I took my diesel pickup truck to Engle Automotive for E testing. After that, the vehicle would not start or run. They proceeded to tell me that I needed $1,400 or more of work done to replace a simple little fuel filter primer pump. I was treated very badly when I was told that I wasnt going to have the work done at that time. I repeatedly asked to get a ride home because I was without a vehicle. They refused unless I agreed to do the $1,400 work. Fortunately a young technician apparently volunteered to take me home which he did and I paid him for that service. The next day I had the vehicle towed to my home on my dime and upon further checking myself I found a loose wire connection I repaired that simply and the vehicle has been starting and running perfectly ever since. I, nor will anyone I know, ever take a vehicle to Engle Automotive again.

I had a diesel emissions test done and was very impressed with their friendliness and professionalism. They pointed out some work that required attention and what would be involved, but only so I would be aware of it. At no point was there any pressure to have them complete the work, although I would feel very comfortable having them do it.

Sticking to the facts here and trying not to speculate on what exactly happened.I took my vehicle in to Engle Automotive for non-critical repairs with zero lights/codes. The short version is that it left 10 days later, the original issue hadnt been fixed after asking me to pay $750 to simply diagnose the original issue and the vehicle developed several major issues while they had it. I dont know what happened while with Engle but the vehicle came out WAY worse then it went in. Perhaps when I dropped it off over a half dozen issues were going to come up the next time I drove it but statistically does that really happen? One of the issues that popped up while they had it was the same issue that happened 2 years ago and they did do that work under warranty, so that was kinda nice. But the fact is that I drove this vehicle to Engle automotive and will now have to be towed to a different shop for repair of the original issue as well as the issues that developed while at Engle. Engle staff tried to force me to sign a waiver on any damages that happened while at the shop, and wouldnt initially allow me to pay for the work they had done and release it to me before signing holding the vehicle hostage. However, I did eventually get the van back without signing that waiver. I get the feeling this waiver is not standard procedure because at the last second before initially trying to pay they added it. Rob the shop manager was the only one there that I talked to that seemed to know what he was talking about or the status of the vehicle but communication with the majority of Engle team was poor and confused and I rarely felt like I was getting a straight story.The warranty work they did, the possibility that these things were going to go wrong anyway and some communication from Rob is the only thing that kept me from giving them the lowest possible rating but I am very much tempted to anyway. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Engle and if asked I would advise to not take a vehicle there based on my experience.To the Engle staff since they seem to watch these zealously and reply, Im sure things dont normally end like this for you guys and I hope the conversations we had help you in the future, good luck.

2011 Ford F250 diesel broke down while on a 17 day, 4,000 mile vacation pulling our camper. Called the Loveland Ford dealership. Conversation was very short, Booked up. Cant help you was about the just of the conversation that lasted less than a minute. Luckily, and based upon reviews, I found Engle Automotive. Called them and spoke with fellow KC Chiefs fan who was able to set us up and appointment the next day. (Found out she was from the same town as Patrick Mahomes when she lived in Texas.) Asked them if they could at least diagnose in three days so I could plan ahead where we would be staying. They had the problem solved, fixed, and we were able to pick the truck up in two days! Found out that they try to help travelers whenever they can. Abraham, the service manager, went out of his way to explain the complete inspection form about our truck. Informed me of what needed to be done sooner than later and WHY it needed to be done. Also made suggestions and printed out alternative parts that would be beneficial for our older truck if the need arises. He let me know what to expect in the future as the miles rack up. Since we have kids that live in the area, might have to schedule our future service with them around our visits to Colorado. Good excuse to see the Chiefs play the Broncos in Denver, and get the truck worked on.

My A/C was not working. They got me in as soon as possible and worked with me on a loaner as I travel to Longmont. A/C was quickly fixed. Inspection showed other concerns. Mainly bad/unsafe brakes in the rear. Got me all fixed up and on my way away. Very professional.

Not only did they do the oil change, but they inspected all of the fluids and any leaks. They checked the brake and the windshield. When they had finished, Abraham went over everything they had looked at and what I would need to do at my next visit with them. The only way I could have been more pleased would to be if they paid my bill! Haha!JB

Be careful! We were $500 in and things they fixed werent the major issues. Then, hey hit us saying $3000 for transmission! But they never had permission to fix what they did fix! We took it for a diagnostic check! Thats it! Never called us until they said transmission needed a full replacement!

Engle takes advantage of people who are not familiar with costs of auto repairs. My mother dropped off my car and they charged about 300 dollars to change A BATTERY! Due to circumstances, they could not finish that day and offered a loaner car. One of the loaner cars was my old car that died previously who Engle told us was not fixable and needed to be taken to the junk yard. They offered to take this junk yard car off of our hands for 200 dollars and are now using our car as a LOANER! Clearly, the car was fixable! DO NOT TRUST ENGLE!

