Check in/out was simple. Charles who checked me in was very friendly. The woman who did the vehicle inspection on our way out, noted some dings that I had not payed attention to. This location (Golden Nugget) is so much easier than at the airport.

Rosario was great and very helpful! A little confusing to find but we figured it out . Easy check in and check out. The car we got was perfect for our road trip but did have some leftover garbage when we picked it up (water bottle, old chew can) but overall it was pretty clean and no issues mechanically.Prior to pick up I had tried to call the number and I kept getting rerouted to the 800 number, and twice the connection dropped which was aggravating.

TERRIBLE!!! I was told I could get 100% refund on my cancellation if I called the 1800 number before the 24 hr mark (which I was). The phone representative wanted to charge me $150 for the cancellation. I told him what the representative at Budget/Golden Nugget explained to me and then the phone representative said he would charge me $50 for the cancellation. I did not get a chance to even finish my sentence when the phone representative HUNG UP ON ME!!! SO RUDE!!! AND I was charged for something I should have not been charged for.

Budget office at the GoldenNugget. Rental agent was great, but unfortunately instead of the Mustang convertible I reserved, all the had for me was a Ford F150 pickup.

We rented from Charles (again) and he was very efficient and knowledgeable. We upgraded our reserved vehicle to a Jeep Sahara and it was the best thing we did. I will always rent from him/ this location when staying at the Gold Nugget in Las Vegas.

I rented a vehicle on 8/15/20. Upon pickup the vehicle pick up was quick and easy. Took a quick peak at the cars exterior and left. That night before traveling as I was loading the vehicle and I got a wiff of cigarettes. In the process of loading the car I found a used face mask, glasses and empty bottles. These items were either stashed under the seats or in the side pockets. I took a closer look at the car and it did not appear to be cleaned. I could see the previous renters finger prints all over the radio/gps and handles. Considering that we are going through a pandemic, I personally do not feel that the rental company is doing their part in thoroughly cleaning the vehicles. Before returning the vehicle I personally went to wash the car and have it sanitized. Upon drop off, I left the front desk with the receipt of the vehicles car wash and informed them of all the items I found in the car as well as the “cleanliness”. All I got was a “thank you”. If you care for your loved ones, I implore you to check the vehicle the rent from this company and make sure they actually cleaned and inspected the vehicle.

It is a very convenient location for those of us who choose to stay downtown. The staff was very pleasant to deal with. It was so much easier than renting from the airport facility and a lot less in taxes too!

Chuck at rental desk is the best. He was very knowledgeable and friendly even though tour bus after tour bus tried to hand him room keys to check out. Most spoke little to no english and he had to repeat himself many time. Chuck keeps his cool and remained friendly to all. The car was clean and had only a miner scratch or two. Best customer service ever. Thanks Chuck.

The facility is inside the Golden Nugget, and is an absolute breeze for guests! Parking is free if you are staying at the hotel, and it was a quick pick-up and drop-off procedure. Gentleman at the front desk was very helpful, and I felt clear on all of the expectations of the return. A little more expensive than other companies, but no hiccups.

Chuck the manager was super nice and really personable and efficient. The lady working in the garage was very nice and very helpful. This car rental experience was one of the better we have had and we do rent cars all over the country for business and pleasure. We will rent from this location in the future and we do highly recommend this location; however make a list of free parking available on the strip before renting parking on the strip is stupid expensive and because of that there were several casinos we did not visit this time, so I do suggest you make a list of free strip parking if your going down there.

First visit to Las Vegas from Hawaii in April 2019. I read the blogs (due diligence on my part) which had some negativity that I questioned why I should go there but it was closest to our hotel (usually rent from the airport) so I gave it a try. I found the car agent(only one there) to be very personable despite 3 or more customers behind me. Everything was explained to me and all the fees were clearly defined as I see some blogs complained about fees (every state has them). The car was clean and ready to go with 6K miles on it. I would recommend renting from them again.No, I am not a robot.

Rented a car and got a small SUV. perfect for Death Valley. Ran great and great mileage. Really made our visit great.

The facility is basically a booth in part of the lobby - only room for one staffer. Seemed to take a long time to process the reservations that were not prepaid. Once checked in it was quick and easy to get the car, and much cheaper than getting one from the airport. No problem to pick it up here and return at the airport once the trip is over.

