I have lived here almost 2 years and plan to renew my lease again (if rent stays down in this crazy market of course). But either way I have loved living here. My roommate and I are both in our 20s and nightshift nurses so we sleep during the day. For the most part the building is pretty sound proof. Our apartment is large and updated which we love! The staff here is amazing. One of the main reasons I do not want to move. They are attentive, kind and understanding. Any message sent or service request put in is responded to within a day. The grounds are kept nice and residents range from young people like us in our 20s to nice families. They are also very pet friendly and make a point of pet waste always needing to be picked up. Of course, no apartment is perfect, but having great staff really helps get something as close to perfect as you can get! Overall, I recommend this apartment to anyone(:
I love everything about living here! Looking forward to renewing my lease when the time comes. :) management is wonderful! Any time we have ever needed ANYTHING it has been handled within 12 hours and usually less. The amenities are great and we love the features in our apartment but seriously not much beats attentive staff. Writing this review because I put in a service request this past week, it was handled promptly and I just received a call from the office just checking in to make sure we were satisfied with the maintenance that was performed and to let them know if we need anything more. The thoroughness is greatly appreciated!! I cannot recommend this place enough!
I recently moved from Village West Luxury Apartments and relocated out of state. I can honestly say that I wish I had moved there sooner than I did. My experience was perfect! Attentive, polite, thorough, responsive and professional was what I received each and every time I had a concern that required the staffs attention. The apartments are clean and well kept by the maintenance team. If I ever needed to stay there again, I would not hesitate!!
I have lived here for 2 years now. I love my apartment a lot. The staff is helpful and the location is ideal to work. I have ran into a few issues but the maintenance man was quick to resolve it. Neighbors seem nice. my dogs loves it. It would be nice to have a dog park but I realize space is limited here.
We enjoyed our stay here. ALL the staff was always refreshingly helpful and kind! When we needed to leave there were some difficulties initially, but once they understood and things were explained to the right personnel, everything was resolved generously and thoroughly! Im very thankful for their responsiveness and would recommend this place to others.
Ive been living here since September, and I cant think of anything negative to say about this place. Maintenance is extremely fast, and Sydney at front office, is awesome.I was worried about trash being piled up, but now they offer valet trash pickup, which is awesome. The only knock I would give, is the hard water irritates my eyes when showering
This community is at a great location, close to numerous shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Buildings and grounds appear to be well maintained, and the apartment community offers several nice amenities.
A very mediocre apartment complex. It should NOT have luxury in the name, especially considering their inability to maintain a garbage drop off location. As I type this, there is a mound pouring out of the dumpster. The interior of the buildings are shabby as well, not what you would hope for considering the price point. I would look in to the apartments behind it.
I accidently threw a toaster into the pool and boy when i tell you that those kids got fried. i mean it. anyways great place for the family to stay
Village West Luxury Apartments is a great place to live! Why? They have amenities like a pool, a lounge area in the club house, and a nice theater room! Ive been here for a year and a half and so far maintenance has fulfilled all of my requests promptly. The apartment sizes are nice and come with granite countertops throughout, all appliances you need, and a washer and dryer. Overall a great place to live!
STOLEN VEHICLES and PACKAGESI have been living at Village West Luxury apartments for four months and my vehicle was broken into and stolen. Packages from several residents living here have gone missing. There is absolutely no security nor responsibility from management. I would not be renewing my contract, very disappointed.
Family dinner Thanksgiving 😁 my daughter in law cooked and social distancingand masked kids and all.
The only perk about this place is that the “esthetic” of our apartment, but it’s just not worth the nice paint scheme and granite counters. We are currently on the end of day 6 of having no A/C in our apartment. It has been minimum of 94 degrees and high humidity this week and there is no urgency for the situation. No one will provide us with any updates on when the situation will be fixed and maintenance apparently has nothing to do with the leasing office so they do not communicate with each other to help their residents keep updated.Only after we had a meltdown in the nicely air conditioned leasing office did they provide options to help us out. But hey they are here in under 5 minutes if you lock yourself out so they can charge you $50 to simply let you in. They definitely got urgency on that “service”. We cannot get out of here soon enough.
