I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Y’all This nail tech named Tracey got me right!! She did amazing on my toes that were once claws of an eagle. When pulling up ask for Tracey because she will get you right. Well from what I was seeing everyone based on their work seemed very skilled. But Tracey is extremely professional and nice as well. They accepted walk-ins as well!! Anyways this my new nail place now because this was last minute for me and they delivered. The way she massaged and exfoliated my feet was phenomenal. I love it here. Definitely will be back. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. The business as a whole was 10/10. BY THE WAY THATS MY REAL TOE NAILS NOT NO ACRYLICS THATS HOW AMAZING OF A JOB TRACEY DID!!

The lady that did my pedicure did an okay job, before I got out the chair she asked if I liked it, I said yes at the time because it looked fine, however, my two big toes had too much paint on them and appeared sloppy. I also had paint on other toes that she didnt bother to clean up.Another lady did my dip powder for my nails. I asked her to clean up my cuticles and shape my nails (my nails were already naturally long), I had been saying that the whole time I was there. Needless to say, the lady was rushing through the process ans I will give some credit maybe she is good at doing dip nail, but I didnt like how my nails turned out. Later that night, I woke up and noticed my nails were glowing. Unsure what she used, but my nails glow in the dark and I I not ask for that! So, while Im sure it is cool for others to have glow in the dark nails, I didnt ask for that. I will not be going back.

Nina saved my nails after I got them botched at another local salon. I came in almost in tears and she didn’t disappoint! Thank you Nina!

Got my arcrylic nails removed and the girl who removed my nails ripped and peeled off the rest off my nails with another fake nail after soaking them. Told them that it hurt and when i told the technician it hurt she just looked at me. My technician whoni originally had that was male swapped out and just left and dropped me with the one who RIPPED my nails off. Nails are now jacked Ill never go back here again.

I scheduled a visit for my mother for Mothers Day and their phone etiquette here is wonderful. Theyre also open on Sundays so that is a plus. My daughter also joined my mother and had a manicure. My mom received a powder gel manicure and it came out really well. I was happy with the round shape of her nails because many of her nails were chipping and short.Its hard to find a decent nail salon in this area let alone open on Sunday.

Amazing best pedicure ever the special treatment with wax i loved it. My feet feel amazing!!! The shop is very clean an decorated beautiful. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. The wait time was good too we didnt even have to wait an there was 3 of us.

My husband said Kathy was great on his pedicure as well (incase you are bringing a friend) I had not had my nails done in six years and was very nervous on where to go, from the moment I walked in it was a GREAT experience. Of course rn things are crazy busy because everyone and their mother is getting their nails done for first time in forever. With that said the wait time was a bit longer than anticipated and was told on phone before going in. When I was seen for my pedicure they did a good job but noticed when I got home I have bit of rough skin on heel still. The acrylic full set looks amazing. I also noticed their place is a bit dirty but they were also swamped so take it with grain of salt .

This was a really great place. I took my 9-yr-old niece and they treated us both so well and they were great with her. The salon is clean and open. My manicure wasnt super clean but my nieces was excellent.

I began going to NC Nails about 3 months ago at the recommendation of a coworker. Everyone there does a good job and the prices are reasonable . Prior to that I had been jumping around from salon to salon trying to find a good place. I never requested a specific nail tech until now. Jenny did such a good job with my nails and I LOVE THEM! She is the best and works quickly. She is super professional and doesnt bore you with pointless banter. Jenny got straight to work, and made my nails look AMAZING!!!! Everyone there does a good job and I highly recommend all the Nail Techs at NC Nails, BUT I will be requesting Jenny from now on because my nails have never looked better!!!

When I first moved to NC I tried a handful of nail salons trying to find the best one for me. I’ve been going to NC nails for about 2 years and for the past few months I have been a loyal customer to Max. All of the nail techs I’ve worked with have been great, but I’ve been especially pleased with my nails and how long they can hold up since I started going to him. He always listens and makes sure I’m happy with the outcome. I’d definitely recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great and affordable place.

Friendly staff and they did a great job

They do a pretty good job and do it pretty quickly. The woman who did my nails was not very good at putting the design I wanted on which was just straight lines so I am a bit disappointed. But after two weeks with these nails they have not chipped or started to pull up at the edges even with my habit of picking at the edges.

