Updated Sep 30 2021I stand by my original review from last year. Gallerie is one of the best apartment complex in KC. The apartment is still great, maintained very nicely, people are super friendly and the amenities are great. They have frequent resident activities, pool parties, food/food truck and other activities. We just recently renewed the lease for another two years. The only feedback that I would have for Gallerie management is to fix how horribly slow the online lease signing process is - it took me more than 20 minutes to sign 44 pages - I am forced to sign each page that takes 20-30 seconds each to sign and go to the next page.Review from 2020A great apartment complex. Was looking at it for my daughter.Love the layout of the apartments, the corridors are super wide and very well lit compared to many other apartments we toured. Carlie was super nice to us during the tour and the management was very accommodating to our wishes about the one month credit. Extremely friendly staff and goes out of their way to help you and answer your questions. We really liked the floor plan, how clean the apartment is and very well maintained. I am very pleased with the timely removal of trash. Above all, the building smells great with the deodorizer throughout the building - I know it is a small thing to write about - but something that helps with the upscale look and feel of the place. The amenities like business room, fitness center, swimming pool are really great. You also get the choice to reserve the common area for private parties and get together when needed which is an added bonus.Love how brightly lit the entire building is. The building is off the beaten path but still super close to Union Station, Liberty Memorial and other places.
My daughter and her roommates, who are all medical students at UMKC School of Medicine, are in their third year of living in a 3-bedroom apartment at the Gallerie. Overall, it has been a very positive experience for them. The living environment and amenities meet their needs. The front office staff is very helpful. Back in 2019, it was a long process to sign a lease. However, thanks to Torrie and Kalie, the new mangers at the Gallerie, the new lease process was much faster and simpler. In the past 2 plus years, the staff in the Gallerie office has always kept their promise and their word to take care us regardless of who was in charge. Thank for your professionalism.
I had to update my review for the Gallerie. I loved touring and the office staff was amazing! However, the facility itself was disappointing upon move-in. Given that I paid so much in deposits, application fees and partial rent. I was disappointed that I had to clean my entire apartment myself before I could move in my furniture. There were bugs everywhere--I told the staff at the front office, and in her defense, she did call someone to address the issue. But when I came back the next morning, it hadnt been addressed. I had to sweep up so many bugs. There was hair in the sinks and tub, stains on the floor boards. Even the trash bin was dirty and still had some trash in it. I just couldnt believe that with the amount of money I paid, I was carelessly given a dirty apartment. I said something about it twice when I went to the front office, but one of the older women staff just looked at me and said okay. Then proceeded to complete my request.
I have been living at Gallerie for 2 years and love it. It is a great community, the staff is wonderful, the complex has great amenities and it is located right next to downtown. I highly suggest living here!
Not impressed with there since of urgency. Currently anyone and their brother can access our garage or even walk In through the front door. These issues have been going on longer then a week. The door in our garage will not unlock so you have to walk out of the garage and around the building to get in. The apartments were built quick so lots of short cuts and very cleaned after construction. I have had to deep clean my apartment as a first time occupied. If you or someone you know are looking for a place to stay don’t be a sucker like me and sign a 14 month Lease.and to make it even worst they only allow us one guest per apartment in our pool. So if you got friends dont event them to the pool cause we have a full time security guard watch it. As you know tho our apartment is unlocked and can not be secured but let’s have a full time guard watching if Becky brings two of her girls friends to the pool.If you still decide to live here after all this please reach out I’d love to have you sublet my two bedroom so I don’t have to worry about getting broken into anymore.
Lived here for one year and had an overall positive experience.Pros:- Open layout with floor to ceiling windows- no carpet except the bedrooms- Big gym with great equipment- coffee bar with fancy coffee machine- Running distance to the WWI Memorial- Even though they charge for parking, I was able to park on the ground level for free- Didnt hear my neighbors above or belowCons:- the gym doesnt have a barbell- the bathrooms are unnecessarily big which makes the bedrooms small.- the water will have a sulfuric smell sometimes (didnt bother me because I just care that its clean)- sometimes people wont pick up their pets poop (not really the apartments fault, however they could implement the pet DNA system that many new apartments are doing)I still give Gallerie 5 stars because the cons didnt bother me too much and I had a positive experience.
Its been a great experience living at this apt complex. We are close to shopping venues and work. They are brand new and the apt is very modern and high ceiling with balcony availability.
