I’ve tried several places in the area and without a doubt this is THE BEST WHOLE EXPERIENCE. The shop is very clean and maintained very well. Everyone was a pleasure to speak to and very friendly. My nails look AMAZING and I will be returning!

I visited this shop based on the high reviews. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the shop is very clean. However, I was pretty disappointed in my gel manicure. Gel polish is stuck to my skin and it pooled around the side of my nails, which can be seen in the photos. There are bumps/spikes (?) in the polish that were not removed as well. If I come back, I will request a nail tech mentioned in one of the many five-star reviews!

Wowwwwww! It was my first time visiting. I was greeted immediately and sitting in a chair within 5 minutes. The shop was clean and hygienic. They had COVID precautions in place. Staff were very professional and friendly... I will be going back!!!

If I could give less than one star I would because of the terrible customer service. Shop does not stay open to schedule hours on door. Employees are very unprofessional. I was told I could return on Saturday to repair my nail and the shop would be open until 730 and to call ahead of time . When I called was met with an unprofessional Manager stating they would be closing early and they take the last customer at 6pm anyways. After spending an over priced $65 dollars on my nails the day before . Rude and unprofessional. Do not waste your time. I have been to the shop several times and twice was insulted twice making a point to tell me the price as if I could not afford to pay for my nails. The second time it happened I made a point to let them know I wouldnt be getting my nails done if I couldnt afford it. Mind you I was the only minority getting my nails done both times. I will not return and will let everyone I know to stay away from this shop!!!

I am pleased than yesterday I found this place on my Google search. I called and made my appointment and today I went. The experience was nice, seams being a family business which make me feel very comfortable.I adore the massaging chairs and I was able repeat and change the settings according to what I wanted. The pedicure was intense and deep, she did an awesome job, not like some other places of the area where they concentrate the service in the massage, the stones, and the massage, and you finish paying for massage and the Polish, not for a real good pedicure. Here they do massage your feet and legs, but they make sure that also at the end your feet feel clean and with no pressure in your nails. The manicure was clean and impeccable, we were in a little hurry because I had to pick my kid up, but the gentleman providing the service made sure that my hands and polish look sharp. Conclusion, I am going to return, I hope the next time the experience can be repeated.

Tom was very friendly and nice... however when I got home my gel was already chipped and I have to drive 20 minutes back to the salon. On top of that they charge if you get two colors on your nails (which is fine) but they don’t tell you up front that there will be additional charges.

I was very disappointed with this place, I was expecting more, but I will give it one more try. Ive only been once, an older man was my nail tech, the pedicure was relaxing and the polish looks great. My gel manicure however is why Im bummed. As he painted my nails I could see he was not correcting his mistakes, the paint pooled on the sides of my nails. He did not use alcohol to end the gel manicure which I once read is what helps maintain it. Its only been a few days and the nail polish that was on my skin has chipped off, taking off some of the polish that was on my nails with it. Ive never had a manicure where the paint was allowed to pool so I figured maybe he knew something I didnt and that everything would be okay. Not only the color but the clear coat is still on my skin or off in chunks. Everyone was very polite and spoke fluent English, which is wonderful. Ive noticed at many salons there is a language barrier which results in problems with services given. I will try one more time but I will wait for another person to assist me. Also, after work they were very busy and had to turn many customers away due to being short staffed. I would suggest calling ahead before making the drive if you want to head over on a weekend or after 4pm.Edit- I have gone back here a few times now. They are always very busy which is a negative. The positive is that all the women who work there are very good and this is now the only place I like to get my manicure.

This salon was a lifesaver. I am from out of town and needed to fix a broken nail. The staff was very patient with me over the phone and promptly looked for the color I needed. They tended to me quickly after arriving in the salon and performed an excellent job fixing my SNS nail. Thank you very much!!!

I already left a review but I’m leaving another one because this salon has me literally furious. I’ve contacted Lina both yesterday and today like she told me to and I’ve heard nothing back. She told me that herself or jade would redo my nails that I paid over $40 for just to go ghost. Very unprofessional and I’m so dissatisfied with the services I had done. My toes have started to chip already and they were done yesterday. My nails and toes aren’t even the same color and I asked for them to be. My finger gel polish is so messy and pouring at the edges I could lift it up and hide $20 under there. I could create a whole saving college fund for my unborn child and stick it underneath this thick peeling piece of gel. please never go here in your life. You will regret it and it will literally bring down your self esteem 3 notches. My fingernails look like they belong to an 87 year old women with carpel tunnel. I have literally pieces of bubble gum for finger nails. I’ve seen bubble gum stuck under a desk look better than these nails. They’re absolutely horrid.And I will continue to leave nasty reviews until I get refunded. I no longer want to be re-serviced due to the lack of professionalism, and overall just the skill set of the tech I went to.

Professional staff and does exceptional work. I came in last minute and they was able to take my sister, my daughter, and I in quickly. We had all pedicures and manicures done. They took their time on us even though people kept coming in. We are extremely happy with their work and will be back!

My husband and I moved up here to the Pecan Park area from Southside/Baymeadows and I had to find a new nail place that I could go to on a regular basis. The place I had gone before the move was absolutely wonderful and the technicians knew what I did and didnt like so I was sad to have to find a place that could do the same. I tried 3 different salons and none met my expectations. I had seen American Star Nails on the Google search and saw many great reviews so I finally decided to try them out. Let me tell you, that was the best decision ever!! Everyone there welcomed me like I had been going there for a long time. I finally felt comfortable like I was at my go to salon. I havent been anywhere else since that first visit. I make my appointments with Lina because I loved her kind spirit from day one. She totally understands how to take care of my feet very well and she listens when I say I have to have my nails super short due to the work I do. I love that I can call on Lina and get on her schedule easily most of the time. Do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment with her! She will not disappoint!! You will have to make an appointment to avoid a wait because these ladies and guys are phenomenal and stay pretty busy. Lina is my nail girl for life!!

