free weights system for their bench. Its okay but it lacks range of motion, so I would suggest instead of the 6 smith machines put 2 actual free weight bench sets2. Their dumbbells only go to 65lbs. I know this is to prevent the grunting but they could go up to at least 80lbs.Excellent gym on the whole and the cost of membership is phenomenal.

Rude employees and its actually one of the most expensive planet fitness locations.

Ive tried many gyms. Im not a fit person but Im working on it. All I can say is theres no place like this one. I truly never feel judged and I can work out without feeling embarrassed. I love my planet fitness! PS... I absolutely love that with my black card I can go to any planet fitness and enjoy many of the other benefits that come with it.

Great gym super nice people

This will always be my favorite PF! Not because its the cleanest, the best location, or has the nicest equipment. Its truly the staff. Jennifer and her staff are the coolest group of men and young ladies that this location could have hired. I spent months in this gym daily, sometimes twice a day and they know you by name when you walk into this gym. Yeah its kinda like cheers the old 80s sitcom. Throughout the time I worked out in this PF they upgraded a lot of their cardio equipment and televisions. Its not the newest location but they honestly try to keep it running like a well oiled machine.

The gym is awesome place to workout any time of the day. But there isnt enough changing rooms, and some equipment isnt small enough for my frame. Other than that great place to work out

I attend this gym so obviously I like it alright! Tanning, massage chairs, and whatnot! I wish there was more options of equipment to use that wasnt assisted but I still get in a good workout!

I just had knee replacement surgery. Planet Fitness has the right equipment to help me through physical therapy. They are conveniently located for me. Ive never had a bad experience here. The staff is always attentive when I come in. Eric (Assistant Manager) is awesome and is always willing to help out. Locker room and showers and bathrooms are ALWAYS SPOTLESS! Highly recommend!

Clean facility. Only complaint is the cable machines. Im pretty sure the plates are weighted in kilograms but they arent labeled. This isnt my normal location so I had to figure out all over again what what weight I needed for each new exercise. Makes progress tracking a pain. Units of measurement are used for a reason PF!

Long time customer, signed up before the first piece of equipment was in place. Equipment is generally well maintained. Staff is professional and friendly. Only real complaint is the layout has changed several times over the past years and never for the better. Current layout is the worst yet. The stretching section is all across from the changing rooms. Which is a poor layout as stretching is the 1st step in a typical workout. Putting it so far from the changing room means inexperienced members may skip stretching and injure themselves. I had to ask where the section was moved to and its also small. Only 3 or 4 people can fit at the same time

It would be hard to find a better value than PF. I especially appreciate the ability to bring a friend for free. The one negative is that smart phone use should not be allowed when someone is not actually using a machine. Too many people sit idly on machines staring into their phones. Otherwise, a good experience.

I have been with this Planet fitness for a year and a half. My experience with them over that time period has been the best. The place is always clean, the staff friendly, the hours... (open 24-7) At $10.00 a month it just doesnt get better than that.The best part of all though really, is... that they call me by name, they know who I am and it feels like my place!

Clean atmosphere. Easy access.

Its nothing fancy but it has everything I need. I have rarely had to wait for equipment and Im always there during prime time. If youre a serious body builder this probably isnt the place for you. If youre just a regular person with a need to work out a few days a week, then this will probably work well for you. Besides you cant beat the price. Also, the hydro massage bed is amazing!

No judgment Zone, mainly not crowded, and great variety of equipment.

This is as good as it gets. For $10 a month you get a clean facility with enough machines and weights that are in excellent working condition. Ive been to other gyms in the area that are much more expensive that arent nearly as well maintained as this gym. I also like all of the fans - keeps me from breaking a sweat before I even start working out

I love this gym, but sadly I didnt like how the staff came and told me, we are closing now!because it was snowing.for future recomendation you guys should set up a closing time and let the people know you guys are closing a certain time. Like that people can finish there work out and people can get ready for work without a rush. This was very unprofessionalI never write bad reviews but management should be inform.

Friendly staff and good atmosphere to work out in.

Ive been a member of this particular location for over 4 months now, and the staff is always very cheerful and provides me help whenever I need it. They keep the place very clean (always seems to be someone running hither and yon with a mop, its great), including the bathrooms/showers, and the equipment is reasonably well-maintained.I dont think anyone should complain about lack of equipment, weight-training or otherwise--they come right out and say in ALL their advertisements, this is NOT the place for people looking to undergo massive weight training, so dont expect that equipment or environment. For $10/month with no contract, you get more than enough choices, machine-wise, and in a clean, friendly environment. Throw in an extra $10/month with 1-year contract, and you can use ANY gym location, unlimited tanning and hydro massage--its been a wonderful, worry-free experience for me. I am very happy with my choice!

I love planet fitness. I recently transfer my membership and was allow to use the gym during the transfer phase which takes about 3 days. The staff was super helpfuk and made me feel welcome. Thanks for being so kind.