These are some of the greatest apartments that i have ever lived in. The office staff is great, and every service request i have entered has been taken care of within 24 hours. They truly care about the happiness of their residents and do everything they can to make it feel like home. I would highly recommend moving to Village West if you are looking in the KCK area!
I moved here a little over a year ago. At first it may look like a nice place to live but you will quickly find out this place is not worth the money. Things are breaking or not working and management shows they do not care about the residents. Also since I have moved in the trash situation is unacceptable. At least 1/4 of the time the 1 compactor for the complex is full.
The most deceiving luxury apartments in the area. While the units themselves are nice and so are the amenities, there is little to no up keep. The staff is nice but they dont get anything done until you raise hell. The trash compactor is always full. Theres only 1 for the entire complex. People dont pick up after their animals. Packages are always missing. Ive been miss-billed more than twice and they push you to do auto pay. Why would I want to auto pay when I dont even know if Im getting billed correctly? People cant parallel park but they park in parallel spaces anyways, cars get broken into. For real, if moving wasnt such a pain in my butt and their termination fees werent outrageous, Id be gone.
Absolutely love Village West! The office personnel and maintenance definitely meet all expectations! Everyone is patient, kind, and professional. My husband and I are beyond thrilled that we moved here! The campus is beautiful, neighbors are friendly, and the surrounding area is wonderful. I highly recommend this place!!!!
Were very thankful for the maintenance crew and their swift help. Excellent!
I have lived at Village West for the Past 10 months and I must say it has been a great experience. I have not lived in apartments for over 11 years prior to this experience and have never felt so at home in my humble abode. Village West is conveniently located where you have access to every activity you desire in a metropolitan area but still offers that homely feeling when you retreat to your residence. The staff is very accommodating and responsive. The facility rules are easy to follow and very fair. I would recommend this location to my best friends and beloved family members. It is my Utopia at this stage of my life.
Today we ate at Chilis at the Village West location. We have noticed a great improvement in this particular restaurant within the last year. The excellent food is the noticeable change. Our waitress was Sam W. Sam provided exceptional service for us. She was very attentive to what we needed and very fast and efficient. We will definitely ask for Sam W. again.
Great service! Friendly, social, shared and asked of change in bulb type. Very conscientious. Used dryer for first time, drying time improved! much better, thank you for the great quick service.
You can feel the wind and coldness coming out of the windows. Concerning the three top windows that just got fixed from May’s request, they are all fogged up and ice collects on them. They are not right.Last but not least is the items that were damaged due to the window water And workers breaking things of mine. Please let me know is going on with all of this.
Maintenance did a excellent job in a timely manner well done
I have been living here for about 6 months. The combination of location, price and features makes this one of the nicest places to stay in the area. The apartments are quite spacious with decent appliances. The office staff is amazing and always very helpful. Maintenance issues are dealt with very promptly.
After reading previous reviews I am amazed by the discrepancy in others comments. Village West was on our short list when we decided to downsize from our large house to a maintenance-free condo/apartment. Our decision was made for many reasons: 1) close to our children and their families, 2) location to employers, 3) close to shopping, 4) close to highways and 5) availability of top floor apartment with the view that we desired. There are issues wherever you chose to live, including being a home owner, but we all must choose what is most important to our individual needs and make the best of it. We look forward to being long time residents of Village West and hope that we, other residents and management work together to make it a positive living experience.
Do NOT move here unless you are on the top floor. You can hear every single step your neighbors take. It does not help if they run around and stomp with their heels, sometimes even on purpose just to irritate us. We have contacted the apartments and they have not done anything about the noise. We literally have to walk around with ear plugs in to try and enjoy our apartment. Then you have to deal with children running around screaming and unsupervised. It has never been this bad. We have been here for about two years and since management changed, the quality of these luxury apartments has gone down hill real fast. The price is outrageous for what we have been putting up with. We are moving as soon as our lease is up. Yeah, the pool, gym, theater, and pool table are nice...but it is not worth it if you cant sleep or simply live in your own space.
