Dr. Amat is truly amazing. I trust him 100% and know that he always recommends what is best for my pups. He is extremely knowledgeable and is by far the best vet around. He treats us like family and never hesitates to call when we need him (day or night). When my boxer passed away last year, he took the time to call and give his condolences as soon as he found out.

On Sunday evening my sweet puppy Layla had her second seizure. It was really bad. I called and the vet on call Dr.Justice stayed on the phone with me guiding and keeping me calm and letting me know what to expect. She in my experience and opinion went above and beyond. Her kind calm voice helped calm me so i could help myPuppy. Never rushed me just waited and talked me through it. I took her in on Tuesday for a check up to see about med changes or where to go from here. She saw Dr. Rook. Same thing with her she talked with me explaining everything about epilepsy and that they were going to help her have a good quality of life and that they will always be there if i need them. Just wow! I will tell everyone I know about this office. I just cant say enough about how wonderful they were to me and Layla my puppy.

They take the time to have a conversation with you about your pet every time, and they will answer any questions you have thoroughly. Dr. Munn actually helped discover a solution to a chronic problem our senior cat was having that caused her to have multiple surgeries throughout her life before we started going to Poplar AH. Since he treated her, the issue has disappeared! I highly recommend Poplar Animal Hospital and all of their awesome Doctors!

I just cant say enough about how caring and attentive the staff is here. Dr. Justis kept me updated on our sweet Dorito. I truly felt that she cared about Dorito and keeping me informed. She gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision as far as treatment, cost, and other options. She was patient and kind and dealt with all my tears very well. Every step of the way each person we dealt with was kind and compassionate every step of the way. I brought my cat in for shots and a wellness check and the veterinarian was so knowledgeable and explained things in a very clear manner. I understood the importance of bringing my feline yearly and plan to do so.My mom recently brought her cat in only to find out that her cat was ill. The decision was made to put her to sleep. My mom is 86 and I thought she was going to lose it but the manner and care that was given to her cat as well as to her was monumental. The compassion and the reassurance that it is okay made a huge difference. The process was never rushed and the veterinarian and assistant always knew what to say to console my mom. What stood out for me was the care and compassion the employees showed before, during and after my moms cat passed. The way they pet her and spoke to her and then snuggled her in her blanket and carried her away as if she was the most precious cargo. And, she was moms precious cat.Thank you so much! I will be spreading the word about how wonderful your clinic is.

In our opinion, Poplar Animal Hospital is the best facility in Concord. From the time you are greeted outside until your appointment is done, every single staff member treats you like you are their only client. Our dog Sadie had knee surgery a few weeks ago and a few days later we had to travel to NY for a family emergency.They took excellent care of her the entire Time, Dr. Amat even called and left a lengthy message how she was doing at 9:40 p.m., what other vet would do that? We love Poplar Animal Hospital. They are always kind, caring and take the time to really listen. Other animal hospitals have stated that due to COVID-19 they have been under staffed and over worked. I believe that is true for most places but Poplar never used that as an excuse for subpar care and customer service.Poplar Animal Hospital has been fantastic!

The veto have seen in the past moved so I needed a new vet. Several friends recommended Poplar Vet. The appointment was for my elderly pug, Charles 13 year old who has shown signs of pain whining walking. The vet was detailed explaining what she recommended and we worked out a plan much to my satisfaction. The Poplar Vetcwill be my choice in the future.

My dog is very anxious and shy, but I never worry about leaving her with the team (since we cant come inside yet) and they are very sweet with her. I also appreciate the staff always doing whatever they can to help find appointments at last minute, since things pop up at the last minute with pets. My pets have seen each of the vets at this practice at one point or another due to random urgent appointments. I trust them to give me honest information and not to run tests that aren’t necessary. If they suggest a test, in my experience with them, it is because they see something that could be a problem. My dogs & cat are my fur babies and I’m thankful for the awesome care and attention that they get at Poplar. ❤️

I was able to call and get an appointment for the same day. Dr Sandra was extremely thorough with her analysis of my dog. While recommending treatment, she made sure to explain costs and procedures before I even asked which was really nice. Assistants were also extremely nice and emphasized calling them if I had any questions or concerns.

