After the most horrible time at this location, awful staff (julie) and noise. Getting cars broken into. Rats. This place is awful and echoing the others, you will not get your deposit back!!! Worst place and rental company period.
Just going back to this rating and adding some details. I have lived in the area almost three years and stayed with Elevate about two. Rent is a little higher, but it is equivalent to that of the area considering most of the surrounding apartments were built around the 70s. These units have internal a/c that works, which has been a blessing during this heat wave. Maintenance is super fast and the office is good at follow up on work orders. The stairs do deteriorate quickly due to salt etc, but Ive found that any time I put in an order, they address it within a month due to third party contracts and sometimes sooner. I also notice they fill the potholes in the parking lot relatively frequently. I have even told them about property lights being out and they had it fixed within three days! I dont know what other peoples experiences have been with maintenance in apartments, but in my own, this fast of a response rate is unheard of.Ive never had a problem with mail delivery. It is either in the amazon hub with a no contact scan code opportunity, or the post office leaves a key in your box to get into their package lock box.The walls are thin, but I have been able to resolve any noise issues with the office immediately. If I had to think about something to complain about, it would be that the pool isnt open on Sundays since quarantine due to the office being closed, but if thats the only complaint, Id say you are doing pretty well.
Red rocks has very nice amenities. But that being said it’s hard to enjoy the park and grill area outside because of the massive pest problem there. There are seriously the biggest rats I’ve ever seen there. Every time I grill at night they come running out around that area. Along with a mouse problem when moving into the apartment. I caught 3 mice in my apartment. And just about every time I go to the dumpster to throw away trash huge rats run out after tossing in the bag from underneath the dumpster. Which really is bad because every month they charge there tenets for a pest control fee which is part of the utilities bill. And after living there for one year there is no improvement with the pest problem there at all. So it makes you wonder why am I even paying this each and every month. That is the biggest turn off with this property. If your on a ground level unit there is most likely going to be mice in your apartment. But I really did like the location there by the highway for easy access.
Great location with respect to mountains and town. Great park right next door for talking a walk or getting a couple minutes with nature!
Thank you for taking care of my chirping smoke detector so quickly! Franks efficiency in replacing the batteries allowed me to get a peaceful rest before rushing over to the chocolate fountain. (Thank you for that, as well!) It is nice knowing that all of our detectors are good for the next year or so, as well. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Lived here for 3 years. Rent is high, comparatively to other places in the area, but overall clean grounds, maintenance is pretty responsive, nice amenities of the Amazon lockers, not super large population of people in the complex which keeps it nice.New management that took over about 1.5 years ago +/- had some hiccups during transition but it got sorted over time. I will say though that their policy on not calling people if they have packages was pretty annoying. Old management used to call or place a slip of paper inside of my mailbox to inform me if I had something in the package center. This was annoying because sometimes I would get surprise packages, gifts, etc that I wasnt expecting than never finding out about it until weeks later after delivery, by accident.Could not stand my neighbors as they left trash strewn everywhere, but management took care of it when I complained enough.Although grounds were well maintained, there were some things like the stairs in my building being totally cracked and potentially a danger (I believe this is actually being taken care of right now). One thing that did sort of irritate me was moving out, I had spent personal time and energy into getting the place as clean as possible (rug doctors, etc). Despite paying a full month of rent even after I had officially moved out (though my lease was until the end of that month, so understandable), and having my initial deposit, I was still charged an extra fee.I could contest this, if I wanted to, but at the end of the day I just wanted to get out of there so I paid it.Overall not a bad place to live, quiet little area and very close to all the things I needed to be close to. But if youre looking for lots of space and good economy, probably not the best option.
*update* weve been here a bit longer now and still quite enjoy it. Shout out to Julie in front office - she has been extremely helpful as well!We only recently moved in, but so far, it has been a great experience. We had a few issues with our apartment upon move in, and maintenance came within two days to fix them all. Chanel at the front office has been awesome. The apartment has been quiet, good amount of green space for the dog, and parking so far has not been an issue.
I want to give a shout-out to Julie in the front office. We were dealing with a very difficult roommate situation and she was extremely helpful in resolving it. The staff are great! The location of the complex is quite nice, near Red Rocks Community College and walking distance to shopping.
