I desperately needed a haircut when my new salon messed up my appointment and couldnt fit me in for two weeks. A friend recommended Empire Beauty School. I am so grateful! Christina gave me an amazing haircut! I appreciate Christinas dedication to providing excellent service and the instructor who checked on us regularly. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. This haircut was a terrific value and rivals the $80 haircuts I normally get. I will be going back for sure.

I went to Empire Beauty School on Monday. This was my second time with Mickey. Since he is graduating this week, I hoped he would do a better job. However, he was still very slow and even though I told him I wanted the 90° cut, I did not get as many layers as I had expected. Personality wise, he needs to learn small talk and how to make connections with his clients. Given more training, I think he will be fine, but I dont think he is ready to graduate quite yet.

QiQi did a great job in coloring my roots! My hair looked liked it had highlights when she was finished. She was very professional, surprisingly so for a young student. She gave the best shampoo too! She was very gentle and considerate and concerned about how I was doing throughout the process.Her supervisor, Mrs. Deidra, is also very welcoming and nice to all.

I recently got a facial from Kaytie. She is professional, knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. I have gotten many facials from many reputable upscale establishments. Aside from thr knowledge I was not at one of those places, I felt pampered and glowing when I left. I highly recommend her and this school for any and all services they provide!

Christina did a great job on my daughters hair! She had a lot done, color, cut, and shave. Definitely professional quality. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Made an appointment for a perm and after a 15-minute wait and being seated, I was told that they couldnt give me a perm because I had colored my hair months ago. Will never go back..

Update: despite reaching out to get help to resolve this issue, I ha e not received communication back at all!I have been canceled on 3 times due to covid. Which is fine. However when I took a day off work to come in with my kids they denied me service due to the kids not being booked for something. Originally I was booked with my kids. I said we would pay for whatever so I can get my hair done. They said they didnt have capacity. Not even to squeeze 2 kids in who are excited to be there. After being canceled many times, then this miscommunication made it a very upsetting experience. So much so it makes me not want to come here again. I have been coming for several years. I have never seen this teacher who was quite rude. She could brush up on her customer service skills like the student that was behind her. You need to tell someone what YOU CAN do for them, not just repeating how you cant help. Teacher must be burnt out. By the way the lady was so harsh about it she made my 6 yo daughter cry.

I am a former student here and got the education I paid for. This is a beauty school so the negative comments are from people ignoring that fact. Empire put me on a path for a strong career.

Very disappointing; I went in for a mani-pedi for an upcoming wedding. I wasnt expecting anything fancy, just basic polish applied better than I can do myself. When I called for my appt, I asked how long the service would take and was told to plan on a good hour. When I arrived for my appt at 1p, they couldnt find my booking at first. Deidre, the instructor, turned to a student and said Set up a station, youre doing this appointment. His look? A deer in headlights.It was 1:20 by the time he set up a nail station. I told him before we started that I had to leave for another appointment by 2:50, and asked whether that would be enough time, he said yes. While working on me he told me he hadnt done nails in months. Great. It was obvious nails arent his area of focus.He finished at 2:45, and had Deidre check his work. I thought it was ok, not great -- but it turns out my finger nails werent fully dry, so they were ruined before I left his station. Deidre basically said it was my fault for not letting my nails dry long enough and for expecting the work to be done in an hour. She said the only remedy was to stay (which I couldnt do,) or come back for another appt. I set another appointment for today, but after thinking about it, I cant risk wasting more time and end up with disppointing results. I dont blame the student here so Im not using his name. I think he was put in a situation that he wasnt prepared to handle.

An inexpensive way to get a mani/pedi by a student. Not fancy at all but still a treat. They cut, color and style hair too.

Scheduled a tour but there was no one there?! I waited around for 10 min before giving up. Not a good look if you confirm appointments but forget about them. Will not be considering this place for my education.

I love the school, the women are all very professional and respect social distancing, I had a great experience with them today I had highlights s and cut today and Love, love l,ove it . Id recommend it for anyone looking to get a high quality hair make over

I came in for color and specifically asked to see Josephine. She was fantastic. She was so meticulous, which I appreciate. Such a sweetheart & so professional. I highly recommend her for any service. Josphine is going to be a excellent stylist once she graduates. I hope to be a permanent client of hers in the future.

Over two years staying in touch and speaking with other schools many never called me back!Truly, all the other schools made it hard for me to be excited and hard too financially. Very sweet personality of the students, but due to school limitations, no cutting of toes, cuticles, or removal of the callus on toes and feet for a pedicure. I wouldnt waste my time going in the future.

So unprofessional! I was told I had to make an appointment, so I did. I was called 30 mins before my appointment and told the stylist I was booked with wasnt available, but someone else would be able to do my hair. Upon arrival they said, its not possible, but let me take a further look. 30 mins later no one had spoken with me and meanwhile people have come and gone. Dont was your time or money. Looking at all of the hair of people in there youd be paying for a hack job anyways.

I am about to graduate and as far as this school goes it has gotten so much better. The new staff have brought a new life to the whole program. I have been attending for quite some time and as a result have seen the good the bad and the ugly. The lead instructor really cares about the students and is actually excited to teach us. You will get a quality service at an extremely reasonable price. ANY bad review you see on any site is most likely a disgruntled student who didnt like being put in their place by the administration and should not be taken seriously. Guidelines for graduation have recently been changed by the STATE and many students graduation dates have changed (including my own) to a later date causing some un-happy campers
