I just come here to work out and leave and dont really use anything other than weights. Im usually there early morning, but this is one of the cleanest LA Fitness Ive been to so kudos to your cleaning staff. Everything always seems in good working order, plentiful equipment. This ones much nicer than the Signature location and pretty much has all the same stuff. Only gripe is turn down the a/c a few degrees.

This club has ALL the required equipment and machines. I love it.However, my biggest criticism is - the hygieneNO ONE wipes down the machine after using it. There are VERY less Sanitizing stations. I am not at all comfortable working out on others sweat.PLEASE MAKE SIGNS AND TELL EVERYONE IT IS REQUIRED TO WIPE DOWN MACHINES AND BARS AFTER USING.

Love La fitness only thing is Dull, I dont get as excited or same energy like walking into Esporta. I understand that though.

I had a great workout and then relaxation watching a few games of racket ball.Then a good burn in the dry sonna.1st time in over 6 year maybe 7.I will be using the Gym alot more in the coming weeks.

They have child care that my young children enjoy, so that I may actually get to workout.

Go during the weekdays because its cleaner! Overall... GREAT!

Whirlpool has not been working for about 1 year due to equipment problems. They refused to upgrade my membership to give me access to the signature club in south Tampa and insisted I pay the upgrade fee $89 although it is not my fault their equipment is not working. They told me several times to wait and that they are “working on it” and after waiting for one month, they still refused to waive the upgrade fee.

Oh my so fun such nice people great place do the water aerobics with Ellen on Tuesday and Thursday morning at 9. Love it low impact great for us older people 😊😎💕

Not the best LA Fitness Ive visited. Many times there is no one at the front desk to assist you. They arent open late at night like some other locations.

A/C still not working on the racquetball courts and its been down for 3 weeks. Jacuzzi not much better, no water pressure after most recent repair.

I really like this one coming for years but, i dont see any reason for them why they not going back for working hours on the weekends till 20:00 many of us need that 18:00 is to short.

I only came back because the AnyTime Fitness was destroyed by a fire that put them out of business. The clientele in this gym can be obnoxious and the bathrooms are disgusting and have been for years. Its a typical commercial gym in business to make money. Customer service is not part of the experience here.

Great to be back in the Gym! The place was clean with plenty of sanitizer around if you’re still a bit nervous! Working out and living healthy is a great tool to beat the virus!

Our area has mandatory masks and LA supposed to also have mask but some of the workers there do notecards them. in fact one of the main guys I asked him if he lost his mask he said no I don’t want to wear one. I’d like the gym to stay open I’d like it to not be a place where people get sick

Felt at ease since today was the first time back at the gym since March. Saw them wiping down equipment and common touch areas. They provided cleaning spray for folks to disinfect the workout equipment as well.

I have been a regular LA Fitness member and personal training client for about six years. When the pandemic took off in March, I quit going to the gym for health safety concerns. I considered quitting, but I wanted to support the idea of keeping the club running, so I just kept my membership as it was. I, like most people, never imagined our COVID-19 numbers would be higher in November than they were in April. I have now accumulated thirty-five personal training sessions, with no end in sight for this pandemic.I asked to freeze my account for a while. I did not ask to quit, I just wanted to quit paying for unused training sessions for now. LA Fitness refused my request. Alyssa C., the personal training director at the 17631 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Lutz, FL 33548 location, told me I had two options—cut back to buying two sessions a month or quit and then use all thirty-five sessions within thirty days or lose them. I supported them through trying times and this is all they would do for me.The last time I was a member they refused to honor my contract when their prices increased. I should have learned my lesson.Additionally, the bathrooms are disgusting.

Went by to sign-up for Silver Sneakers, but their computer was down. Looked like the best Gym I had seen in Tampa so far.

The machines are great and the front desk staff are nice. The classes are not great the classes are boring and the music isn’t motivating at all. I lived in nj and I was a member in 2 gyms before this one and they gave great boot camp classes,weight lifting classes and step classes. The instructors need training for better workouts and new up best music. There is no motivation. I was an instructor in nj and most of the gyms like the max challange and when Lucille Roberts was around trained the instructors often and they made sure to have new upbeat music. The classes were never boring. Please consider training the instructors and making the classes much more interesting and add more classes the hours are horrible and the classes not many options.

Super grungy bathroom and shower area (not locker room), like, floor to ceiling needs a deep clean, which is the most important thing to me. the pool area was decently clean. sauna is great. Overall facility is fine. Has less equipment then my primary LA club. Super nice staff. Tons of parking. Never waiting to use anything

They shut down the hot water indiscriminately. Not even apologizing for the inconvenience. They regularly shut down the sauna or swimming pool anytime they want. They should clearly specify that when signing people in. Guys be aware of that before SIGNING IN.

Love this gym! Staff is awesome, kids club is great and they just remodeled and got all new equipment. They only have 2 squat racks and a power cage, which is super annoying because they are almost always occupied by people doing bicep or curls or shrugs. But other than that, awesome gym

The classes are great! The teachers have always been very accommodating and nice. The layout is ok and amenities are great! I wish the staff was a little nicer to up front.

