I usually do not write reviews unless Im impressed. Called Petes Towing at 5am on a Friday and they were on site within 15 Minutes to tow our tractor trailer. They were not the first (24hr) company I tried to call as others didnt even answer, but Im so glad I did. Very professional, super fast hookup and very fair priced. Our day trip from DFW to New Waverly took an unexpected turn. Steven was able to get us and the truck back home to DFW. Super professional and super nice. Highly recommended and would not hesitate to use this company again should I be in the area and my bad luck strikes again.

Im sure they would be great. However they dont have a contract to service my complex. This truck parked influent of my driveway, and i couldnt get either car out.

My son was in a car accident on 5-5-2021. My son was rear-ended and had car less than 24 hours like maybe 5 hours and the price to get vehicle was $543.45!!!! Thats crazy!!

They provided assistance with AAA towing. They were great by helping me tow my car to a local mechanic. If my memory serves me correctly, it was Richard that towed my car. He was great and professional. He made everything go smoothly. I appreciate you for helping me out!

They messed up my front bumper then claimed they had nothing to do it. I saw the damage with the one eyes and they claimed to have nothing to do with it. Don’t use this company they will damage you vehicle then act like both happened. 1/10

Called for an estimate to pull out our bus they said it would be $750!!?Called another towing company and they did it for $250 and got it out in 10 minutes.Pete Johnson towing is Overpriced & absurd especially during a time in need.

Awesome Service! I called them to get a tow and they told me they would get someone down there in 30 min, but they came in less then 20 min! Got me to the shop on time to get my rig fixed! Very good price and very honest and professional staff! Definitely would recommend!

Pure garbage. I would recommend you find a better towing company. Specifically, the customer service is bad. Abysmally bad. My father tried to get his car back that they towed. First, they gave him almost no prior notice that the car was even being auctioned, then they gave him until 10 AM the day of the auction. He showed up BEFORE 10 AM, and literally told them they were not to sell that car, and that he had the insurance company on the phone ready to clear things up. They auctioned it anyway, and then we were threatened by one of the employees (an overweight gentleman with dreadlocks) and told he was going to come to our house and fight my 54-year-old father, who is a disabled war veteran. Needless to say, we are going to be filing a complaint with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration. This is making my family destitute and screwing us over even more than the struggles weve already been dealing with. This is pure evil at its finest.

Dallas helped me change my tire because I couldn’t get two of the bolts off. He was super helpful (especially since I had just got done crying out of frustration) and nice. He ended up finishing up changing my tire for me. Please use Pete Johnson Towing for your future towing needs.

I was so pleased with Pete Johnson towing. I called to have my car picked up after hitting a deer and figured it would take awhile as I live 25 mi outside of town. Within 20 minutes of making my call I received a call that someone was on his way. They arrived timely, were very kind and gave me an honest garage recommendation as I am new to the area. I knew he wasnt trying to rip me off. Id use Pete Johnson again in a heartbeat.

This towing company is the worst towing company in Huntsville. They made a date mistake in my invoice, I requested them to correct it several times but they dont listen. They are such bunch of craps. If it is possible I will give them zero rating.

Edit: Long story short, I had to delete the first part of this post because I dont trust people...so heres the part that counts:He got there and saw how distraught I was and worked FAST to get my truck open. He was so nice and sympathetic.I have always gotten a little annoyed when I saw wrecker trucks speeding around everyone on the road. But now I have a completely different perspective. Ill always keep in mind what a wrecker driver might be rushing to or who he may be going to rescue. I am seriously thankful for these guys!

Pete Johnson towing is extremely prompt and professional with their work. I’ve had multiple towing needs in the Huntsville area and he has always given me a helping hand quickly and efficiently for a good price.

Wouldnt give them a star to be honest. I was involved in a traffic stop in Huntsville on my way to the college world series. Needless to say the car was put in this tow lot. After sitting Friday and Saturday. It cost 389 dollars to retrieve the car. I show up on Sunday thanks to a ride from family and the impound fee is paid for. They have lost the keys.... now my relative has to be in Fort Worth and my route goes further north and I have work I cant miss at 6am Monday morning. So they fumble around looking everywhere making excuses. They threw my brother out and the dispatcher was very rude even after acknowledging they made the mistake. We contacted a lock Smith that could mold a key for 175 dollars, but the dispatcher at the tow company said it was too expensive. And called another one which was to no avail. Once I said I would pay for half of it they said they would do it. Then the locksmith wouldnt answer any of our calls after saying that price was disgusting. So I sat there for hours because I had to have a friend from my work drive 550 miles round trip starting at 5 pm and making it home at 130am. Luckily made it to work... Ive dealt with tow companies before and this by the most unprofessional. When they were contacted about replacing the keys. They said the keys would have to be brought back to have another one made. Instead of doing the right thing and paying for another set by a locksmith in the city I live in....