I love this place! Sam always does such a fantastic job on my nails! Ever since I switched I get compliments on my nails all the time! Hannah does my eyebrows perfectly every time and everyone always has such a great attitude when I call and when I go in. Theyve earned my business for life! I would give 10 stars if I could ❤

I was very disappointed with the service my daughter and I Received today. I called and was quoted a price of $45 for a full gel set and coffin shape. When we got there the woman who did my nails told me it would be $5 extra for the length. When she was finished with my nails she changed the price to $60 and lied to my face that I was incorrect about the price when I previously asked her on the phone and before getting service. My daughter asked for the square shape and got a longer length. The woman that did her nails said that it would be $5 extra for the length. My daughters also got a full gel set. Two of my daughters nails were crooked. My nails came out very thick, they look like Gumby nails. So long story short we will not be coming back to Nc nails again. Would not recommend getting your nails done here unless you want to waste money and have overpriced Gumby shaped nails.

Was getting my nails done somewhere else in Jacksonville, my nails were never done right. Then tried a different Place and they were even worse. I came to NC nails, best place ever. So happy with my outcome. He fixed my nails, and saved my natural nails. I will only go to Sam there!! Clean, friendly. And just overall great! This will be my new place and only place!

Awesome pedicure. Sam really paid attention to the knots in my legs and I was really grateful for that. I am a server and being on my feet all day really puts a toll on me. Along with the great polish job and the simple but very cute design I was over all highly satisfied. Will be back again.

I am a visitor of my sister and dont usually go out and get my nails done anywhere besides my hometown but I really wanted to have girls time so I did. I had a great experience here, all the workers were nice and treated everyone with kindness. When I got acrylic nails and the guy I had took his time and was focused on my nails which was nice. This was my third time at NC Nails, and I love it!!! The atmosphere is nice, and they have great customer service! In the three times that Ive come to NC Nails, Ive had three different nail techs, (the owner, Ryan, and Min) and theyve all been great. I was hesitant to give a review, because (selfishly 😉) I kinda wanna keep this little treasure a secret. But that wouldnt have been right...

After having the same nail tech for 8 years i had to find a new one.. a few people i know personally gave this place great reviews so i decided to see what they were about.. BIG MISTAKE. Not only did the tech do sloppy work he rushed it. Yes they were busy but they should never tell some one 20 mins when you know it takes a good 45 to do it right... After Rushing the nail job it self he moved me to another chair where i sat waiting for 45 mins😡 to get a design on my ring finger when the second dude finished and i went to pay i was floored at the prices... when i sat down and asked it was 45 for a coffin cut and color . then because i didnt want a fully painted nail i was charged 5 extra??... then lets not forget the 10 for the design... i walked out with 63 bucks less in my pocket and nails i am definetely NOT HAPPY WITH..

My family came to town 7 of us ventured out to get our nails done. We went to NC nails they were very attentive each tech did a wonderful job we all left extremely happy... we got everything from manicures, pedicures, full sets and Sam does awesome liquid gel nails and any design you could imagine... my family has planned to come back next month and requested a trip back to NC nails!

I was asked to wait for an hour or even more. My nails came out okay. Im not from around, so I dont know what a good price would be but I was charged 45$. My nails are coffin with a silver ombre. The lady was fast doing my nails and this is why Im giving them 3 stars.

I went at a good time when it wasnt busy for a simple manicure and a pedicure. At first the nail tech was taking his time but as soon as more people started coming in he did not have a care in the world anymore. He missed many corners and sides of my nails. Very disappointed since this place has many good reviews. Ill keep my money next time.

Twice now I have been here. Both times failed. This time I changed my acrylic nails to French manicure. They left bits of red showing beneath and refused to just take off the current nails and do it correctly. They are lazy and do not pay attention to details. I wont be returning. I actually had to Google a photo of what a French Manicure was to look like. Sheesh!

I love this salon. I have been a customer here for a year and will continue to be! I always see Tip and she takes great care of me. She remembers what I like and colors I like & dont. It is nice to come in and truly be remembered and relax! I would recommend Tip to anyone. 😊

I got bitten by a bug during my manicure. I messed up my nails when I freaked out from the bite. He didn’t take the polish off and redo it. He just applied another coat. There was a mark on my shoulder from the bite and one of the workers confirmed it was there. No one offered to redo my nail. I will never go back.