I really loved living here. The neighbors were mostly chill, the gym is nice, the pool is heated and usually not busy at all, dog friendly, close to the light rail, I could see owls out back sometimes because its right by a huge field, a playground for my kids, and there was a recycling dumpster. They updated before I left and added a dog wash and ski repair station!! ******** Loved it here***** I only moved because I bought my first house. Sad to go
DO NOT move here. The area is very nice, but there are plenty of other options. Echoing some of the other reviews here, *you will not get your deposit back!*They will over charge upon move-out, even when they lack supporting documentation. When you enter a renter-owner agreement, they understand they have the resources and financial bandwidth to take advantage of the renter. It’s unfortunately the nature of this business. We as renters can only try to prevent future renters from being taken advantage of. Do not live here if you are apartment searching, and if you currently live here, I strongly recommend you video your entire apartment upon move in and move out. Demand a move out inspection and video them the entire time. Record conversations when meeting with them in the office. This is a complex under brand new management, and I implore you as current residents to over document every encounter with the staff and keep track of your maintenance requests and the time to completion. Please do not make the same mistake as my roommate and I did; which was signing a lease agreement with ELEVATE AT RED ROCKS. We as the paying consumers have the luxury of choice. Renting here is the wrong one.
Ive lived in the older apartments in one of the 3 bedrooms and it was a decent enough place to live. Ive had to make a few maintenance requests, but the office responded pretty quickly and fixed the issues.Pros:-Nice area, close to grocery store and park-Amenities are decent. Pool is pretty nice. The fitness room needs some TLC, but it has enough to get a workout in.-The apartment itself is decent and the patio is nice to relax on-Maintenance was pretty quick to respond to any requests I put inCons:-The water bill is pretty high since you are charged for watering some grass and a lot of sidewalk-Parking is a pain unless you have a reserved spot, especially later at night.-The ventilation is not the greatest. I can smell when my neighbors decide to smoke in their apartments. Also living in the room with only a skylight and no windows makes for a very warm summer.I do know that the staff do act on some complaints, as one of our neighbors thought we were leaving cigarette butts on the hallway and complained. It was one of the other neighbors (see ventilation comment) which is annoying, but I guess at least they cared. Any place can have crappy neighbors though, all part of the risk of living next to people.Overall it was decent enough for the price. Ive lived in better places, but Ive lived in much worse as well.
Current resident of almost two years, lease ending in August. The original management company that ran this place when we moved in was at least somewhat competent. When we first arrived to move in they were several hours behind schedule with installing our cabinets so we had to wait an extra four hours before moving in. For the inconvenience I was credited $150 towards our rent and given many apologies. The leasing manager herself later helped me fix a faulty smoke alarm, as she lived in the same building, and she was incredibly helpful when we needed some mediation due to a minor conflict with a neighbor. But the company that took over last June or so has been disappointing and greedy and callously incompetent the entire year. We were two weeks late signing our lease, two weeks after the lease period started started, because the people in the leasing office kept losing our email addresses (that I had physically written out and handed to them multiple times in person) and screwing up the formatting. Their employee turnover rate increased greatly, so much that theres been a different person running the leasing office almost every time we have to go back in to ask them to fix some new problem. We had to go in person and remind them to adjust our utilities to three people, not four, three months in a row in the fall because we kept being overcharged. As soon as they took over the cost of utilities more than doubled, and other costs started appearing. Our first year here our utilities only went above $100 once, for four people in our apartment. With this new company our utilities have never been less than $120 for only three people. For the month of June, when only two of the three of us were home the majority of the month, the other one was on vacation, our utilities were still over $150 (yes I still have these records). We suddenly had to pay our rent through a third party site that demanded a convenience fee even when using a bank account. Our heating unit went out in November, we submitted four work orders and had the same man come in to fix it every time by draining the system of excess water which did absolutely nothing, which we told him verbally (we always see the handymen just around the complex) after every attempt. He kept assuring us he would come back and follow up, which he never did. After those four attempts we gave up and started using space heaters all the way until February, when my roommates middle aged mother (my roommates and I are early-mid 20s and we kept getting brushed off and treated in a way that essentially downgraded us to whining children) went in to talk to them about their legal responsibility to keep the temperature above 60 degrees and suddenly they were eager to fix it and give us $50 off our rent for the trouble. When I asked if we would be compensated for the other three months we didnt have heat I was told they didnt have records of those work orders and therefore we couldnt prove anything. The one redeeming quality of Elevate is that the complex is located next to a very nice park.
Spent 3 years here. Quiet area, convenient to get to and folks were nice.
Fairly well maintained and the office staff were good. I had a couple of issues but they were quickly fixed. No problem with parking spaces. The pool was also okay.