We saw Dr. Justus for our elderly cat. She gave him a very complete exam. She always gives us clear information and discusses options with us. We take our cat and our dog to her and we have always gotten excellent care. Our pets really like her and the staff. Dr. Justus is very experienced and good at diagnosing our pets problems and guides us through the best care for them.

The receptionist was very pleasant, courteous, and patient with us and our cat. Dr. Shroud was very pleasant, courteous, very informative and gave us a lot of information with links and paperwork. I highly recommend Poplar Animal Hospital.

Ive been using polar animal hospital for 5 months and love it so far. I really like Dr. Stroud but everyone Ive encountered has been really nice. They helped me with a last minute boarding need which was a lifesaver. Overall, Im happy to trust my dog to this practice.

They have always taken care of my dogs and when boarding them for the first time, they set my mind at ease that my two fur babies would be well cared for. They gave me a report card about each of them along with positive feedback on my dogs.

Ive been taking my dogs to Dr. Justis at Poplar Animal Hospital since 2009. She is the best. We lost our Chloe Belle this past January and Dr Justis called, text, emailed me to check on her after she had to be transferred to CARE for further treatment. Chloe didnt make it. So when our Troy Boy got sick this past weekend, I got him in right away on Monday morning to see Dr Justis. He had a severe irritated bowel issue. Brought him home that afternoon, but Monday night/Tuesday morning, he got worse. I took him straight there Tuesday morning. They took him right in and started treatment. He had to stay overnight and he improved with treatment of fluids and medicines. I brought him home Wednesday afternoon and he is doing great. Dr Justis went in to check on him and call me with a status update Wednesday morning by 8:30 AM even though it was her day off. You will not find a better Vet or Hospital to take your beloved pet.

My dog came down with diarrhea and I contacted Poplar Animal hospital. They were able to get her in very quickly, gave her an injection and sent us home with a bottle of pills. The staff is always so very caring and concerned. I have been to other vets in the past but none compare with Poplar Animal Hospital.

I’ve always had a great experience with poplar animal hospital. The curbside service, however, is no longer necessary and inconvenient. We would expect to see this hospital begin to return to normal business operations As the inconvenience is no longer justifiable. Face-to-face communications with the physician is a must. Hopefully this will change shortly or we have discussed finding another veterinarian with more reasonable operations. Absolutely love the staff and the physicians here so we don’t want to do that.

They really seem to live my pet. Only been going there since COVID, so I have only spoken to the vet on the phone, but I love the safety precautions. They make recommendations but don’t try to oversell you. Very reasonably priced.my pet loves it here.

First timer at Poplar Animal Hospital and thoroughly pleased! They were personable and very positive about my dog Paisley. They answered all my questions, and I felt like truly gave Paisley the time and attention she needed. They also noticed her nails were long and cut them as a cherry on top to the visit because as experts, they knew thats what she needed. Will definitely be taking Paisley back!

I have been taking my cat and dog to Poplar Tent Veterinary for over seven years. My animals are always treated with TLC. The vet assistants and the doctors always listen carefully to my concerns. Sadly, I’ve had to have them put two of my pets to sleep at end of life. They are patient and very compassionate through the whole process. I highly recommend this office for the health and care of your animals.

I am sorry that I did not get any names during my visit yesterday. But they are all so sweet and treat my dog as if he was theirs. I really love how they talked to Benji and he went right with them. It makes going such an easy task. I really like the curb side visits. You are all doing a wonderful job and make me so happy to come to your office.

Only thing I did NOT like is that we could not go in even with a mask!!!!! This was our first time there and the first time are rescued puppy was away from us. It was a lot for both us. They would have gotten 5 stars if it was not for that. Good value and very busy.