Wish I had the option to give 0 stars. So unsanitary. My technician barely spoke any English. If you want to do good at your job, you must know the language of your client. She didnt sanitize any of her tools before or after she used them, and after she used them on me, she shared them with the technician next to her who also did not sanitize them before using them on her client. When she tried to push my curicles back she used her own dirty fingernails, and I had to ask her to stop and use something else. She then replied that she didnt want to fix my cuticles anymore. The brush she used to dust off my nails when she finished filing was so full of old dust from previous peoples nails that it left more dust on them than before. She also dragged the dropper of cuticle oil across my fingers, and dunked it back in the bottle for the other hand. Assuming she does this with everyone else, and did not sanitize my hands beforehand, it could have been festering with bacteria or nail fungus for all I know. She also did not listen to me when I requested that she did not ruin or over-buff my natural nail surface before applying my acrylic overlays. She filed so much off that my nail beds hurt for a week. I wouldnt be surprised if these ladies arent even licensed. Dont be fooled, this place might look nice and fancy on the surface, but you would be better off going somewhere else that is clean, sanitary, and does your nails like you requested.

The customer service was phenomenal. Me and my three year went for a pedicure and they allowed her to stay in her chair while I got everything done. They were so nice and easy with her! The only reason why I cant give a 5 star is the deluxe pedicure comes with a sugar scrub calf massage and that was really really rough. My calfskin are so tender to the touch and you can see where some skin came off, it almost looks like a sun burn peeling. Other than this everything was absolutely great.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. My friend and I went in for pedicures. First, the water was burning hot. We had to ask twice for them to add cold water before it was an acceptable temperature. The tech was clearly new with no real training. I had to tell her to file and shape my nails. The other tech had to explain what I said because she understood so little English. Then she looked confused by the request. She barely scrubbed my feet at all. My feet are still ashy and it doesnt look like I got a pedicure at all. I got paint with glitter in it. She didnt even do a top coat so its gritty ro the touch. Also, one of my cubicles is sore now. I could have done a better job myself at home. Save your money!

I got the worst manicure and pedicure. The lady that did my pedicure was so rough when she was massaging my feet and she didnt even cut my nails even I kept on telling her and she would cut them shorter each time. I couldnt even understand her. I asked if I can have someone else for my manicure and she was going so fast my nails look horrible. This is the worst place ever

Salon was very clean and staff was friendly. Quality of work was lacking a little bit though- I got a gel manicure (as I have been doing for months now) and it hardly lasted a week and a half without chipping. I have been able to go almost 3 weeks between manicures at other places. The clear coat peeled off of one of my nails within a week and three other nails have now chipped in the corner and I will need to go get them redone soon. I am new to the area and will be trying other salons.

I just moved to the area and I needed a new nail salon. I chose this one because of previous reviews I have seen. A guy named Sam did my nails and he was so nice, we spoke the entire time my nails were being filled and he was just an all around great guy. My nails look fantastic. I highly recommend this nail salon for any new or existing residents around Jacksonville area.

Its an overall okay place. I understand that its first come first serve but I waited over half an hour to be helped. I was getting an ombre color so they made me wait for their best person (Im assuming) to do my nails. I understand that they wanted me to have a satisfactory experience but seeing 2-3 workers sitting around while I wait was just wrong. My nails turned out great except the lengths are overall uneven. They also kept asking me if I wanted acrylics even after I told them I didnt multiple times (they asked me 4 times if I wanted it). Theyre very polite and the prices arent bad but this wouldnt be the place Id go to regularly

I visited her not too long ago and had a pretty decent time. I went alone on a weekday, so there was no rush and I could relax. The girl was super nice and made my acrylics look beyond better than I was hoping. She took her time and made sure I liked them. When I asked her opinion on which pink we should do, she helped me without saying “it’s up to you” like everyone else. The only negative thing that’s preventing me from giving 5 stars is the fact that she never tried conversing with me even though she understood what I was saying and there was a freaking fly going around me the entire duration of my set. I gave a $10 tip because she DID do a great job but would’ve given more had she tried conversing with me.

I have been searching for a good nail salon and I highly recommend this salon. I walked in and the owner welcomed me right away. They started on my nails right away. I will be going back!

I been a customer at NC nails for 6 years and I love it. They always make sure before I walk out that my nails are 100% the way I want them to be . Just recently on 3-25-17 my husband and I both received the full service pedicure procedures and it was his 1st time there he loved it and we will be returning together soon . They are overpriced, have hidden fees, and there prices aren’t clear in the first place, as well as they don’t listen to what you ask. They also took FOREVER on my friends nails and they were not done well. The people seem nice but are sneaky with the prices.

Prices were not bad. My nails were ok.