I Toured with Keyahna and she was the absolute best--kind, quick and efficient! She was very informative and understood my wants and preferences very well and tailored the process closes with those preferences. The apartments themselves were absolutely gorgeous, & attention to detail was incredible. There was a hiccup when I was applying but Keyahna and the staff were very quick and accommodating.10/10 would recommend, Thanks Yall!!
We love our apartment. The location is great. We’re in one of the newer buildings in the complex. My only complaint is that our elevator is not working. Phil told me when I signed our lease in November it just needed inspection and would be working soon. It’s been almost 6 months and it still isn’t working. Luckily my husband and I are healthy and take the stairs, but this excludes several of our family members from visiting our place.Edit *our elevator is working starting May 18th, 2020. It took much longer than expected, but it has been resolved.Edit 9/24/2021 : We have lived at Gallerie for almost two years now. Really enjoying our apartment. The staff has changed over and I feel like any issues are handled very quickly by maintenance. I would definitely recommend this apartment complex. We have no plans of moving.
Not worth the price.I currently live in the Icon apartments at Gallerie, and when I first toured these apartments months ago, we were told that Icon is considered the more luxurious choice of apartment. We were taken in by the large rooms, new design, and three bedroom that were so hard to find in KC, but after living here a few months, I am certainly not going to renew my lease, and cant imagine what their how much people are overpaying for their average apartments.- apartment wasnt cleaned when we moved in.Hair and cat litter, crumbs in cabinets. Stains on the carpet outside of our door.- Multiple broken keys,- Miscommunication on the parking lot downstairs. My roomates and I who toured separately had the idea that utilities were covered and parking was included, which is not fun to find out after we moved in.- Having mold problems in the bathroom because of bad design- Constantly running out of hot water because the water heater is tiny for a 3 bath even though weve raised the temperature to the highest.- USPS does not know how to deliver packages to this apartment. So I constantly (constantly) have packages lost and sent back to sender.- back door is always getting stuck.- and I can hear my neighbors footsteps, vacuum, covid parties, every day. Please keep looking for a different apartment. The cost and amenities are not worth it.
I never have had complaints about this place. First off, the staff are great. They are willing to help you with anything. If you also submit a maintenance request they are very quick (about 10 min-20min) after I submit one online they fulfill my request. They actually want to spend time with you and get to know you. They do events every other week which is really nice. Secondly, these apartments were more affordable than some in the area and are super nice inside. I have had no problems with the apartment. Finally, Gallerie is located in a ideal location. It’s a short walk to the street car at Union Station and a short walk to martini corner. I highly recommend this place and glad I signed with Gallerie.
Friendly, responsive, and accommodating staff. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. The floor plans are spacious and well layed out. The recreational, fitness, and business amenities are top notch. Restaurants, hospital, shopping all within walking distance. Gallerie KC is a breath of fresh air for apartment living in KC!
The Gallerie apartments are new and Great! Minnette responded fast to my email. She was such a great help. Showing me around the apartment complex and answering ever question. If you looking for apartment stop by look. You won’t be disappointed.
Bryan was awesome! He answered all of our many questions and was very thorough in all of his responses. Gallerie KC checks all of our boxes and then some. We were so blown away with everything and look forward to being future tenants. Thanks Bryan and team for making this such an easy choice for us!
I had a nightmare situation with another apartment complex (wont say the name, but its pretty close by in the city) where my roommate and I had paid our deposit and the leasing agent told us that they had already sold it away to another person due to their technical IT issues, so I was forced to find another apartment 3 days within my actual move in day/flight, but LUCKILY, I was able to secure an apartment here at the Gallerie with the help of Sydney, who made the process of signing for a unit as easy as possible for us (in fact, we were able to sign within a day without any issues compared to the other place that had us in limbo for about 1.5 weeks), so I cant wait to fully experience the amenities this place has to offer and finally have a place to call home in this brand new area I moved to. Highly recommend this place if you want a quick, secure, and reliable way to sign/lease an apartment online!
I solid apartment complex. Very new and lots of new finished and amenities. The floorplans are really good and there are a few standout units that are great! The location is a little awkward because its kind of feels like its in the middle of nowhere thanks to all the empty parking lots across the street. My wife and I only have one car, so we were looking for something with good walkability. The walk was not fun. The layout of the entire complex feels like a maze. While we were touring, it felt like it would take a while to figure out how to leave the complex but at least its not long straight hallways. Once it fills up it will be a huge community of people. If youre looking for a brand new apartment complex, with great amenities, and dont mind getting in the car every time you need to leave, I recommend checking this place out!
