Had high hopes because a friend recommended the place but it was just okay. I never get my nails done anymore and decided to treat myself. The people there did not seem like they wanted to be there and the guy that did my gel manicure rushed it. My nails are uneven and the paint job probably wont last as long as it should had it been done well. Probably could have asked him a second time to fix it but didnt have the time for it.

Walked in for a pedicure. The pedicure was amazing and I was really impressed, but I experienced long wait times and felt like I was forgotten. I sat in the chair waiting for almost an hour, then afterwards when I went to pay and check out, I stood there waiting for someone to take my money. I saw a couple employees who saw me standing there. It took another kind customer to point out to their nail tech that someone was ready to check out for them to get their attention. I was there for 2 hours for just the simplest pedicure.

Really great experience! I got the hot stone massage, hot paraffin wax and hot towels, for no extra charge. And she massaged my shoulders while my polish was drying. All for $28! And a nice tip, because she was super!

Came here because of the good reviews. Asked for a polish change service which should still include a proper nail cut/ file. The nail tech didn’t ask me which I’d like, he literally just briefly filed some without any uniform shape. When he started to polish he did a dabbing motion the entire time instead of a smooth coat like normal salons would. I guess since I wasn’t getting a full blown pedicure he didn’t care about the level of service I received. So I left with uneven, unshaped toenails. Will never come back here or recommend anyone else does.

I was given a $10 gift card since i spent over a certain amount. I will be gifting this card to someone else as i will NEVER go back there unless they fix my nails for free. I know many people in the medical field and females that ask me all the time where i get my nails done. I will not be referring anyone to this place.For the amount of money i spent at this place i could have gotten my nails and feet done somewhere else.

I always go to this place but last time I was so disappointed. I went to get the gel off and get manicure so my nails can breath. First, the guy was so pushy about getting a gel and I told him I need a breather. Then he took off the gel and my nails were getting so thin and he kept going and when I told him that he overused the electric gel remover he said take vitamins (so unprofessional). My nails now have been crazy thin and chipping for a month! So thanks so much. Stop worrying about making money and care about your customers and your manners

I absolutely love this place. The whole set up is beautiful. This was my first time coming to this nail salon. Check in was super simple. Just type in your name and phone. Then click on your service. And finally if this is your first this was your first time or a returning customer. This vibe is real chill. Will be returning very soon.

No attention to detail. When I asked them to fix my SNS which was bumpy, rough, and uneven the guy filed 1 nail for about 2 seconds and said “okay, it’s good”. This is all after the guy was super pushy about getting a more expensive pedicure (which I did decide to do) and it was the shortest pedicure I’ve ever had. I came here because of the good reviews and didn’t want anyone else to get tricked by them. I usually would not take the time to do this but my hope is the salon will realize quality Is key.

Way over priced with sloppy results!!! I’m not one to leave reviews but I can’t not address the issues I encountered at this nail salon. I have been getting my nails done every 2-3 weeks for over 20 years, yup, OVER 20 years and this by far was the worst experience ever. Not only do my nails look horrible but they are already lifting and it hasn’t even been 12 hours. I made my concerns clear while at the salon stating they were not probably done nor was the correct color applied. I was brushed off with a $10 gift card for my next visit. What makes you think I’d come back??? Never!!!! I told the nail technician numerous times that there needed to be more white on the tip of my pink and white nail set. She didn’t speak English and just nodded like she understood. Clearly she didn’t when you look at the pictures of my nails. With a pink and white set of nails, one should visit every 2 weeks for a pink fill only and every 3-4ish weeks for a pink and white fill. At the rate the technician applied my white acrylic, I need to go back in 2 days vs 2 weeks.Let me tell you this, if they mess up, they don’t own it. We all have bad days, but the fact that I was brushed off after spending over $150!!! My daughter and I both received pedis and my daughter got a mani while I got a pink and white fill that was the worst nail job I have ever had. And they don’t care!!! I can take my money elsewhere because this nail salon doesn’t deserve it.

