Worst experience ever. We had an appointment at 6:30. Didn’t get seen until way after 7:00. When the nail technician finally came he was on his phone scrolling through the whole time he was trying to do my toes. I finally had to say something to him. After that he did not give me the full treatment that a pedicure comes with and that I paid for. I would not go to this place. Absolutely horrible!!!!!

I have gone here for more than 2 years my nails never broke until about 3 months ago I had a new set put on and 3 Broke within 5 days. So then I had to go in and then starts accepted I do another new set of course I did because theyre the professionals and Im definitely looking for a new nail tech. Having to wait for 30 minutes to an hour I dont have time for that

Best place to get nails done at! Me, my daughter, and literally every girl in my whole family only go here to get nails done. Weve been a customer at this place for years. They do absolutely amazing every single time!!

My appointment was at 5:30 and I showed up at 5 and they took us right in. My sister was getting a full set and I was getting a simple manicure with polish. Of course I was done first so I proceeded to pay and she said 50 total. So your charging me 22$ for a BASIC manicure?! If I come back Ill be clarifying the prices thats for sure.

All the staff are friendly and work together. For the most part everyone is really nice here. They just recently upgraded all their chairs so they are better than they were before. Lots of gel and regular nail polish options. I would do the piedmont nail or one of the deluxe options. I like the olive oil one. Will be come back here!!!

Stopped at half a dozen nail salons (including in the Johnson city mall) all were behind in times. No hot/cold color change polish, no metalics, no cats-eye or tigers-eye magnetic polish, and the cheap gel topcoat that glows blue in UV light and peels off like rubber the next day. Then I stopped at D-J nails and they DID have hot/cold color change polish. And they promised to have the other polishes/gels on order right now. They use the good top coat too (No blue glow in UV light). They even did an excellent job gluing on my accent gems and shaping my nails. Didnt even charge me extra for the nail repair I needed in between visits. I will only go here. Hard to find quality in the middle of nowhere. Im from Wisconsin, weve already had good products for years. Im picky about how I like things. Pictured below is the hot/cold color change polish as its changing colors.

My nails have never looked so good. The cool, artistic designs are amazing. This place is my new nail home. The staff are friendly and talented and the owner is very responsive. I think it is challenging to find places here that provide good value, this is definitely one where I feel I get my moneys worth.

The price is right, the nail-techs are super talented and sweet, and theyre always playing the JAMS in the shop.My tech did my nails most recently, and I was extremely happy with the end result--shes a sweetheart too. But to be honest, Ive had a different nail-tech every time Ive come in and Ive always been satisfied. This just goes to show that the talent at this salon is up to par! !

Had to wait for almost 45 mins when I had an appointment and ppl were being done ahead of me. The lady was rude and very rough. Not happy with the way my nails look, and was over charged. Was already late for another appointment so I had to leave before could speak with a manager. I usually love this place but will not be back

The WORST experience EVER. They charged us $15 dollars for nail polish. Literally to have nail color added to fake tips!! They were rude, ignored my requests, they were rough. She yanked me around. Didnt speak to us once. This deserves a -5 star . I will be calling the BBB. I want my money back. It was creepy and weird. I left in the worst mood. It was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience and it was the opposite. IT SUCKED..

Love this place got my feet done and felt like a million dollars afterwards. Nice friendly staff made me feel so comfortable. The owner is super cool and fun to talk to kept me busy laughing majority of the time I was there.

My guy was very young. He made me feel very unwelcome and treated me as if I was a burden, and he was on his phone the entire time. I was so excited to try this place out but after the service he gave I wont be back. Not worth the price at all. Ive never been treated so bad.

More expensive than most places....really depends on who you get to do your nails-sometimes they do a decent job and sometimes they dont....I had an older man do my nails today and he did a horrible job. Nails all different shapes and sizes and then charged me $50 for a fill in....RIP off for sure! Thats usually what I pay for a full set,smh.... Im goin to talk to the manager tomorrow for a refund. And horrible customer service! He was rude and obnoxious! You can definitely find a better nail shop than this place

Had an appointment at 12:30pm. Waited 30 minutes and they started taking care of customers that arrived after me. Guy was rough on my hands and made me feel like a burden. He overcharged me and my nails did not look the way I even asked.

First time ever going there and I will Definately be going back every time. They did an excellent job on my nails and have great prices. I have no complaints what so ever. They stay super busy so theres a wait but its well worth it!

