My best friend rented a car from this place and not only did the tire pop after having it less than 24 hours but there was NO spare tire in the car what so ever! We were waiting for help for HOURS!!!! Not to mention the car was not basically on empty when we got it and we have to buy a new tire for a RENTAL!!!. I was very disappointed with the service that was provided to my best friend and not only will we not rent from this company again but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone as well.

Good service had to bring our Van back late. They worked with us had good service and the Van was clean they are not luxury vans but they get the Job done I would have liked the transport tho as much as we rent with them.... over all great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful when we called.

We rented a mini van and a 12 pax van to shuttle crew and talent. The service was the BEST and rates better than anywhere else. No problems with setting up an account, revising the dates, pick up & drop off were easy and the vans were clean and in great shape. I highly recommend AVR Las Vegas!

After making reservations for a rental in advance we try to use our Citibank MasterCard which their outdated system would not accept flagging it as a prepaid card. The card was definitely not a prepaid card. The system was just outdated and incompatible. This put us in a very stressful situation where we have had to scramble to find a dealership that had available vans last minute. I would warn you that they might not accept your cards even if you bank with a big name bank like Citibank.

There are many horror stories of van rentals during the pandemic, but this rental was truly 5 stars for us. We rented a 12 passenger van at LAS and the vehicle was perfect for our group. Socorro was our agent and she got us out the door quickly. The price paid was reasonable for our party of 6 with luggage to visit the Grand Canyon from Vegas. AVR isnt well known, and that made me nervous at first, but they will soon be well known I predict. AC even kept us cool at temps upto 108! Highly recommended.

We had a reservation for morning pick up. The van was not ready. Only 1 person at the rental counter to help customers. She kept trying to sell us full coverage on the rental van before closing out our rental agreement. The Chev 12 passenger van was scratched and dented all the way around with 112,000 miles on it. It had 4 brand new tires on it and did drive good.

I rented from this company so I could take a group of my students on a field trip. My initial experience was not very positive, as I was treated almost as an inconvenience when I first walked in. However, when the owner discovered this was my experience she reached out to me and assisted me in a very diligent and kind manner. This was really meaningful. Additionally, the van worked well the whole time and the process of the return was very smooth.

I have never heard of AVR Van Rental before, but the came through for me. I was having a horrible after one of the worst flights (spirit) in my life. Furthermore, my car rental was not suitable for what I was looking for. At the last moment, Socorro saved the day!!!! She came through big such stellar customer service.

DO NOT RENT A VEHICLE FROM HERE!!!This rental company is not part of the actual airport. There is A LOT of hidden fees. I reserved a 15 passenger transit van and was given a 15 passenger cargo van with bad brakes. The supervisor is a liar and does NOT go over all the charges with you. I was told my amount was $530 including a $200 deposit later to find out I was being charged $730 with a $200 deposit. Be sure to review your contract.I wish I would rate them no stars!!

They claim to get you through with no wait if you pre-pay, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. It took us an hour and 20 minutes to get our rental AND we still had to go through an entire separate set of processing steps before we could leave - even though we pre-paid.

It took me OVER AN HOUR to take a 12 pass van. There was no line just unprofessional clerk to deal with. The rate is good but then they nickel and dome you for extra. The 12 and 15 pass fleet they have is old, dirty and warn out. Would never rent from them again and do not recommend it to anyone. Forgot to mention - they dont have a shuttle you have to walk with your luggage from McCarran rental car centre. And no public restroom either make sure your do your business somewhere else before that 1 hour rental car pick up!

Agree with some of the other reviews. Hidden fees and forced you to pay extra for insurance and deposit when you already made a pre-paid reservation. Rental agent said you wouldn’t know about that until you get to the reservation counter. Really? On top of that, van was old, made a bunch of wind noise and the door squeaked like crazy. Better off renting elsewhere and paying extra, at least you know what you’ll get.