Today I went in for a manicure/pedicure.The manicure was good but the guy keep asking and adding on services. (massage, wax,) he did my nails so fast as he watched tv. He made my gel polish manicure into a that was quick procedure. He only lotion and oil my nails after I agreed to a massage and wax. Dont lotion and oil come with a manicure? My husband and I are regular customers and tip very well $10 each and always get the more expensive pedicures to pamper and relax together. I gave them another chance after the tech refused to cut his nails low as I had asked 3 service. She just say it to close to the meat or laugh while they talk to each other. I even asked for the private room on occasion for both of us and wait for the same tech. When clearly I do his pedi all the time. I felt like they were just cutting them so they can grow back faster. They were uneven and looked bad each time. Even with different techs. I will not take him back. Today I went in by myself and the tech for the pedi gave me the book already open to the most expensive pedicures. I know I get those all the time. I just wanted the $35 and pointed to it. She then pointed to the $49 when she clearly saw my choice. I said no. She then started on my feet. I had to tell her the wax was not on my toes. She acted like she didnt understand. After showing her, she went back and got another wax and applied correctly. The girl at the counter had to been asking her why she did that when she talked in their language. After she finished my feet were still rough on the side of my toes.It was bad enough that me and my husband can not enjoy our me time spa days together. This was the first time I had a bad experience myself. The quality of service has gone down. I was addicted to this place and didnt care how much they charged because I experienced the royal essence service.I am going to have to find another salon that can take care of our needs. I called 2 salons that were booked today but went back to them anyway. Too expensive for the low quality. I dont mind you advertising your services. When you advertise royal essence please give that experience like you use to at town center. Very impressed with this nail salon! The staff were incredibly friendly. My manicurist spent a lot of time manicuring my toenails after a poor pedicure experience elsewhere. I had 2 ingrown toenails she was able to fix, they feel so much better! The massage, scrub, wax & towels were amazing. My toenails look amazing. The establishment was exceptionally clean and about 7 staff members were cleaning every corner of the salon for the entire hour we were there. I am so glad we’ve found a new nail salon after a couples poor experiences at our previous one.

Do not get dip here!! He didn’t know what he was doing. He didn’t file my nails after dipping and put a gel top coat! The result was thick, bumpy, misshaped, ugly nails!!! If you know dip then you will be terribly disappointed here! I never had dip before and I showed my sister who gets dip in south Florida and she said I should have asked for a refund that it was so bad!

OMG, if you want to feel pampered and like a queen, you have to come get a Pedi with the reflexology massage!! What an experience!!!

This is the friendliest and best nail salon I have been to! Family friendly staff and very personable nail technicians. I enjoyed an hour long pedicure with Annie. She did the reflexology pedicure and used a cool pressure point device and now my feet feel like they can run a marathon! She painted perfectly as well! Highly reccomend!! I’ve had several pedi’s in my life and they have the best prices and the most professional staff! Come check them out!!

This place is #1. Extremely clean. They make sure they clean each chair after a pedicure. Extremely nice and just awesome if I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Ever since they split with their sister location this place has continued to go downhill. Prices have been raised tremendously with the cheapest pedi starting at $48, a reasonable price increase is expected because of the impact of COVID, but twice now I have gotten a rushed pedicure and a sloppy paint job and I just can’t justify coming here any more. I used to love coming here because they did a great job and the price was great but I will have to look elsewhere.

WORST EXPERIENCE AT A NAIL SALON EVER!!! I decided to try this salon after receiving a gift certificate for a pedicure. When I got there I showed the receptionist the certificate and told her IN ADDITION I wanted an overlay acrylic manicure with gel paint and a design on two fingers. The pedicure was first and for the most part went fine, although, I did find their sterilization techniques questionable (no plastic barrier on foot tub, instruments only sprayed with solution and put back, pumice stone rinsed in same water as my feet and put back).When it was time for the manicure I told the woman I wanted my nails to look nice since my engagement party was in two days. I asked her to only cut my nails a little shorter (they were naturally long already) and shape them in a coffin shape with rounded corners (I even showed her a picture). She started cutting then applying the acrylic. Midway through, there was a situation in the salon involving another customer. The woman doing my nails, who I think is the owner, was distracted and kept looking away. She then abruptly got up and left to talk with other staff. I sat there not knowing what was going on for a few minutes before someone else came to take over. The new guy doesnt finish the trimming or shaping he just starts applying something to my nails.Two minutes in with the new guy and another staff member moves me to another techs station. The 3rd tech now takes over and goes to start painting my nails. At this point Im already frustrated at being bounced around, I stopped him and asked when he was going to do the manicure part (trimming the cuticles, etc.) He said that he wasnt told about the manicure and that it would be an additional charge, EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THE WOMAN AT THE FRONT WHEN I CHECKED IN! I told him Id pay for it but he said that since the first woman had applied the acrylic already they would not be able to cut the cuticles anymore. I pointed out that my nails were still not shaped properly (some were longer than others, some had sharp corners, some had rounded corners, they were not straight or even). He tried to fix it by filing the nails down more he only made it worse. At this point I was done, my nails were looking so bad I just started crying. The situation was only made worse by the fact that when I looked over, my original lady had already started working on ANOTHER CUSTOMER instead of returning to finish my nails.As Im sitting there crying, another staff member, who I think was the owners son, walks over, and hands me a tissue (he was the only nice guy in there by the way! No one else offered a tissue!). I explain whats been happening and how unhappy I am. He then moves me back to my original lady (shafting her other customer in the process). She then tries to correct what the other guy did but at this point my nails are SUPER short, not what I had asked for at all. The entire time shes applying the paint I cant stop crying, every time I looked down I saw how ugly they looked and how ugly they would look at my engagement party. She almost forgot to apply the design to two of the nails until I reminded her, miscommunication between staff.. AGAIN! When finished I could not get out of there fast enough! I left so upset and in a hurry that I forgot to even use the gift certificate that brought me here in the first place!!After leaving, the more I looked at my nails the more upset I got. There were gaps between my cuticles and the paint, it looked as if I had it done a week ago and my nails grew out instead of having them done that day. The shape looked like little eggs and the designs were two different sizes. I called them to ask if they would be able to redo them or refund me. They said they wouldnt redo my nails an only offered to discount what I already paid.This salon is incredibly unprofessional, there is no communication between staff, and they clearly do not care about their customers. I still have that gift certificate which Im just going to throw away because I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE I KNOW!!