I have lived here for 9 months. The apartment complex has very nice facilities, however, this place is classic bate and switch. They show you an immaculate model apartment and state theyre not able to show the apartment that youd be renting. After signing the lease and moving in, our apartment was covered in dog hair. We requested they clean it, and they stated they never got it clean (the carpet clearly needed to be replaced). Other things that needed to be replaced because they were utterly broken included: patio door was literally falling apart (it leaked rain! It literally had holes), both toilets ran constantly and the repair man wasnt able to fix them so our water bills were $50 for 3 months (which they didnt reimburse, in fact, I couldnt even get ahold of the property manager after calling in 3 times and using their online portal to submit digital complains / requests for assistance), non-functioning lights, two windows with broken locks, drawers with the faces clearly glued together, and a broken dishwasher. Really, completely unethical bait and switch. The neighbors are surprisingly easy to hear, but its not unbearable. But I could imagine it being so if our neighbors were louder.I would absolutely not recommend this place. The location is convenient (light rail, parks, community), the building is very energy efficient, it has a nice exterior, lots of parking, gym and business center but the facilities management and customer service is ATROCIOUS. Dont be suckered in by the sales staff who are nice, but not at all involved in keeping tenants happy and have no influence over maintenance staff who are incompetent, apathetic and extremely noisy (yes - they too are tenants, and enjoy the privilege of riding loud 4-wheelers at 40mph in a parking lot!
Specifics aside, their online rating is like 2.8If you wanted to put that in perspective, thats a D+. So maybe seriously consider looking elsewhere because obviously the majority of the tenants are less than satisfied.
Nice, quiet place to live. Workers will come and get your requests for maintenance done fast. All staff are very friendly! I hardly ever heard my neighbors. Enjoyed my experience here until the end. The management charged us $360 to clean the bath tubs. We ended up getting it down to $180 but the bath tubs were no where near as bad as they were stating.
The new management is super! They actually answer the phone, are responsive to service requests and are very friendly! Ive lived here a few years now, so I have has the opportunity to see management companies come and go. I hope these people stick around a while because they are a pleasure to deal with! The apartments themselves are older, but as they were recently upgraded, they are quite nice on the inside! The community is clean and relatively quiet and close to green mountain!I recommend giving this new management company and these apartments a try. I dont think youll regret it!
Maybe it’s too early to tell, but the amount of negative reviews is surprising to me. This was the only complex that actually answered the phone when we set up a time to look at the place and go over pricing. There were a few minor issues when we moved in, but it seems like as long as you communicate your concerns the staff is more than happy to help. The apartment is clean and quiet and we are very satisfied.
Potential tenants beware - you will be nickel and dimed more than you ever thought could be legal and/or possible. Our move-out charges were astronomical, in the THOUSANDS, (we are talking $40 to replace one key, for example). The apartments are very low-end. Counter tops are painted on with some form of paint that smears with soap and water. The blinds are about as sturdy as tissue paper, and you will be charged for those when you breath on them and they break. Management is slow to respond and has less than even a marginal amount of empathy for tenants. Fees continued to increase while we were there and parking started to become a real issue. I would strongly advise against moving here. Plenty of other places that are higher quality but are owned by people with some compassion.
This review is in regards to all of these negative reviews of the response time to maintenance requests by the office and the maintenance people and the work and workers themselves. Ive lived here (Ascend) for almost two years, so I am familiar with both the previous management and maintenance managers and workers and the current ones. While is takes a bit more time (24 hrs. unless there is an emergency) to request maintenance personnel with the new management, it is still very easy. I used to just call the office; now I have to fill out a maintenance request online or go to the office itself, which is really no problem at all. If I happen to need to go to the office, I might just make the request there, but most of the time I simply do an online request. All of my requests (and there have been several over time) have been acknowledged immediately and acted upon in a timely fashion. The workers who have come to my apartment have always been courteous and competent; if a worker had a problem himself (where are the ladies, I wonder?), he contacted someone else to assist.Im truly sorry that so many of you feel the way you do about the request process, the time it took to correct the problem, and the courtesy/competence of the workers, but hat simply has not been my experience.