The actual rental place and the facility and employees were just fine. No problems. Friendly, and I was in and out of there VERY fast. My complaint is having never rented a larger van before, I put a lot of faith in the company to provide what I needed. I told them we have 12 guys on a golf trip and would need transportation from Vegas to Mesquite for all 12 and 12 sets of golf clubs and luggage. Two different representatives assured me that their 12 person van option would be just fine. That it had plenty of storage. I expected a Shuttle-type van with plenty of room for the clubs at least. This was NOT the case. We could only fit 8 of us (packed in like sardines) and there was virtually NO storage so we had to pack the back seat with clubs and luggage!! We ended up having to rent a 2nd vehicle on the fly which was very chaotic, but in the end...all worked out. Your representatives need to be more aware of what will and will not work for rental situations. We needed a MUCH larger vehicle than this place could offer and all we had was 12 bodies, 12 sets of clubs in traveling cases and one suitcase each. Bad choice!!! But if you need a quick option for a smaller group, the place did a great job moving things along and getting us out of there.

The worst van rental company in America! Not only did they not have our van ready when we arrived, they promised to call me as soon as a van was available. After three voice messages the next day, I finally got a hold of the Company. They proceeded to tell me that I had cancelled the reservation which could not be further from the truth. Do not use this Company!

Was very dissatisfied with this place. We rented a big van because we had a group traveling and we all had to walk to get the van and carry all our luggage with us due to them laying off their shuttle person. When I went to inspect van there was cup holders missing, vent in front for heater and AC was missing, seats were moving as if they were going to come out and not to mention I noticed that tags were expired. I went in to let them know and all I was told is that they were renewed but never was offered another van when there was a lot full of other ones. I don’t think while driving out in a different state I should of been subjected to possibly getting pulled over. I would not recommend renting from them.

This place is a RIPOFF!! Please do not rent from the Las Vegas location. They charged me a $200 cleanup fee for not vacuuming the car out before dropping it off. When I called to dispute the charges I was told it is what it is after being placed on hold for 1 hour. I do not recommend this place at all.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - WILL RUIN YOUR TRIP.We picked up the van Thursday February 4th and thought we thoroughly inspected the Van, asides from the huge dents and scuff marks that we obviously saw, the van had a crack at the top of the windshield that we missed (Van is already tall, high on the windshield was easy to miss) after we left the shop around 4:30. We noticed the crack on the windshield approx 45 minutes later. We took a picture of the windshield for evidence and called it in. After drop off (we dropped the car early AM so we used the drop box) We got a call saying the windshield was cracked. We sent them the picture we took and told them we called it in. AVR Rental refuses to acknowledge that the damage was pre-existing and has charged us $600+ for a new windshield. They told us anything could have happened for the 45 minutes we had the car. Avoid if you can. The lower prices are not worth the headache in my opinion.EDIT: we talked to Lady Binayan and they said they would check the last 3 customers before us for windshield damage. This email was sent on April 20, we have asked for updates since and they have not gotten back to us. The owner likes to post reponses on the google reviews but we have not had any follow ups to resolve the issue.

Completely ruined our vacation. Dont count on them to honor a 2 month old can reservation, dont count on them to call you with a warning if they dont have your vehicle. We showed up with our large group ready to pick up at the scheduled time and they just shrugged at us and said they didnt have it. No apologies or other options, nothing. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! I made the mistake of renting from them. They tried to force me to get the rental insurance I didnt want. They took a $200 security deposit after I prepaid for my reservation. well the day after I returned the van they tried to charge my card another $147. Luckily I had lost my card so they we declined. I called and asked them why that charge was for their reply was We lost the keys so we thought you still had the Van IT WAS SEATING IN FRONT OF THIER DOOR! They then have refused to return my security deposit. Ive spent 3 days trying to find out why and they cant tell me why.This place is a scam and will definitely rip you off!As an update since they want to comment on here with lies.I have video of the keys being left in the drop box as I did not trust this place from the beginning. They also did not call me before trying to charge my card. Ive reported them to all review sites as well as the BBB.