I came in last minute for a mani with gel polish on a Friday evening. Everyone working made sure to greet me, and they were prompt with bringing the gel colors to me. My nails looked amazing.I also had to bring my son with me, and they made sure he was taken care of by watching Netflix and offered a water to him. Lina and Jade do an awesome jobs on nails. Their selection of SNS colors are better than most salons. In addition they are welcoming.

They did my nails for my wedding, and I was just there to get SNS taken off and put back on. And they do the best job by far. I made the mistake of going to a different nail salon the last time, and I wont do that again.

I just moved to Jacksonville and thought I’d try out this place due to there high review rate and when I walked in I was told to come back in 45 mins which wasn’t a big deal, I know how nail salons are...I come back for a fill and the guy (I can’t remember his name) did a great job shaping and painting my nails, I go to pay and he tells me $45 for just a fill.. I was furious but didn’t say anything because I was in a rush and thought I was getting quality nails. Fast forward a couple days one of my nails chip, I got off work early and went to go in and get it fixed at 6 o’clock on a Saturday(says they close at 7:30) and there doors where locked with people inside.Now it’s a week an half later and all my nails are coming up and I’m just disappointed. I would not recommend and definitely won’t go back

I’ve been coming here for a few years now that they have new people in here it’s gone down hill. And the wait is ridiculous I arrived at 3:30 and was told it would be a wait. Which I was fine with but once i sat down and it came to my to my turn a walkin was taken before me when I was already waiting. Not happy and this will be my last visit jade is very nice though.

I had the best Mani Pedi service here so far that I have found on the Northside. The nail tech was very polite and not extremely rough on my feet or hands. Super relaxing! I enjoyed every bit with no complaints. You get a selection of different scent rubs if you order a deluxe pedicure, which is nice if you want to change up the selection. They also offer a punch card for multiple visits. I will definitely be making this my always go to nail spot!

I was way over charged. The pricing on their menu is $26 for a basic pedicure and $30 for manicure however I was charged over $80 I felt taken advantage of and will not be returning. Id rather drive to the town center then go back there.

Let me start out by saying that initially I went into the salon expecting it to be as good as the reviews said. I went to get my nails done at this salon and my nails came out awful, my nails were poorly shaped, I didnt at all get the shape i asked for. The length was much shorter than what I asked for due to him trying to shape my nails with the nail file so much after cutting them to my desired length. The gel polish was messy and looked very rushed. When i came in, the salon had only one customer in it so a rushed job isnt at all what I thought would come from this experience. I went home hating my nails wanting to cry. I called back and spoke to a women worker who told me someone would be able to redo them which sounded great, until she told me the girl who was going to redo them wasnt going to redo them if I cut them, which I already had. If im getting my nails REDONE why would i leave them on? Plus theyre ugly, im not walking around with nails on that i hate. I already paid for them which was a complete waste of time and money. Then the woman stopped responding to my messages after i told them i had cut them. So now here I am furious and leaving a google review because I now have the ugliest nails ever on my hands and im no longer being responded too yet they have my money. If I could give this place -5 stars I without a doubt would. It just sucks because they were nice people so I was trying to be nice and not be that customer who complains but like i said my nails were so hideous i wanted to cry. As soon as i got home I cut them off, Ive never hated my nails so bad to the point to where i felt as though cutting them off was the only way to making them look better. Im extremely disappointed because i was told they would be fixed and then the woman just stopped replying to me overall. If you go here just know that if you leave with ugly nails theres nothing that will be done. When you go to get them redone theyll just file off the color reshape them and polish them, not actually redo them, which is lazy and shouldnt be acceptable. I would not recommend my worse enemy to this salon. And I hate to be the one to say it but im not 1% satisfied at all. I wouldve been willing to soak them off at home and get another service to replace the fact that my nails looked like chewed up bubble gum stuck on my hands, but nothing is what I got in return. NEVER GO TO THIS NAIL SALON !!!!!!! EVERRRRR !!!! The tech I went to was Tommy and I believe the woman I spoke with is seated right next to him to the right when youre facing them. 100% dissatisfied and will never be returning, if i could refund my money myself i would and peel this polish off and give it right back to them. A true disappointment and worst nail salon Ive been to service wise. I highly recommend some nail shaping classes and polishing courses. I thought that was the basics. to think he laughed at my nails I had when I came in and repeatedly commented on them to do a worse job than the previous tech i went to did. Ive been getting my feet and nails done for 3+ years. They just recently changed Management and Im happy to say that I was very pleased. They offered free drinks, had free WIFI, and tried their best to get you in and out fast. They had a promotion going on for 20% off so I recieved a Classic Pedicure (check their website for details) for only $20. Im happy to say that Ill be coming back for several more years to come.

Great people. They do an AWESOME job on my toes. I like the little flowers they paint on.

Overall the atmosphere and environment were pretty good; however, I am hesitant about returning due to quality. About 3-4 days after my installation (SNS dipping powder) my nails began to chip. I had to go back twice (due to availability) to get it fixed. After fixing, another nail has broken :(. I have not been involved in any hard manual labor or hit my hands, so it bothers me that after getting the service recommended and paying $35 that 4 of my nails have been affected.

Im not usually a complainer but this was the worst manicure Ive even had. My gel polish wasnt put on smoothly and more of it ended up on my fingers around my nails than it would have if Id done them myself. The staff werent friendly at all, they were more interested in their conversations than they were on their work (which probably explains the poor work). There are 5 or 6 other places in the area, go to one of those instead.
