Terrible place! Don’t waste your money. My mother went if for a pedicure and they damaged her cuticles trying to get a hang nail. Any good nail tech can do this without hurting the customer. Convinced her to get gel polish and then proceeded to paint all the skin around her toenails and said it was because her toenails were too small! I tried to clean them up myself and not make a big deal but the acetone burned her too much from them digging into her cuticles. We went up there to get her money back because no pedicure should make your sore. The owner said she would only reimburse the $15 for the gel because she agrees the paint job was terrible but not the whole pedicure when the WHOLE PEDICURE was terrible. She lost a good and loyal customer over $27. She went even further to tell me god was watching me ask for my money back. I have never in my life heard some use god to justify bad service. Bad business to support.

The service was wonderful. I had a young man shape my nails perfectly and anything I spotted that was inconsistent he fixed without me having to say a word. The owner painted my nails and did a great job, Im extremely satisfied with my visit.

Change of name of the place..I think its Upscale Nail now. Went in today for a manicure, I should have asked the price. Very quick, 15 second hand massage nothing special. When I asked how much to pay, she said $15! I said WHAT? I thought was only worth $10. The place I normally go to spends 1/2 hour on you and they use paraffin wax included for around $12 I told her it was way over priced and that I would not be back. She said she would tell the owner. Not deserving of even one star! There are much better places around here than this. I wish I would have gone elsewhere.

I was a little upset because my fiancé and I went an got pedicures done and the lady doing his was much more detailed and did more stuff to him than me. I was looking forward to a relaxing pedicure but it kind of felt rushed.Overall, I am happy about it and the lady was very nice, but I wouldve liked the same treatment he got. I really enjoyed my experience overall, my nail technician was very nice and I got in and out. I got a gel manicure, and not even a week later, the polish started to lift and come off (not just a piece chipped, the whole layer of polish came off leaving my nail naked) I ALWAYS, get gel on my hands and this has never happened before. I went back and had them fix the polish and they did but you could tell that she didnt want to fix it for me. As soon as I got home, it happened to two more of my nails. Again, this never happens when I get gel. Normally my nails just grow out and its time for a new manicure, but at this place, it hasnt even been a week yet and the layers of my manicure were just peeling off like it was nothing.

Awesome experience as always at the nail place!! Shouts out to my Nina!!! She rocks!!! She always does a great job!!! Very skilled at designs and she is very sweet woman. Ive been going to V.N nails for a few years and this is the place to be. Locke is also great with nails also. I only go to either Nina or Locke. These two are the best!! The woman was shaky and sniffling. My finngertips look like tbere are marshmallows on tbe tips. Way too much acrylic and i kept asking to make more flat. She only do her way and results were shot. Way overcharged. Never again

The very best nail shop in Jacksonville, Florida, I know that they take out some of the instruments when they open, but the are all sterile. All instruments are put in the sterliielyzer. Everyone has a right to an opinion, but when I read comments that are no true I believe it is unfair to the owner.Their pedicure chairs are cleaned with a hospital grade cleaner. I have been a customer there for 9 years. I have never seen the shop dirty. You also may have your own instrument box. Just tell the owner you want one. My nails have always come out beautiful. Many of my friends go there and have expressed how happy they are with their nails.

This place is awesome. The owners are professional and friendly. I had SNS done and they look great. I will definitely be there customer for many many years.

Ive been going to VN Nails on and off for 15 years depending on whether I lived In Jax or not. Ive watched the owners kids grow up over time and now the daughter is a nail tech too. Love the friendliness of all the employees and also appreciate that they know their customers so well. They also know when I havent been in for a while. :) They almost always do a perfect job and if there a tiny detail Im not crazy about, they fix it no questions asked. Totally worth the price and the drive.

Very disappointed, called in my appointment a hour in advance to get a full set done with my daughter. And they took my daughter and left me waiting for over a hour. While they took in numerous other customers. Needless to say I wont be back. And sad because Ive always thought highly of this salon. But I was completely ignored this time. So next time Ill stick with the salon in San Marco. This salon has poor customer service skills.

Nice people and good service but such a mediocre job on my pedi. I sat there the entire time wishing I went to my usual spot and regretted going somewhere new. Like clearly my feet need a good scrub and he just brushed it twice gently. Thats all I get pedis for- to smooth my feet and he was going to let me walk out with crusty feet. I had to tell him TWICE to please scrub my feet! Thats what I paid for. My gosh. Not going back. Not to mention the place is kinda dirty. Could use a nicer aesthetic.

I had the worst experience at VN nails! Not only do they not use clean and sterilized utensils when they perform manicures and pedicures, but they sit and talk on the phone with friends on speakerphone while they are doing your nails. This wasnt the worst part though, I got gel polish and she put the LED light on my lap and did my nails in the pedicure chair with my arm having to reach across the entire time. The absolute worst part about my experience was how my nails look. The color is blotchy and uneven at the cuticles. The manicure was the worst I ever had as well. Not only were my nails not filed straight, but she didnt even let me wash them before they were polished. I did get a great pedicure from the guy that works there though, thats the ONLY thing they have going for them.