I booked a minivan for my family for December 15 at 3pm. When I arrived, I was told there were no minivans and the only thing available were 15 seaters. We had no choice but to take one. We were repeatedly told that the minivans would be coming in any minute now. At around 10pm, we were notified that the minivans had become available. After having paid $20 and a lot of time wasted looking for oversized vehicle parking, I returned to the lot to exchange the large passenger van for the minivan. I was not offered a discount for the significant inconvenience, nor did the manager contact me as I requested. If this company is charging late fees to those whom return vehicles late, then those whom are affected by lack of vehicle availability should be compensated for breach of agreement.Very disappointed with the customer service.< update 12/31/2019>Upon contact with GM Steve, he was able to hear my concerns and was very sympathetic of my experience. He went beyond my expectations in resolving my issues and I therefore am grateful to have experienced such exemplary customer service. I will use their van service next time I return to Las Vegas (with fingers crossed that my booked vehicle will be available).

I rented from this company Labor Day weekend. It was a crack on the windshield a small tiny one that I did not mark on the paper but I have it recorded on my phone because I do videos of all rentals in case I miss something. I had to call the police to come and almost miss my flight. She said I didn’t mark it on paper doesn’t matter if it’s on the video that was so crazy to try and charge people not at fault. Then she looked through a bunch of papers and said ohh your good to go I assume she found a paper stating the crack that had been there before me. Also they overcharged my card. Had my deposit in pending as far as returning and then it fell off and they charged me $400 for the 3 days. Had to call my bank and dispute because no one wants to answer the phone and I know that office isn’t that busy

Our Family has used AVR Rental...in San Jose,Ca & Burlingame,Cal. Each time...the Van that we rented took us to and from our destinations without any problems.We especially love, and enjoy dealing with Tammi and Jennifer at these two locations.

We rented a van from AVR renal about 1 month ago. The prices were great, very affordable. We checked on line for a better deal and couldn’t beat AVR prices. They service was great everyone there seems to be happy and efficient. The cars were in great condition, clean. Return was simple just quick and easy. I would definitely rent from AVR renal again. Friends and family know about this place!!! BTW- them explaining car coverage is NOT upwelling. They are just making sure you know how coverage works and if you need to buy additional coverage.

I had a reservation at 10pm but my flight happened to be delayed and i didn’t get in till 1am due to weather. When I got there they where closed (closed at 12:00am) which I understand, but I didn’t appreciate the fact that they didn’t honor my existing reservation. They canceled my previous reservation and they said they could make a new reservation for me for triple the amount. Definitely not fair in my opinion. It would had been nice to honor the original price for an event that was out of my control.

Thanks for asking. Customer service was not good. Staff seemed unhappy upon pickup and drop off. No welcome, no thank you. The interior of the minivan was filthy upon pickup. Staff was asked if it could be cleaned. After it was cleaned, it was apparent that the dirt was just moved around. We ended up having it cleaned at a car wash. No issues otherwise.

LAS location is a scam. Exactly like another post indicated, when I returned this van (it had 92,000 miles when they gave it to me), I went around the vehicle early in the morning and the rep Terri said I dont see any damage and I agreed. I did not know at the time, in her hands was a file full of pre-existing small dents and scratches and chips but my paper was completely blank. When I returned, I had put a lot of miles on in 6 days, slept in the darn thing and never left it out of my site while on the Interstate to FL and back. Upon return, the manager looked at the mileage and shuffled papers for 10 minutes in a cabinet them went outside and immediately pointed to this fender in the attached picture and said you said no damage and there is damage so you are responsible. I could not see unless I bent down as it was a slight scuff, nothing compared to the crumpled license plate on the front.I argued for a while but felt this was a scam so I simply called VISA. And thats why I always use a good credit card for rentals for joints like this one. VISA took over and I just saw on my statement that AVR LAS charged US$200 for the damage in this photo--wherever it is, and it was credited back by VISA.My advice is stay away from AVR LAS and use reputable companies. Take photos, use a CC that covers rentals. Ask for any prior damage reports and have that indicated on your report.To add insult, I kept getting a flat tire as I was traveling and had to fill it up every day. When I got back to AVR LAS and saw the managers reports with the pre-existing damage I saw the mechanics note LOW TIRE. The buggers had given me a van that they knew was not roadworthy.I think they scammed me and you could be next.

So we rented from the Vegas location. Super easy. Great staff. Clean van. Full of fuel. We loved dealing with Amber, Kimberly, and Ann. Don’t believe the bad reviews. We will return.

