Definitely would recommend this company! Edwin did our service and was extremely personable and seemed to really enjoy his job. This was only our second service so we had a lot of questions, but he was extremely helpful with all of our concerns and walked us through the process . He made sure to use safe products as we have pets and small children. We haven’t had any issues thus far.

To anyone reading reviews trying to decided if whether or not to use this service, I cannot recommend it enough!Today I my property was treated by, Michael. Right off the bat he was communicated clearly what his plan was for the treatments step by step, and made sure I was aware of the steps I would need to take to protect my pets until the treatments had fully cured.I was very pleased in speaking with him because of his courteous and positive attitude throughout the entire process! He was very thorough through each step, and I feel confident that the work he did, and the products he used will be effective!

Dong and Zach gave us a thorough inspection, explained everything we needed, and never pressured us to purchase that day. Gave us time to ask all questions and even sent over pictures of things the home builders needed to tend to. Very helpful. I feel more comfortable moving forward with their services because they were sincere and didn’t pressure us.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They charge a ton of money, sell you on false promises and do not deliver. Their pesticide does not work. Techs do less than satisfactory job. We ended up with more bugs then we had prior to hiring them. They try to tell you that their first 2 sprays draw them out and disrupt the bugs egg cycle, but we had more than 2 sprays. Couldn’t even get them out to do a respray for bugs in between services even though after many phone calls they promised to have someone contact us to schedule. Their mosquito fogging is a joke too! A lot of money for a preventative and minor treatment only for it to turn into a big bug problem. Whatever they use attracts bugs and mosquitoes. This company has poor customer service, leaves you on hold forever, and is filled with excuses. However they are fine with taking your money and not living up to their end of the bargain. Check out your local home improvement store. Less expensive alternatives that will actually work without the headache. If I could give this company zero stars I would.

Their driver sat in our parking lot in an EcoShield company truck on a Saturday and had lunch. We are closed on Saturdays. The driver threw all of his fast food trash out his window into our parking lot - threw it out individually - bag, napkins, drink, wrapper, fry holder, etc. Then he drove off. We are not a customer - who would pay for this level of service? I was able to get great screen grabs and video of the event - what fun!

We just had our initial service, and the technician Kevin Banks was so helpful and answered all my questions regarding the treatments he did, and was very friendly with both and my two dogs. We’re still unpacking, but I’m happy to know that’s one less think I have to worry about.

This review is for the communication I had with a supervisor regarding our service. We originally had a treatment performed and had intended to keep the year contract for the special pricing, but found out a few days later we had a whole house system installed from another company. We just moved into a new house so we decided to cancel service with Eco shield. After unsuccessfully trying to reconcile our account, I finally spoke to Courtney J. and she was very helpful in getting our issue resolved. I appreciated her positive attitude and was impressed by the way she handled it so quickly. The issue wasn’t about the service treatment that we had, it was the representative that I talked to that didn’t deal with the situation correctly.