Just the other day I went in to Engle Automotive to pick up a book (yes, a book) and I could not have been met with a nicer staff. Totally professional! Very respectful! Super clean shop! Best of all, no one had one of those dangerous bacterial zoos pressed up against their faces making it near impossible to carry on a normal conversation! This was my first time at Engle Automotive and I am so glad I gave them a shot. My 2012Ford Focus has a dual clutch transmission that is problematic to put it mildly. Rob would not give up on changing out the shifting forks and ultimately the whole clutch (which had been replaced in January at the dealership) I was treated more than fairly and they have a customer for life. Abraham and Rob are a great team and the rest of the office staff were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them for all of you automotive repair.

Brought in my 2014 Dodge dart that I didnt get too long ago and got scammed on from a terrible dealership, came in with quite a number of issues wasnt really sure what it was gave him an idea of what I thought. They were very thorough about finding the problem and found other problems in the process. Theyre super professional about contacting you which I really appreciate cuz often Im at work they call you theyll leave you a text message so you can call them back. Did everything rather promptly explained everything in detail, got my car back running and driving better than I ever would have thought it could seeing as I purchased it with problems. Ill be sure to be bringing my car back here for any service I need would definitely recommend to anyone looking for honest and fast service.

Almost no emissions on my 5.9 cumins at 253,000 miles. Engle replaced my injectors at over 190,000 so the proof a great work and Mopar replacement parts is in the emissions test today. Great shop and owner.

Excellent service from start to finish. We had an alternator go out on a Tundra 5.7L and they were able to repair it in a few days. They also gave a guarantee on their work even though we don’t live in the area. Highly recommend!

Really wanted to like this place. Very nice people, clean and professional shop.Unfortunately.. brought my van in 9 am tues for oil change, new tire and alignment. Took until midday thursday to hear any substantial feedback, when I was told I needed 4 new tires because they were all mismatched (rear tires actually do match) and 2k in suspension work. Which is all well and good, but taking three days just to tell me and that its going to take a day to get tires when I told them on Monday I needed atleast one.Other gripes but thats the jist of it, lack of due diligence and courtesy when it comes to respecting others time. Picked it up and took care of the tires myself in 30 min.Wont be returning. Oh ya, oil change light is still on. Thanks.

Engle Automotive is my ‘go to’ shop for my Dodge 2500. I had an appointment to get an oil change and an emissions test. I was surprised when I picked up the truck and was presented with the bill. It was approximately $140.00 less than I expected. My first question was “just guessing that you didn’t use Amsoil, did you?” Evidently the person setting up the work order didn’t check the history on the prior oil changes. Maybe it was my fault, but always in the past, I was asked, so didn’t even think about it. Not a big problem, just was surprised. Since I don’t drive the truck much, I use the Amsoil and can get by on one oil change a year, whereas with the regular Rotella it’s pretty much mandatory to do the oil change twice a year. Oh well ...Other than this - great job Engle!

They did a great job and were very friendly. I had an axel break suddenly and very unexpectedly. We didnt know what was wrong but the car sounded awful. I went to their shop because it was the closest one, and we barely made it. While they werent able to get to it cat that day due to a busy holiday weekend, they were very kind and helpful. They fixed our car at a reasonable price, and even found she fixed the source of another noise that had been ongoing that another shop hadnt been able to find. Great, friendly and honest service.

Had a pre-purchase inspection done. Thorough and timely. Would recommend.

I chose Engle because they are the closest dealer for Sulastic Shackles, which is still a 45-minute drive for me. In addition to the Sulastic Shackle, I ask for a quote to replace the front and rear shocks and steering stabilizer with Bilstein 5100 parts. The Sulastic Shackle quote was slightly less than the manufacturers direct price but with a $395 installation price. The manufacture claims installation should take around 45 minutes to install; this seemed high. The service writer claimed the job required two hours. The quote for the shocks and stabilizer was excessive. Engle wanted 30% more for parts than other local sources plus over $400 in labor. This install is on an F350 4x4 where installing the shackles requires removing the rear shocks making the labor charge excessive.Because this is the only Sulastic dealer close to me, I was stuck paying the excessive labor charges for the shackle. However, I decided to do the shocks with a friends help, which took around an hour. The service writer asked me to pay for the parts and labor to order the parts. I get paying for the parts, but the paying for the labor?When the parts arrived, the service writer wanted me to leave the truck all day for the install. I explained that this would require 3 hours of driving. Could they schedule a time to do the work while I waited? This required a specific day with Service Writer was supposed to be available to make sure the work got done promptly.When I get to the appointment, this is the first time I learn that this business is a bunch of science-denying-anti-maskers. Before I get Marks standard response, let me ask this, why dont you tell your customer before they put money down and book appointments about your mask policy? The service writer I first talked to put his mask on when I walked in without me asking; this was the last mask I saw any employee wearing. Fortunately, I brought an N95 Mask. It was a nice day so, I waited for almost 45 minutes for them to get started on my truck and then went for a walk. When I returned about 45 minutes later, the mechanic was cleaning up. The full appointment took just a few minutes more than 2 hours, including the 45 minutes waiting. So, Engle charged me around $395 for an hour of labor.This shop is not a good value with a definite customer-is-always-wrong attitude.