I havent gone to a nail place in a while since the last time o went and got my nails and eye brows done my eyebrows were hacked off but I was driving home after work and saw this place and instantly when I walked in I was amazed it looked so nice and the the service was fast as soon as I signed in I was helped and my eyebrows were perfect this is my new favorite place!!

I’ve been going here going on 2+ years ago. The staff is great and the services are very reasonably priced. The best thing is if you have a chip by the next day or even the day after, they fix it for free! Love them, will always go to them till they are around.

Honestly, upon finding out the original owners would no longer be in this establishment,of course I was VERY skeptical. After years of repor and being able to pick from familiar faces and sticking to one nail tech, UGH!, but after a bad experience at another place after the shift, because of familiarity, I returned, & to my surprise I was pleased, my visit was pleasant, Customer service and all and a few employees remained. Yes, it was my first time as a new client in an old yet new establishment. Hoping it remains the same ambience, so far Ill recommend.

I went in to get a mani-pedi. Everything was so relaxing and I must say I felt catered too. The massage that they give you while getting the pedicure is AMAZING. Once they finished my nails they massaged my arms and hands with warm oils. I am excited to return.

Royal Essence is always a great place for manicure and pedicure. The atmosphere is what youd expect in any nail salon. The prices and service are great! Yet, what youd normal pay extras for, like a stone massage, are included. No surprises here. Me and my daughter love it and keep coming back!

I had my first ever gel manicure here about a year ago. I went to two different salons after, as I was new to manicures in general, and I wanted to get a feel for how the procedures and methods differed between technicians. I found myself right back at Royal Essence. My manicures have lasted up to 2 and half weeks (maybe longer, but definitively 2.5), whereas the other two places were chipping within a week.I feel its imperative to state that I am a manager at a coffee shop and I put my nails under a great deal of daily stress as a result. I get compliments often on the quality and duration of my manicures.Im finally writing this review because since I first decided to start getting regular manicures, Ive wanted to find a technician that I wanted to see each time. Ive had 5 different technicians here, and while I loved certain aspects of each of their styles in manicure, and interaction, I hadnt settled on the all around, perfect-for-me technician.I had an appointment with Shawn today for the first time, and Im excited to say, Ive found my technician! Every aspect of the perfect manicure to me, personally, was achieved in todays manicure! I am admittedly a bit of a perfectionist, so to be unable to see anything less than perfect on my nails, in a HUGE deal for me! The only thing I can say is the color that I picked didnt come out as dark as i expected, but that is a personal error, and does not in any way take from the experience i had with Shawn today!On a separate note, Im excited to see the new upgrades within the salon! I have specifically thought before about how nice it would be if they had a member rewards program, and to my surprise upon my return to the salon (after a month of letting my nails breathe), Im finally a member of my favorite salon! Worst place ever!!! to get nails done. I had my nails done by the lady up front named Anna. I asked her multiple times who the new owners where, she lied and told me that she only works there, from what I’ve learned after coming to Royal Essence for years that the original owners packed up and left that new woman up front owns the business now she is a lier and I felt she was being very hostile when I asked her to fix my nails that she did for me she’s lucky I don’t sue her! Also her English is very bad I will never come back to this place for service again.