This place is great! I have not had any issues with this amazing community. Every minor service call has had someone over to fix it within a couple of hours. This is why I chose to rent here for another year. I would recommend this community to everyone looking to rent.
I didn’t end up moving to Kansas City, so I wasn’t able to live here:( But, the customer service I received while shopping around for an apartment was AMAZING! I will definitely live here when/if I get a transfer to KC. I strongly suggest checking this place out. I was working with Rachael C. Please contact her if you are at all interested.
Pros:- Luxury apartment, everything feels high quality- Full size clothes washer and dryer- New stainless steel appliances, Granite counters- Huge shower/bathtub- Convenient location (walking distance to grocery and Legends)- The staff are very kind and remember your name/face. Service requests are completely quickly.- There are large elevators in the apartments (big enough to fit a queen mattress), which makes moving in a lot easier.- The walls arent as thin as my previous apartment.- Utilities and electric are relatively cheap (likely thanks to newer, efficient appliances), costing between $100-200 for a two-bed with 3 people depending on the season.Cons:- Catalytic converters have been stolen from multiple cars in the apartments parking lot lately. There are no security cameras or nightly security watches, making vehicles here an easy target for criminals.- My car has been door dinged more times in one week here than in 3 years at my previous apartment. Someone even smashed my turn signal.- There is only one trash compactor on site, so you may have to take a short walk/drive to throw away your trash.- The price is a little high.
My previous review was deleted. Just goes to show that they will do anything to keep people thinking this is a great place to live.
Nice apartments, friendly staff, great location. Set up like a hotel, access to apartments is indoors in carpeted and climate controlled hallways. Storage units and garages available. Nice pool and amenities,. No grills allowed at all. Pets welcome for fee
Ive had to work with the management and front office multiple times for various issues and was always greeted professionally and warmly. Eunice and Bradlee are both awesome to work with and work with me to fully understand the situation and to make sure everything is covered. The inside of the building Im in is always clean and taken care of. The crew that takes care of my service requests get it done within a timely matter and generally the same day. Only issue that I have is that the compactor is on the other side of the complex and seems to quickly be overfilled. Other than that its been a nice place to live for the last year and a half.
I have lived here about 4 months now, and for me, its been really nice. I am in my apartment a lot due to the nature of my work, so Im thankful that my neighbors are quiet. I also dont get much pool noise, as some of my neighbors have complained of. The pool is nice but could be kept up more, which is really the only complaint I have. I love the staff, they have been super great. They do try to make this your home! The convenience factor is huge!
I had a home fire recently and needed a place to call home immediately! As soon as I walked in Amanda was there to great me with a smiling face. She tended to my every need from start to finish. She handled everything with my insurance company, setup the rental furniture delivery and helped me set up all my utilities all at her desk! During such a horrible time in my life Amanda made me feel like everything was going to be ok. If you are needing a beautiful home in the heart of New Longview the Residences is definitely a place you should check out!!
This is a great place to live.
I like my apartment. It came with all new appliances, including a washing machine and dryer. The staff here is very nice. I like it also, because it is close to where I work at. They have a movie theater, swimming pool, and fitness center. I like the clubhouse. They have a machine to make a cup of coffee, hot chocolate, or hot tea. It does not cost anything. I like the hot chocolate and milk froth together. I would recommend these apartments to anyone who wants a nice apartment. I have a co-worker who lives in another apartment building here with his family. They really like their apartment. My toilet got plugged up some how. I went over and let them know at the clubhouse. There was a guy at my apartment within 20 minutes. He tried using a plunger, which I told him I already tried. He went and got one of those toilet snake things. Came back to my apartment. That took care of the problem. Toilet flushing now. Thanks!! Oh yes, I am on the first floor. Sometimes I hear the people above me, but not for long. When watching TV, I try to keep the volume turned down, in respects of other people above me.