My wife and I lived in the older (redwood) apartments in Redrocks complex, we liked it so much at the time that her parents moved into the same complex into the newer and supposedly better apartments. However their AC has never worked in three years, its constantly over 90deg in their apartment. My wife has even submitted maintenance request with the manager and it still hasnt been fixed. This summer the pool is heated and you can tell the water is barely moving through the filtration. The complex has definitely gone downhill over 5 years, If I were you I would keep looking
I am in the process of moving and finding new places came across this place. When my girlfriend called to schedule a walk through the Gentlemen(Josh) offered numerous times and was extremely nice. Did walk through and Josh was awesome told us everything we needed to know and helped us more than anyone else did. Submitted my app, then had complications with software while submitting my girlfriends app. Called the office, Josh answered, he stayed after hours by 30 mins to insure her app was submitted successfully. Truly excited to move in! Thank you Josh G for the killer customer service
These apartments are by far one of the worst places I have ever lived! This week for example the ceiling fell in due to some sort of water damage. Prior to this however we had large amounts of mold and when talked to management about it they told us to just wipe it off. During the winter we caught 25 mice during the course of one day plus caught a snake in the apartment. We were told that the terminator that comes out every week would take a look at it. Still took over a month to get rid of all the mice - which ate threw all of the carpet along side of the baseboard. If you go in to talk to management about anything they will do what they can to not put in a service order so there is no record of you actually talking to them. Maintenance doesnt know anything. Any minor service that needed to be done (Such as fixing a light switch) takes 2 complaints before it actually gets fixed. The apartment was rented to us with over a dozen things that needed to be fixed (missing wheels on dishwasher, and such) Not worth the amount of money and headaches that this place caused us. No one should really be living in the apartment building that we were due to how much mold is just in the one apartment but there sure not going to do anything about it.
I love living here. The staff, office and maintenance are professional, friendly and get the job done. I appreciate the clean area outside and how if there is a problem them come and fix it! WOW wish every company was this easy to work with!
Lived here for a full year, and had a great experience. Granted, we were in one of the newer apartments I believe. Maintenance was quick and professional. When our hot water heater quit working there was an entirely new one within a few hours of contacting them, and no hassle at all after that. They even fixed problems such as a clogged drain, and clogged garbage disposal (which was our fault) at no charge. Park next door is fantastic for dogs. I wasnt a fan of the fact that the valet trash pickup (which is run by an outside company) was mandatory to pay for, and in our unit wasnt quite reliable, but that is the only negative thing I can think of. They gave professional timely notices for an inconveniences such as water being shut off for a few hours, parking lot being paved, inspections, etc. We had to take one roommate off the lease and put someone new on, and that was relatively simple. Office people were very nice.
Ive lived at Elevate for almost two years. I was going to wait until I moved out to review, but enough is enough. The conditions of these buildings and interiors are ridiculous. Everything has water damage, consistent plumbing problems, and general shoddy construction. You can plainly see how the walls were framed crooked. Very little is sealed against water. The place wasnt even cleaned when I moved in. The cleaners hired by the management company came in AFTER I moved in.I can get over paying extra for trash pick up and parking problems. But I shouldnt have to deal with damaged fixtures, floors, window casings, and stairways falling out for $2,000 a month. My unit was advertised to me as renovated. Either the reno caused extensive damage that was never repaired or there were multiple tenants in my unit.Office staff has always been pleasant. Management company is clearly the biggest problem. Run!
Newer side is comfortable and well maintained. Rent is higher than comparable complexes, no discounts. Liked living here but cannot tolerate the proposed $100 rent increase to extend lease for six months.
I have lived here for a year with my mom, it was OK except for the office losing packages and changing the key to the pool without telling anyone or giving out new keys. How hard would it have been to put a new key in all the mailboxes?? Also a stair leading up to my 2nd floor apartment and all the other apartments above the first floor broke about a month ago and it still has not been fixed which makes the stairs very unsafe and a lawsuit waiting to happen. I would probably give it 2 stars or maybe even 3 if I hadnt had the following encounter...Anyway, my boyfriend and I were recently looking for our own apartment and picked up applications for Elevate. When we returned to hand in our applications, the leasing office worker (the only one who was working that day- a man in his 30s with a big beard) kept us waiting for about 15 minutes while he carried on a conversation with a woman about how much he dislikes Hillary Clinton. Not one single topic related to the apartments came up between them, although it was obvious my boyfriend and I were waiting for his attention. Nonetheless, they continued talking while we waited. When they finally wrapped up their political conversation- which is extremely inappropriate to have in the first place and made us uncomfortable- we came to sit in front of his desk and told him we were looking to rent a one-bedroom apartment at the end of October/early November. Without even looking at his computer or anything else, he told us there was nothing available because he did not remember anyone telling him they were moving out at that time. While that might be true, he is not the only person who works there (I know because I have met and dealt with others, equally rude but they at least did their job) and he could have at least checked to see if anyone ELSE might have handled a tenant moving out around that time. He was also very short and rude with us, although he took his sweet time talking to that woman about his political views. We went back a week later to check if anything had become available, and he was the only one in the office again, so we just left. No need to waste our time with him again, since he made it very clear he wasnt interested in DOING HIS JOB and helping people lease an apartment. We found another apartment with staff who actually help you if you want to PAY to live there.