Budget Car Rental at The Golden Nugget, was one of the best experiences I have had with renting a car. The man at the desk was very knowledgeable about all the places to see within driving distance from the city. He took the time to give direction etc. Car was very clean and drove like new.

If it were possible to give negative stars then that would be my selection. Be careful of potentially dishonest practices at this location. I returned a car here in May 2016 which was thoroughly inspected and given a check-in slip indicating no damages. Thirty minutes later I receive a voicemail telling me theres damages to the windshield. A few weeks later I receive a collection letter for the damages. Included in the packet is a check-in slip that now has damages indicated which is NOT the slip I handed to the desk agent, Rosario. If this were the check-slip, why would they need to call to let me know the car had damages. I would have known at the time the check-in agent inspected the car and according to their own policy would have filled out an accident report. The car was returned, no damages indicated and no longer in my possession. I have no way of knowing what happened to the car after I left. When I requested photos of the damages none could be provided. Budget can essentially mark up a check-in slip after the fact and pressure customers to pay. I dont know but it sounds fraudulent to me. Be cautious.

My husband arrived after me and needed to be added to the paperwork so he could drive the car. This location was a little confusing to find just because it was hidden within Golden Nugget. But the gentleman who helped us was quick and friendly. We would use them again.

I am a local and needed to rent a car so I choose budget and this one was the closest one to my house. We put it under my boyfriends name as the driver and I was paying for it. Because we did that the gut at the counter was so rude and just really unhelpful. He did not want to go out of his way to help us. So since my boyfriend was the driver but not paying for it he needed to provide 2 utility bills in his name but all the utilities are under my name. So I was like what can I do and he just did not want to help at all. So I called customer service and luckily they refunded the whole payment because I prepaid. Then we made another reservation under my name. If you rent a car there be prepared to not get above and beyond service ..

Counter person added additional insurance. I advised the person this was my first time renting normally my wife does and we rent from Alamo. However a friend said to try Budget. He was trying to upsale additional insurance. I asked him if all cars come with basic insurance and he said yes. But purchasing optional insurance is a great benefit it covers everything. I got on the phone called my wife and she said not to because our personal vehicle insurance covers other vehicles we drive . So I told me I dont need it he said ok and told me to initial where he pointed out. I trust him and didnt read it. I asked when everything was done. And he said the total would be 136 tax included. Upon my return my final receipt shows a hundred thirty something total. But I was charged 275.oo. I requested for a recording and the camera. This person literally cheated for an upsale. I will dispute this with my bank

I recently pre paid online to make sure we had a car for Sunday and Monday but we never ended up needing it until Monday being that I pre paid the full amount I would assume that means the car is mine to use for 2 days but boy was I wrong. They charge you ahead of time but they cancel you with no refund. If I did a no show on a 1 day rental I would totally understand but this wasn’t the case. Totally bad business practice.

The hoops these people make you jump through to rent a car are ridiculous. Fully insured drivers, with no record; Paying in advance. Rented a van from them before under the exact same circumstances maybe 5 months ago. Different location meant a completely different set of rules for some reason. Had to change vehicle size due to the different rules but they still charged for the large size vehicle. Wouldnt return the $70 difference until our contract was up and we returned the vehicle a week later. Will never use Budget again. Im one of those forever scorned consumers.

My husband and I just got back home from our trip to Las Vegas this week! We work for the airlines so we didnt want to reserve a car at the airport because we simply dont know when well be arriving or on what flight routing. So we decided to pick it up a day into our vacation knowing that wed be there by then.We stayed at the Plaza so this was so convenient to pick it up at the Golden Nugget just across the street!So we had a few hiccups ... the system was down the day we picked up the car, so everything had to be processed by hand. It took almost 2 hours to get the car between waiting in line, filling paperwork, and receiving the keys. Luckily someone showed up to get the ball rolling on the paperwork. He was very friendly and apologetic. It seems as though it was a problem all week long and I dont know if this is common. Several folks said they waited hours the day before as well.Due to the wait, we were upgraded to a full-size Ford Fusion at no charge. The car was well maintained and drove very well ... gas mileage wasnt great though. I enjoyed the ride and our phones provided GPS to get us around. We went to Lake Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon, the strip, and to a few museums too.Then we had a big problem. As I stated, we work for the airline so we dont know when we will be flying. We had planned to go home Saturday afternoon, so we would drop off the car and take the shuttle back to the airport. Then all the afternoon flights filled up and we needed to take the 7:45am flight out ... but the office at the Golden Nugget doesnt open till 7:30am. (Closes at 6pm). So I called the day before and the lady was super nice. She said that the fee was $25 to drop the car off at the airport ... I was more than willing to pay, but she realized I was one of the many inconvenienced by the long waits that week and she waived the fee!When I dropped it off at the airport, drop off was painless! He walked around the car, took the keys, and gave me a receipt ($4 cheaper than I reserved it online!)Hey, you cant always fix the long waits when things go wrong, but they took a bad experience and made it into a great one! It was so worth the wait for the nice car, and flexibility on drop off.