We’ve been clients of poplar animal hospital for years, but only until recently we’ve only just gotten yearly shots, etc. our cat, Billy, became blocked and it became an emergency situation. We were back and forth between the ER vet and poplar. Poplar performed surgery on Billy. We felt we were nickel and diced every single time we had to bring him in for after care. I’m pretty sure they charged us for air that we breathed while there. We were also not able to get ahold of anyone on the phone on numerous occasions, which is pretty scary when you have a sick kitty. We were so angry with the treatment and excessive charges that we left our vet of almost 20 years. Please think twice before grinding your beloved pets here. You’re just a number, or really a dollar sign, here. There are lots of other vets locally that will care for your pets with compassion and love. This is definitely not the one!

Great visit for our two new puppies! Dr. Stroud and all the staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful! However, I sure will be glad when they can restart indoor and face to face visits with pets and pet owners again. Yesterday was in the 90s and I miss talking with staff directly.

I drive 45 minutes to bring my babies to this vet solely because of how much care they show to my cats. They all go above and beyond during my cats appointments and I am so grateful for them!

We have been going to Poplar Tent Animal hospital for over 10 years. We have had them see our puppies and kittens and even hold our hands as some of our family pets have passed on. They are professional and knowledgeable and by far the only vet I trust. Dr Justice is AMAZING. They have also groomed my pups for over ten years. The groomer does the best out of any other groomer I have used at a reasonable price. I love that they retain their staff and my animals have grown to know them and love they and not stress out when they go.

Their process of coming out to get animals and we remain out in car works except when it is hot, cold or raining. I miss the human interaction and waiting inside in relative comfort which you dont get except, although you can go inside to use restroom. However, all that aside, they do a great job and the vet comes out if you need to talk or if they need to talk to you. They are good about returning calls also.

Everyone was so nice. Everything was explained to me precisely and my questions were all entertained.

We dropped our old 10 yr old dog at 830 in the morning and were never told she was ready. We had to call ourselves to find out she had been ready to be picked up FIVE HOURS Ago. She waited in that place a total of 9 hours. When we brought this up, the girl was insistent shes not a receptionist and it wasnt her fault. Okay? Were not blaming you, just letting you know it was an awful experience. On top of all that Weve asked Multiple times to have an address changed away from an abusive household and they still have not. They used to be good, but just keep dropping the ball.

So I’d taken my sweet puppy there 3-5 times by now. The vet tech I believe is the one that comes and gets your dog. The last several times the tech that came out was not personable, initially I thought I was just crazy but I took my boyfriend and friend with me on separate occasions to which they both agreed that the specific tech that was coming to get Ellie (my puppy) was absolutely awful, she was cold, and wouldn’t answer any questions that I had. After the last encounter with her I was adamant that I was going to pull my dog from this vet. However Ellie needed to go back the other day and I didn’t know how to pull her information to get her into another vet so I was ready to take her and request all paperwork to find another vet BUT LET ME TELL YOU! When we got there a different girl came out, blonde hair and glasses. I will be keeping my puppy there because of this girl. They need to give her a raise! She was so kind, I had multiple questions and if she didn’t know the answer to it she went inside the bring me the correct information, she was the best vet tech I’ve ever experienced, Ellie absolutely loved her and the tech was loving all over her. Because of this girl Ellie will stay with Poplar Animal, I wish we could get her every time. She got two different vets there to check Ellie out. She did everything in her power to make sure my girl was taken care of. I absolutely love her and she is the whole reason I’m giving them 5 stars. She was perfect and I could not have asked for a better tech. You can tell she chose her profession based on her passion.

Usually if I leave they won’t eat and I called to check up on Princess and Jasper and they were eating and they said that they were doing fine!!! Best Doctors ever! Explains in detail, and price on the treatment. All the staffs are always working hard, walking to the customer in the parking lot in the heavy rain, freezing cold winder or hot summer. They are so kind to our dogs . Recently I had to put my 17 years old down, but we couldnt be there because of the COVID situation. Dr. Justis and staffs were so kind and she held my dog as she was passing. Thank you so much!

I took my first puppy to this Poplar Animal hospital, and so far I have no complaints. I like using the PetWellness app to keep up with my puppies appointments and vaccination, they provided information about puppy health and information on how to crate train, best puppy food, shampoo and vaccine/medication. The veternarian took the time to ask me about my pets overall heath and answered all my questions. I use lemonade insurance and they were able to respond to the insurance company about my puppy health and vaccination information.