Super fast and great job. Thanks
I Love this home 😲🥳😘❤
Great location and very helpful staff. One large downfall is no weekend maintenance. My kitchen drain got clogged and I had to go ahead and take care of it myself because it was on a Saturday. Not a big deal if you know how to do minor Plumbing work. Also, theres only one trash can on the entire complex so if youre at the other end its best to just put the trash in the trunk of your car and drive it over because it is quite the hall.
I have only lived here for about three weeks, but thus far the staff has been very friendly and helpful, the facilities (rec room and fitness facility) have been clean and my apartment condition when I moved in was excellent (apart from few floor scratches). The prices are a wee bit high, but the location is great and to me feels worth the small hike. I have experienced zero negatives thus far.
Extremely nice apartments. New construction. Each apartment comes with a nest smart thermostat. Cant really recommend for the price unless youre hard of hearing. Sound/noise insulation is pretty dismal... The slightly older apartments up the road are actually better in that regard.
My parents live here full time and I love to visit them because its close to many attractions. Legends mall, T bones baseball, Kansas motor speedway to name a few. It is a very nice upscale apartments.
Apartments are nice inside. Just wish they would clean the community space. Halls, elevators, and stairs are in need of a serious cleaning.
Locked myself out of the apt today with my car keys inside when its 20F and no one is driving uber. Office staff member unlocked the apt and saved the day in several ways. Staff are fantastic.
Awesome response time.
I appreciate the recent efforts of staff in some concerns.
Third time in 6 months that our A/C has been down. All the windows are open and it is still 79 degrees in my apartment. Put in the request to have it fixed 3 weeks ago and they didnt have the part and had to order it. Then it started to rain frequently and we were told it was too wet to fix. My past two apartments always had parts on site and were able to fix requests within 24 hours. In my previous apartment, I had to call to have the A/C fixed twice in 6 years. So far at this apartment, Ive had the A/C go out 3 times in 6 months and Ive had to wait on parts twice. Why should we stay when we consistently have A/C problems?
Nice enough staff. Poorly built. Walls are paper thin which means you can hear everything around you including outside. And if you have to break your lease you have to pay $3,000 plus two months rent($2,000-$3,200). If you do choose to live here get the top floor so you dont hear the upstairs neighbors stomping around constantly.
Since moving in July (it is now November as I write this), we have had consistent issues with this complex. The first few months we have had issues with maintenance being lazy, the staff is impossible to get a hold of unless youre giving them money, and the move-in process was terrible. In October we received TWO death threats directed at our dog, nothing was done. A police report was filed against one of the residents who physically harmed our dog (as recommended by VW staff). After the second threat, it was suggested that we look into transferring into a ground floor unit, to get immediate access to the outdoors and to avoid bumping into these people in the hallway. We, the victims, were told wed have to pay $1400 transfer fees, on top of re-signing a NEW 12 month lease (essentially extending our lease 6 months). We believe that with or without moving units, something needs to be done and the staff barely gives this issue the time of day. Safe to say we will not be resigning our lease in July.
Great place to live. Convenient to everything. Apartments are well maintained. Amenities are awesome!
Definitely nothing luxury about it. Apartments have mold, leaks, and stained carpets throughout the hallways. They are more concerned about taking your money than customer service. The office manager is very rude and has no idea what professionalism is and how to conduct herself.
We love our apartment so far, everything has been taken care of the way you would expect it to be.
A friend of mine lives here. Its elegant, has access control for entry, and a sweet gym.
My mom lives here and it is very nice. Shes very happy.
I have lived here for almost 2 years so I have been here for the initial management company, and now the present one. The initial one was very good...they were always available to help with pretty much anything, help community activities monthly, and were there for the residents. But now the new company came in and made living here horrible. They seem to be more concerned with whether the carpets in the hallways are clean than if their residents are happy. We have a crack above our patio door that I put a service request in for a month ago that still has not been fixed, whereas if I ever had a problem that I had to call in for with the old company it was fixed the next day. This new company doesnt do anything for the residents like monthly brunches or get togethers like the old one did, which was really nice because it not only gave you a chance to meet your neighbors, but the management as well. And the office is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of, and their door is always shut so that is very unwelcoming (and you dont know if they are in fact open or not). My boyfriend accidentally locked himself out and it took him 9 phone calls to finally get ahold of someone to let him in. Our lease is up for renewal the end of October and its highly doubtful we will be re-signing it. My suggestion? Look elsewhere. Ive heard the new apartments next to these are very nice and a lot better!