Peeled all of my nails off while taking a bath! Second star was for easy removal. Lady ran back and forth doing eyebrows in between things she was doing on me which was fine the 1st and 2nd time but once she did it the 3rd and 4th time it was getting excessive. Good thing I wasn’t in a rush that day. She messed up one of my nails and looked at it as she was finishing up but decided that since I wasn’t saying anything that it was good enough. Might be better with another employee but what do I know? I’ll probably just go somewhere else instead.

Had my first visit here today and I enjoyed it. Customer service was great. They were patient, thorough and detailed in their work to make sure they did an amazing job. When the mani-pedi was done, we were asked by an older man, I presume the owner, how it went and if we enjoyed the service. It was relaxing and I am very satisfied with the results.Update: When the older woman did my nails it lasted less than a week. A week and two days before I had to completely remove them. The same happened to a loved one. So you should be careful with that. When others did it, they last weeks.To address the complaints regarding language barrier:If you choose to patron an establishment that is run by foreign staff, you should be prepared to deal with that. America is a melting pot. If you want perfect English, there ARE American owned and operated spas in this town. You had a choice, you made it. Yes, I struggled to understand my nail technician. But he was patient with me and I was patient with him. Its called understanding we come from two different cultures and being adults about it.To address the complaints regarding wait time:Come early. We were door busters. They were fully staffed, and no one that came after us had to wait, cause they were early too. Theres ways around that.No regrets, I loved it! Come and see for yourself. Just know what youll be dealing with in advanced. If you dont want to deal with different cultures, dont shop foreign. If you dont want to be seen late, dont come late. Happy nail hunting!

Have had a REALLY hard time finding somewhere that was good with doing the new shapes and having them look the way they are supposed to. FINALLY Sam at NC nails got it right and they look great!!

The staff was really nice and very attentive. But the aftermath of the pedicures were not good they shaved to much skin off of my foot and it cracked open, I needed stitches and it hurt like crazy DONOT RECOMMENDED

Best high class experience for an average price. Ask for Ryan hes a perfectionist, so be prepared to be there a while. However, you wont regret it. My pedicure was so gental, and my nails look so real. Ive heard sam and Jenny are great too. Ignore the bad reviews this place is great. I was worried at first but Im glad I went there. Had my nails done for the Marine Corp ball.

I asked for a pink glitter ombré and I only got the color pink!! I am embarrassed walking around with these nails. Now I have to fix this mess at home. AJ nails does a way better job but I decided to come here since it was closer.. never again.

I have been coming here almost ten years!! Now that it has been taken over and Amy and her husband are no longer there.. I have had the worst experience with my nails!!!! Always lifting before the week is up, never cover my whole nail and they always leave me looking like i need a fill before I leave.. I try not to say anything because they are very polite.. But, I had to think they are going to want their money and im not satisfied... i had to direct today on what to use for my pedicure.. this is the last time I will be here again.. they are nice and polite but lack skill.. if I could give no stars thats what it would be.. I come for a service not to make friends.

I went in to get one of my nail fixed 3 days after I had got a gel fill. As soon as I walk in they seemed bothered that I came in for a nail fix other then getting a gel pedicure or gel fill like I usually get. they were not busy and had plenty of workers available. Instead of fixing my nail which really is a quick process, they started doing each others nails & eyebrows as if I wasnt there. 40 minutes later one of them comes up to me and tells me to go to their chair as if there had been someone in her chair the 40 minutes I was waiting. She had attitude the whole time doing my nail fix, she didnt even drill it & got mad when I didnt leave a tip. p.s. Im a great tipper & I usually tip even if I did not like the service, but the disrespect was to much especially since Im there every other week. I will not be coming back here!!

Just had the BEST leg and foot massage Ive ever had with a pedicure, done by Eric! I asked him if I could take him home with me, lol!! The other parts of the pedicure felt a little rushed though, which is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. But I will return in the future, hopefully wont be as rushed! I will say that I came in about 40 minutes before their closing time on a Friday evening, so maybe that was the reason for the rush?? Otherwise a good experience for my 1st time at NC Nails. Its so hard to find a salon that does wonderful pedicures in Jacksonville, Swansboro, etc...but Im optimistic about NC Nails!

Amazing customer service will definetely be going back. Sam is great! I usually always come out disappointed at nail salons but im super happy with the way they came out! Theyre very gentle and take their time to ensure theyre perfect. They strive to give their very best service and to do a great job. Ask for sam when you go in!
