Indy nails is under new management. The new owner is young and passion about what she does. Very friendly and professional
Wonder job. Great customer service
Fabulous job on my nails! Not thick, great shape, no charge to cut down, AND didn’t make me bleed or even come close to cutting the skin around my nails!Though I can’t be a regular because I live on the west side of Indy, I WILL be making an effort to run my errands out this way as often as possible so that I have a good excuse to get my nails done here! You can certainly count on my return! :)
Was told to come back at a specific time, when we arrived at set time they had given our seats to 2 others and tried to make a scene
Eric got my daughter and I in last minute on a holiday and was such a joy to be with. Great place for a pedicure!
I would like to start by stating that I had a lot of reservations about writing a review. I feel like folks complain more than they give praise these days, but I feel responsible to warn other potential patrons.I took my wife in to have her nails done and as I was sitting waiting for her, I heard her voice some displeasure in the way the service was being performed. I typically stay out of these types of affairs, but the man who was doing her nails, who I later found out was the owner, became increasingly more and more combative with her. This is not behavior that I am used to in any nail salon that I have ever taken her to. I stood to intervene and was told that we both needed to leave immediately. My wife was visible shaken and bewildered by his outburst. I immediately grabbed my wifes hand and we left. We will NOT be returning to this salon. No one should visit this salon. I am unsure of how this business is still operating.
My mani and pedi are perfect. Both Eric and Donnie are good people and masters of their craft.
Initially, I was pleased to have been able to call and make a same day appointment. I was scheduled to leave on a business trip the following day and had waited too late to schedule a nail appointment with my usual nail tech.Upon arrival there were two male nail techs and two customers including myself. I thanked the nail tech for accepting my appointment on such short notice and advised him of my upcoming business trip. The nail tech was not receptive of my gratitude, but I just assumed that he was not personable or might have been having a rough day.I requested to have my existing French Tip gel manicure removed and redone. The typical removal process of gel polish is done by wrapping the nails in foil and whatever solvent the use to remove the gel. It is then followed by using drill to sand off or remove the rest of the gel.The nail tech wrapped my nails in foil with the solvent, but instead of using the drill; the nail tech proceeded to remove the polish with his own nails, manually scraping off the remaining gel polish that was not removed by the solvent. I was not comfortable with this process, as it seemed to be unsanitary. I politely inquired about why he was not using the drill to remove the gel. He became annoyed and retorted that the repeated use of the drill can cause the nails to become weak. I understood what he meant, but I did not understand why he would opt to use his own nails to scrape my nails instead of a tool. I should have left at this point, but I was in such desperate need to have my nails done because my flight was scheduled to leave the next day.I allowed the nail tech proceed with the manicure. As the other nail tech was wrapping up with his client and I heard him tell her that if she were to miss her appointment her house would burn down. I thought that was a bit over the top, but I assumed that might just be their banter. The customer who was being serviced by the other nail tech eventually left and another customer had arrived and was being serviced. I could not help but overhear the conversation the other nail tech was having with the client who had arrived. He made references to his own family calling them “retarded”. This made me uncomfortable, but I did not feel it was my place to be vocal about it.The nail tech who was performing the French Tip Gel Manicure was doing a very poor job at making all the the French Tips look uniform. I politely asked him to fix the nails and he again was visibly annoyed and started making noises like he was irritated that I was asking for him to correct his work. As he was putting my nails under the gel nail dryer I noticed that the polish looked “bubbly” and inquired about what could be done to fix it.The nail tech asked the other male nail tech to look at my nails. The other nail tech BARELY to a glimpse at my nails and told me that my nails were “okay”. I did not agree and asked if he could take a closer look at my nails. The nail tech who was performing the service on my nails, jumped up and ran to the front desk area. Keep in mind my right hand is still wet and has not been placed under the gel nail dryer. The two of them exchange a few words in their native language. The other nail tech then advises me that I don’t have to pay and that I’m free to go. At this point, I am confused and I do not understand why they are not willing to complete my nails. I explained to them that I was not there for a free service. I wanted to pay to have the service completed. The nail tech who was doing my nails advise me that my nails did not turn out right because I “was not happy with myself”. I am now in disbelief. I began trying to plead with them to complete my nails as I had a business trip the following day. Both of the men begin yelling at me and demanding that I leave their shop. Keep in mind, this is all happening right in front of the other customer. I am trying my best to keep my composure. The nail tech then proceeds to tell me that “the public is sick of my kind”. I asked him what he was referencing to and what he meant by “my kind.”