Wow!! Hardly anyone speaks English #1– typically I can bypass this but not when you’re asking for specifics and the tech can’t even understand a word you’re saying. #2 pedicures are not pedicures so do not ever get one from here I highly suggest considering elsewhere. You will regret it!! No massage, bottom of feet still hard didn’t even use the scraper and my pedi was $40?!?! I will never come here again.

As a loyal customer for 9+ years, I must say you won’t experience anything less than the royal treatment when you come here! The atmosphere is inviting, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the salon is always clean. Emily is the absolute BEST nail tech ever and you won’t experience a better pedicure anywhere else. Excellent customer service! I had to wait for a bit, but they were very apologetic and accommodating while I waited. I got a pedicure and it was very thorough and felt pretty good. I like that they dont charge extra for the wax or the hot stones!! Would definitely recommend this place. I gave 4 stars because of the wait and not having enough workers to do pedicures.

Wow what an amazing experience. My technician i believe her name is rose ( sorry if i mess it up ) but she was absolutely wonderful. I got so much for my pedicure for a good price. I tipped extra because I felt like the service i got was worth more than the price they charged. I will return. So friendly and nice.

I’ve only been here twice and each time was a disaster. The first time the lady doing my nails was rude. The second time I waited 30 mins for a man I made an appointment to see and he never showed. My appointment was for 9:30am. At 10:02am Someone else took care of me and she did an amateur job. My gel nails were chipping 4 days after getting them done. I suspect the chipping had to do with the 4 freaking coats of color she had to spread due to her inability to make the color smooth and not see through. Every time I get gel nails they last no less than 2 and a half weeks. I’m beyond livid I even paid for this. And then of course at the end of my visit the tech asked me loudly “WANNA ADD TIP!?” Don’t try to back me into tipping. I was going to anyway out of courtesy but tbh there was no ounce of courtesy or customer service during my visit. I didn’t even get a freaking discount after finally being taken care of after waiting 30mins for someone. Will not return. Ever.

Honestly love my nails they did a great job but charged me $10 extra to file them! I get shaping them might cost extra and you get what you pay for and all but I would have thought $5 at most not $10 just to file them. They do look good but honestly not worth the extra money. There are plenty of good salons in the area for a lot cheaper!

I just LOVE this salon. Very clean, you cant even smell those harsh fumes. I recommend going here, the pedicures are only 28$!! includes paraffin wax, massage, hot stones and towels. they even massage your back while you dry your toes!! if you go on the weekend they eve have a special guy who does it, hes AMAZING. you get everything here, even one complimentary beverage. did I mention they have wine? this one makes you feel at ease and relaxed so youre definitely no thinking about anything else. I have been a customer since Town Center, and like other customers, refuse to go anywhere else, so I followed them to River City, and now to Tapestry Park. The service is always excellent, the people are super friendly and helpful, and the prices are very competitive for the area. During their remodel, I had to get my pedicures somewhere else, and I was definitely reminded why I love these guys so much. The last place I went to, my toe polish lasted for a week. I am pretty picky, and Ive never been disappointed. Exceptional service gets my attention, but continuous exceptional work and service gets my loyalty.

This is hands down the best salon in Jacksonville! Ive been a customer for about 5 years because of the service and quality. I will only get gel manicures done at Royal Essence because everywhere else chips and/or starts to peel after a week.Also, Emily is awesome! She is one of the hardest working people I know, and her dedication and loyalty to her customers is obvious. I found Royal Essence online just looking for a great place to get a pedi. I read quite a few reviews and gave it a try. I have ZERO regrets!!! This is my fave place. This is my new go to spot in Jacksonville. First time I’ve gotten a pedicure in YEARS that didn’t hurt. Hands down the best pedicure I’ve ever gotten. The tech checked in continuously and was so attentive.

Beautiful job on my nails by very friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere too. The color I picked out for my nails wasn’t available anymore and they found me a similar alternative that I actually liked more!