DO NOT SIGN HERE.!!! Went in today to ask if we could do a walk through with management before our lease ends. They are charging us 2 months worth of rent (2700$) on top of the rent we paid (no violation of our lease) for not letting them know we were leaving 2 months ago. We didnt even know we were going to be leaving two months ago. 3 months ago our apartment was flooded for 12 days before a restoration crew came to take care of it, of course our stuff was destroyed by then, managament comped us 100$.... up management is cool, the ones that are on site are AWFUL.
It is clear that they do not like their renters and many of us dont like them. This is probably why the 24 hour business center was looted and the club house trashed.About maintenance requests, half of our baseboard heaters have been out for over 2 winters! That has been confirmed with the new maintenance team. My online requests for them to be replaced have gone unanswered. Its pretty bad when they have to troll review sites to back-pedal. Maybe I should come in and talk about it? Oh wait, I have... You lost 3 of my packages so now I have to wright do not leave in office on all my shipping labels. You towed 6 of our neighbors cars in our lot illegally, and Im pretty sure youre charging me extra rent since the porta-potty outside our apartment makes it a 2 bed/3 bath.
The Slime of THE SLIME! Erroneous utility Bills, with new random charges under fancy acronyms like C.A.M that we could never get an explanation of. Even after being 3rd partied to the separate utility biller. Ughh! Sent to collections apparently 1 month after leaving? For a fancy utility bill that was never recieved by mail, email or phone call. Also charged for paint, oven cleaning, fridge cleaning and for blinds that I had replaced twice because they had dry rot just touch them and they snap. Finally just left them up, because the next ones would probably be just as bad and break again. Im not objecting to the cleaning of the fridge, oven and painting of one wall. The blinds and utility bill on the other hand, I have a major issue with. This place is awfull and managed by AMC, which have hundreds of properties around the country and the reviews at many of their other properties are just as bad. This company also has a F from the BBB. Theyre untrustworthy and only care about the last dollar they can squeeze out of you. Please save yourself the countless headaches of dealing with any AMC property.
I am a new resident who just moved in, this property manager is the most incompetent, lazy, and non communicative company I have ever dealt with. The apartment above/next to me flooded my apartment 2 days before I moved in. The carpet, linoleum in my bathroom and washer and dryer area, and along the built in desk has water damage. It took them 3 weeks to attempt to fix the situation. I have to hire my own mold detection specialist due to my asthmatic condition to ensure the living space is safe. They offered to move me to another apartment at MY expense. They never call you back and feel no responsibility for the consumer. The maintenance main used my toilet twice which is disgusting and violating. The neighbor above me is too loud constantly and the apartment does nothing. Ive had to call the Lakewood Police to ask to turn it down. This place is too expensive to have such complaints within my first month of living here.
My boyfriend and I went to simply tour an apartment on Friday, May 26th, at 10:40AM. The gentleman in the office greeted us rudely, telling us he had an appointment at 11:00AM. Most of the tours we went on were under 15 minutes. Terrible customer service. He asked what we wanted and our price range, then told us there was no availability unless we wanted one without a washer/dryer in the unit. Most places would take our information to call us if something came up or at least thank us for our visit. We went and paid $300 more per month for something down the road due to the service. We were even referred by a current resident.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. This is the absolute worst property management company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I wouldnt even know where to start on all the issues Ive had. Every maintenance request was difficult to fulfill for them and took multiple requests, all of the appliances are cheap and break, our apartment has flooded THREE times due to poor plumbing, and the ladies in the main office are extremely rude and unprofessional. Just recently they switched utility companies which in turn doubled our rates and they did not notify us of this whatsoever prior to the bills. I also now have an extra $20 on my rent for reasons unknown and they never answer the office phone or voicemails so Im stuck paying it. Needless to say I cannot wait to get out of here.
Parking is horrible! Told there is enough parking for all residents. Typically I am having to park two or more buildings away each night. My car has also been towed twice, unlawfully! The management company offers little to no help with getting your car back either. Customer service in the leasing office is slim to none.Air filter wasnt changed like they said prior to moving in and vents were being blocked with made for a chilly winter and high utility bill until we; on our own figured out the problem!Very little to no hot water almost every morning! They came in to fix the issue but I think it was made worse...I would not push anyone to live here...for how much you pay you should put your money towards a better place to live.