Had my nails done here today and I liked this place a lot. Everybody is nice and friendly, the place is big, clean, and well organized. Definitely recommend it!

This place is really great. Ive gotten my nails down here several times. And being new to the area I have tried a few nail places but this one is the best.

I waited over an hour to be seen. It was followed up with horrible customer service. The nail tech was very rude. He seemed like he didnt want to be there, and acted as though he didnt want to acknowledge my existence. He proceeded to be very rough with my hands, and cut my cuticles bad during the manicure. To top it off he didnt want to finish painting my nails and walked away randomly. I had to wait for someone else to become available which took close to an hour. I have never seen such poor service. If your looking for a place with cheap prices and poor quality this is your place.

This place was awful. My family and I decided to have a treat ourselves day and get pedicures and nails done. The family consists of Myself, My husband, My mother, my brother that is 9 and my sister that is 5; we all went to have pedicures and my mother and I wanted to get our nails done with acrylic. After waiting 1 hour to get put in the pedicure chairs and another 45 minutes to have water turned on in the bowls, we finally received mediocre pedicures. For my husband, being that it was his first experience, I had prepped him for what to expect, little did I know that this place was going to try and take advantage of us. The lady ate her food while at the pedicure station and did not even soak his feet with any solution, just straight water, My brother received a bowl full of cold water and a lotion rub for his pedicure. My sister, well lets just say that all they did was PAINT her toes and my mother and I literally had ice-cold freezing water the entire pedicure, despite asking for warmer water. When the lady who did my husbands pedicure said she was done, I asked her why she did not soak his feet or cuticles, her response was that His feet fine, they don;t need that, again this was my husbands first pedicure, I am 100% positive his feet could have used the extra care. The acrylic job was done so poorly for my mother and I, it cannot even be described. This place is a total disaster and disappointment. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE.

Do not tell me that you can do my nails at 1:15 and then move me from chair to chair for an hour waiting. Second time that I have tried to use your salon and they need a better process or manager

I went here to have a pedicure and get acrylic nails with the tips put on. The pedicure was decent but my nails turned out pretty bad. The guy who did them was very rough with my nails. He talked with his coworker the whole time and would stop to text constantly. He started the acrylic way far away from my cuticle and after about 4days with them on they look like they need to be filled. All his tips were mixed up and on each of my fingers he used a different size. Some are lumpy and some are very thick. Dont go here.

I come here everytime to get my nails done! They do a fabulous job on acrylics! But do call ahead before showing up! They will get you in faster and ahead of people who are walk ins! I come regularly and love it!

D & J Nails is by far my favorite place for a mani/pedi. The staff is always SUPER friendly, their service is always very timely and its also an added bonus to enjoy the best spa treatment while sipping on a glass of merlot! Seriously, if youre ever looking for a way to treat yourself, D& J Nails is the place to go. Her work was AMAZING! Hands and feet are both popping lol Thanks again!!

Found D & J Nails and Spa on google maps and decided to give it a try because of all the great previous reviews. Walked in the door and was greeted w/southern hospitality from the manager, he even remembered my name thru out my stay! 5 star mani and pedi, gels lasted over 3 weeks, great product and customer service! Thank you!

Firstly, I think this place is not suitable for this service. But after taking services from D & J Nails and Spa for my daughter and wife, I am really happy. I hope, you also enjoy their good behavior.

The guy that did my nails was horrible!!! I got tips put on with acrylic and as he was filing the tips the tip broke and he looked at me and said it broke and just filed the side down so that it was even, but that completely changed the shape of the nail, so my thumb nails are 2 different shapes. Not to mention theres a huge gap between my real nail and the artificial nail. He also still charged me full price. Ive had these on for exactly one week and one day and have already had 3 nails break. I wasnt doing anything strenuous; one I was digging through my purse, another I was getting laundry out of a basket and the other I was trying to find the beginning end to some scotch tape. Ive never had nails done this horrible. Will never be back!!!!

This place is terrible. If I could give them zero stars I would! Awful customer service, it smelt so bad I got a headache. I needed a mask sitting there so long, the atmosphere aas horrible and such slow employees. My mom and I came in and was barley acknowledged, I got a fill while my mom waited for someone to help her, no one did. There was 4 employees in the corner on computers sitting in the massage chairs. She ended up not being helped after 40 minutes and didnt get her nails done. I got a fill and nails painted and it was the worse paint job ever. He didnt put a top coat on until I was about to leave, I sat there for 20 more minutes and they still werent fully dry 2 hours after I got home. DONT GO THERE. Very uncomfortable experience.