Jay came to my door in Houston, TX stating his company was servicing households in the area. To fill his schedule for the day, he offered a discount - a 12 month contract with reduced/free extras. His sales pitch seemed practiced, his enthusiasm poor and he wasn’t wearing a mask. Regardless, there are a lot of pests in Houston and I am interested in quality pest control. I told him Id like to review his company first. He took my name, phone number and e-mail.As part of his sales speech, there were 3 red flags that put me on edge. He mentioned how nice a house I have, noted that he saw a box in the house and asked if I had moved recently and then asked if I had cameras. Im hoping that this was just poor social skills.Despite meetings, I wanted to respond to Jay asap. As soon as I was done, I looked at several different reviews sites for EcoShield (including Google). Like most pest control services, common complaints included aggressive sales tactics, pesticides that either didnt work or made the problem worse and high costs. Given the state of online reviews, I needed more time to find honest reviews (i.e. my neighbors ^.^)Preparing to call back, I looked in my e-mail for a quote and noticed that they had already create an account for me and sent me a very official looking service notification e-mail. I had clearly stated I didnt want to make any commitment, so the account and e-mail were alarming. I have docked 1 star for this. I was expecting a quote in my e-mail only (as we had discussed).Given the time constraints to confirm the deal, the sales approach has been aggressive so far. I called Jay to let him know I wouldnt be proceeding with his service today. He immediately asked me why before I could say Id like to keep them in mind for future. I explained that there were a number of poor reviews and he demanded I tell him where because his reviews on Google were good. They were escalating the conversation, putting pressure on me to accept their service which I didnt appreciate. He then switched me to someone who claimed they were an owner of the business. I believe his name was Brian? This new person said they would come by and do the service today at a lower cost and I would have 3 days to cancel. I listened patiently as he mentioned he was trying to keep his people employed and this would be a great opportunity for me to evaluate his service. I again replied that I did not want to proceed with his service today. He became noticeably more emotional and forceful in offering his service. I again repeated that I did not want his service today and did not appreciate the aggressive sales tactics. Was he not used to listening to customers or was this a sales tactic? I will commend him on keeping his anger in check. Just short of yelling, he managed to say that he wasnt being aggressive and was just trying to keep his guys employed. He quickly said he was done talking to me and hung up.@Brian, if youre reading this, I apologize for angering you. My concern was (and still is) that I will be billed for a service I havent agreed to (particularly with an account created on my behalf).In the phone conversation, I was expecting something like Well thank you for considering us and I hope you keep us in mind for future pest control needs. Instead, I was given the impression that EcoShield is struggling for business, pushed further on an aggressive sales front and have the owner of the company angry (and potentially holding a grudge?) against me. I have docked another star for this.Of note, I have used EcoShield for several years in a different state and was really happy with the service. I didnt want to sign any contracts today before I had gotten a better idea of what to expect in Houston. Despite an initial poor impression from their sales person, I was planning on keeping his number for future consideration of EcoShield. After the phone conversation, I don’t believe the company would want my business even at full price. I’ve unfortunately removed EcoShield from my list of considerations.

Do not use this company! They just rip me off over $3,300. The salesman Jesse came out and told me all that they were going to do for my house to protect it but the crew didnt follow his instructions and what they did was very poor in quality. Before I approved of them doing this job, I told Jesse that he needed to be at my home to instruct these guys on what all needs to be done, he agreed but never showed up. When I contacted Jesse about the issues, he denied everything we agreed too needing done. There techs installed flashing around my garage corners to prevent rodents from getting in and the flashing had very sharp edges in which I told them because I was worried of my kids getting cut on it, I asked them to redo it so there would not be any problems and to make it look better and their second attempt was worse than the first (see photos). On top of that they only did one of the three garage doors I paid for and because the first garage was so bad I told them that I would remove the flashing as I did not want anyone being cut and they said okay and they would not charge me for it. The following business day, I contacted Jesse asking when he will finish the job and also asked for reimbursement for the stuff they didnt do, he again denied everything and also told me he would not not warranty the work they did. Do not trust anything this guy says or the work this company offers!. This is a fraudulent company and am now forced to have my attorney file a law suit seeking reimbursemet. In my whole life I have never felt so ripped off than what I do now. Spare yourself the headache and do not use this company!

Whenever I contact EcoShield, I am always met with outstanding friendliness and professionalism. Today, I called and spoke with Brenden, and he was no exception! I only needed to know the remaining time of my service agreement because, honestly, I was about to start shopping around for lower prices. When you ask questions like that, most customer service reps will just give you the date your contract expires, and then send you on your way. But Brenden took the time to not only explain that I was a valuable customer, but he went so far as to tell me how I could save on future services. EcoShield keeps the bugs out of my house, and their customer service associates like Brenden make it easy to stick around. Keep up the great work, guys!!

