The worst nail experience i have ever had. She burned through 3 of my nail beds with me telling her each time to please turn it down and not even a week after getting them 3 cracked and came off and both my thumb nails are cracked down the middle. I will never ever step foot near this nail place again.

Today was my first ever visit to this salon. I had been going to the same salon for years, but they’ve gotten new owners and have been disappointing over and over. I didn’t make an appointment, so I went to a salon that accepted walk-ins during COVID. I called ahead and they were able to give me an appointment 10 minutes before I showed up, so they were ready for me once I arrived, which was already such a nice surprise! They were clean, both ladies working were extremely polite, and I love the work they did. I chipped my nail the same day (I am SO bad at keeping my nails looking nice). I came back and explained that it was completely my fault and that I would pay to have them fixed. They immediately called me back to fix them and didn’t charge anything. I’ve always gotten attitude from salons when I asked them to fix things, but they were so kind about it. This salon has definitely gained a regular, today!

This is the second poor experience my friend and I have had at this salon in the last year. We made an appointment two days ahead of time, as a walk-in appointment for two people on a Saturday is unrealistic to accommodate. Despite the fact that the front desk employee called us 4 minutes before our scheduled appointment time to tell us they were running 15-20 minutes behind, they started my pedicure 40 minutes after the appointment and my friends an hour and 13 minutes after our appointment time. There were only two other customers in addition to ourselves in the salon for the majority of our stay (until the last 20 minutes) at this establishment. The front desk employee tried to salvage our visit by starting my friends pedicure, but this was clearly out of her scope in terms of her position at the salon. We were offered an additional complementary glass of wine, but this was a failed attempt at resolving the issue, as the nail tech who did my friends pedicure made her toes bleed. My second coat of polish was an entire 20 minutes following the first, my top coat wasnt applied at all. My friends pedicure, I could have done better, as evidenced by the photo included in this post. We love this place, but this is ridiculous and we wont be back.

If youre looking for a place that treats you right and takes their time to give the best service possible go to LV Nail Bar! They are clean and the pedicures are amazing!Make sure you have time to relax in case your service takes a little bit longer, but it is worth it!

This is the worst mail salon ever!! It’s not clean at all and they have their children there running all over the place, playing in the nail polish. Also, they are extremely rude and they sit right in front of you and talk about you in their language!! They should be shut down!!! Very unprofessional!

I went in for a fill in. The place I normally go was busy, and I needed them filled tonight before I go out of town, so I went to this place. I had been here a few times a couple years ago and remembered it being average. The salon looked musty and in need of some TLC but it wasnt so bad that I was immediately turned off. Anyway, the lady who did my nails asked what I wanted, and I said I needed a fill in and that I wanted them trimmed a little. She proceeded to whip out her nail clippers and went ahead and trimmed them before anything else. Didnt necessarily have an issue with that but found it odd. She then filed my nails much shorter than she trimmed them and gave me a weird shape that I did not ask for. I wanted to keep the same shape that I had, which was coffin, but now they are much more narrow and tear-drop looking. They dont look terrible but I didnt ask for that. When I said something she said Later, ok?? very harshly. Then she drilled my nails and kept cutting the cuticles. I expressed discomfort each time and she said sorry! Try to sit still! I have been getting acrylics and fill ins consistently for six years and I have never, not once been cut like this, so I know it wasnt me. The paint job is also spotty and textured and some of the nails are crooked. Anyway, I shouldve read the reviews first, so thats my fault. Ill be over here, soaking my fingers in alcohol so I dont get an infection. 0/10 would not recommend

I went and had gel color change bc one of my acrylic nails came off & I came in and the First Lady started on me and put acrylic on my nail that came off and ripped the acrylic off right after putting it on. She ripped it off and continued to act like she knew what she was doing never going back here again

I’m not sure why this place has so many bad reviews. My nails are severely damaged and I went in looking to get acrylics done.Hands down the most natural set I’ve ever had.Will be back!

I came in for a fill in. He convinced me I needed a new set as he proceeded to take my nails off before agreeing. When taking them off he mistakenly tried to uproot my real nail twice as he thought it was the fake nail. I have a cut on my pinky from him speeding through. I also asked for coffin shape and HALF of them are still square. Some are thin shavings and some are thick. The paint job was sloppy. This was a regular Wednesday afternoon with no one waiting. I was here for an hour and a half and over charged for sloppy work. Will not have my business again.