My wife and I have been working out in this Gym for over 7 years - neither of us have ever had a problem with the staff or equipment - its clean, they have a good selection equipment, the staff is friendly and helpful. Sure at 6 or 7 in the evening its busy, but them all gyms are busy at these hours - still we seldom have to wait long for equipment. In our case its been a good value for the money and we are satisfied members.

My experience can be summarized in one word...name? - SHARON.-Hope I spelled that right. She is the club opener. I am part of the 5am crew and frankly just visiting here during thanksgiving holiday. As an early bird I can appreciate someone who is on time and welcoming at such early hours.-Ive never really had a good experience at an LA Fitness and I know plenty on how to operate a gym as I managed health clubs and been in the industry for over 10 years.-Its always true that your experience is dependent on who is working the front line. Sharon made the difference. Took care of my guest pass, pointed where everything was... learned my name... even checked in to see how my Thanksgiving was. 5 stars only because of her.-Besides that... the club has plenty of equipment. Racket sports, basketball, classes, sauna... etc etc. Gym is a gym... equipment is equipment but the staff varies and Sharon is a great staff member.

Awesome gym, plenty of machines and classes. Not sure why all the butt-hurt probably people that gave up going.... Im not one of those people that want to be huge just fit but I have never had a problem with any of the meat heads and in fact they just motivate you to go harder.

Asking them a question never helps in the response they will tell you to cancel your membership and never come in to that club anymore.

Very busy for a gym

Bad service, always out of soap & toilet paper, never saw anyone wiping down equipment plus the solution they had to wipe down equipment was useless. I cancelled my membership, now very happy at Crunch.

One of the better L.A. Fitnesses. Really like the equipment (except the benches that i cant use due to height), everything is generally clean, repairs happen quickly, and the front desk actually says hi (other locations ignore you). Plus they have more amenities (racquetball, basketball, pool, smoothie bar).

Good place. Love to go all the days. Its not signature gym, but it has all amenities like them. Swimming, squash, huge gym equipments. Love it.

Nice layout and still looks fairly new, but they never have decent air conditioning! Especially in the group fitness room. I dont mind getting sweaty, but theres a difference between that and being drenched due to no air circulation at all.

There are many hidden fees they will never tell you about and once you get their membership and start going to gym they will quietly without our consent takeout $50 and later when I figured out it is too late they said.

Great gym. Has everything that my wife and I need to work out and get into shape. The basketball competition is pretty decent too.

So I received a call from Eddie at my local LA Fitness at the crack of dawn this am about a payment to an account that I do not have.. I was trying to explain to him that my son works out with them when he hung up on me! I called back and said that he hung up on me and he said Oh I thought we were done This guy has no customer service skills what so ever!! I did call my son who said that he cancelled his CC due to losing it! When I called Eddie back I told him again that my son has an account with them, and all he said to me was Do you wanna pay his bill? This guy should not interact with people! my son is at the gym pretty much everyday! His new CC came in the mail yesterday! Seriously!

I run 3 days a week and the temperature is always 85. The staff say they dont know why its so hot, that the ac is on. 85 degrees at 5:15 am! Ive got months and months of these runs on Garmin, its not a one time thing. Please turn on the ac.

Its great that they have a pool, basketball, and racket ball. It is really frustrating that the free weights always seem to be missing and there arent enough of them during peak times. There are a ton of cardio options separate from the weights which is nice too.

Big, busy, my main complaint is that they recently lost some cleaning staff. So now, exactly when I usually work out, a Male member of cleaning staff is in the womens locker room!!!Every day. Im not happy. Its been over a month. In my opinion I now have PARTIAL use of the FULL facility that I PAY for, because I cannot walk around comfortably outside of the sauna or the shower ( naked or half dressed) because Im worried about some guy in there cleaning!! NOT COOL

Lots of meat heads and staff is kind of pushy. Ive been approached about personal training multiple times while working out. To me, thats very annoying. Go mostly for the pool and sauna these days which are the best in the area.

I went today to start a 2 week trial pass by LA fitness and was told I could only use it for one week, that really it should be one day and then questioned me as to why do I need the 2 weeks?!. Mark the sales person was extremely rude and unprofessional, If the pass said it was a 15min walkthrough then that’s what I would expect but it didn’t. LA fitness should change their pass policy to Marks philosophy my way or the highway! There’s no shortage in gym options, I suggest to look elsewhere.

Bathrooms and some of the equipment need to be upgraded as well as the Jacuzzi but other than that pretty cool workout environment.

This is one of the filthiest gyms I have ever been to. The restrooms are on par with a porta-potty. Every time I walk into the mens room, I think my sneakers get some sort of disease. The floors are unbearable sticky and the urinals contain pubic hair that I swear was there a week ago.The free weight area is not nearly big enough to accommodate the amount of people. The crowd is mostly meatheads in cutoffs, using several pieces of equipment at the same time.As for personal trainers, you get a better value from reading a magazine for a workout. All the trainers do is randomly throw some exercises at you when you show up, no planning at all. Apart for the first session, we have never been remeasured or reevaluated during a PT session, and we are going on 10 months. Apart from that, NO Results.You are better off going to a private gym, one that cares less about numbers and more about results.

