What a great atmosphere and vibe for a haircut. After trying a few other establishments I have now founds my manly salon. June was amazing with greeting, entering me in the system, cutting my hair and then marking sure we were extremely happy leaving.This is a perfect place with perfect service to match.

Went in at 2:00 today. There was absolutely NO ONE inside the establishment, with the exception of a customer paying. The place was empty and two ladies were behind the register. The short Hispanic lady asked me if I had an appointment. I replied that I did not and she said they were booked. Booked by whom? Ghosts? There were no patrons in the establishment, and besides there were two of you that could have taken a few minutes for a cut. A really bad impression on a first time customer.

First impressions were good. A beer for me, a coke for my wife. The lady who cut my hair was sat at the bar eating and said I will cut your hair when you are ready - fine, lets go. During the cut I was told to sit strait head up about 50 times - and I thought barbers chairs moved. Big deal. The difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut is two weeks. What I struggle to accept is the manner and tone with which my wife was spoken too. Everyone deserves respect. Totally unacceptable, and put me in an embarrassing situation. In retrospect, I regret not leaving half way through.

My first time today. Excellent haircut, great value. I get a high and tight, place like Great Clips just dont do a good job. Since leaving Camp Pendleton, this is the first time Ive had a really good haircut. Tune Up is my new home. Thanks!

I had made an appointment and they made me wait for an hour and they took the client who walked in after me and I asked her that I am the first person who came and she said they are my clients. I don’t understand why they ask us to make an appointment and made us wait for hours. So ridiculous. They do good haircuts but they don’t treat their customers in a good way. I am never and ever coming back to this place. Least recommend place

Went in without an appointment, owner nailed my haircut. Was super shaggy, so it couldnt have been easy, but it was one of the better first times Ive had at a barber. Will be returning.Super chill atmosphere. Attentive staff. Full bar. Good music.

Chas is the best. She has taken care of me for a couple of years now. She is an excellent stylist and barber. I won’t go to anyone else. The entire staff is excellent, but Chas knows me and how picky I can be.

I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years now. Last two times my boys came and they’ve gotten bad haircuts from the same person. Provided pictures of how Breonna use to cut his hair, but doesn’t even come close.

Not only was the lady that cut my husbands hair and beard awesome at her job but the bartender and wait staff were fantastic as well. I highly recommend this place!!!

Highly recommend this place. Kristi is absolutely awesome. I was able to show her pictures of what I was looking for and she did it perfectly to fit my hair. And although I dont drink, the bar and atmosphere is awesome and the staff is friendly.This is my go-to from now on.

Went with my husband and son for their haircuts. Its a really cool place. You actually dont mind waiting your cut with the shuffleboard and video games.

Grew my beard/mustache out for a year. Went here to have it shaped since thats what they do. Left with a ridiculous amish look...virtually no mustache and a beard with hard lines. Immediately drove home and cut it down to stubble. Steer clear of Shani.

Felt like a small spa day for my beard and head.Little pricey but gotta pay for that beer and awesome service am I right? Looked into the membership options and they are a bit steep price wise or I would of gone for them.Overall amazing experience and will definitely be going back for future haircuts and beard trims.

Absolutely LOVE this place. The atmosphere, the stylists, all are fun and relaxing. They were exactly what I needed after a really hard day. Danielle gave me a feather razor cut and it looks great! Apparently the salon may be “manly” but they do a great job with women too!!

Super neat mens salon in southwest Katy. Modeled somewhat after Sport Clips, but with a complimentary bar and premium customer service. All the stylists are very personable and knowledgeable. Fun to hang out for 30 minutes while you wait on a trim too. Dont go if youre in a hurry, because this place is designed to be enjoyed. Prices are more than fair for what you get.

My favorite place, good people and great haircuts. Who doesn’t like a beer? I used to hate haircuts but I now look forward to my relax time.

First time having my hair cut here. Immediately upon receiving my drink I spill it all over myself (yup great first impression Mike). The bartender was awesome and gave me a bunch of towels to clean myself up and had a new drink for me before I finished cleaning myself up. From the haircut side, Briana hooked it up. One of the better cuts I’ve had in my short 30 years of life and some good conversation. Definitely will be back again and thinking hard about the VIP thing.

Horrible cut. The lady rushed through, left the bangs, and parts are uneven. I just paid and left. She was upset because I wasnt wearing a mask because I have a medical condition that prevents me from doing so.

This place is great. The manager is awesome. They always do a great job trimming my beard and cutting my hair. The only downside is that there can be a long wait. They are always busy

My husband made a appointment, took over a hour for JUST a hair cut because he had to wait for 5 people to get taken care of in front of him. Even though he was on time for his appointment. It’s unprofessional to over book. Hair cut was “decent” at least. We will likely go elsewhere next time.