Great experience! Just moved here from out of state trying to find a comfortable fit for a new nail salon. Walked out of two other salons and found this place by accident. Courteous staff, greeted at the door with a smile, quickly was in a chair and ended up with beautiful nails. Thank you!

I walked-in and was able to be seen immediately. The lady that did my nails was super helpful as I did not know what I wanted really. She also took the time to do my nails right and special for prom. Overall, I was really pleased!

Went in for fill in on acrylic nails price on the listing on the desk says $20.00I was charged $44.00 and the nails were scuffed and broken with in four days. This place use to be the best around. I would drive from Bristol VA to get my nails done. Now they are horrible. I not only received bad service but was nicked miltiple times and the Polish was on the skin around my finger as if a child had painted my nails. This place has really went down hill. This is my last visit, two visits in a roll go bad its time to find a new nail salon.Did I mention how rude they have become? Wow, I pay for a service get a bad service and rudeness on top of that. One can not stay open with $hit service and $hit attitude on top of it.

I called and made an appointment on Tuesday for Thursday at 1pm. When I arrived Thursday i was told that the nail tech had cancelled all of her appointments.. No one called me. No texts. Nothing except wasted time and that I could call my nail girl I WAS A NEW CLIENT ?! I was then told no one else could do my full set that day but i could come back the next day... Yeah no thanks. Luckily i went elsewhere and got them done. Stay away from this place. They are rude, unwelcoming, and very unprofessional.

Ive been going here regularly of late because Ive found a nail technician who knows her stuff. Being an older woman, Im often treated differently than younger women. At LV Im treated the same as everyone else. DiDi is a lovely young lady and gives me the time it takes to get a decent pedicure. Shes careful with me and asks me if shes worried about what shes doing. I enjoy my time there and will be going back.

I had a wonderful experience here with my mom. The prices are comparable to other nail salons in the area. LV has a large selection of shellac colors and amazing scented pedicures. We didnt feel rushed during our experience even though during the entire time the salon was packed! We did have to wait a few minutes for our appointment, but its understandable. Sometimes previous clients can back up appointments. It happens. I just sat at one of the MANY chairs at the bar area and talked to my mom and the receptionist. Thanks everyone at LV for the beautiful toes and fingers!

Place is awful, employees are rude and have attitude. On their phones the whole time and when something is wrong they don’t want to fix it just try to ignore and paint over it.

I have been here several times and loved the service. This time I went for a pedi/shellac and the service I got from Diem Li was amazing!! She was so precise and took her time. She was a pleasure to talk to and I would recommend her to anyone. Definitely found my new favorite stylist at LV.

I was not happy at all with this nail place. My mother and my daughter were getting the gel manicures (aka shellack manicure) they both had issues. #1 my mother got a woman who was unwilling to correct the color when my mother explained to her several times that she thought the purple was too light and she wanted it darker. #2 my mother was told by the hostess that she needed to pick an underlying color and then add the glitter color she wanted to achieve the correct level of darkness. My mother asked 3 different people to help her figure that out and got no where. #3 the woman who was doing my mothers nails was extremely rough, she did not do a satisfactory hand massage when done and overall failed to deliver when we were new customers to begin with.#4 the lobby has insufficient seating and does not look very well maintained. It should be more inviting and comfortable. I felt rushed and unappreciated through the entire experience and when your paying as much money as we had to pay, you expect to be pampered and treated much better than this! The hostess was totally overwhelmed and made us feel like they were too busy to take us at 1 in the afternoon! We wont be going back!

I’ve been coming for a while to Lv and I love Lee. She does a really good job. However, it has decreasingly went down hill. You make an appointment and you wait for 30 minutes. If you’re slammed just say you have nothing available. It is also like this at their new salon by Food City as well. You make an appointment with a specific person then when you get there, you don’t even get the nail tech you requested... they are “out of town”. Why book appointments and not call anyone if it was unexpected. Very poor customer service. My last nail appointment at Lv was just for a regular manicure, I waited 40 minutes and ended up leaving because I had a hair appointment that I was going be late for since I had to wait. The cherry on top was that the last 3 times they couldn’t find my name on the book for the VIP rewards after paying cash for last 3 pedicures I got. Therefore, I never got my rewards. Finding a new salon unfortunately.

This place has gone down hill majorly!! The staff are rude and the place was dirty! The girl that did my manicure and pedicure was on her phone FaceTimeing someone the ENTIRE time! My shellac has already peeled off after 6 days! This used to be the place to go but I definitely do not recommend it to anyone!

