Mount vernon apartment complex is the worst. We lived there for a whole year and did not like it at all and they’re not comprehensive at all. They charge you extra for being one day late on rent payment even though they know that your Pay is coming the coming up the next day. And even after two months they still haven’t sent us our deposit money back and we still waiting on it while the staff management is ignoring us and tell us a really crooked story and seems like they don’t want to give us our money back. They are just not worth it at all!!

I have lived here for a couple of years and I have to say this is by far the worst apartment I have been in. I have consistently had plumbing issues and issues with my carpet. I had to throw out some things due to mold growing. It is also really difficult to get in touch with the manager and I feel like I am being ignored. My bathroom is pretty much a danger zone right now. IF YOU ARE NOT ON SECTION 8, THEN DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! It is not worth the trouble.

So while there were issues with moving in I will say that the management and whoever is in charge of maitinence have done a great job at communication. Yes problems are frustrating, but I dont think you could find an apartment with people who act so quick to fix problems. Overall the apartments are pretty nice and weve been here for 2.5 years. If there was a bug problem they call opc ASAP, my water heater went off and they were there the next morning (i called at like 12 am so it was fine), management actually calls me back within 24hours of a problem. Im very satisfied and we plan on staying here until we are ready for our own house. (They also have a great pet policy that most apartments dont offer either) . denise and whitney have great customer service and if i could remember the maitinence mans name i would mention him too (i think hes in charge of maitinence at the apartments).

I used to live in these apartments roughly 7 years ago. Before the end of our stay, we ended up getting bed bugs. The origin was unknown. We never brought in any second hand furniture, and we were fairly tidy. Yesterday though, I went out to the dumpster to throw out some trash while visiting a friend. I saw a few mattresses leaning against it, and noticed that apparently there is still an issue with bed bugs there. I feel like there should be some preventative care done about the issue. If any had been made, they obviously didnt last. Other than that, these apartments werent too bad considering how old they are. Bed bugs are a huge nightmare, so renters beware... if you plan to live here, make sure you heavily check your apartment before moving in any furniture.

I lived here for 5 years and it was my first apartment. Horrible choice by far. If you like roaches and bugs, they got plenty of them here. I use to always get wasps and bees that came through my balcony door and it was never fixed. Old and outdated apartments that has not been renovated. No washer/dryer for the amount of money you pay. Nasty, rude staff that dont care about their residents or their concerns. When I lived here maintenance was stealing out of residents apartments. I definitely dont recommend anyone to move here.

Very nice atmosphere, and Im just staying for a couple weeks on vacation. (Staying with family), and its really nice for what it is. Great price, really nice park.

So far Ive lived here for about four months and I love it here. It is less expensive than most places and if you ever have a maintenance issue they are on top of it and above it all this place is nice and its comfortable for families the only problems I had so far is that this place is a little aged and because of that there arent amenities such as dishwasher and for their other apartments they dont have washer and dryer hook ups and the playground could be updated but other than that I would definitely recommend this place to others and I already have the problem is that no one wants to move out so it stays full.

Very old. They never update or remodel. No washer and dryer hook ups. No dish washer. Bath room looks terrible needs to be remodeled. Constant plumbing issues thats gets blamed on renters. You rent will be raised every year.

DO THE 2 BEDROOM APTS HAVE WASHER AND DRYER HOOK UP

I lived here from 2014 to 2015 I’m glad I left when I did, the management and maintenance team was terrible. Nothing got fixed when it was broken and the office never answered the phone. These apartments are run down and extremely old with no plans for repairs. One of the Worst decisions I made as I young adult. However I moved to Tanglewood apartments which is about 5 min away from here and the prices are better and the apartments are remodeled!

Friendly office staff and great maintenance! Nice apartment for the price and in a convenient location.

I have never had any problems at Mount Vernon and this is my second time at this Community. Management is professional and friendly. The only con is rent is a tad much for the location especially because these apartments dont feature any updated amenities. It does have a W/D on site. Also a park that residents neglect so watch where you step!

This place is horrible. Nothing gets fixed when you call in to get something fixed. When I first moved in, I didnt have heat. called the emergency line on a friday night but no answer. left a message and nobody came over the weekend. Had to call the work order in again that monday when they opened back up because nobody got the message over the weekend. Then in the beginning of august 2017, something was leaking from behind the wall in my shower. needless to say I had a hole in my bathroom ceiling for over 3 weeks before I moved out. They never cut out the part of the wall where the water had been running down. They wouldnt come fix the hole or the wall that had mildew probably growing behind it. There were spiders constantly crawling all over the place because of the hole. My son and I were bit on several occasions. The lady in the office has nasty attitude. I liked it better when Katie was in the office.

I have been here since 1995 not going anywhere I love here and the management staff, if something breaks it get fixed immediately.

By far the worst apartment Ive ever lived in.