I always appreciate the work Engle does on my truck! I have a ‘96 7.3 with a lot of delayed maintenance. Every time I ask a question about what they are working on they always do their best to answer and have talked me through it while looking at my truck. They’re definitely worth the drive for me from Fort Collins!

I went to Engle Automotive for an Emissions Test and a VIN Inspection. I was able to make the next day appoinyment I was hoping for right away. When I got there I was really impressed with their lobby/waiting room. Its clean, welcoming and huge!! Youve never seen a lobby this spectacular at an auto shop. Upon arrival, the gals in the office were friendly and ready for me with everything Id needed to get my services started. Engle Auto has their free wifi password posted, coffee, water, snacks, a really nice bathroom, and lounge with a couch and TV for anyone to use. I didnt know this place existed until another booked auto shop recommended I give them a call, but Ill go back to them for everything from now on. I was in and out with a thorough report in the estimated amount of time. I highly recommend Engle Automotive!

George was great! He walked me thru everything from what needed repaired, why and how much cost would be. Anytime something changed he called me right away to let me know what was going on and get approval before starting additional work. Everyone I talked with was polite and professional and really wanted to help.

I have a question. Ive used Engle for my emissions test several times now with no issues. Today I go in and have it tested only to have it fail because of a dtc code. If you knew it would fail for this reason, why would you go thru with the test and charge me for it? Ive never had an issue with a check engine light failing my test before so I had no reason to know it would now. All you had to do after seeing that it would fail would be to let me know before testing but I guess its easier to screw people out of their money by not saying anything. They do offer a 25% discount on a retest but compared to the other testing shops Ive called that do it for free, thats not saying much. Us profarmance diesel. They at least retest for free.Update: I called the State DOPI Emissions Office and asked them if there was anything stoping you from informing me of the law regarding a fail due to a light. I was told that there is nothing stoping you from either telling me directly or having something posted around your building/in the paperwork I signed. So as I mentioned when we talked, there was no reason not to let me know in the same way that you let me know you would add oil and charge me for it if there wasnt enough to test. Its not illegal to inform someone on what the law is.

First experience here and it was great. Basic needs... but I wanted to work with Engle on something basic to test the waters. Very professional and CLEAN.Waiting area is very relaxing and quiet yo do business while you wait. Wonderful WiFi service (I was on a video call). Lots of chilled water bottles available, Keurig coffee / tea also available.

Always professional, reliable and do what they say they will do. Engle maintained an older diesel ski bus for us some years ago also providing the required emissions testing as well. Recently, I had a problem with a Ram 6.7 Cummins and they diagnosed the problem very quickly. Engle Automotive is the only place in Northern Colorado I would trust with a large Diesel engine repair.

My truck went in for a smog inspection, having a leaking fuel tank. I was embarrassed for the leak but they were very nice, and for a good price they fixed the fuel leak, got it smogged and I was on my way. I now found a local shop for future diesel work.

This is the nicest automotive shop I have been to. Nice and comfortable atmosphere if you decide to wait for your car. Everyone was so nice and helpful. They go above and beyond on transparency and honesty. I will be bringing my cars here for all their maintenance/repair needs.

I towed in a broken down vehicle to this shop and they quickly got it running again. They took the time to prepare multiple estimates, work with my insurance carrier and explain everything throughout the process.

Never heard of a shop forcing a diagnostic test before working on a vehicle. I’m literally holding onto the the broken belt, and tensioner pulley, but they wanna charge 150 to tell me what I already know. They claim it’s a liability issue, yet of the 8 shops I’ve called this morning, they’re the only ones to mention it.They offer a warranty on the parts and labor which I suppose is nice, but for the average person just wanting to get their beater back on the road, this place is not for you.

3 stars for the smoothness of the shop scheduling and dealing with the front desk, not 5 stars because they couldnt resolve the issue.I was recommended to this place because my normal mechanic didnt have a A/C machine. This shop did but could not solve the issue with A/C shutting off. The AC recharge went for $59 to ~$130 diagnostic but after 3 visits they concluded we would have to start replacing sensors in hopes that one would solve it. That was a $400 risk I wasnt willing to take.In the end another shop was able to pull the codes and find the TSB that explained the issue.

Great people to work with! Honest approach, didn’t push me into something I didn’t need to spend extra money on. I will be back to bring other vehicles that need service! Would highly recommend to anyone with vehicle service needs.

FANTASTIC, and I mean fantastic service! Abraham and the team at Engle automotive were quick, efficient and helpful! It sucks when your car battery dies and you don’t have a normal auto body shop that you trust to do the work for a reasonable price...I know we all have been there before. However, the team at Engle automotive were the perfect solution for my problem on that snow-apocalypse we had. If you need work on your car, a new battery, emission testing (I believe Abraham said they did that, but don’t quote me there), or just need some other car help you need to visit them at Engle automotive. My oil change didnt go too well. Appointment wasnt scheduled but at least they got me in that day. Charged me more quarts of oil than car requires, they fixed that price too.

Rob, Josh, Brian, Mark and all the rest of the gang were AMAZING to work with! They redid our 1951 Ford F-5 motor and wiring (and much, much more) with patience and creativity.