At first this place was kind of nice and it seemed great. LAST NIGHT MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO and the leasing office said they wont do anything to solve the problem. They have terrible security that sits on the phone and doesnt do any actual securing. Now Im stuck in a lease I cant get out of. I offered solutions and they told me that THIS IS THE RISK I TAKE PARKING IN THEIR LOTS and they refused to create even the smallest solution. If you want to be overcharged for a mediocre apartment(I live in a fully renovated apartment too, which is even more expensive) and constantly be worried about whether someone is going to destroy your property while you rest in your own home, then this is the place for you. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY
My lease is coming to an end shortly, and thank goodness! We have had so many problems with this place. When we moved in the flushing mechanism for the toilet was broken and the air ducts were filthy dirty. The maintenance staff came out and snaked the toilet twice, and we had to call Fairfield residential to complain about the problem before they came out an actually fixed the toilet. We asked them to please clean the ducts because Im asthmatic. They responded by dusting the outer covers of the vents. They did this six more times before we finally just gave up and did it ourselves. They never cleared the dryer vent despite five work orders and numerous phone calls. Our upstairs neighbors furnace caught fire in the middle of the night and the only reason we knew anything was because the firemen came to check on us. We never heard a word from the complex about it and they didnt do anything preventative until MONTHS later. The same upstairs neighbors were leaving used kitty litter all over the stairs and it took the complex THREE MONTHS to evict them. It has just been one thing after another after another! Then theres the people that live there. Ive had little kids try and come into my apartment when I open the door. The residents leave dog poop on the sidewalks. Ive found chicken bones all over the stairs and side walks and crushed beer cans thrown in the bushes. On a regular basis theres a drunk guy that stands outside our window and screams for his girlfriend to come outside (shes in the apartment next to us) at 2am. We routinely come home to find cop cars parked outside the building. Its a mess. There are TONS of better places to rent from in the area. DONT RENT HERE!!!! Oh and god help you if you need to contact the office. They never answer the phone unless you call in to the information on renting line. Weve tried to contact them three or four times to find out what we need to do when we move out and there has been no response, no contact regarding renewing the lease or terminating it, and, the icing on the cake, they increased our rent without ever talking to us. This places SUCKS!
I must admit when I walked in on my first day, I had concerns. There were a few mix ups about amenities and a couple other things I worried about. Before I called the office I looked at google reviews and they were horrible. Many saying that the office was no help and that theyd ignore you for days and never fix what was broken. Needless to say when I called the office looking for help I was expecting to be met with poor attitude and be dismissed. I was VERY WRONG! I spoke with the manager, Robin (I hope I spelled her name correctly), and she came to my unit personally to assess and discuss concerns I had. She had a new A/C unit and Washer/Dryer ordered and installed within a few days and had nothing but pleasant conversation and kind words and gestures to offer. Personally I feel if you speak with management here and address any issues in a professional manner and dont act like a total jack*** youll be treated fairly and taken care of. Im looking forward to the next few months at Red Rocks!
The staff are nice, but the people managing the plase are incompetent, greedy people... My family rents properties out to people, and theyre also appalled at the new management of the facilities. I rent a place with 2 others, and every time there has been any issue with our place, it has taken multiple complaints and several visits by maintenance to fix the problem. This includes our air conditioning not functioning for the entirety of winter, as well as having our apartment almost flooded by the place above us from not having their water heater inspected in so long. They charge insane rates now for utlities even with having fewer people in the apartment, and even when we moved in, there were power sockets that never worked and improperly installed utilities. The washer didnt even work when we moved in! Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but here. The only time I had to deal with worse was when my basement room flooded with sewage from an old blocked drainage pipe.
Noisy(can hear neighbors) and no privacy on the 1st floor, hard wood floor is a thin laminate over concrete(HARD & cold), Tiny kitchen, do not expect to cook here other than frozen pizzas. Cold in the winter because they keep the hall doors open, Outdoor halls hardly get cleaned so you trek in dirt. Dishwasher stinks, Ive spoke with neighbors and they agree. No Cabinet space, Looks nice from the outside and you think your getting an upgrade, but honestly ascend(partner complex) is a lot nicer. Staff is nice, Parking is horrible. I did tour an apartment here with carpet thinking i was getting carpet, day of move in i was told it was hardwood. Normally id be fine, but it looked terrible with the white old cabinets and trim, and the floor was hard as a rock. Bedroom carpet was disgusting upon move in, but you really dont notice until you settle in. I could go on and on. Would not move in again. Lesson learned. I moved into a new place in littleton for as much as they wanted a month to renew, huge kitchen, endless cabinet space, beautiful showers, quiet. Do your homework before moving into elevate.Edit. Do not expect to cook at all, smoke detectors are super sensitive, even perfect brown kissed toast will set it off ruining the enjoyable experience of buttered toast without waking up the neighbors.