Referred here and decided to try them out...Not one single person in a chair & told me they were booked...mind you there is a walk in welcome sign on the door...I understand you like Friday nights too but one hour and half prior to closing, I think there was plenty time for a fill in....OP nails never turns down a customer, I will stay there! :)

My favorite nail place in Tennessee so far. Im from NJ which is the unofficial nail capital of the United States. If I were comparing this place to the NJ nail salons It would definitely loose a couple stars. As far as I know no place in the TN tri-cities area does gel overlay instead of acrylic. Gel overlay is sooooo much better. I have to wait til I visit NJ or do it at home to get it. I really hope they catch on. Love the glass of wine with a chair massage while I get a pedicure.

This establishment is so clean, friendly, and employees are true professionals ! Best place to go for a pedi...massage chairs are wonderful and the complimentary glass of wine just makes it perfect for a few hours of relaxation!!!

Ive been here several times. Every time I come I usually leave very satisfied. The last time I came by I had a different girl then the 2 or 3 that normal do mine pedicures. She was nice but her job on my pedicure wasnt as good as normal, then the next day when I was home part of the gel paint just fail off my pinky toe! I called and receptions got me right in for a fix appointment. I only mentioned 1 of my toes was messed up but Dede looked over all my toes and compete redid 3 of them to make sure they where perfect. Thank you Dede! Some people have off says, but the overall service of LA Nail Bar is amazing!!

Will not recommend this place to any of my friends or even someone looking for a nail salon. We went for a pedicure and called ahead to let them know, three of us would be arriving. We got the sugar scrub pedicure and while they were scrubbing my mother in laws foot she screamed and said stop! The woman was using a hard tool on her foot and not paying attention and rubbed her foot raw. By the end of the pedicure my mother in laws foot was bleeding. We went to pay and my mother in law was hesitant to say something because she felt bad, but when the lady at the desk asked how it went, we encouraged her to say something. They sent for a manager and the manager came up and never even looked at her foot and says oh that happens sometimes, just put Neosporin and band-aid on it and if you still have problems in few days, then come back and we will see what we can do. She said no discount or nothing. Then walks off. Another lady came up and asked to see it and felt so bad and got a first aid kit, doctored it up and then hands my mother-in-law a gift card to come back for $10 off. ☹️ Sorry but that isnt costumer service,, you made someone bleed and then tell them to put Neosporin and a band aid and you think thats enough. We have a special event this weekend and my mother-in-law will be in pain all weekend trying to walk in heels because of where the sore is located. We will never be back.

According to the reviews, this nail salon is either hit or miss; today, I lucked out and had a great experience. I walked in (on a Tuesday at approximately 3:30 pm) for a simple mani/pedi and was taken back immediately. I sat in the massage chair and waited for around 3-4 mins (no big deal). Jenny was my tech and she did a fantastic job. She was sweet, quiet, efficient, gentle, and very attentive to detail.And while there wasnt anything especially special about this visit, thats what was so nice about it. I was able to relax, enjoy my 1 hour of me time, and trust that my tech would take care of the rest. And she did :)

Went to this salon last summer with a girlfriend of mine and I got the classic pedicure. It started off very nice but the woman who was doing the pedicure poked my cuticles and cut my nails too short. The one thing I am most upset about is the fact that when finished, I paid for my pedi and left a decent tip. When checking my bank statement the next week, I noticed that there was an extra $10 taken from my account. I will NEVER return to this salon and I will do whatever it takes to warn others of what these people did. I am a student so $10 could have been groceries or for the multiple bills I must pay. How despicable does one have to be to do this kind of thing? Absolutely disgusting!

Not very professional environment. Staff was laughing and giggling the whole time and not focused on the nail work. Therefore it wasnt relaxing but noisy. Not impressed.

Ive went here for the past year and didnt realize that over half of the nail technicians were doing it wrong! Whenever they would take my nail polish off of my acrylic nails I would notice a dark black spot on the nail. I didnt think much of it since the they didnt mention anything being wrong with it. When I went to a different salon to get the nails removed, my nails had mold growing on them! This was caused by the acrylic nail not being applied properly to the nail and water getting in between the acrylic and the real nail causing it to mold! I will never be going back here!

Love going there but last few times not been given good pedis.