Do not use this pest company. Salesman came by at a bad time when I was in a rush. Noted that they would be out the next day and offered me the initial first time charge if I were to sign up, so I did it (now regretting that). Then completely rushed through everything else and failed to mention they had a mandatory check up 30 days later, which they charge you full price for (when you are already paying $150 every 2 months). Most likely will cancel my contract even though I am locked in for 2 years and will have to pay a $150 cancellation fee. Customer service was not willing to help at all despite the salesman not properly walking me through everything the agreement entailed. Very disappointed!Update: Owner responded that all of this is part of the service agreement, and they would send me a copy if needed. I already had a copy, sent to me after I signed up (after being rushed through it by the salesman). My fault in the end, but again, disappointed in this company.

Horrible service provider! Please use a smaller more local company! We moved down to the Houston area last July (2020) and they promised a lot and DID NOT deliver! Not sure if I even had a contract with them. It took them 3 months to cancel service and they still haven’t delivered on the empty promises from the salesperson. Please be warned! I have had multiple pest problems and even with touch ups, we still have them! I asked them to make it right and the customer service rep just reads off a script! Just all around terrible! I will leave this same review on Omni- Sheild’s.

I spoke to your call center. The lady was super rude and was misbehaving on the entire call. Not helped and was not able to answer any of my questions and was repeating same statement over and over again and on my request calling your supervisor she refused and told me non one superior then her is there and end the call. Is this kind of service you guys are providing ??? Un acceptable.They told me the contract for 90 days service and signed me the contract for 60 days agreement and I was not aware of this until I called them to schedule the free service. I told them its a rip off and please do the service for free as its not even 60 days yet and i will cancel the contract. They told me that there is no free service and i will be change again even though its not 60 days yet. At the end of the day after paying them for 2 service you dont expect this attitude and service from the company. I referred them after the initial service to both of my neighbors and will make sure that they will cancel as well.

We absolutely love Shamika who often answers the phone when we call in, as well as her colleague that sits next to her. They are both amazing. We are semi rural and so deal with carpenter bees seasonally and love that we can call for touch ups as needed.Today we spoke with Shelby. She was also super informative, kind and polite.Caleb serviced our home and is absolutely wonderful. Today, Caleb noticed our freezer had just started leaking a bit and he pointed that out to us. We can’t say enough good things about our service. We had signed up with OmniShield many months ago. So the change to the EcoShield ownership is new to us. As of today’s visit, we continue to be pleased.

Ive been historically happy with the service provided by EcoShield, but the continuity of service provided by the different technicians seems to be declining.Recently we were out of town when the technician came by to address some problem areas. When I checked the report, it stated they had treated the entire property to include the interior (not possible). Upon our return, it didnt seem that they had done much on the exterior either, as we had nests, webs, etc around the home. We followed up asking for someone to come back, but were told we were too close to our next visit (frustrating, but we said ok).I happened to be home when the next technician (different technician) came by, and I made sure to point out specific areas of concern (the same nests and problem areas). The technician said ok, but left the property without letting me know he was finished (they typically check prior to leaving). So, I went to check the areas we discussed, and found that they hadnt been touched...once again.I dont really understand why this is happening, because the area of concern isnt a big mess, would probably take 3-5 minutes to address, and is something Im supposedly paying for.Ill likely be looking for quotes this week for another service provider.

I dealt with two lovely young gentlemen that visited my home whilst serving a neighbour.... albeit unannounced which is something I can’t stand... we did in fact need pest control assistance. Tried for an initial service but they didn’t agree. Ended up having to enter into a 12 month contract at $135 bi monthly for pest control inside and outside the home - huge and convincing sales pitch. Unfortunately the technician though, after the job left all the debris of the wasps nests laying all over the ground outside and we’re expected to clean it up. It has eggs in it and it just seems ‘poking the hornets nest’ with a broom is what’s happened. There’s still residue left where the wasps can re-home themselves. I then phoned customer service to ask if it could be cleared up, the response was that they don’t want to damage our paint job etc. so this level of service is not provided. Luckily I was in the three day ‘cooling off period’ so I canceled all future services on the spot with no penalty. Feeling better about the decision since reading some of these reviews. Have images but pics wouldn’t unfortunately upload.

