This is by far the WORST gym. This place is legit a joke. The trainers laugh and talk about people who do incorrect form. The equipment is always broke I am so glad I found a better gym. Coming into this ALWAYS made me feel uncomfortable Do yourself a favor and LEAVE THIS GYM

They should turn off the lights after everyone leaves the gym I find it very disrespectful that they turn off the lights Before everything goes out they should pay attention to that Everybody walking out on the dark If someone falls in the dark they may be in trouble.You can see the cameras and you’ll see what I’m talking about Monday sept 13 at 9:50 PM

This gym has been so good about cleanliness during these COVID times. I’ve been coming here a little over 3 years, very spacious I never feel like it’s too crowded like other gyms. Found my permanent gym!

A lot of equipment and I almost never have to wait to use machines or racks. They also do a great job at keeping everything clean and up to date

On the website it says they provide a free pass to check it out. After printing a free pass and upon arriving they said they dont do free pass at this time and thats the old sign from before closing. Ok, understood that. Then please remove the sign if it doesnt apply anymore. Second there is no daily pass as most of the other Gold Gyms provide. They just want to charge you a membership.If you want a good workout and good customer service check out the Fairfax Golds Gym location. Great service, clean location.

Easily the worst gym I’ve ever been to. The management team is rude and unprofessional. The training director secretly takes videos of people with bad form or doing odd exercises and posts them to his personal Instagram and Snapchat to roast them. @improving_lifestyles if you want to see for yourself.

Its good place for newcomers who want to start working out.

Equipment not taken care of, torn covers, various machines need replacement parts badly, staff acknowledges your comments but does nothing, water fountains are so bad its like sharing a straw with everyone, no bottle fillers, seated preacher is so cheap it hurts your back to use, standing preacher is in need of repair, lack of clamps for bench press, and I could go on. Spend more, go elsewhere

Great gym, been here a year. Only two cons, you can only use this hub. I travel a lot (weekly) so it’s no longer the gym for me. When I went to MD I told them I’m a member here in VA and she said it’s $20 to workout at their branch, where’s the member discount?!? Lol because it’s only about $7 for guests. I pay $35 already a month, not paying another $20 for one workout session. Second con is, some of the staff can be rude and it’s consistent (not just a “bad day”). They treat you like just another bill being paid (Exp. the women). And from my year here, they speak to each other more than the customers and are friendlier to each other more than the customers. Don’t bother me none though, I go workout and mind my business. Great gym overall, would be 5 stars if we could use any Golds or at least a membership that offered that.

The maintenance & cleanliness is impeccable at this facility. Plenty of parking space for everyone and most importantly it is a budget-friendly location. Just joined Golds Gym they charged me the initial sign-up fee which I was okay with. The next day I got news I had to return to Las Vegas Nevada for my job. I called the gym and said, I need to cancel my membership I will know longer be in Virginia to work out. I thought that would be the end of it. No they billed me for December and January and a 98.00 fee to my credit card. After I told them I would never set foot in their gym. Today, I called the gym and was hoping to speak to someone that could refund my money, but no she said, I need to submit a certified letter to cancel. Why? This is ridiculous. I want my funds back from November through January. Not once did I use the facility.

Definitely a more serious gym goers 2nd home. There are guys here that lift well over 600lbs and the place is geared that way. They have 3 floors dedicated to weights, machines and more one on one sessions. The staff are friendly and you can tell they work very closely and are friendly to each other which is always good. Definitely not for posers or ego lifters. Stick to la fitness for that.

Everything in the gym is great and in a great layout. Tons of equipment to choose from. Lots of different classes to choose from if youre into that. The only reason its not 5 stars for me is that the other gym users are pretty awful sometimes. I of course use headphones when I work out to drown out other peoples nonsense, but several of the gym members seem very intent on overpowering the music I listen to by either absurdly loud grunting or slamming weights as hard as they possibly can.

Ive been going to this gym ever since it opened and was always happy to come. The staff is top notch, they are friendly, helpful. I actually went to a gym closer to my house and realized the cardio classes at the new gym were not cardio at all. So I came back to Golds after a couple months and thank god because its literally the best gym in Prince William County. And for those of you complaining about a 1 day pass, just make sure it didnt expire or pay the $7.50. Its that simple, they are liable for you when you take a tour. This gym has serious work out equipment, not like the other pansy gyms nearby, so if you get hurt, its on them. Very well run establishment. Also, they have many members there that having been there forever.

Good gym, love that they are open 24 hours a day Tuesday through Friday. Weight machines need to be more organized by muscle groups. Sometimes when supersetting some of the machines I need for the same muscle group is on the third floor.

Jesse the new manager has run this gym into the ground. I rarely write reviews, but had to spread the word.There is no such thing as being a member here anymore. I just feel like another monthly payment. The environment is uncomfortable and rarely clean.I’ve been a member of this golds for 3 years now and will never return, due to the rapid changes.Waste of money and gives Golds a bad reputation.

For the monthly price, this place is well worth a membership. Quality equipment, plenty to go around and great classes included. Never seen it overly crowded. Also has a shake/juice bar.