Everyone is always so friendly and takes excellent care of both my cat and me. They are the best.

They have helped our baby boy for years, he had a rare disease, and we went with everything they said to do. Now we knew the cost and we did it, and it gave us the time we wanted. But when it was done they said it’s time. We lost him today, but there wasn’t a area to sit in our room cause of all the vet techs and Dr’s that was in there with us. When he passed they was there and crying with us. A true family at this place, couldn’t ask for anything more.

My dog’s eyes were getting weepy so I called and left a message twice to see if there was something over the counter I could give him. This was on a Thursday & Friday. My call was never returned. We went out of town on a Saturday and returned Tuesday. We took him in that day and learned he had severe infections in both eyes. Had we been called before we left town it might have prevented the severity of his infection and saved us an outrageous expense. Debating on changing vets.

Ive been going to Poplar Animal Hospital for over 12 years with 3 dogs, every time I call or visit customer service is great, they always call me back if I leave a message, call to check on my dog if weve had a sick visit, and most important- they genuinely care about the pets they see. I am an over protective dog mom and they are patient with me explaining all my options and what to expect going forward. Where else can you go and feel confident about ALL the vets and staff in one location?

We have been with Poplar Animal Hospital since they opened. Love all the doctors and staff. We recently moved to Mooresville and even tho it is now almost an hour drive, we will continue to take our pets to them.

This part of the visit was 5 stars all the way!!I brought my cat in after an obvious attack by something. I pulled up to one of the numbered spaces and within a minute someone came out and took our information. They recognized my urgency because within a couple of minutes of her walking away to set up the chart someone was already coming back to take more information and to take my cat in.I sat there for about 10 minutes and then the Dr. came out and we discussed what could of happened to Milo and approximately how much it was going to cost for the visit. After I approved it they brought me the paperwork to sign and let me know I’d hear from the Dr., this was at 9:30. At 12 I called to check on him and was told he was resting and the Dr. would be calling. At 12:20 I got a call verifying he had been attacked by a dog and he was going to be ok. The dr was understanding that Milo was not easy to give pills to so she gave him the liquid pain medication which made my life so much easier! She also gave him plenty so he was very comfortable. I appreciated this very much! Thank you!!This part I could only give 2 Stars... :(I arrived to pick Milo up and the girl came out of the office carrying him in his carrier but swinging him around like she was carrying groceries! Even slammed him into the door. I know she wasn’t doing this on purpose but she had no common sense that a wounded animal was in the crate and she needed to be gentle. She brought him to the car and I got him and loaded him. Everything was very convenient even making payment was a breeze. I just want them to think about how the animal feels when they are being banged, swung, and tilted in a crate. Especially when injured and traumatized.

I absolutely love Poplar Animal Hospital!! My sweet Ellie has been a patient here for 13 years. Everyone knows Ellie and loves on her everytime we visit. She was pretty sick last week and without hesitation, they worked her in on a busy Friday and got her feeling much much better. So thankful for them!!!!

My husband & I had 5 Shetland Sheep dogs. In the last year we have had 2 to go over the rainbow to the other side. Before we lost them Poplar Animal were excellent. Anytime we had an issue with one of th dogs they were always there to help. We had one that had seizures. The other one was blind & diabetic. They have gone to other vets. I have been taking my dogs to Poplar Animal Hospital for about five years now. We’ve experienced the gamut. Neutering, lump removal and biopsy, teeth cleaning, skin allergies, ear hematoma treatment and surgery. I have been thrilled with the care we have received from the doctors, technicians, and front desk staff alike. They are efficient, caring, and pleasant. They were all unbelievably kind when it was time to euthanize our dog who was dying from liver cancer. Highly recommend!

Came in no appointment, couldnt go inside but Dr Amat was terrific, my little yorkie was bitten by another dog. He came out and gave me an update as quick as possible. Thank goodness for the excellent care!!