Royal Essence Spa is clean, so thats a big plus. Everyone is nice and courteous. My technician offered me something to drink and was patient with me as I chose a nail color. He had his work cut out for him as with my move to Jacksonville, my nails and feet were the last thing on my mind. He did a good job cleaning up my cuticles, wasnt talkative, but was informative as I had left my nail polish on too long and it stained my toes so he let me know they needed a breather. I still opted for color as my birthday is coming up so I promised to take it off after that and give them a break. He massaged my legs and feet for much longer than what Im used to getting at this price point, yay! He also wanted to make sure I was happy with his product which I dont get too often at other nail places either. Overall a good experience. Would come here again.

I love this salon! Very big, open, and clean. The staff was very nice and I really enjoyed the service they provided. They are typically pretty busy on Saturday’s so don’t wait to make an appointment. Highly recommend!

Got a gel manicure and pedicure done and was treated with the best care I have had when getting my nails done. The establishment is very clean and the staff is super friendly and approachable. I have been here a few times for just a normal pedicure but was very impressed with my very impressed with the quality of the gel.

Kevin is amazing. He was gentle and polite and really made me feel comfortable. Royal Essence has a great selection of Gel colors. I will definitely be returning to see Kevin!

What a relaxing, awesome experience at Royal Essence Spa today! They took excellent care of us and I love my nails!!! The massage chair, hot stones, paraffin wax, Eucalyptus scrub and leg/foot massage was such a relaxing and wonderful experience! This is the place to go! Everyone is so nice...and you even get a little back massage after they are done with your nails...what a nice touch...so awesome!!! I will definitely be a returning customer! Thank you all!

Great service for the price. If you arent happy they will fix it! Appointment recommended but I have never waited more than 20 minutes. They are clean and everyone is nice.

I absolutely love this place. Everyone is so pleasant. The the service they deliver is not like most other nail salons where the service feels rushed. I’m real picky when it comes to using quality products, especially when the prices are not cheap. I shouldn’t have to spend money on a pedicure and when they use lotion my feet still feels dry when I walk out. But this salon right here......OMG the price is reasonable for the service they provide is beyond my expectations. I can tell they don’t water down their products to make it last while charging the consumers more money. Especially when I see my gel mani and pedi last beyond 2 weeks.I’ve been coming to this salon since 2017 and my go to guy is Kevin. Since coming to this salon I’ve had a couple of people from the salon do my gel mani and pedi when Kevin isn’t in, but I really prefer Kevin. He’s really friendly, patient and kind when he works on his clients. So if I come in and he’s not working that day I’ll just come back another day to get my service done by him. There’s been times where I waited two months, due to my schedule and catching Kevin on the days he was working, for Kevin to do my gel mani and pedi. Like, I won’t even go to another nail salon. Kevin at Royal essence at tapestry park is my only go to person for gel mani and pedi. Idk what I’ll do if he ever decides to stop doing nails. Until then I can rest assure that Kevin will always deliver great results, even when he doesn’t feel well I can still count on him to deliver great results.

Great pedicure! Went to old location in town center previously and very glad I rechecked reviews before going back. Seems they changed owners and this is the new location for the town center owners. Had a pedicure today and it was great. They take lots of time and do extras like wax and stones even with the basic $28.00 pedicure. Best choice for pedicure by far.

Incredible spa. I brought my mother as a surprise for her birthday. Her and her friends raved about the salon and the treatments. The pedicures are outstanding with the paraffin wax and the hot stones and the scrubs. Very fair pricing and we could bring our own wine. We will definitely be visiting again.

5/5 They are the literal best. Theyve earned #1 in Jacksonville. Polite, clean, professional staff who are SO friendly. Ive never been disappointed any of the countless times Ive gone to Royal Essence at Tapestry Park. It is completely worth every penny and tip! ;) The pedicures are top notch!UPDATE: Now that they are under new management they are a 180 degree turn around. My manicures are inconsistent, sloppy and rushed. My fingers are on fire from this botched job. If you can’t do a design SAY THAT. This salon was my secret place I told everyone to go to for years and now it’s the complete opposite. So sad! 0/5...

I was told about this place from one of their clients and I’ve been looking for a new nail salon. Came in spur or the moment with my mom and got manis/pedis. We barely waited and the service was very quick. The employees were so nice and friendly and great at their job. They also have such a wide range of colors and powders. Definitely coming back and definitely recommend!

Got my eyebrows and upper lip done and the lady started to double dip the stick. I told her it’s not clean and she said it’s ok. Disgusting!!!! Don’t use the wax there!

I love this place! Its clean and spacious. The staff are really nice and friendly. And theres a VIP room for special pedicures. You have to walk to the entrance thats facing the street, which is away from the parking lot, but its not too bad.