This place is AWFUL. I lived in 2 different apartments over 2 years while attending the near by community college. At first things seemed fine, after all the place doesnt look that bad, theres several pools, its not too far from the highway or grocery stores & plenty of young college women to play with. However, this is NOT a good place to live & Id discourage anyone from moving here if at all possible. I lived in the old building & newer building, both for 12 months & both had similar problems....At a glance things looked good, the neighbors looked responsible, the apartment quality was satisfactory, there seemed to be enough parking & it was fairly affordable. It Was A LIE. Parking was a constant battle, the apartment(in both buildings)wasnt finished being built or renovated & maintenance was so slow they never actually got to me before I moved out & most neighbors were young(17-22)& partied all the time. At first it wasnt too bad, the women were promiscuous & most of them were hot so overall I wasnt really upset but after living in this environment for 2 years Ive come to realize that most people can find better value for less trouble just about anywhere else & if you are thinking of mpving here & not attending school this place is definitely not worth it.
Stay away you will regret it! We moved here (Ascend not Elevate) and it has been horrible. Our sink was plumbed backwards, hot was cold, cold was hot. Neither toilet was secured. Bathroom light didnt work, dryer didnt work, blinds didnt work. This was in a newly remodeled apartment. The remodeling job was basically painting, carpet, linoleum and coating the bathtub. That is it. Oh, and the bathtub coating is coming off in big chunks. After we reported the problems it took a week and two separate visits to get them resolved. They also never told us which mailbox was ours, we had to ask, and then they gave us keys that didnt work. So had to get new ones... the problems go on and on.It is way overpriced and they tack on many extra charges above the rent such as an application fee, administrative fee, valet trash (and AUM trash on top of that), pest control, etc. They even tried to charge us for KEVO until we pointed out we didnt have one.The first day we counted seven spiders and three centipedes and are still having spider problems. They charge extra if they have to come spray your apartment on top of the pest control fee.You have been warned.
Staff is nice but lost a lot of our paperwork. Also no hot tub :(
STAY AWAY!!! The leasing office is Super unhelpful and they will throw in FAKE account charges and over charge you and do nothing to help you fix it. They NEVER fix anything you ask them too and in general are EXTREMELY unhelpful... So if you are looking to get over charged, this is where you wanna live!
Dont expect to get any of your deposit back. We gave them $900 at move in, lived there for 3 years, cleaned when we left and just got a bill fir $50 more. They charge for normal wear and tear. Little disappointing. Might as well not clean anything when you leave. Just saying
This 1.5 star review is in done in good faith for both Ascend (there’s no official managerial office) & Elevate (I’m sent over there by default) at Red Rocks Apartments. I was able to experience the old management before. I can attest that the reviews below me are indeed accurate and the NEW managerial responses are also insincere. As bizarre as it sounds, do not expect to have parking for one car for one unit rented. They are partnered up with Wyatt’s Towing (also known as Lone Star Towing) of 5130 Brighton Blvd, Denver, CO 80216. The ending of this business partnership is an area of improvement they could improve upon to deliver a better overall product/service. They did not respect my opinion that I expressed to them between problem one and two later explained. Compared to other competition Ace Towing and Franks Towing are not only closer but they are also better reviewed on Google than Wyatt.Seemingly, junk yard cars and storage shipping containers are often left in the parking lot but if you are a current resident you may be accused of your vehicle having a “flat tire” or being “inoperable” WITHOUT their own observational evidence and threatened to be towed in 96 hours/4 days.Problem one was an instance where the landscape incline of the property gave a flat tire appearance. The car was parked for around 2-3 days (close call.) Discount Tire said there was no flat. This is something that a tenant has absolutely no control over due to gravity and can be solved by simply driving around a little bit. I gave the DT invoice to the management and they offered no solution but deferring to weak arguments (e.g. no real automotive diagnostic performed) in the lease contract.Six months later problem two happened. Having spent the night before driving and parking for around 12 hours, I woke up in the morning to virtually unmovable towing sticker in a “legal” parking spot (the other lone category being the paid-roof parking.) I drove to a DT, against the irony of being inoperable, to make sure things were working properly (I drive the mountains where an operating car is crucial) and I brought my DT invoice to the towing company. The towing company says it’s in my contract to have working car and it was/is absolutely working WITH PROOF and having driven to the towing site as well! Then they just laughed at me!The new management