The apartments are beautiful and spacious, in a great neighborhood, and really nice amenities. However, Ive only been here a couple of weeks and Im still having significant issues with the apartment I moved into. When I first inspected the apartment, the dishwasher wasnt installed correctly, there was no hot water, one window wouldnt close therefore couldnt lock, there were stains on the brand new counter top that cant be removed and paint splatters all over the floor (they ARE small and difficult to see, but they are all over - really when you take a broad look at the apartment they are not a big deal, but still really sloppy). There are a bunch of markings on one of the burners that look like scratches, but waiting for that to be looked at so not using the burner for now. There is a CRACK in the corner that is allowing swarms of ants inside. No matter how much I clean, as soon as I start eating, they appear through the crack and start surrounding my feet. The apartment was dirty (bathtub super dirty - still has rough spots due to some kind of building material that got dropped on it, dirt that comes out of the lining every time I shower), brown splashes of something on the face of the washer, dust and dirt on the floor and countertops).*I still dont have internet* even though Ive been here two weeks and Im paying for it** (you pay for internet to Gallerie, not an outside service). They gave me the password to another apartments wifi until they figure out why I dont have it, but it is faint and cuts in and out - which frequently interrupts important work meetings since I work from home and have 4-6 meetings a day with our employees.Management has been sometimes helpful, but sometimes dismissive of the issues in the apartment. When I sent a list of all the damages/nonworking aspects of the apartment, they replied with a condescending paragraph of how to use an AC system - **even though I never said the ac wasnt working** and then came in and turned it on twice while I wasnt home....even though Im paying the electric bill now and had it intentionally off. They fixed the hot water quickly and the issues with the dishwasher and window (although they denied that these issues existed when they came in to check while I wasnt there). They offered pest control for the ants, although now that Ive discovered the crack in the wall of the dining area, I dont think that will be sufficient.I hesitated to write this because Im still living here and hope that some day Ill receive internet and the bug issue will be fixed. I hope that once this place is livable Ill really enjoy the apartment and the area. But, I think its really important for people to know that if you move into the newly completed building 4, its super important to inspect the apartment/ see it before you move in and take a thorough inventory if you do move in.(I should mention that when I asked for a refund or discount on rent/my money back from the internet even though they arent providing it, my requests werent acknowledged - at one point they offered a gift card, which is really insufficient considering the state of the apartment on my move in date and the fact that Im not receiving incredibly important services like a bug free home and internet). It just doesnt represent the time that Ive had to take to contact these things, clean up the construction mess, deal with and kill ants constantly, and have my job interrupted because of the lack of internet access.*Edit* After two weeks, I still dont have a working dishwasher- no water goes into it. Pest control came and they were VERY nice, but told me that we shouldnt seal the crack in the floor the ants are coming from because if we seal everything I wouldnt be able to breathe oxygen and would die. This is just....not true.
Awesome neighborhood and a great looking property!
First, if your credit score is around 600 dont apply. Save your $50 dollars app fee. Second, if you decide to apply and you are turned down your admin fee ($150) will not be returned In 30 days as stated by the representative. As of today, (day 62 from the day my application was rejected) I have not received my administration fee. I spoke to someone two weeks ago and she couldnt tell if it was ever submitted. She blamed it on the old manager. I sent a email yesterday asking for a ETA and no response.
Edit: Horrible management and worse development. Construction took forever and then management cared more about public appearance than how their residents were treated. Party place. Other residents trash the hallways and parking garage had break-ins almost daily. Always took the cheap way out and for building, blame lots of stuff on old management when really, they let some employees run the whole place into the ground, and then went back on their word when signing leases. It may be beautiful, but once you sign that dotted line, watch your money and how they suddenly stop answering your calls or emails.
Apartment searching can be overwhelming but the team at Gallerie has made it painless. Bryan showed me around to 6+ different unit layouts and truthfully answered all of my questions. The amenities (gym and common areas in particular) dont compare to the other 6 apartments I toured. I cant wait to call Gallerie home!
I Love living here is better than other places that I have been ...Thank you minnette for all the help
Great video tour given.