Awesome apartments.. Great staff clean new and great vlie
Me and my fiancé lived at Village West for 7 months. I really liked the location when we moved to the area. The apartments were the newest, most updated of any I looked at in the price range I was looking for. They also seemed (and are) very secure apartments.Unfortunately, when you are looking at an apartment, you do not account for how noisy the apartment can be. The walls, ceiling, and floors are all paper thin. I literally could hear the neighbors above me using the restroom some mornings. The property is also pet friendly. We didnt experience this all the time, but several times a month our neighbor seemed to be gone more than usual. Their dog would bark early in the morning/ late at night. We contacted the office to aware the tenant that their dog was waking us up/ keeping us awake late. The office contacted the tenant and they simply replied that it was not their dog. No further action was taken by the complex. The overall layout/ quality of the inside of the apartment was great. We did have an issue with our garbage disposal though.... In 7 months, the maintance guys came 4 times to fix the garbage disposal. 3 of the times we got different answers as to what the root of the problem was. Nonetheless, when we left the apartment, the garbage disposal was not working properly. The overall cleanliness of the complex is questionable at best. People sometimes smoke in the stair well and there are always cigarette butts next to the outside door.We had a great relationship with the ladies that worked down at the apartment office. They were and are extremely nice and courteous. However, ever since we had broken our lease and had to call back in for updates on if our apartment had been leased out, it was extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone at the office. I am not here to accuse them of screening calls, but it somehow got extremely difficult to get a hold of them once we left the complex. I strongly suggest that they get a new phone system or just hire more people to work there to answer the phones.Today, we received our final account statement. My fiancé had cleaned our apartment very well when we left. There were several charges, which I had expected. But $15 for cleaning 2 sinks?? Questionable at best.Overall, this wasnt the worst apartment Ive lived in. Very spacious apartments in a pretty solid location. I would not suggest moving to this complex though. I would urge you to look at Prairie View, which is the apartment complex next door. I know nothing about those apartments, but they seem to have much better reviews.
Leasing management is horrible. I’ve made several complaints on my disrespectful neighbors who are up and very loud even at 3am . They ignored me and told me to setup a meeting with the neighbor instead of handling the situation. Every night after 11 my neighbors are disruptive yelling and screaming and they do not care.
Great place. The salespeople were very helpful.
Because it is a place of Luxury at my age of 55
I love this place because you get to be relax in the warm the water😎😎😎😎
Frequent power dips/blackouts will cause a lot of issues (data loss, in my case). The office says its because of BPUs iffy service. Might consider a UPS if you need clean, consistent power.Traffic is pretty bad at peak hours. Especially if you live on the west side of the complex as there is a low visibility choke point at the top of the hill in front of the clubhouse.Sometimes staff doesnt get back to you. Lost voicemails and emails seemed to be the norm when not working with the upper level staff.Stayed for 2 years for the Google Fiber internet and close proximity to work.
Very nice place very clean and polite workers
Beautiful complex. Well built by local contractor.
Poorly built structures to begin with and elevators are always full of puke, pee or litter. Since JVM took over the staff has declined, the ponds turned into swamps and noone ever compacts the trash so it stinks and piles up outside the trash area.
Nice apartments but people dont clean up after their pets and there are cigarette butts everywhere.
Excellent maintenance service
I loved this place its so pretty
Love my apartment and staff!
For the area its probably called luxury but I wouldnt quite call it luxury
What a beautiful place.
Beautiful! Great amenities!
5 * very nice
Excellent
Great place to live
To expensive for what you actually get out out it
Trash
Stay away from this dump.
Nice place
Needs updating very badly
I am so impressed with the job that was successfully completed in my apartment. The shower and water pressure has never been this good. Im not exaggerating. Thank you very much.