I came in this morning with a guest pass, ready to take a 530AM class. I’ve loved Golds Gyms in the past and even worked the front desk at one for awhile. However, upon entering and asking politely about my guest pass at the front desk, the woman behind the counter was rude and unhelpful. I recently changed my last name because I got married and, when I forgot to tell her this, she was very clearly annoyed at having to look me up again in the system. Somehow my guest pass had already expired, and although I’ve never been to this gym in my life, I turned around and walked out rather than having to deal with this unpleasant person. I get that a gym isn’t exactly a place you come to expect dazzling customer service, and I know that the 5AM shift is an early one, but maybe invest in someone who isn’t clearly annoyed by your customer base.

I love golds gym, its a clean place, they have all the equipment I need for my routine, and what I love most is the room only for ladies.

Firstly, I am currently seeking the Regional Manager/Director to report my concerns.Upon entering, I was ignored by the Receptionist. Even when I approached the counter, he acted as though he could not be bothered. I spoke up, and I advised I wished to tour the facility. He shoved a clipboard/paperwork at me, and said a sales rep would be by before going back to ignoring me. When I told him I wanted to tour the facility first, he turned his back to me, and an equally unprofessional Brunette stepped up. In a blatant attempt to intimidate me, she demanded that I complete the forms on the clipboard. I returned it and advised I would not provide any of my information until Id surveyed the club. With a show of aggravation, she then demanded that I show my ID and sign in. When I agreed, she stood and glared before walking away and leaving me waiting. When she returned, she told me her Manager said I couldnt tour the facility until I completed the forms. It was clear I simply wasnt welcome at that facility, and I was being discriminated against. I have visited gyms all over the country, and have been granted tours without providing personal information first. In fact, I was given a tour of the LA Fitness across the street just by walking in the door and asking about the available equipment. Speaking of LA Fitness... I will be taking my business there.

Decent price for the variety of training equipment and what they have to offer. They have an area for deadlifts/Olympic lifts, as well as an indoor track and equip geared towards sports training upstairs which is missing from their competitor down the street. They also have an outdoor crossfit style training area too. Clean womens bathroom, variety of classes Including cycling. Great gym for lifters and athletes.

Working out with everyone

When I started my weight loss journey, I had doubts that the staff would follow me all the way through to the end. But I was wrong. The staff, personal trainers, instructors, and management have had my back all the way. They have encouraged me when I was at low points and have shared in my joy at my accomplishments. Whenever I come into the gym, no matter what time of day or night, Im always greeted politely and with smiles and, Hi there, glad to see you here. After my awesome classes and workouts when Im dragging my body to go home Im always lifted up by the staffs encouragements and pushing me to do more and keep it up. Bob, you have an EXCELLENT gym!!!! The one thing that sticks out the most is there is NO JUDGEMENT, always support for members.

Terrible experience. Wanted to try this gym out in hopes to sign up as I recently canceled my other gym membership. When I arrived I was told by the kind guy in the front that I could get a guest pass online otherwise Id have to pay 7.50. As I was about to do this a rude and angry Hispanic fat manager (hopefully not) or superviser stepped in without warrant, would not let me try the gym out. I was with a friend who was already a member and he insisted I had to pay to TEST the gym out. This was outrageous to me bc even better gyms such as lifetime and onelife will allow anyone to test the gym out free of charge for at LEAST 3 days let alone 1 DAY! I felt very uncomfortable with this rude and classless customer service that I kindly said ok and did not say much else, just went ahead and signed up at the LA FITNESS gym across the street and my friend also canceled his memeberhsip and signed up there as well after experiencing this kind of experience. I always liked Golds Gyms atmosphere, however I will make sure to tell people about this experience and classless customer service and recommend people to NOT WASTE THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY PAYING MONTHLY AT AN OVERPRICED GOLDS GYM WHICH CLEARLY ONLY CARES ABOUT A DOLLAR RATHER THAN THEIR CLIENTS. RIDICULOUS

It was kind of dirty with rundown equipment. They had very little traditional weightlifting equipment. They had extra of some machines and not enough of others.

Golds gym has the best equipment, lots of space and its very clean!

They dont have a pull up bar in the womens only room ...i like to do different exercises on the pull up bars ...they have it in the training area.. U can also do waistline exercises with those bars...

I went in to get a trial for me and my sisters as we are all heavy and wanted to try and loose weight together was told they can’t because they are 17 so I went to the bathroom and they asked to use the bathroom the lady let us but had a attitude the entire time, while I was in the shower and sauna my sisters waited with me and camil kept on coming and watching us I felt very uncomfortable finally they went out and sat where she said they could wait and on my way out to get my I’d she said she was trying to be nice and let them use the bathroom but because they waited with me till I left out and went and sat in front that the pass is a Privilege and she revoked my privilege but if I wanted to buy a membership I could I find it very unprofessional that because my sisters that we’re not doing anything or causing any disturbance made my privileges get re-vote as they were sitting with me in the bathroom I will not be joining

I was looking for a gym mermership so I decided to go and ask for a guest pass and the lady at the front desk asked for my debid card and charged me $7.50. Never coming back again.