Better haircut than most places, but the wait is a killer. Last few times I’ve waited for an hour. I was told “1 person in front of you” when I arrived, only to watch 3 guys get called ahead of me. It was a good cut, but I won’t be going back

Knowledgeable about manly beards and hairs

Fresh cut after Covid!Having had my hair cut here before the pandemic I enjoyed the service received. I even considered signing up for the VIP membership then and there. Still havent tried all the services, the beadd trim, facial or manicure or pedicure they offer but the feel of the place is good. Sports on TV, good music selection, old school arcade and of course the drinks.Im due a neaten up so will be back shortly to visit.

I love Tune Up. Great atmosphere to hang out, get a haircut, and a couple of drinks. They have shuffleboard and arcade games too.

I dont get this place. If youre going to take so long to do haircuts (which Im fine with) why would you not allow appointments to be made? Further, knowing that you dont allow appointments and that your wait times are going to be longer, why wouldnt you add more comfortable seating inside. Sitting on a flat barstool does nothing to enhance anyones experience. Either way I figured Id try this place out because its new and I understand everyone has a different style, but Ill stick with my membership at Boardroom.

Great place for a guy to get his hair cut. And you get two free drinks included. Its a tad bit more expensive than other places but not by much.

Just walked at 7:00 which I was told was too late to get a haircut (7:00 is too late). That’s fine - i understand; however, the owner has always cut my hair so I asked if she was there so I could schedule something. The person that asked said “man....sucks but you too late so we can’t do nothing”. I walked out and she chastised me. Poor professionalism and I won’t be back even though I’m a repeat customer.

Ashley is great! Sitting in a chair with no backrest for longer than a 30 minutes, not so great. Even with an appointment its a bit of a wait.

I have been three times. The first time was a very good experience. I took my son with me the past two times (4 years old). The past two times they both of our haircuts have been sloppy and uneven. My son has varying lengths from the fade from the front side to the back. My hair also has varying lengths from 1/2” to 1-1/2” from front to back. It is hair and will grow back, so no worries. I want to like this place and loved it the first time. I don’t mean to be ugly or dramatic, but honestly the worst haircut I have had. Like I said last time we went (my second trip) I had the same experience, I like it so much the first time I wanted to give them a second chance. After mistakes on 4 out of 5 haircuts, I unfortunately think all they have going for them is the free drinks. Sadly, I won’t be back.

Great place to get a haircut and relax a bit, like getting a haircut used to be before the haircut mills ruined what it meant to get a haircut. Have a couple of free drinks (or coffee), a well done haircut, a wash with head message and a hot towel. Calmed me down after a hard day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Great place to relax and get a quality haircut! Have quality drinks, TVs, and games to enjoy while there. Have seen Salomae and Briana with no complaints. Veteran discount is a plus.

I wanted the first appointment of the day and then the stylist showed up 15 minutes late. Also there was at least one person without a mask.

Ive been coming here for a few months. Since I have been at this location, I have met some wonderful staff. They are very welcoming and conversational. I do have my favorites. Lol. I highly recommend this location.

$30 for a haircut is a little much. Not to mention the woman who cut my hair absolutely butchered it. She didn’t cut it anything like I asked because she was too busy trying to force conversation about her grandmother. I would be better off cutting my own hair in the dark.

I grew out my hair for 3 months to achieve a certain hairstyle. I repeatedly showed pictures of a particular hair style I wanted to the barber. My haircut looked nothing like it and was way too short compared to the picture. Not satisfied with my experience considering I paid $30.00 plus tip which rounds up to $36.00. I could have gotten the same experience for a lesser price elsewhere.

Actually the haircut was good but the barber didn’t offer hair gel but in other words it was good I would highly recommended it

Customer service was very disappointing! There was a nice lady standing at the cashier that had a mohawk that was very professional but then The Stylist walked towards me, didn’t even greet me as a parent she said to my five-year-old son let’s go back I said well can I show you what I want for his haircut first and she annoyingly said sure as if I was wasting her time while I tried to pull the picture up on my phone! Somehow it got missed construed that I only had 20 minutes for the haircut but what i told her was I have an HOUR before I have to be somewhere so how long do you think the cut will take....she was the one that said the cut would only take 20 minutes apparently that stylists couldn’t do a fade so Another stylist who was the actual owner got involved and told me that cut would take way too long because she was a slow cutter bc she thought I was the one that said I had 20 minutes, I was just blankly stared at by the stylists who just didn’t seem to care or want to be there so I said soooooo can you noooot do it and finally felt so frustrated that I went head and just left and said never mind! When I looked back as I held the door open for my kids the stylist that didn’t greet me and who misconstrued information was already walking back towards her station as if she didn’t care at all that I was leaving! The owner did however try to rectify the situation when I called back to talk to the manager and she did leave me a message but unfortunately I just would never want to return from my experience! Very sad how the first 15 seconds can completely ruin an experience and a potential customer!