Rented from this place the past 3 years. Theres an associate named Chuck. He knows his stuff. Hes a one man show so sometimes the line/wait can be long because he doesnt have any help. The location in the Golden Nugget Hotel is Verrrry convenient.

Good price, clean, working vehicle, and vehicle we preselected, but bs tactics at checkout to try to get you to buy unnecessary extra insurance when you already have fool coverage. The aforementioned review was a year prior. Went back and used due to price and experienced even worse customer service this time around. Employee lied trying to tell us we were rquired to purchase their insurance and would not stop pushing it when asked to stop. Employee was argumentative and told us he didnt care whether or not we rented from them.

Got re-routed to another Budget location, same issues and then some more. STAY AWAY.To clarify, Ive rented a similar car from another company 3 days before... and NONE of the trouble was there.Pros: got a car (with wheels and other parts. I guess.)Cons:- got into long arguments around insurance. Booked through a website and received a final price - but this place tried to hard-sell me a TPL or a higher insurance, ranging from 16 to 50 USD per day! Only after I threatened to walk away, they gave in and canceled the markups. Extra insurances are not visible anywhere, and are based on some dodgy internal memos - with totally intransparent calculations behind, and with hand-written prices like were somewhere in a deep 3rd world country.- got a car without license plates, which led to several cases of me being pulled over by police, and undergoing a full document check... for nothing.- got a car with driving limitations to CA, NV, UT, AZ states only. Is the rest not in America? Or does this relate to a missing license plate?- got to sign ridiculous amounts of unique paperwork, e.g. confirming that I wont smoke in the car or leave it dirty, and that I dont have traffic tickets in other countries (!!!).

Ideally, reservations guarantee availability. Otherwise, a courtesy call would be appreciated. Arriving to wait many, many hours for a car to arrive is absurd and unacceptable.

Very bad experience. First, he didnt have the car we wanted, so we had to pay extra to get a car. Then he told Nevada has some extra rules and told us we cant use the collision insurance from neither our credit card nor from insurance and then used some bulls**t Nevada rules to charge us extra for collision insurance. Booked the same from Hertz the next day and didnt have to pay the insurance.

I do not recommend this company. We tried to rent a car after we make reservation and we came for pick up the car. First 30 delay with car delivery. Then they told us that Credit card need to be on Drivers Name even when it was prepaid. Yes they have it in conditions but hidden between 5 sites of A4. Then Guy at desc told us that if we call on their help desc we will cancel it and not pay NO SHOW FEE 150 USD. When we called there they told us that they can do nothing and we need to pay NO SHOW FEE. So No CAR no Apologies and 150 USD FEE for nothing.

Dont rent your car in this location!!!It is a irregular agency. They charged me $172 after half year!!! Ridiculous. I paid full insurance fee but they limit me on areas where I can go, which was not informed when I booked and paid online.If your car has any problem on the road, other Budget sites would have difficulties to help you solve the problem, because this agency isnt in the same system with other Budget agencies. Its so weird.

Horrible customer service. The representative had me on speaker and I was echoing so bad I couldnt hear myself speak over hearing myself echoing back. I asked him if he could fix it and he said he would put me on hold. It took me to a menu that didnt provide any options to help me rent a car. I had to hit zero to get another human but he was just customer service. He advised me to do it online. Im not very tech savvy so I wanted help but he told me， Everyone is doing it online these days. Two different guys. No help whatsoever.

At first we wanted to deceive charging more for insurance that was not necessaryThen when we told him not to fight us he started laughing and things started going wellIn the end we catch red convertible mustang. My advice is that if there is not the car you want, wait a bit in the parking lot and do not stop bringing. We hope 30mins until they brought the red mustang. It was a little dirty with cereals in the back seat, but it must be said that everything was perfect and without problemsWould repeat for sure