I absolutely love 💘 Donny and Eric.
I love Eric and Donnie! Eric does the best acrylic sets and Donnie does great natural nails! He takes appointment only... call ahead
The best salon out there! Eric and Donny dont mess around when ti comes to giving you the perfect look. When I get acrylics, they never lifted and looked SO good. They are very strong, too. My pedicures always last forever, and I put Donny to work because my feet are AWFUL.People dont seem to understand that this is a business, and you make an appointment for a reason. They have a very loyal clientele and they get really booked. So just CALL if you are going to be late! Give them a heads up. You being late your appointment DOES effect their day.Eric is fun and sassy, and if youre a sensitive soul and cant take a joke, go somewhere else. Ive been going to this salon for a decade now and I can not complain at all. I love Eric and Donny and their hard work.
Thank you Eric for making my hands look great going into the holiday season. And Donny thanks for getting my husbands feet right. Love you guys.
PLEASE AVOID THIS NAIL SALON!!Both of the nail technicians in this shop are extremely rude and unprofessional. I visited this salon and was treated very poorly. The technician who did my mani/pedi rushed through the service and did not do a good job. I still planned to tip even though I was treated poorly and he did a poor job, but I changed my mind when I heard the owner speaking badly to another customer in my presence. I paid and quickly left. I will not be returning to this location .
I do not understand how Indy Nails has continued to stay in business. The men working there are disrespectful, catty, and unprofessional. The type of banter they have and the jokes they make are inappropriate. They do not take pride in their work and if you try to get them to correct anything they get upset and refuse to fix it.
Have been going for a few years now, always very entertaining, and always a WONDERFUL job. I usually only get pedicures, I get to kick back, read a magazine and get to talk to Donnie for a bit. I am a runner and my feet arent always looking pretty but its never an issue.
I actually never went to the nail salon because the guy who answers the phone and schedules the appointments is extremely rude. Even after reading other reviews about the bad service, I decided to give them a chance. I called yesterday and scheduled an appointment for a pedicure for this afternoon...the guy was definitely not pleasant but I overlooked it. Well, this morning my daughter woke up with a stomach virus, so I called to reschedule my appointment. I explained why I needed to reschedule (I couldnt send my daughter to daycare and I didnt figure they wanted me to bring her to the salon with a stomach virus). The guy became very rude to me and almost yelled while telling me that cancelling appointments is unacceptable and messes up their schedule. I apologized and explained that I wouldnt be trying to reschedule if I had any other choice. He was still rude and told me I should have made sure the appointment fit into my schedule before I made it. I told him that I would tell my infant child to check my calendar before getting sick next time...and then I told him to just cancel the appointment because I didnt want to reschedule after all. There is absolutely no excuse for that level of rudeness and unprofessional behavior.
Horrible service horrible! Came in at 3:18 they didn’t ask what I would need done or anything they said that they are not taking nobody in it they’re closed mind you they don’t close until 4 PM if you’re up hours of operation says closes at four you need to work till four or change your hours of operation I’m calling the BBB on you to report that. came in at 3:18 they didn’t ask what I would need done or anything they said that they are not taking nobody in it they’re closed mind you they don’t close until 4 PM if you’re up hours of operation says close is it for you need to work till four or change your hours of operation I’m calling the BBB on you to report this Despicable place in these despicable people I felt discriminated against. All I needed was a new polish I’m sure that would have taken The other worker who is doing nothing every bit of 10 minutes
My nails were done terribly. I voiced my displeasure with the man who did my nails and he acted as if I were insulting him. When I asked him to fix my nails he refused, demanded payment, and rushed me out of the shop. I am highly disappointed and will not be returning.
Best place to get your nails done. You should schedule an appointment to guarantee a time.
DO NOT GIVE ANY BUSINESS TO THIS SALON. The owner and the nail tech are really rude and unprofessional.
Eric does an excellent job