This was my first time here since my usual nail tech at another location moved. I learned that they are under new management, so I decided to give it a try.Pros:- no wait time (but I did make an appt)- My nail tech was very gentle and friendly. She did not rush and tried her best. I always get the gel polish; a few of my nails had a bit too much, but it wasnt a big deal at all.- This salon uses bags in its pedi spas to maintain cleanliness. It was something to get used to, but I appreciated the effort.- Mimi provided very good customer service. Shes the only one Id trust to care for my nails.Cons:- There was a stark contrast between the old and newer employees. One in particular was having a conversation with a customer that went too far for my tastes. I develop a relationship with my nail techs, hair stylists, etc. It was disheartening to hear this employee tell everyone else about another customers business as soon as she walked out of the salon.Edit: polished peeled relatively quickly to be gel. The polish on some toes came off without me noticing.

Rude! Awful Quality of nails last 1 day then nails start popping off. Owner Diane WILL NOT Accommodate you and will expect for to pay for full service if one of her staff members do poor application of full set or fill in. Very unprofessional environment!

I would highly recommend VN nails to anyone! I started going here about a year ago and feel in love with this place from the very first moment. All the staff have always been so friendly and accommodating. My favorite nail technician is Nina!! I recommend her to everyone. She does the best designs that I have ever seen. I have always got a design but stop doing it because I hate the normal flower design but after going here Nina always seems to surprise me every time! No matter how many times I go in she always has something new that LOOKS AMAZING!! I love how she takes her time and does every nail to perfection INSTEAD of rushing me out as soon as possible. I have been getting my nails done since forever and have never had a nail technician like her. By far one of the best!! I now have my entire family that comes all the way from the opposite side of town to VN nails. Anyone looking for a new nail salon go to VN NAILS you will NOT regret it!!

So disappointed. My nails are crooked. I asked for them to be fixed, and Im made out to be a jerk for asking. Got my toes polished and its so frustrating that you have to double check and then say can you please fix this, this and thisIf you dont say anything theyll let you pay for half done work.Bummer

AWFUL! 3 + hours, 4 different people touched my hands and basically did nothing just kept me there. OVERcharged me.. quoted one price then at end charged different price. Other customers there for hours too and complaining. One customer had twin babies and 2 other kids there walking all around... one baby had diaper changed right there a few feet from me. Babies crying. It was very unpleasant. I will not go back nor recommend to friends. over 3 hours of my busy life that I can never get back and I paid them!One Nail tech had blue tooth and was chattering away loudly in her native language as she briskly filed customer next to me before she switched to me while another tech took over the clien next to me. It was like Musical Chairs and had to listen to others conversations instead of engaging with the customers. Very poor customer service. all way around.

Unfortunately you get what you pay for. I came and was seated fairly quickly but not quick enough they definielyndidnt have enough employees. The man (who may also be the owner or something??) asked what I wanted and I showed him, then he wraps my nails in foil to soak off the leaves. For TWENTY MINUTES. I was sitting there so long the nail techs were looking around and looking at me with pity. Then a few assured me he’d be back soon. He completely disappeared. No one offered me anything to drink while I waited. Then afte 15 minutes I turn around to see him doing someone else’s manicure when he’s supposed to be doing mine. After twenty minutes I’ve had enough and remove the foil. My nails are a mess, my fingers are prunes, completely stripped of any moisture having had the acetone on way too long.I planned on paying for the little time he gave me and asked how much I owed for the soak off. The guy is like “you don’t want to get them done?” I say no I’m going somewhere else. Not in a rude way either. I chose to not make a fool out of anyone in front of the customers. The boy at the counter (his son) asks him how much I owe and he says something then they both start laughing at me as if I’m some sort of joke. Normally I wouldve asked what the hell was so funny, but I’ve taken a new path. Well screw them and thanks for the free soak off. I’m a heavy tipper at nail salons so they definitely missed out.Save your time. I went right across the street to what I think is called Nail Time. The atmosphere is much nicer, REALLY nice, cozy, and the service fast. My full set and gel polish were done within 20 minutes without sacrificing quality, and I was on my way.

New management is trash been going here for over a year. Made an appointment and waited 45 minutes for them to tell me it was going to be another 30 and they werent even busy. I ended up walking out. Wont ever go here again!

Worst customer service! When I went in for my manicure and pedicure I had a total of 4 people work on me because they kept taking walk ins and instead of having them wait, they would take them back stop working on customers who were there. I had to get my manicure in the pedicure chair and reach over so she didnt have to move from side to side and my nails werent even filed straight! I was going to get my eyebrows waxed but the lady wanted to do it while I was getting my manicure!!! At the end I noticed my nail was smudged and they lady rolled her eyes at me! I felt like they were rushing to get people out instead of trying to give them a good experience. I thought you were suppose to feel relaxed after a mani/pedi, not more stressed out!

By far, the worst service I have ever experienced.Sat mecin a pedicure chair immediately and then ignored me for over 30 minutes. When I finally asked how much longer it would be, I was looked at, completely ignored and had to ask again before getting a response that iyd be ANOTHER 10 minutes. No apologies, nothing. Absolutely awful experience.