This is probably the best of the local L.A Fitness in the area. They do have a little snack bar that offers sports drinks, water, etc. As well as vending machines. They have a pool, basketball court, racket ball courts, cardio equipment and a variety of classes. Childcare is good. Much better at this location than other LA locations. I met other moms who drive just to come to this one bc the childcare at the other locations is not good.

I prepaid for two months of membership at this branch of LA Fitness. The sales person did not disclose to me their child care hours, which are not the same as their operating hours. They are closed for 4 hours during the afternoon. Also a piece of weight equipment I use was broken during my entire first month of membership. I brought it to the staffs attention many times, but a replacement was never provided. I brought these issues to the sales staff. They were indifferent and promised follow-up which never came.I eventually spoke to the clubs operations director, Darin, who was also indifferent. He claimed that the weight equipment was on order, and didnt know when it would be available. I asked to cancel my membership, and he refused to refund me for the upcoming month of membership I had prepaid. I am having to file a dispute with my credit card company.I would avoid this place. Despite signs everywhere that the staff are helpful and there to serve the members, my experience was the complete opposite. I only encountered dummies who couldnt address simple issues, and acted like they were bothering you whenever you asked a question. No smiles.There are several other good options nearby, including YouFit, Punch Fitness, Anytime Fitness and the Bob Sierra YMCA.

I like it. The girls are hot and its never packed when I go. Locker rooms dont smell. Sometimes the music sucks but thats why I got my ipod. Best price I found between Lifestyles and anytime fitness. They have a HOT TUB!!! Its nice to just relax in the hot tub, especially if you dont have access to one. I was considering moving and I felt sad that I wasnt going to be able to have the amenities this place has.

Decent gym it would be better if they had a straight pull up bar as well as a couple other features most the other gyms in the area have but other than that its clean and staff are friendly

The classes are great(love cycle) but the free weight area is not nearly big enough for the amount of people that work out here.

Large gym with most equipment you can think of as well as a pool, excellent basketball court, large group fitness room, spin room, personal training area, saunas and clean bathrooms along with helpful and friendly staff.

They don’t clean the machines. And some of the most commonly used are frequently broken and unusable.

Thinking about returning to La Fitness so I stopped in to check this one out. It’s gross!!! How this place has 4 stars I do not know. It looks like they never clean it. DISGUSTING!!!!

****TRASH****So I decide to go to the gym thats fair distance away from my house. I literally wanted to give this gym another try do to all the amenities they have at this particular location. So I walk inside, the front desk guy didnt acknowledge me at all! I said hey Im here to use my guest pass. He said ok, & kept on his cell phone.. I literally stood there for another 2mins until I said bro, check me in Im trying to workout. He said unprofessionally, take a seat & the sales rep will be with you soon. Mind you I sat there for 20mins while all the front desk stayed on their phones, & the salesman didnt even have anyone in front of him to assist. As soon as different skin color walked in they got total recognition & ask if they needed anything. While I was left sitting there for about 20mins....... LA FITNESS ONLY CARES ABOUT YOUR MONEY, ITS ALL ABOUT QUALITY NOT QUANITY but they dont understand that. Screw this location.

The people and the gym itself it really nice but they get you comeing and going with all of these hidden details I first wanted to go in and see what it looked like and use my 2 week Guest pass and they convince me to sign that day even though I really wanted to wait till pay day and then they make it sound like you are getting a good deal and they you look online and they just offered you the online sign up price. They they failed to tell me that you had to pay a sign up fee I thought the first and last month payment would cover it but no so it was like come to 200$ and I had no money left so I asked if they could spit it up and they said ya they would put 80$ back on the card till next pay check but they never did and then I went in today and asked if I could add the two guests to my plan bc they never told me I could not add it later and they said it would be an 80$ up grade fee and 40$ a month to add 2 guest and it is 30 to add one person. So i’m probably gonna find a different gym.

Home of the rooster guys who wear hemmup up shorts and have I L S ........invisible lat syndrome. Puffed out roosters walking around and pushing 170 pounds soaking wet. Women looking for a man or whatever. Very crowded, forget 4 to 7 PM and nobody puts up weights as there is a no weight return policy that is in all LA Fitnesss. Better gyms elsewhere. No standingleg curls, no neck equipment. Up to you. If you are a rooster then by all means go there.

Clean and friendly establishment I called and spoke to Kory Who was super friendly and helpful I flew in town from southern Indiana and suffer from RSD/ CRPS and needed a pool and a hot tub to do some physical therapy Cory was very kind and comped me a hour membership. Love this gym, I been a member since the day they open on N. DALE. I recently transferred to LA off of GUNN and they waived the 5 dollar fee being nice and never told me when I transferred again I would be charged an additional 112 dollars and then an up charge on my member ship. Long story short Keiara G. Was no help and smiled in my face and told me that she bet she can confirm with management at gunn that they told me this information. I was upset and called corporate who was a huge help. Thank you very much to corporate office. I am a happy member of LA FITNESS. I just sign my gf up a few days prior to this incident.
