This organization uses an extremely archaic video tool which NEVER works each time I log in. Either my therapist cant hear me or she cant see me and it keeps hanging and disconnecting multiple times within a session. This eats into therapy time (and no, theres no time extension. Starts late and stops promptly on the dot) and causes me stress and anxiety. Which is pretty ironic considering Im here to treat these issues!! Receptionist is useless in helping the matter. Will not be using this provider after Im done with my therapist.

I was looking for a psychiatrist and booked an appointment at Pacific Coast Psychiatric (now called LifeStance Health) and then changed my mind and called to cancel the appointment (less than 30 minutes later). I had booked the appointment on 6/2/20 to meet with a nurse practitioner on 6/3/20 and because they had a 48-hour cancellation policy in fine print (and I had booked the appointment 24 hours in advance) they charged me a “no show” fee of $175.00. I spoke with a representative at Pacific Coast Psychiatric and explained the situation and the person I spoke to said I still owed for the no show, even though I had never received any services from them ever. They continued to call, even though I asked them to leave me alone, and then sent my information to a debt collection agency (see attached). I wrote a letter to the debt collection agency explaining the situation and disputing the debt, but less than a month later I got a second letter from the debt collection agency explaining that Pacific Coast Psychiatric said I had not cancelled and still owed $175 + $1.49 (interest, which had a accrued while I was attempting to dispute the debt). To protect myself from a negative credit report, I chose to pay the $176.49 to Pacific Coast Psychiatric even though I was never a client there and received no services. My mistake was booking an appointment with Pacific Coast Psychiatric (now called LifeStance Health) in the first place. PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.

The worst company Ive dealt with, period. They charge a 175$ fee for cancellation of a appointment. We had a family emergency and we still were not granted a exception. They sent us a Bill collector to collect when I refused to pay. The last thing you need to be dealing with is this company when things are hard enough right now. Dont get involved!!!

My husband saw a physician just a couple of times. His last appt with her, which he did attend because we are aware of the no show fee, he was in the Emergency Room. She did a quick 2 minute call and they company still charged our insurance for a full appointment. But thats not even the problem - she apparently put him on a recurring appt and knowing he had broken his collar bone and that he needed surgery, she did not confirm when their next appt was nor did she care to ask if that would even work for him knowing his condition. He had major surgery last Friday and a couple days later, we got a notification that he was being charged a NO Show. for an appt he didnt even know about. We called the billing dept and talked to Ann who is supposedly a Customer Experience Rep and none of them would listen, we continued to tell them that he didnt know there was a recurring appt set and they continued to tell us that they couldnt reverse the fee because there was one set. I say a physician there for a couple weeks weekly and when I asked her if we can move bi-weekly, she refused services and said she doesnt take clients bi-weekly and will need to refer me to someone else. Its really sad that a business thats supposed to help people doesnt seem like they are in it for the right reasons.

Terrible staff and I do not understand how they could be so manipulative and rude. Avoid this place at all costs!!

Both my psychiatrist and therapist are so empathetic, so professional and they sincerely want me to get better and are so supportive. The environment at PCPA is very calming.

Terrible experience seeing a psychiatrist. Even after admitting I had the symptoms I was concerned about, he accused me of seeking to abuse drugs and tried to push on me anti-depressants I didn’t need. Customer service was also extremely rude when I called and I could hear him actively texting during the call.