Andrew was phenomenal.Always read the fine print - you must have proof of liability and injury and it needs to say it is valid in the United states in order to not have to purchase insurance... this is their policy. This would have added an additional $500 to a 10 day van rental.This was a bit stressful and unexpected after arriving at 10pm, alone with a toddler.But Andrew and his colleague helped sort situation. He was very understanding and patient with my frustrations. Kudos.

Excellent experience! I dont know why there are so many mixed reviews. I will only rent from them when back in Vegas. We arrived at the rental station, and they picked us up within 5 minutes. All the staff was super friendly. They gave us a minivan, which was funny because there were only two of us, but it is after all a van rental place. We found the deal of a lifetime on their website, and rented the van for the whole week. They were great to deal with, very easy. Had us in and out in maybe 20 minutes total. I was shocked they were not busier, considering the good deals they have. This is definitely the way to go. They charged my card up front for the rental plus 200.00, which is typical, and then after returning it they posted the 200.00 refund. I give them an A+.

I spoke with Steve the Manager on the below problem, and he really came through for our team on this. Thank you so much!I showed up on time for my large van for a youth soccer team that had just flown in. I was informed that they didn’t have any vans and didn’t know if they would get more even by the next day. I had prepaid for this van about 3 months in advance. I asked what my options were and they said there weren’t any there. I also asked why I was not contacted and told that they would not have my van (they had my email and phone #). they said they don’t do that. I was told that I could call in the morning and get more answers from the manager. Luckily, Hertz had a van and I rented that, but it cost about $200 more. Well, I did call in the morning and was immediately told to call AVR corporate because they could do nothing for me there. I called AVR corporate and they finally canceled my rental and issued a refund. Beyond that, they refused to compensate us at all for having to rent from Hertz. They claim to be the best at customer service but I think they failed here.

Arrived to pick up the 12 passenger van. They’re all out! Supposedly the one we were getting was “extended” for the weekend. The customer service was lazy, unprofessional, and just not empathic. Had a huge weekend plan with 10 people just to end up paying more for less squeezing into a 7 passenger minivan. Super disappointed

Please think twice before renting here, especially if your trip is important. My sons soccer team had a tournament 9 hrs away keep in mind this van was rented 2 months in advance and we get a call the day before to tell us our van is not available they are sold out, complete disappointment not to mention they honestly didn’t offer us any type of resolution I will never rent here again!!!!!!

I picked up car from San Jose and returned to Las Vegas location. I had pleasant experience while I was making reservation and picking it up from San Jose location. They were kind and tried to accommodate all the needs. Few days after while I was returning the car in Las Vegas location, I made a call to the location to see whether they have shuttle service to the airport for large number of passenger. They told, they have shuttle to the airport which can carry large number of passengers.  When I went there it was not exactly what they explained. They use the same van that I drove and offered ride to across the street where public airport shuttle is. I should have dropped my family to the airport first and dropped by myself. I refused the ride for just crossing the street, since I had to load all the bags and strollers / car seat again. We just crossed the street by walking to take the airport shuttle.The other problem I had was while they were inspecting car during the return. On the day of picking up I had inspection for van, and noticed several windshield cracks. They just marked big two X.  On Las Vegas, the lady who claimed as manager was counting each numbers of cracks, and told me there more than my inspection on other location. She was about to charge on those, which I even did not make. I complained but she did not listen. She was just kept saying they will do by the paper. I felt almost like it was scam of how they make money. I did not feel comfortable on this location and the lady who inspect and did the paper work.I had to leave to catch the flight with very bad feeling. Again the problem was resolved by calling San Jose location. They somehow took care of the issue,I do recommend San Jose location but not Las Vegas. They have horrible service.

We had a problem with our reservation due to a third party computer error. AVR found a way to get us a van at the original price it was booked at which was not easy to do. Everyone here was super nice and worked hard to get us out of a jam.

Ive dealt with many rental vehicle companies and by their nature they are predatory, full of up-charges, lots of fine print, and high pressure. My experience with AVR has been overall positive. You have bits of all of the negatives but the rental process was smooth, the price good, and the vehicles adequate. They do have limited hours and you have to make sure that your flight falls within their open hours or youll have issues.