acts like the towing company goes by its own accordance and the towing company acts like the new management acts to their own accordance. In other words, you may be stuck between unethical business practices that thrives on the lack of communication that they have between each other. The towing company does the majority of their towing at night and one can examine that the apartment office hours are 9am-5pm. The legality is extremely questionable under current policy but the average lower class person living here probably can’t afford to hire a lawyer of their own to fight this injustice. Those who travel and/or use public transportation (with the proximity of the light rail being a selling point of this property), BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL of this predatory practice. If you’re truly innocent, frustrated, and really upset like any real human would be and want talk about your highly discerning complaint, they may have a proclivity to slap you with a “Paragraph 19 limitations on conduct.” This is coercive and dismissive as they claim they can terminate the contract under claims that you were offending them and harassing on a personal level when one is already being harassed on a level equal-to-or-greater than them! This was for asking them for window cleaner for the second window sticker vandalism done to my car when it was already “wrong” to demand them to take the sticker off the car for me the first time around! One likely knows what my recommendation would sound like but if you must live here because of financial/medical constraints, you have my prayers.
Update: the managment needs to spend less time posting bs replies to google reviews and actually answer the phones and provide the appropriate service to the tennants! Terrible management!Awful apartment managment. Rude staff. Unhelpful. Maintenance requests are tough to get filled. Lies about the business centers. Lies about 2 fitness centers. They barely have 1 with run down equipment. Had a bad rat problem from the day we moved in. The apartments are also over priced for what they are. The final straw is THEY USE WYATT/LONE STAR TOWING! just check the Google reviews for that company and you see that they operate shady and will tow a car just to meet quotas. STAY AWAY FROM WYATTS SO STAY AWAY FROM HERE!Its been a few months since my post, I like to get check back now and then, the Google rating has been on a steady decline since the new management. Makes me soooo glad I got out when I did. Idk how the management sleeps at night. If it werent for overpopulation then no doubt these apartments would be sitting vacant right now
Wow. The reviews for apartment complexes are typically always littered with the same myriad of complaints - but some of these reviews are just outrageously inaccurate. Maintenance guy is super friendly and prompt - water heater broke and he had it replaced within 8 hours. Front office is difficult to get on the phone? Get off your ass and walk in there. Management wont work with you on your bill? Yeah of course not, neither will any other corporate level apartment complex they have set prices and standardized fees for a reason. My only real complaint about Elevate is the walls are a little thin, I can hear all of my neighbors but other than tear down the entire complex and rebuild it I dont know what more I should expect them to do. Rent has gotten a little high here and I feel like I can get a better value out of another place up the road but dont let the litany of bad reviews turn you away from this place. I lived here for 3 years and know a number of other residents that have lived here for 5+. Management doesnt control the tenant population, and it is outrageous to expect them to.
We lived here, in the older side for a year. 3 months after moving in, our apartment flooded from the inside wall. They had to completely gut the walls and air out and replace it. The manager wanted us to live in the apartment while they completed the work (with 2 children under 4). Thankdully, the construction manager agreed with us that that would be completely unsafe and forced the apartments to move us. We were not compensated for having to move or for any of our damaged belongings. We were not alone. Once they moved us, we learned that the building we were in was infested with mice. At one point, we needed to flourescent light bulb in the kitchen replaced and a TON of mouse droppings fell out of the ceiling when the maintenance man removed the fixture. He asked for our broom and cleaned up some of it, then promptly left and didnt finish the second maintenance item we had requested for. When we went to the management, they told us we needed pictures...which we obviously didnt have because our primary goal was to get that crap out of our apartment away from our kids. Otherwise, sound is HORRIBLE. I could hear every word of my upstairs neighbors conversations, and you could tell they were speaking at normal volumes. I would absolutely NOT reccomend anyone move in here. They are slumlords who excuse serious concerns and find cheap ways to temporarily fix the things they are obligated to acknowledge.
Staff never communicates and seems like they just dont care. Way too expensive for a sub par apartment.
Never reviewed any product or service before but felt obligated to rate this complex for others after living there nine months.
Supe rude management
Gay off