Its a great service at a great value! They had a salon full of people,but worked quickly & efficiently! Plus they were very friendly..I rarely get my nails done (acrylic ),but plan on going back :)

Horrible experience! Just moved here from out of state looking for a new shop, walked into the twilight zone. Dirty, unorganized, community hot paraffin wax bowl that every pedicure customer sticks their feet into, gross! The employee I was paired with wearing a crocheted beanie hat, tattooed, had negative personality! Rude and never listened to a thing I asked of him, just went through the motions to complete my pedicure and get rid of me. Will not recommend or go back.

Total chop shop nail salon! Poor quality work and rude staff. My tech spoke zero english, and the few who did had to communicate my concerns to her. This led to her going off and of course nobody would tell me what she said when I asked. The place was small, crowded, and smelled horribly of chemicals...shedded hairs on the floor and many dried up old bottles of thick nail polish from which to pick. Even though people kept coming in, half the workers were either eating, sitting outside on the walkway, or lounging around playing on their phones. First and last visit...glad it was just a polish change!

The experience itself was meh, but my nails turned out great. I got a gel French manicure, it was competitively priced, and I was happy with the result. I will go back!

Dont let the exterior fool you! Its clean and they give exceptional service highly recommended.

I will never be back to D and J again. The guy that did my nails broke one of the tips on my thumb while he was filing them and instead of taking it off and starting over he just kept filing it down which caused my thumb nails to have a drastic difference in shape. Good place to go sometimes the nails come off fast according to how you treat them for instance if you do dishes a lot do not go here it will soke them off in a week .. Hope this helps

I got SNS at D&J for the first time eight days ago. My nails have already chipped/broken/peeled off. Its painful and Im upset that I paid so much money for it. I usually get my nails done in Knoxville. Ill make sure to keep getting them done elsewhere. Wouldnt recommend SNS here.

I had been to D & J nails a few times since I started college at ETSU and every time they had disappointed me in some way. It was obviously not that serious to me if I ended up going back, but after my most recent experience I have officially decided to make that my last visit.I have went to them around 4 times total, and its usually because I have no way of driving an hour back to my hometown and go back to my regular nail salon. During each appointment I had a different worker, and all of them were very rough with my nails and cuticles and made me bleed very often. Even when I vocalized my discomfort, they continued to be rough. So my appointments were mainly me keeping a watchful eye out for them to not continue to hurt me, instead of relaxing which is what i shouldve been doing. After 2 out of the 4 appointments, the shape of my nails were very un-proportioned, but once again this stuff didnt matter to me enough to make a big deal out of it (i work in customer service), and Im very non confrontational so I didnt go back and have them fix the nails.The most recent appointment i had was for a Shellac manicure in bubble bath and it was so terrible that it started peeling and chipping from the base after a week. The coating was very uneven and in some areas the nail polish was so thick you couldnt see my nail the way youre supposed to with bubble bath.Me, being non-confrontational, decided not to fix it again, but after two weeks, i started scratching myself and they looked so horrible that i decided to call and ask them if i could have them take it off for free and explained the situation. I mentioned how it had been two weeks and the lady on the phone was very nice and offered to redo it for free, so we set up an appointment for the next day.When I came in and i had the name of who i spoke with on the phone to make sure there wasnt a misunderstanding, and they were fairly busy so whenever i needed to speak with someone, i wanted it to be private so it didnt cause a scene.The male manager and the lady i spoke with ended up putting me in an almost confrontational situation and asked how long its been since ive gotten them done, who did it, and basically told me that they couldnt redo it for free because theres nothing they can do after 1 week. She had a VERY demeaning way of speaking with me, while i kept my control and posture and told them i never had the intention of paying for a free set of nails, just to get them taken off for free. Even then they said i couldnt have them removed for free either. After a few minutes of bickering i decided to just accept the payment and still get them removed.Im assuming from where i wouldnt make conversation, the male manager told me he would pay for the removal only this one time and to call him if something like this happened again, but then him and the female i spoke with on the phone started bickering after he made this decision. He stood by his word and although i ended up getting the service i was initially trying to get, i will not be going back there. Its really not worth it.

Terrible service....terrible nails...had pedicure and gel nails.....cut nails way to short....stopped in the middle of my manicure and texted for awhile..talked the entire time very loudly to his coworker. The gentleman doing my pedicure did not cut my toenails straight, they are slanted. The salon was dirty....I was very disappointed.