My nails look good but I kept saying OUCH! Bc the guy kept drill filing the sides of my fingers more than a couple of times. He was filing so hard it seemed like he was mad at me. Also I asked for gel nails and later I read online that if they use any powder and liquid combo they arent GEL nails bc legit gel nails are actually applied with gel thats already made up. So I paid like 12 dollars extra for acrylic with a shellac polish top coat. Lovely. My nails are so sore and I didnt even really get what I asked for. Not going back here again.

I went there today to check lv nails out cause I heard good things about it. But i had a very bad first time experience and i will not be returning. The lady that did my nails was very rough. She held my fingers so tight and kept holding my hands in awkward positions that it was very uncomfortable. While using the drill she got the skin around my nails more then a few times that when she went to put the stuff on before applying the acrylic it burned all my fingers. Then while using the file she filed so roughly that she tore my skin causing me to bleed....and lastly she pulled at the loose skin by my nails I had to tell her twice to not worry about that cause that is a painful feeling pulling at skin that is still attached to you pretty well.I will say on a positive note my actual nails look good but the lady was to rough and i will never return there

This is the worse nail salon. The guy that did my nails was aweful. I asked for acrylics but he kept pushing me to get shellac bc he was better with them. I gave in and dont know why. I showed a picture of what I wanted pastel pink with gold tips. He said that it wouldnt look good even though I had a picture and wanted it.While he drill filed my nails he kept telling me to go through the nail charts he had and he suggested two other colors, in between taking to other staff and telling another customer he knew by name hes almost done. He was not close bc I just sat down! He rushed and made my fingers bleed and didnt do as I asked. He was so rushed I felt like I was a bother to him. This wasnt a relaxing time for me. I paid very big money for an uninviting environment and rude service. I will Never go back.

Ive been coming here for almost a year now and I will NEVER go back.My boss recommended Sophy, who is excellent with shellac. She always does a great job and is great conversation. Well, this past weekend I was getting ready for a trip and needed my nails done last minute, so I text Sophy to see if she had time for me. I didnt hear back from her by the time Id gotten to the salon and I asked the owner is she would be there today. She told me that Sophy wouldnt be there, but another technician was very good with gel and she could take care of me. Lies.First off, the woman who did my nails (someone Id never seen working there before) was rude. She broke out the drill and I respectfully told her that I never use drills on my nails. She filed my nails, but spent the entire time over-explaining that drills are the same as files, just quicker and that files can actually damage my nails. I reminded her that I have a right to refuse drill service and my nails would be fine being filed if she was careful with it. I really should have just gotten up and left at this point, but for some reason I stayed. Then, she rushed through my manicure, barely treating my cuticles and breaking my skin in the process. It stung terribly when she used the alcohol. My polish was very light and she barely used two coats to where you can still see the whites of my nails underneath. She spent less than half an hour on my nails, and thats including polish removal!More complaints: The owner kept trying to push a pedicure on me and I really didnt want one. I wasnt offered a drink, I had to ask for one, and it came out in a tiny frosted glass with a thick strand of hair frozen to it. I was DISGUSTED. And then when the technician finished my polish she asked me if I wanted my brows done. I said no and she proceeded to tell me how bad my eyebrows looked and insisted that I needed a wax. Not the way to up-sell. I was furious and beyond ready to leave at this point.As I was getting ready to cash out, I realized that Id left my card in my car parked right outside of Sears. The owner loudly asked if I had another form of payment and I didnt. She kept asking, you dont have another card or cash? I had already told her no and at this point people in the salon were staring. She told me I could leave my purse while I went to my car. I did NOT feel comfortable with that, but felt I had no choice. I could understand if I had never been there before and they didnt know me, but I see them everyday. I havent had my nails done anywhere else since I started going there. I tip well. They shop at my store. It was an embarrassing situation for me to be in and they just made it worse. When I came back and paid the owner was all peaches and cream, she said my nails were guaranteed for a free polish if they chipped within a week and wanted me to take a dollar off coupon, but I declined because wasnt coming back unless Sophy was working.Heres the kicker: I got a text back from Sophy later and she said that she no longer worked there and told me about her new location. The owner had made it seem like she was just off that day. I was livid.

I was getting shellac removed and when I sat with the acetone soaking, I saw him take my used utensils to the girl next to me, use them on her, then come back and use them on me. I asked him and the woman if they cleaned their utensils between people.....then they couldnt speak english anymore. No one would answer my questions. I finally said yes or no....do you clean your utensils between clients he said no and laughed at me. No place should be using the same equipment on each person and spread blood and bacteria.