Don’t buy into the smooth talking salesperson! They will NOT let you cancel your contract at your convenience. I’ve done my own exterminating for years but finally decided to try out a company doing it for me. The service we received was mediocre and rushed at best.Also, my wife became pregnant right after I agreed to the service and I requested to cancel my contract to limit possible exposure to unsafe chemicals and they refused and told me “the pesticide is safe around your pregnant wife”. I did not schedule an appointment after that so they showed up at 8am on a Saturday morning a couple weeks later after I had worked night shift and got home at 6am. My wife told them that they can’t do inside because I needed to sleep so they just did outside only (they still charged me a full service fee). I complained to customer service about being woken up after coming off of night shift when I did not schedule an appointment and they responded that “not everyone gets to sleep in on Saturdays”I told them not to return to my property and they continued to charge me for all remaining services that they did not provide. I told them I will not be paying a cent of what they’re trying to charge me and now they’ve sent the $297 to collections. I will not be paying and I will make sure every person I come across knows how terrible this business is and make sure all my neighbors know to avoid them at all costs unless you want to be bullied into a contract and receive mediocre service in return.

UPDATE: *****STILL no one has shown up to get rid of the wasp nest above our front door. Per your reply, the telephone wait times are the least of our concern. We NEED the WASPS removed. Your contract states you will have someone out between normal services for any problems such as this. Nothing. You clearly only care about your payments you receive and NOT in the safety of your clients. I was offered 50% off our next payment if I didnt cancel and I was assured a tech would be out to remedy the wasp situation. Since NO ONE has shown up I no longer care for a discount on a contract which clearly does NOTHING for us. I will call tomorrow to continue cancelling. What a horriblecompany.*******Disappointed in myself for signing up with a company who goes door to door to get clients.....and that I didnt check the BBB first. Eco Shield aka Omni Shield has an F rating. We have another wasp nest above our front door. Called today to have it removed and after 3 phone calls, waiting on hold for 20 plus minutes, I was told it will be August 4th. Thats NINE DAYS. First of all, I live in a no-soliciting neighborhood. That typically stops most door to door sales, but in this case it did not. I answered that door, as I thought it was someone I was expecting. After I told this dude 5 times that I was not interested, he got irritated. I already have pest control, and Im really happy. I respect the fact that a good salesperson doesnt take no for an answer, but you cant win them all. Regardless of the situation, this guy needs to be nice, even if its a hard sell. I trust our security ushered his behind out.

Pushy salesmen. Unkempt uniforms. Scared the hell out of me and my daughter. Please do not come through our front gate unannounced. Half of the people on our Nextdoor page feel the same way. Try any other tactic than this or at least have them tuck in their shirts.

Derrius was very professional, courteous and answered our questions. What is not certain is the elimination of bees and mosquitos as this is the very reason we hired this company. I suppose time will tell. The Salesperson assured us this would be resolved or money back guarantee.

These company was told not to return to our home unless we were there. On July 1st they sent an email stating they wanted to come out on the 6th. I emailed back and said NO we wouldnt be home until the 5th.We get a bill saying they were here on the 5th. We came a day home early and they were not here. Our cameras didnt pick them up nor did our house cleaners. Also, they always ask us our favorite cereal or take our picture when they complete the job. They didnt provide any of the info nor provide any proof they were there.Also, a tech came out on 4/26/2021 knocked our camera off its mount and shattered the lens. Never heard about the replacement after several emails.Lastly, they kept threatening me that they would cancel the contract and make me pay the whole thing. Im not even in contract with them.I have reported them to the State of Texas; and will also file several consumer complaints.
