Decided to go with a rose gold full dye with my natural roots, as you can see from my photos I showed the stylist what I was expecting which she said she could do but this is what I got after I washed my hair and removed the curls she did. I didnt notice until after my appt that the stylist dye only the top half of my hair instead of a full dye. Now on my photo I posted you can see the back is still my natural dark brown hair. During my appt, she did use toner twice on my hair which I’m not sure if that causes more damage but she noticed that the color didn’t come out correctly after blow drying the first time, thats when she decided to add additional toner on my hair. I can tell you this that my hair was virgin and as you can see one small section of my hair came out to the color I was expecting but the remaining I’m not even sure what color this is. I was informed I will be charge 150 which I paid but when I check my account they charge my card 170 nor did they send me a receipt. I did inform her I was not happy with the color but she had no response nor suggested to set another appt but she did offer it to her other clients. I left a message for the owner and hopefully I get a call back.

Ive been going here about two years. Everyone is so nice, and talented. They have a stable group of hair dressers so Ive never had to choose a new one. Theyre picky about who they let work here and they decorate the place so cute. You can tell that they really like working there.

Jen is the best hairstylist i’ve ever had in my life! she is so kind and always understands the assignment, i will continue to go to her until i go bald :-)

Great place to go for a pedicure. They are more expensive than some other nail salons, but the quality is well worth it. They are very thorough and do not rush. The staff is extremely kind and they take cleanliness and covid precautions seriously. Highly recommended.

This place may be a little pricey it the quality of services and customer service is sooo worth it. If I need to feel special or go somewhere nice, this is the place I go to. My 6 year old daughter just came for a birthday haircut and she came out feeling like a princess!

I would recommend Chop Shop to all my friends. The staff is wonderful and friendly and very professional. I was never ever disappointed with any of the services I’ve received. I’m moving and will miss them all very much-no other place will be the same.

.I was very nervous to get my first lace front wig but she absolutely slayed my hair! I was So happy with the whole experience! Highly recommended! I’ll be going back for my knotless box braids sew ins and more! The salon vibe is chill and relax all the ladies were very welcoming

This was my first experience with Chop Shop and what a wonderful surprise!!! The staff was amazing and very thoughtful. Ive been in Lansing for most of my life and can kick myself for not checking them out sooner.I read a review stating this was not a safe part of town. Im not sure which planet she flew in from, but downtown Lansing is a great area and I have never had a problem in 50 years of walking these streets.As far as the prices, they are similar to other salons in the area and none had the attention to detail that my stylist Tracy had. I explained to her what I was looking to accomplish and she went above and beyond! I sent my picture to my friends and family and almost every response was WOW!! Thank you Tracy! Youre stuck with me for life. As the saying goes, you get what you paid for!I would highly recommend this salon!!!

I dont normally fill out reviews and surveys, but I have been going to the Chop Shop for about 5 years now and I have never been disappointed. Tracy is my stylist and she is the bomb. The rest of the staff - from reception to the awesome shampooers (who doesnt love to get their head rubbed and scrubbed?!) - are all kind and helpful. Its an easy-going environment where every kind of person feels, and IS, welcome.

Great salon. Laura is the best colorist. I have been every color from blonde to black. My color is always great! Never flat, great highlights. I can give her a picture of a haircut and walk out with every hair identical to the picture. These ladies are the best!!! I would recommend them to both females and males.

I was referred to the Chop Shop in Lansing. I was apprehensive because it is located in a rough area. I made an appointment after being quoted $150 on the high end for a cut, color and styling. While I was there everyone was very friendly and nice. While I was getting my hair done even my stylist told me it would be around $150 for the day and $90 for follow ups.I wanted a sun kissed look in my hair, basically bronde with a Lob cut. My stylist recommended a full head of highlights and she placed color on the rest. The cut turned out great. My hair looks like a cross between green and grey. My stylist couldnt get the color how she expected so she added toner. After 3.5 hours I had plans and needed to go. I almost had a heart attack when my bill came to $238.00 with out a tip. Well what they dont tell you is that everything is al-la cart, toner included!!!!! So they NICKEL and DIME you for everything. When I was there a lady sweeping the floor asked me if I wanted a drink and I asked for a water. She never brought it, but I am thankful she in didnt because I dont know how much that would have cost me!The bottom line is if you enter in to an agreement with a stylist to do a job for a price I would expect toner to be included if you need to add it to cover your mistakes. If I wanted to pay that price I would have gone to a high end salon in a nice area.I needed to get a fill on my nails but after hearing how much my hair costs I went down the street to a cheaper place called Lansing Nails. While I was at the nail salon just a couple doors down police started swarming the street. There were squads from Calumet City, Lansing and State Police and others. Cops ordered the owner of the nail salon to lock the doors, stay inside and stay away from the Windows. All I could do was laugh because that was what I deserved for going into that area to save a few dollars.Needless to say, be careful of the bait and switch price to get you into the salon, beware of green hair and be careful because it is in a scary area.

I once gave this salon a 5 star rating because the 1st time last year that I visit this place they did a excellent job on my hair. but the last 2 times I received awful customer service. I highly do NOT recommend these stylist, Jen and Kylee because they like to say we do not have enough time I have another client waiting even when you booked an appointment. About 2 months ago My 1st Appointment was with Jen. When she lifted my hair and color it, she colored my hair the wrong color, and then the next day when I washed my hair, my hair turned Orange. so I called to book an appointment again and the owner said come in we will do it for free of charge to fix the mistake So I asked for Kylee because the last time she did my hair was Absolutely phenomenal, but unfortunately the 2nd time that I had to go back she gave me horrible customer service and attitude because I came back in for someone that messed up my hair. She rushed on me basically to get me out of the way. Now not Even out of the inconvenience because my appointment didnt have a blow dry kylee didnt blow dry my hair and when I didnt get my hair blow dried the weather that day was rainy and cold so I was outside with wet hair in the cold and rain. Plus I had to wait 15 minutes just for Kylee to tell me OK were done where I could have left 15 minutes ago. I will not be returning back to the salon paying over 100 dollars is so not worth it.

I like the way Im treated at Chop Shop and the attention to detail the way Barb Cut my hair. As a man, I like to get a stlye and blow-dry in addition to the hair cut.

The ppl here are nice and I did get a nice trim...HOWEVER, this place is strictly for WHITE ppl and WHITE hair...In other words, if you are BLACK, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!THE LITTLE SHORT SHAMPOO GIRL DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO WASH HAIR...SHE DID NOT EVEN TOUCH MY SCALP...SHE JUST RUBBED MY HAIR FOR LIKE 45 seconds...SMDH...THAT PLACE IS A JOKE!!! and they NEED TO GET RID OF THE SHORT SO CALLED SHAMPOO GIRL WITH THE NOSE RING!!!! and THE GIRL DID NOT EVEN PUT CONDITIONER IN MY HAIR...WHO WASHES HAIR WITHOUT CONDITIONER...REALLY??? LOSERS!!!THE WHOLE POINT OF GETTING YOUR HAIR WASHED IS TO HAVE A CLEAN SCALP...IDIOT!!!!