One of these larger wreckers put the safety of other motorist in harms way on 45 in Huntsville. There was obsessive use of his horn as he swerved in and out of traffic. Almost clipping a few vehicles. Definitely would not recommend this company.

My first experience with this company was great granted I did have my car totaled but they did help me out the best that they could. This morning on the other hand about 7:30 whoever was driving the wrecker decided he was going to completely ignore his YIELD sign and sped up instead (it was obvious that he was already speeding) then preceded to cut me off which caused me to hit my brakes. If I hadnt of been aware of my surroundings like he should have been we would have collided. By the way thanks for showing my 6 year old that even the people that are supposed to help us dont know how to read traffic signs. Which is the reason most people wreck in the first place. Nice.

My car broke down in a remote area of Huntsville, Tim from Pete Johnson was out within a half hour. He was polite, friendly and even put up with 65 lb dog riding along on the way back. My car is lowered and modified and he took extra precautions to make sure everything was done properly and safely. Great guy and a great experience, even though my car was out of whack. Ill definitely call them again, ask for tim!!

I get that I was in the wrong to park where I parked, but he charged me $168.00 to get my car back. That is extortion. I understand that there was a sign posted and people have the right not to let you park places, but that fee is disgusting. Not a nice man.

While traveling on 45 right now two of your drivers came flying down the shoulder to get to an accident scene almost causing several others. I guess y’all are out trying to drum up extra business even if you have to creat it yourself? Absolutely pathetic. this is why people hate tow companies. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

While driving to Galveston for a family vacation, our van decided to blow the transmission on a Sunday leaving us stranded on the side of the highway. Pete Johnson Towing was the only company to send someone to help. The driver, Tim, was EXCELLENT! He took us back to town and to a nice, clean hotel (Econolodge), left our van in the parking lot so we could get our bags when needed and then told me to call him on Monday and hed take us where ever we needed to go. Monday morning, after a lot of calls to various repair shops, we called Tim to tow our van home to our family mechanic. He showed up promptly and had the van transferred to a flat bed for safer towing and had the van at our mechanics before they closed on Monday. All of this was accomplished BEFORE they asked for payment. They helped turn a stressful situation into a solution that even allowed us to continue our vacation!

RUDE RUDE RUDE and OVER PRICED. I called in to question a towing charge that I was given to the body shop we had a vehicle towed to. When I called the guy that answered the phone immediately got very short and hostile, very disrespectful and yelled at me. When I asked him to not speak to me that way he proceeded to tell me your not my moma to tell me how to talk ill talk to you however I want then hung up on me, when my boss called back since its a company vehicle he refused to give his name or allow her to talk to the owner of the business proceeding to yell at her and hang up on her. There are fees on the bill that dont make sense and they refused to answer them saying they assumed it was going to be an insurance claim so they were doing us a favor needless to say it IS NOT an insurance claim its an out of pocket. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE BBB. The driver, Tim was very friendly and great to work with, the office staff or whomever answers the phone is a different story.

RUDE, they guy who was at the desk try to fight me just because I asked why I got towed. Started cursing me out and then took his cash out, flashing it and still cursing me out. Told me that he was going to call his bodies to beat me up and stuff, well it was wild. Still dont know what I did to get him get all mad.

I was told it would be 15 to 20 minutes to show up to assist me. After waiting over 30 minutes, I called and was told that instead of sending someone to help me, he sent all his people to a wreck. Never tried to call me to tell me what he was doing so I could find alternative assistance. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Have had to unfortunately use Pete Johnson numerous times. I mean nobody wants to have to get a wrecker to tow your vehicle but it happens. Seems to happen to me frequently but I’ve never had a single issue with staff or the handling of my vehicle. “I don’t always call a wrecker service, but when I do it’s Pete Johnson’s.”
