Made an appointment paid deposit with Tykeya Got an email with a different address tried to send a reply email to see which address to go to. Day of appointment went to address on website no one there went to the second address and they said she didn’t work there. Went back to address on website right at time of appointment text message stating she had a previous engagement she forgot about and needed to reschedule. I agreed for Saturday got to address on website asked for her young lady working with a client said she doesn’t work here anymore. Received a text message at time of appointment giving a lame excuse for why she couldn’t come and she would refund me my money haven’t seen the refund yet. This is what makes us go to these other people to get services. If she doesn’t work there anyone please take her off your website. Don’t go to Tykeya. Stealing money by getting deposits and having no shop to perform the services. So sad especially now when we are trying to consistently patronize our own people. Again take her off your website

I came in and was very pleased with my service. TyKeya did my nails. Shes very creative and good at what shes does. I wanted something very dramatic and bright and she definitely delivered. I would definitely go back again. 💅😍 thanks TyKyea!

Love AD, she gives me the perfect set every time. I have never been disappointed. I love going in to see her and the girls in the shop. They all get along so well and it is such a fun environment. Much better than sitting in a shop where you have no idea what people are saying about you because they are speaking another language 💁‍♀️

Absolutely LOVE Alex, she is amazing at lashes and very affordable compared to other places in the Kansas City area. I’ve been to her a couple times and have always been impressed. The ladies at the Nail Box are always great and friendly! Karina has is also such a good person to work with, despite getting out of school not long ago, she always perfects my nails. I would like to make clear that Karina’s fills are only $20, unlike the woman below ( Stephanie) would like you to think.

I booked an appointment and paid my deposit as I was told to do so.. Meanwhile, I get a text from tyesha (nail tech) saying if I could change my appointment date for the day prior because she had an emergency for the day I scheduled my appointment. I said okay that is fine. So, we agreed on that day to meet for the service. I, texted her throughout the day of the appointment which was yesterday to be specific. I got no response, then I called and called, no response. I called her many of times prior to the appointment. Then, I received an email saying that my appointment was cancelled due to no deposit amount on Saturday. I took a screenshot to prove I paid the deposit. I contacted the owner of the shop via Facebook to let her know of the issue and if there was something I had done wrong or if she could reach out to her. No response. I, then get a text from tyesha brown saying that her phone was messed up and coming up with some many excuses. She offered to do my nails the following which I was like okay that’s fine. I’ve texted her back last night and still this morning with no response. I asked her if I could get my refund back and of course no response. Ladies, I hope this opens your eyes about who you send your money to and be mindful of who you do business with. I hope no one else will have to experience this unprofessional behavior. Wow, is all I can say.

I got a set known as the Tykeyas way where she picks your design. She always does a fantastic job on my nails. My favorite nail tech 💚

I made an appointment with Tykeya, and she canceled my appointment, THE DAY OF, and told me it was because I was, “in her shop too much & too picky with my nails”, that she no longer wanted to service me... I was never distrepectful to her nor rude.. So a year later I tried booking with her again, for my birthday. She canceled the day before, and said she would refund me my $20 deposit that I paid. A week went by, she said she had been busy. Another week went by, still no refund! So I went up to her shop and nicely asked her did something go wrong with the refund? She told me she would do it, that she’s been busy. Another week went by, so I decided to text her ! She told me to just file a dispute, as if she was tired of me asking for MY money, that I’ve been patient about.. (very Rude). So I filed a dispute, and somehow LOST my case... So she got to pocket $20 of mine, that she could’ve easily and simply just returned. But clearly she just wanted to keep it.

Im Very disappointed that i have to create this review, I got my nails done Saturday the 10th & it is only Friday the 16th i am missing 2 nails & 2 others are lifting . Karina tried to accommodate me with a WEEKDAY appt witch isnt wasnt convenient for the fact that i work - who would want to miss money trying to get there nails fixed that shouldnt of broken that quick- when i asked what could we do she didnt provide any other options. I lost the second nail 30 minutes ago & her responses where SO unprofessional. She blamed me for the nails lifting & coming off . Advised me that the only way she was going to fix my nails is if i book a fill appt . - she wanted me to pay an additional 40 on top of the 50 for my original appt witch was UNDER A WEEK before . - THEN she told me to book with someone else because she was DONE talking to me . I asked for my money back & got a no lmao .
